where would it be? Or, would you just leave it in Orlando. Tell us why also.

i think i might leave it in Orlando - i love traveling to FL and it's pretty cheap for us :)

I'd leave it right where it is. As much as I love travelling to WDW, I'm not sure another American city would want to be "blessed" by its presence.

Disney's America, anyone?

I think I would leave it where it is also. It is semi close to us and when you drive you get to see all kinds of new towns and places, stay at new beaches and things like that, I like to travel.

LOL! On the contrary.. I would never move WDW here... it would have to be closed 3/4 of the year or it would be MISERABLE!:rotfl:

as much as I would love to have it here, it would be closed most of the year due to snow and crappy weather. I'll leave it where it is!! =)

I would love to have it in Nashville but they would probably turn in into a mall.
I love to go to Fla anyway, but it would be nice if it were closer.

I would leave it right where it is. My DH and I love Florida and can't wait until we can move there. Although we might be confined to bed by the time the kids are out of college and we pay off college loans, etc. :rotfl2:

I like your line of thinking. It would be 30 minutes from Conroe. Of course we would have to listen to people complaining about the small birds that suck blood. Darn mosquitos.

Weatherwise it's where it should be for it operate at the year round clip it does. There is no off season. I'm 550 miles away, not too far, not too close. If I were really close i don't think I'd appreciate it nearly as much.

I think i would move it towards the panhandle of Fl or somewhere along the coast of GA or SC. Just because Orlando gets very little sea breezes and gets so STUFFY! I lived in Ft Myers FL and it gets hot but is not so stagnate so often! Gotta have nice weather though!

Right where it is...I have lived on the Jersey shore my entire life and have a hard enough time with the huge number of tourists we get. I could not even being to comprehend how crzy it would be if Disney came to town.... :)
Great idea for a thread though...

Florida and Disney go well together. I love coming to Disney from the Cold Canadian provinces in the winter and looking at the beautiful Blue skies of Florida! The lush foilage and smells of Disney wouldn't be the same if were elsewhere. That is why I am hesitate to go to Disneyland California.....Won't have the same feel!

You mean other than my hometown? I am not sure I would move it anywhere unless I could move it north in the winter because Orlando in July is brutal.

A little closer to SC, maybe Jacksonville for weekend trips. But not where I live. I'd never go because of all the tourists!!!

I like it where it is, but I need to move closer, win the lottery, quit my sucky Job, and get a 2 day parttime Job at Disney!:thumbsup2 Can you tell I have been planning this for like a LONG time?

It would be nice if it were closer to here (NYC), but then it would turn into something like Six Flags (but better of course), only open for the late Spring and Summer.

So, I would leave it where it is in Florida. Gives me a reason to take a big road trip and see the East Coast with DH and the boys. And if we ever decide to fly there when the boys are older, only a 2 hour flight!

Also, here's a thought...having it further away (at least for me) makes it kind of special when we do get to go there, rather than going every month and every weekend in summer because that's what I would do if I lived in Orlando...would definitely be an AP holder!

As much as I would love to see it in Texas, I would leave it there. It is actually hotter in the summertime here in Texas. And just as humid (well, in some parts of the state).

I would leave it where it is.Yes it gets hot and muggy in the summer but inland is a better location than anywhere on the coast for Hurricanes.

Walt spent many years and many, many dollars to find the perfect spot for WDW. I wouldn't dream of moving it anywhere else. :)

:sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

I used to live in North Alabama and  Opryland. I never heard the story. Why did they tear down Opryland to build a mall?

I did a lot more rides then shows, but remarked dh that Opryland had much better :charac2: :rockband: :charac2: shows, (free with admission) than Disney ever thought about.

OK, I said another theme park did something better than Disney. I'm putting on my flame suit now. :firefight

We always wished it was closer to Ohio but we like it right where it is. We really enjoy the Florida heat, and the weather there is great for a year round vacation destination. We use Amtrak to get there and that's part of the adventure, anticipation builds as we get closer and going home we relax and reflect on the trip, yes, let's keep WDW in Florida.

I would move it to the Carolinas. No I don't live there. The weather would still be great and a better location for many traveling.

Atlanta, because we need more traffic congestion.
