I dont mean to gloat honest and i am sorry for the waffle to follow, but i just have to share this with other Disney nuts.
I am a recent convert (about 2 years) but my DGF is obsessed and has been since childhood. Her parents took her to WDW every year from an early age. At 16 she started to work in our local Disney store and she continued all through university. When she finished uni she did the international programme working in Rose & crown as a server.
After coming back she took a job working at a bank which is where we met. She has always loved working for disney and said that if it was ever financially viable for us she would love to go back working there. She even worked for them in the evenings at Christmas whilst still working for the bank.....She really loves it.
Anyway several job changes later she was spending all her hard earned money in the Disney Store when the guy who had been the store manager when she was there approached her. He was now the area manager and asked her on the spot whether she would like the managers job! Unfortunately the pay wasn't close to her current salary and even though she desperaately wanted to take it after a week of mulling over the financial implications she declined. :sad2: However two hours later she had a phone call saying that they would meet her half way on salary and so disney had their latest addititon to the management team.
Now the GREAT NEWS. The benefits.................great discount on disney store, cheaper disney hotels, discount on all meals in any DISNEY PARK/RESORT and free, unlimited, unrestricted enterance to any disney park in the world for her and 3 guests!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
I must have done something right in a previous life! Our annaul trip may now become more regular!
