We will be there the same time you are going to be I think. We leave May 3rd and come home the 10th. We are staying off property the first four nights and at WL the last three
I see that you have 2 four year old boys. My girls are 3 and 4. Their first trip to WDW was a day trip last year and they loved it :lovestruc I think your boys will have a great time :thumbsup2 I love the pics of all your created Disney stuff. Isn't it fun to plan and create before you go ;)
By the way, what are those things in your last picture? They look really cute.

WOOOOHOOO!!!! We will be there the same time as you guys. We leave May 2nd and staying at POR Riverside for 7 nights.
The last picture is candy and gum. I found this thread on the Creative board that had templates of the Disney characters that you make wrappers for Hershey's Nuggets and 5 stick of gum packets. They are so much fun to make you should check it out. Here is the link to the thread

This shirt was actually done with bleach, I cut the Mickey head out of a full sticker sheet, cut out the date and placed the stickers on the shirt. Then carefully sprayed bleach on the cut out, I learned the hard way to cover the exposed areas of the shirt with an old towel to catch the overspray. Take the sticker off right away and rinse the shirt thoroughly.

I have a bunch of photos since I forgot to take pictures of the shirts before we left. :rotfl:
The designs I used were from rumbly tumbly, Michelle, Mickey, Lemmings, donatalie, chaoscent, and the autograph pages came from the autograph disign thread but I can't think of the name. I know I've left someone off, sorry for the bad memory! I may have used a disign from Pat's site too.

You can still use the dis-sign - blank or just add a name like I did. BTW, I NEVER saw my 16 y/o granddaughter in ANY shirt I gave her (and I gave her about 7 of them)! So, I guess it wasn't cool (even tho' she is a bit goth).

Yeah, 16 that makes sense, my oldest is 11, so that is still "characterable" I made up that word by the way, lol.

My nephew plays on his school's team, the Devils. Last time we went as a family we wore "Devils" shirts we bought from the school. This time I wanted us to be Disney Devils so this is what we wore.

It's easier than it looks.
I used freeware called Andrea Mosaic, I think, to create it.
I uploaded all the pictures and gave the program parameters such as how big the pictures should be and how many times a picture can be repeated or flipped. It does the rest. I did several creations before getting one I liked well enough.
Than we took it to a sign shop and had it printed because we wanted a very large size. (20 x 24 or larger, I can't remember.)
We did three copies and framed them. One for us and this was our Christmas present to the other two families we went with (MIL and SIL.)
Here's one my sister did for us a few years back. Hers is actually more impressive because she used a larger picture size and she hand drew the Mickey mosaic pattern.

PM me with your email address and I'll email you the file in the proper alignment to print front to back. It's Pat's design, but it seems like many people couldn't line it up perfectly. Once you print it on heavy paper, trim the pages. Put clear contact paper on the front and back cover pages. Assemble the book in order and staple through the middle.
Forgive me if it takes a couple days to send the file, I don't check messages everyday.

Wow!!! These are really impressive!
I noticed that on some shirts it looks like a transparent iron-on sheet was used for some darker shirts.
Who makes them and where do you get those?
TIA

I think you're just seeing good trimming around the designs and/or colored backgrounds on the designs that are very close to the shirt color. You CAN use transparent iron-on's on dark shirts but the shirt color will of course show through on all the parts that are supposed to be white, and they won't look very vibrant.

OK, thanks, I'll keep looking. I know I saw it somewhere. Maybe I'll make a new post asking if anyone else remembers. Have a great trip!
I used your picture in my post looking for the design - I hope you don't mind. Thanks.

Here are shirts I made for our group of ten last year. (4 kids, 6 adults)

No, that Epcot design is one of Pat's old designs. She is no longer designing but I believe there is still a link to her thread in one of the top sticky's.
Her screen name is patnl34.
I hope this helps!

