Registration for Disney's Go Red for Women 5K has reached capacity and the 2008 Disney's Women Run the World 15K has reached 95% of capacity!

If you are still on the fence about the 15k, better sign up quick!

Wow - looks like the Minnie got a great response this year. Hopefully that will let the powers to be at Disney Racing to keep having some sort of race this time of year. Its a beautiful time there (well beside the heat!!) but I mean with the Flower and Garden Festival (and I am sure it won't be as hot at 6:15 in the morning as it is at 12 noon!! LOL)

just curious, how many 5k runners will there be?

And is there a link to last year's result? we are a group of slow joggers to fast walkers and are curious to see where the crowd of runners will be!

Last year, the 5k had 1108 finishers and the 15k had 1992 finishers.

Thanks...sure looks like a lot of walkers, as about half the field was over 40 minutes for 5k. Looking forward to it!

22 years ago my sister and I in High School ran a 5k, and she finished ahead of me in 25:59, I ran 26:01. Today, I would love to run 36:01!!!

At this time last year, the 5K was only 50% full. The Minnie 15K wasn't even posted where it was at this point.

I heard rumors Disney was hoping for 4000 in the 15K(which they never got close to before) and 1500 in the 5K.

The replacement race for the Minnie is scheduled to be run in March. No Flower & Garden ith the race next year.

March??? I was hoping for at least April but oh well what can you do.

Robert, do you know if they would have a 5k in combination with the replacement race? I hope so since my neice's bday is in March and maybe we can combine it into a bday trip.

When I did the ING Georgia Half Marathon, the rep from Disney said it would definitely be a Princess Half Marathon. I did not think to ask when :rolleyes:
