I think I may need a new cricut, how sad is that? The roller on my little cricut doesn't always upload the mat. The roller spins but the plastic pieces on each side are worn.

Has anyone else had that problem? My cricut is about a year and a half old, I know it's out of warranty. I'll call them and see what cricut has to say, but I think I may need to buy a new one. Whoa is me. {as I put the back of my hand to my forehead) ;) :rotfl2:

My Big one doesn't like to load its mats completely. One side will grab more than the other. Thanks for reminding me to call before it is out of warrenty.

Let us know what they say.

I've often heard of them still upholding the warranty even if you're out of it. Call early in the morning when they first open and you'll probably have a shorter wait time. E-mail isn't very reliable.

Hope you have some success!

Mine does that too! And it's only a month old. I either have to force it (hold the mat in hand, push it in, after hitting the Load button) or turn the mat 180 degrees. Sometimes the latter works, sometimes not. I don't like forcing it because it throws the measurement off on the paper by a little.

Good to hear my machine isn't alone. But bad that this is a common issue.

If you call, let us know what they say.

I just tried calling and was on hold for over 16 minutes. Starting to get cauliflower ear so I hung up.

25 minutes the one day to complain about my mats. Good thing for speaker phone. I was able to DIS while waiting. :thumbsup2

I'll call after I collect my eldest. Wouldn't do to be on hold and then have to hang up to walk down to the bus stop.

You guys are not going to believe this, I can barely believe it! Cricut is going to replace my machine!!! They are sending me a new one tomorrow, then I will need to send my old one back. They did ask for a credit card to ensure I will send the defective one back.

This goes to show it is good to fill out and send in warranty cards for electronic equipment.

Wow great news for you!! Now I have a quesiton, I have read on here many wonderful things of the circut and I even glanced at them in the store. But, my question is what exactly is it? My assumption is that it is a type of dye cut machine that can enlargen the shape or shrink the shape prior to cutting it out. Assuming that you have the mats for it. Am I correct?

That is exactly what the cricut is. The mat holds the paper while the cut is being made.

GBShorts, you are right!
