I have a couple of questions...

We booked a 4 day DCL cruise for next April. I just had a thought last night. I don't want to go to WDW for a few days, but thought it might be nice to spend a couple of nights at Vero Beach.

How far is Vero Beach from the DCL port?

Also, one other question, which airport do you fly into to get to the cruise line?

I'm guessing VB is about 75 miles south of the port. It's an easy ride on I 95 mostly.

We fly into Orlando because airfare has been more reasonable. We fly in the night before, stay near Orlando, rent a car 1-way, I think it's Budget that then gives you a short ride to the ship.

Hello Donna.... It is just under 50 miles and about an hour+10 drive. It is a straight shot down 1A and only turns you make is onto it from Port Canaveral and off at DVC. Lots of shore scenery on the way too. If you like wildlife you might also check out the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge just 10 minutes from the port. http://www.fws.gov/merrittisland/
