Just a question about your blue shirt from Wal-Mart, did you have any problems with the iron on because of the gathering at the collar of the shirt? I was looking at these today at Wal-Mart and didn't know if it would good to use for the iron on or if that gathering cause it to lay funny.

I didn't have any problems with it. I ironed it first, then layed the transfer a few inches below the collar. I also move my transfer around a lot before I use the iron on it to find a placement I like. HTH.:)

I realized I never posted our Disneyland (and Southern California) shirts in this thread. Our trip was in October 2008. I did post them somewhere before our trip along with credit to the designers.

These were all blue, but DH's was a more washed out grey/blue (not pinkish like it looks in the picture! :laughing:) Mine and DH's shirts just had the picture in the upper left corner of our shirts, while the boys had theirs across the whole front.

Thanks for the comments! I used dark transfers for the Minnie/Mommy shirt as well as the Goofy shirt.

I still have a couple of shirts to make, but I thought I would go ahead and post what I have done so far. The zebra mickey head is actually a bandana that we cut and used wunder-under on.

Thanks! We had fun making them. I used two different transfers. I started out using the Avery brand dark t-shirt transfers and ended up using some cheap transfers from Hobby Lobby. Now that the shirts have been washed several times, the Avery transfers are falling apart. Those shirts look awful now. The cheaper transfers I got at Hobby Lobby (with a coupon) still look pretty decent.

I don't know. They were Wilton and knew ahead of time they wouldn't last from my previous trip's experience. That's why I get the tshirts at the lowest price possible and use a 50% coupon on the transfers. That's why I also decided that for this trip I would only do one day of matching shirts. I'm very glad we did! But you're better off asking the DISigners which are the best transfers and how to avoid losing them in the wash. You'll be fine in the rain or on wet rides or sweating in the sun! LOL

It is so much fun - and you get so many compliments when you are there - everyone stopped to look at our shirts! It did take a while - the hardest thing for me was choosing what I wanted to use. So many talented people have made so many wonderful things it is almost impossible to narrow it down!
