I have just noticed on my booking that I have only 45 minutes to make a connecting flight home at Atlanta.

Does this sound strange to anyone? Or will this be okay.

i would have thought that would be incredibly tight.. even if the plane was in on time...
but im not an expert..

If it's with Delta they have a minimum connection time of 90 minutes for international travelers and bumped us off an 80 minute connection onto the next flight 5 hours later :sad2:

Who ever the carrier is 45 minutes is too tight, I'd speak to them and ask to be put on a later connection.

A few years ago Expedia tried changing our booking to a 45 min connection they rang me to tell me if the airline were offering it then I should take it as they would get me on the next if we didn't make it. I looked at the airlines schedule and saw there was availabilty on one with 2 hours 30 mins, Expedia were very awkward about it but I got them to change in the end.
I have done about 10 connections in US, there are too many factors to go wrong to accept 45 mins. Late departure from UK, Lng Immigration lines etc. 90 mins is really least you should accept, many prefer 2 hours.
Last Oct on way to Vegas we did it in 1 hour and that was a rush, glad our 2nd leg was delayed 30 mins.

That should give you plenty of time.

Would agree when hubbing into the US but on the way home the 45 minutes should be sufficient.

The difference is Immigration.

45 mins. should be no problems going home, but to be honest, I would be happier with two hours anyway. You get a chance to stretch your legs, grab a coffee and chill out.

Enjoy :cool1:
