We booked our trip a few months ago and we needed a handicapped room for DS. DH made the arrangements but I always call Special Services to make all the plans (Bed rails, ask for room near main bldg, late check out, make sure our ressies are linked with Db abd DSIL etc). I know some of these things you can do right a the hotel but I have always called. I called Special Services today an pushed #1 like I always have and the CM was very very cranky. She said that I needed to call the hotel direct and they would take care of everything. I replied that I have always called Special Services and could she please explain what I could do through her. We book special rooms was her response? Ummmm I am confused. Ok I replied but could you check to make sure our room is listed as Handicap access? No, you need to call hotel directly CLICK!!! What the....I have never had a cranky CM. Ok so I call back and get a great young man who helps me with everything. He put little notes on our ressie about room, location, makes sure our Grand Gathering says Handicapped Guest on it etc....I understand we all have our cranky days but she was very very mean and nasty!!!! I am so glad I called right back.

That is sad!:sad2: We've had some who were not as knowledgable as they should be, but never like anything like that! I can't believe she actually hung up on you! Glad you finally got the help you needed!

Yes, I've had them both ways. some that go out of their way - call me back later if it's taking too long, etc. Others who are having a bad day - one even went so far as to suggest that it was too bad that Disney couldn't accommodate in the less expensive lodgings, guess I'd just have to pay more - but if you call back immediately you usually get someone really great and it keeps you from having a bad day. Sorry you were treated disrepectfully. Glad you called back!
