we are booked for a standard 1 br at the boardwalk villas. Someone at disney told us that it was a "parking lot view".

The type of accomodations we get are very important to us, we've never been there before. Are these these OK, or should we ask for something different? Please help. We are going April 3-9.

Standard of course could always be parking lot view. There is also a little lake/pond in front of the parking lot...which is what you would probably be seeing.

The one bedroom villas are great...you will love them.

We had a standard one bedroom in December, it was on the corner over the pond & fountain. It also faced the parking lot & front driveway. It wasn't bad and there was a bonus - we could see the high fireworks from Illuminations at night and hear the music.

Did you book on points or a regular reservation through CRO? Only DVC reservations are separated by standard & preferred views. Reservations through CRO are one price and can be anywhere.

The one bedroom is wonderful - I wouldn't change it. Lots of space. And the location near both Epcot & MGM is very convenient.

We always get the standard view at the BWV and it has had some of the most pleaseant "parking lot " view of any where. The beautifull pond between the building and the parkinglot is fantastic. One time we were facing the entrance loop but it is so beautifully lite up a night I didn't mind it.

So, standard views can be nice.....
