Minnie WISH transportation

Hey everyone!

Figure since we are now only 19 days out from the Minnie might be a good time to start a thread for folks to hook up for shared trans to the races. I know there have been discussions on this in other threads but might be easier to put them in one.

Know some folks are worried about trans so if we can get some of that taken care of, one less thing to think about!

If you have a car and are willing to pick up others, please post that. Or maybe several WISHers staying at the same resort w/o cars can share a cab.

I'm doing both the 5K and 15K, staying at CB and will have a car so can pick up a couple people from CB or PC. Just let me know.

I will be at All Star Sports. Looking for a ride to EPCOT (or AK?). If anyone can pick me up Sunday for the 15k and you are staying at any of the All Stars, Coronado Springs or AKL. IF CS or AKL, I can be out at the McDonalds or at the lobby checkin area, whatever you choose. I am very dependable and will be on time.

For the 15k, we plan on checking out early and parking the Motorhome at the finish.

What day do you get in? I expect us to get in around 12n/12:30 on Friday, then we are off to Fulton's Crab House for lunch at 1pm and then off to Packet Pickup. I've never stayed at SSR before so I'm not familiar w/ the layout. It's my sister's DVC Resort.

The Transportation Wizard on ourlaughlingplace.com says it takes about 22 min to get from SSR To AK by Bus. I'm guessing taxi may not take quite as long?

So, I'm thinking we should plan on a taxi around 4:30/4:45. I assume the concierge desk would call for us? We just need to call them that morning or advise them the night before? What do you think? Have the taxi pick us up at the main entrance by check-in (I think).

Three of us from OKW will be heading over to the 15K (me, hubby, and Nancy "padisneyfan"). We are planning to take a cab since I doubt anyone with a car can fit in all three of us. If a typical cab holds 4 passengers we would be able to squeeze in one other person.

ETA - We might even be able to get a minivan - I don't think those even cost extra, typically, do they?

I see that both of you are staying over at AK and driving over to EPCOT. I am on the way and was wondering if any of you had room for me?? I am over at ALL-Star Sports which is the first one along that road on the way over to EPCOT. I could be out front near the lobby area or even out near the security gate entrance.
