After some two dozen trips to Walt Disney World, I'm considering a trip to Disneyland for later this summer. There are two possible train routes I could take, both terminate in Los Angeles Union Station where I could catch a Surfliner to Anaheim. My question is, would it be easier, faster, or cheaper to get off in Fullerton, Ontario, or Pomona rather than going all the way to L.A.? What transportation options are available to/from these stations (Taxi only; how much?). Or, should I just plan on the Anaheim station (is it in walking distance of Disneyland-area hotels?).
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi DC7800! The Anaheim train station is basically in the parking lot for Angels stadium, and is definitely not within walking distance of Disneyland. It is a SHORT cab ride away, though, and would certainly be the closest option. I'm not sure of the cab cost but it couldn't be too much, it's probably a 10-minute ride maximum. :)

The fullerton station is your best bet, if it's cheaper than going to LA and going to Anaheim. It's just up Harbor from Disneyland, and if you're going to take a taxi anyway from the anaheim station, then it's probably cheaper just to get off at fullerton and take a taxi to disneyland.
See if you can find the stations on a map such as mapquest or something. Fullerton station is at corner of between harbor and lemon just south of commonwealth (that's the name of the street).
The anaheim station is off of katella, just east of state college. Disneyland is between katella and ball, on harbor.
Let me know if you need more info.