Here are our shirts. We used the light transfers and the color of the shirts did show through. We don't mind though, actually think it adds to the look of the shirt. We're going to embellish the Star Wars design with puffy glow in the dark paint because they already had glow in the dark stuff on the front. We were torn between dark and light transfers because we were not sure how to trim the edges on some of our things that had white backgrounds and we were using light colored shirts. Anyway, we're definitely not professionals, and they're for our enjoyment and I will enjoy them. Thanks to all the designers. I don't remember where I got them all, but I know the Star Wars lego Disign came from Amy, and the MouseEar family was from Leonsmom. Thanks again:flower3: .

Here's a few items I've done lately. The water bottle DISign is by Telynn, the apron DISign is by ms.pinkpixie, and the popcorn wrapper is by bababear_50.
The sewing kit label is something I made with a label and a Mickey head from a hole punch, LOL. The candles are different ones I made using stick-on rhinestones from Michael's.

How did you do this shirt? Did you cut out all the little pieces and iron them all separately? It looks GREAT and I have a few images that are similar and would love for my shirts to come out like yours.

Hi Jenna,
Great shirts.. I have a couple of questions please..
1) the black shirt with the pink minnie head/crown.. What type of iron on transfer did you use? I am new to this t-shirt making and I've read instructions; but I'm just making sure.. I have almost the same design as yours and want to also put it on a black shirt.. I like how you can "see through" your crown where you are suppose to see through it, you know what I mean? Did you cut out any spaces or was it the transfer you used that allowed that? Please let me know.
2) I saw the "Do you Dis" design you have....Do you have the original ear design without the wording?
3) What do you use to "bling" your shirts?
Thanks so much.. You are very creative with your shirts.. I am inspired :) Have a great vacation!

I think if you use the light tshirt transfer sheets it shows the t-shirt fabric through.

Aw thank you so much!!!
I used the dark avery tshirt transfers they were awesome! I'd used them again!!
I was worried about the white showing up so I cut as close as I could but like on the crown I just filled those spots in with black paint! So I used the fill tool on paint and printed it like that! You can't tell at all!! Its cool!
No I don't have the disingn without the text! Someone else made it...
Also I just bought the rhinestones at hobby lobby and hotglued them on! Haha if they fall off oh well..I'm bringing my glue gun and extra stones with me!
Hopefully I answered your questions! Let me know

Just thought I'd post a pic of each of my shirts that me and my mom worked on today. It was our first time at doing this and we had a blast. These are just2 of the many disigns i've chosen, but wanted to go ahead and post..
This is the shirt that all 6 of us(Me,dh,2dd,mom,dad) are going to wear on embarkation day:
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m100/scarlett233/IMG_0076.jpg
and this is the one that me, my mom, and my 2 dd's will wear, probably on day 2 or so:

I have been looking at everyones designs and they are just beautiful and have inspired me to try this.
We have a large party going in Dec 09 (28 and counting) and this would be a great surprize. Now I have to get sizes without letting all know (this should be fun).
Jenna your shirts are amazing they "POP"
what software do you use?
do you take request?
I've read that some do a vinegar rinse to set the color, does this really work?
GREAT work to all and all hints are welcome
Thanks

Sorry it took me so long to respond...I lost the thread.
I used Amy~mickey's WONDERFUL dark transfers:worship: , then cut them everything out...the names weren't hard, b/c a lot of the letters are already joined. The centres of stuff I used an exact-o knife, quite easily. Then I laid out the pieces, put the tissue paper over top, and ironed. I was absolutely thrilled with how they came out!
Personally, I don't care for using the light transfers on dark colour....I really notice the "shininess" where the t-shirt colour comes through the rest of the transfer sheet...jmho.:confused3

About adding "bling"....Aline's glues have one especially for adding bling to fabric....I believe it's called "Jewel It". I found mine at both Michael's and at Walmart. My shirts with crowns have bling added....doesn't show up well in the photo, but looks awesome IRL!

your shirts look wonderful. Can you you share the one with the monorail? That fits my husband, because when we were planning our wedding back in 1995 we rode the monorail quite a bit. he doesn't know spanish, but learned the phrase from the monorail. Up to this day, whenever we go, he rattles it off. Thanks.

I would love to have the Tow Mater t-shirt that says "She loves me for my body." (on page 2 of this thread) I think a PP said it was from Amy. The one Amy designer I've found has non-disney items only. Does anyone know of another designer who has this? Or does Amy have her old Disney items out there anywhere. Thanks for helping a rookie.

How was your trip? Any trip reports? How did your shirts turn out? I'd love to see pictures.. Also, I had a question with the fonts of some of your shirts, specifically, the pink Minnie head and the black head with the red bow.. Did you write your name yourself or did you use one of the creative "Disigners"? Thanks.. Hope you had fun.

It is because she used a light transfer sheet on a white shirt. Light transfers apply a clear background when the background of the disign is white. Especially on a white shirt.:goodvibes

OK I have a ? The pressed pennie money holders...are the wrappers laminated. They look glossy.
Thanks
No, they are not laminated...but close. I have some clear tape, I think it is packing tape, that is about six inches wide. It is actually wider than the tubes are long. I just used it sort of like you would contact paper. I think this tape actually looks better than the contact paper. I was very pleased with how they turned out. One of my DDs is using one for her snack money.

believe it or not it is simple, you just print it on t-shirt transfer paper then iron it on. there is more to it than that but that is the basic idea! Don't be afraid to try it is overwhelming at first but once you do a couple you'll get the hang of it. Have fun experimenting!!!!

This just shows how many amazing disigners we have here. It is also giving me ideas of how to use the disigns. I hope everyone has wonderful trips and that the disigners enjoy a relaxing Easter this weekend.

I still have a couple of shirts to make, but I thought I would go ahead and post what I have done so far. The zebra mickey head is actually a bandana that we cut and used wunder-under on.
Thanks to the very creative DISigners for the patterns.

Can someone please tell me who did the lil sis and big sis designs on the first page? They are written inside a mickey head and then the person made a bow and sewed it on.
Also, do you know who made the princess one on the pink jacket in post #156?
Thank you so much!

The Big Sis and Lil Sis are Kari's (rumblytumbly) - she is no longer designing but you can save them from her photobucket.

The bow is part of the design - not a real bow.
The one on the pink jacket is one of my former Disney designs. I cannot make changes to it but you can save it from here. It is in post #65

I just got home late Sunday night and read your post. Have you found the designs by now?
The '09 shirt is on of KellyBell's. It is at http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a110/Kellybell_/?start=all
I put a red border around the design to make it easier to cut out.
I'm sorry to say that I cannot remember who I got the tye-dye design from. If you are still looking for it, let me know and I will dig a little deeper. My daughter painted the white paint around the edge of the transfer to make it stand out a little more.
I will say that we got many compliments on our shirts. Several CM's even commented that they were cuter than the ones you can buy.

I love the Mommy & daddy ones that are individual letters with Mickey & minnie inside
and the one that is dory (finding Nemo) that says "what do you mean....going home"
And one other DUMB question....don't these have to be flipped? :confused3

First I want to thank all the DISsigners, you are all so generous to us by making these great graphics for us to use to make our trips even more Magical:worship:
Here's one I made for my friend's DD (got the shirt from WalMart & sewed 2 rows of eyelet lace on the bottom to make it a little more "princess" feel to it)
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d106/DisneyFan20/Disney%202009/DSCF8420.jpg
Here are some of the one's I made for my trip in Oct. Front: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d106/DisneyFan20/Disney%202009/DSCF8425.jpg Back: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d106/DisneyFan20/Disney%202009/DSCF8426.jpg
this one is for DSS for the trip http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d106/DisneyFan20/Disney%202009/DSCF8433.jpg
If I remember correctly these are all donatalie's designs ( I personalized the "blanks" ~ I hope that was Ok? )
Can't wait to make some more & I am going to do some pencil cases & activity books for DD & DSS so once they are done I'll post those as well.

Just a question about your blue shirt from Wal-Mart, did you have any problems with the iron on because of the gathering at the collar of the shirt? I was looking at these today at Wal-Mart and didn't know if it would good to use for the iron on or if that gathering cause it to lay funny.
