I was just curious to hear all the really neat and cool things to do at Seuss Landing, I am a huge Seuss fan and would love to hear all the neat and fun things to do and also would love to see pictures of everything. Also I was just looking through the picture day thread, is Green Eggs and Ham really closed?? That is just really sad if it is true. Hope to hear lots. Thanks.:goodvibes

If you're a Suess fan, be on the lookout for lots of character sightings. We had our pictures taken last weekend with the Grinch, Things 1 & 2, and the yellow guy - can't remember who he is, is he the Lorax?
The funny thing about the Grinch is that he wasn't the Jim Carrey movie version that we've seen during Christmas, he was more like the original book version.

It is a great area, but they all are in IOA. As you might imagine, this area is more or less tooled for kids, it has a great restaurant called the Circus McGurkuss Cafe, that looks like a big circus tent, with cool suess circus characters up at the top. Its kind of a fast food hamburger joint that's a cool place for suess fans to take their kids to eat.
There are several rides, all tooled for kids, but are great for adults if you're really into it. There is a tram coaster thing that is very slow that kind of goes around a little bit of the area, has suess themed characters, really cute. This is a great one to take pics because of the views.
There is a carasuessel (merry-go-round) thing with suess characters that you ride. There is also another sit down ride, I think its the Cat in the Hat ride, drawing a blank, that's real cute, kind of a slow semi-dark ride.
There is also a one fish two fish red fish blue fish ride that is a circular ride where you ride fishes, for little ones as well.
The area is themed exceptionally well as you can see by the photos, and you feel like you have stepped into a Dr. Suess book, they did a top notch job on that area, but all the areas are great too with their respective themes. You won't want to come back.;) to your house that is, you'll want to move in to IOA.

My kindergarten kids would love to see pictures of me with Seuss characters. How silly would I look to be standing in line for pictures? I also thought of taking in a ride or two but would probably feel even sillier doing that with a husband who would be thinking," She really HAS lost her mind ":confused3

Not silly at all. Plenty of adults with no kids take pictures with the characters and ride the rides. In fact, the characters seem to "act" alot more with adults. They do the fun stuff with the kids, but they seem to enjoy the grownups too. :goodvibes

That's Sneech Beach and the old track of the trolley ride before they opened it to riders. The beach is basically just show but I thought it was cute.

Just think of how much your students will get a kick out of seeing you with Grinch or hearing how you rode through The Cat in the Hat book. :goodvibes
Most people in the parks do silly things that they wouldn't do other places. My last day at MK I wore a lighted flashing princess crown. Would I ever dream of doing that anywhere else? NO. Acting a bit like a kid is completely normal in the parks, even if you don't have a kid with you.

These are all so awesome!!!! I am excited to visit Seuss Landing, but it won't be happening until next year at some point, ugh!!! I just love Seuss, well right after Disney, but Seuss has a special place in my heart, I just for sure wish that Green Eggs and Ham would open back up, does anyone know the story with that?? Also if that place stays closed, can you get that anywhere else?? Like the green eggs and ham sandwhices, etc?? Also does anyone have any pictures, I know it seems like a weird request, its a Disney thing I think. Dining reviews.:)
Also are both Universal Parks getting The Simpsons ride??
Do not feel bad about being a grown adult and standing in line for the characters, I do it all the time!!! One of the great joys about visiting places like that.:goodvibes

Also, keep in mind that Universal/IOA has a lot of great themed areas. Jurassic Park for one, is just awesome too. You really feel like you've landed in the movie or on that island. And the Lost Continent which has been my personal favorite, is proabably the coolest part of a theme park anywhere IMO. And you will see that when you walk out of Suess Landing, its next and not to be missed (although that area is being renovated right now with Harry Potter).
Marvel Super Hero Island is also cool, and I even love the Port of Entry area when you walk into IOA, the lighthouse and other cool buildings is so cool. The music adds a lot too, each area has its own theme music and it really adds to the feeling you're there in a fantasy environment. You'll love the themeing.

Thanks. I think I've met the guy who rode in that show with whoever it is in that video.
What a nice place to ride!
Ok. Apologies for the thread hijacking!
I love Suess Landing too. We always go find the Grinch. We've seen two different ones and they were both fantastic. Truly Grinchy both in appearance and attitude. And man are they fast with the one liners.
My buddy walked in to the meet and greet place (has long sideburns), Grinch does a double take on him and exclaims, "Hey look at the chops on that guy! he's fuzzier than me!" Of course he said it in the way only the Grinch can so it came out like an insult. It was hilarious. We were all laughing about it all day.
As soon as he yelled that, his DD 9 ran and hid behind the photographer's legs. "I can see you there, what do you think you're doing!" He belted out. "and you're hair is horrible!" (She has beautiful long blonde hair) She was not happy with the Grinch at all that day, but she knew he was just being himself.
You have to check out the details in Suessland. Look for the Lorax's house and don't miss all of the wild Suessy characters on the merry go round.
Wish I was going back soon.
