Hi all

I usually buy the photopass in the park on my last day, but this year I want to buy it at home, so I can add on all the pretty bits round the edges!! Does anyone know how much the postage is to the UK, and how easy this is to do? I am in two minds over whether to do it or not!

Thanks

I honestly can't remember how much it cost to ship over but it can't have been too much or I would have remebered! It was very easy to add extras, we doubled the number of photos. Delivery was super quick. I would recommend ordering at home.

postage is not included, when you come home and actually order the pictures you want on your cd you'll then get the international shipping cost added, i think its around $25

Postage is included - when you come home and order your CD you enter the voucher code and it ships for free.

Postage is only $6.99 if you haven't pre ordered and have to pay it.

I can confirm that postage is definitely included:thumbsup2

We have done the pre-pay option twice before and just paid for it again for our trip at the end of the month. All you Pay is $99.95.

When you come home you make any adjustments, borders etc, and when you are happy you put in your promotional code that you get by email and it removes the price of the Photopass cd and shipping from your order total.

Well worth the money and quite fast delivery too, was either FedEx or UPS, can't remember which:thumbsup2

Hope this clears up any confusion.

Can someone tell me - you know when you get your photos taken at Chef Mickeys and they come round the tables trying to sell you them - can you just get them added to photopass? Only if you buy the package! Once you've bought them there is a code on the back of the photo which you can put onto your photopass CD. I wish they would include all the dinner photos and also add more rides, having Test Track on photopass is great!

I'm really confused . . . I ordered the pre-pay photopass the other night from the link above. Before ordering i emailed the photopass website to check that it included international delivery, then you answered that question on here so I ordered.

The photopass people have just emailed to say that there is no such offer, and that even if there was it would not have been available to everyone, and would only be emailed out to select guests!!! I'm now having a panic attack thta I have given my card details to a company that don't exist!!!

Am I understanding the Photopass correctly. You just find your first photographer, they take your pic and give you a card. You then give this card to any photographer you see and they take you pic and card details. You don't need to buy anything! When you get home you enter the code on the Photopass website and you can download your pics for 30 days.
Have I got all this right.

Has anyone from the UK done the pre-order with the CD & Photobook??

Thinking of doing this and just wondered what people's opinions were of the actual photobook? Is it worth the extra $50?

appreciate any opinions anyone has!

We bought the pre-purchase CD for our trip in September/October last year and had about 250 photo's taken whilst there, we tried to catch as many photographers as we could because we don't have any photo's of the 4 of us due to DH usually being behind the camera.

When we got home I viewed all the photos on line and added borders etc to them, by the time we ordered the CD there was 1500 photos on it as i'd basically added a different border to every photo and yes it took the whole 30 days to do it :scared:

Be warned though, I had a monumental problem with ordering the cd (the code was never accepted) because apparantly the code you get is only good for 3 months from purchase, I purchased mine a year before we were going

This 3 month expiry though is not indicated on the website and was never confirmed by the staff members I had to deal with to try and get all 1500 photos back, which took 2 months by the way but they are here now and they are great and now I just have to save some money up to go and get them all printed off for the albums!!!

Find the first photographer and have your picture taken, take the card he gives you and use this for the whole duration (take a photo of the number on it just in case you lose it), it doesn't matter how many cards you get because you can get them all put on to the one card later on.

Also, if you want to have the photos with tink, stitch and simba just ask because we found that they didn't do this willingly even though we have kids so were disappointed that we didn't have more like this.

I will definitely be doing this pre-pay CD next time because it has saved us a fortune and was great having all 4 of us in a photo together.

Next time I will do it within the 3 months!!

We are in the process of building our albumm from our trip in Feb.
We made use of the photopass photographers at most of the landmarks around Disney, and also tried to get day and night photos so there was some contrast, and that turned out quite well.
Once you have made the decision to buy the cd/album it really takes a lot of the pressure of trying to get a good photo with the point and shoot - just leave it to the professionals :thumbsup2
When we return in October we will probably team up with Grandma and Sis, and just add the different card numbers to the one account.
For info the all the pics in my Sig were taken by photopass photographers. The one of my DD was originally a pic of her looking up at Pluto as he signed her autograph book. I then cropped it on the photopass website and added the Tink border. You can also change them to black and white, for extra effect.

We have ordered the photopass last year, shipping was free.

I am doing a photopass share for August.

You can also get your photo from the Test Track at Epcot on the CD as well.

They may have changed the shipping charges but it definately was included on ours last year with the pre-order code. For the poster that asked about downloading: Unless you buy the CD (before or after) you will have to pay for every pic,it would only take about 6 before the CD pays for itself & once bought you can print pics to your hearts content!
We had nearly 300 pics & that nearly doubled with add-ons-my only minor gripe is that the borders can be a bit repetitive after a while!

Don't worry about this, I emailed some time ago to try and check if there was expiry date for the pre-order code, and they said pretty much the same to me, they didn't seem to know such an offer existed!
I don't know why they don't know about this, but maybe it's better that they don't or they'll try and take the offer away :lmao:
I can confirm, as can many others on here that the code works, and that your shipping does end up getting discounted so you effectively get free delivery with the CD, I've never ordered a photobook, so I don't know whether they might add on a shipping fee for this with it being a larger item....

I haven't done it so can't comment but I have ordered photo books from Photobox and from Blurb.com (via their UK site) and they are really good quality so I would save the $50 and just get the CD - there are tonnes of options for photo books and with the rubbish exchange rate $50 is a lot to add in my opinion when you could get the CD and get a photobook done at your leisure here. Blurb.com downloads a programme called booksmart to your PC and the options are ENDLESS - different sizing, cover styles and types etc... so I would go with them.

Hope this helps

Since I had pre-ordered the photopass cd at the end of 2007 these comments had me slightly bothered :scared1:

I emailed WDW and received a reply; which I will retain, that said that my code should still be valid.

Glad that you got yours sorted out in the end, but hope that it was a one off instance :)

I have pre-ordered the last couple of years with no problems. I have had to pay postage but I believe it is included with the pre-purchase the reason I paid postage was because I ordered extra copies of the CD's ($10 per set) for the other parties rather than copying them.
Also the photobook is more expensive than what you can get in the UK but your pages are Disney themed and the book binding is embossed with your title and Castle on , so in my opion worth the extra for the added quality you get.

I have just pre-ordered both the CD and Book. In the past we have had just the CD but this time I went for the book as it is Chloe's first trip and I think that it will be a really nice momento. :goodvibes

It is expensive but I like to look at it that I am buying the CD and getting the book 'free' as if I was to order the CD afterwards it would cost me $125 plus about $20 shipping! Well thats how I sold it to DH!!! :lmao:

I understand from a thread on one of the other Disboards that this changed around Feb time - any that were ordered before the 'cut-off date' will be honoured with the free P&P, after the date and you have to pay now! there's also a charge for additional pages in the photobook ($1.75 pp rings a bell but could be wrong!)

Yeah they had seemingly been allowing you to add as many pages as you wanted at no extra cost which they now stopped. Plus with the removal of the discount for the resort photo sesisons and changes they've made on that, Disney is doing it's best to have me decide not to spend any money on combining offers......
