Good going you guys very good you pass.
BOYLE’S LAW:
The volume of a gas is inversely proportional to the absolute pressure, that if the pressure was increased, the volume must decrease proportionately and vice versa. This is if the temperature remains constant.
Dalton’s Law:
The total pressure exerted by a mixture of gases is equal to the sum of the pressures of each of the different gases making up the mixture - each gas acting as if it alone were present and occupied the total volume.
In essence each gas within a gas mixture acts independently of the others.
HENRY’S LAW:
The amount of gas that will dissolve into a liquid at any given temperature is directly proportional to the partial pressure of that gas.
Pressure and temperature are the two factors that affect gas solubility in liquids.
CHARLES’ LAW:
If the temperature of a gas rises and volume stays constant the pressure will increase. If temperature rises and pressure stays constant, volume increases.
Sadly we now just teach the principles, old day we had to really know these puppies.

Wow. Came over to check the thread. What a wonderful combination.....pole dancing and science class.
Celeste.....you can still do the pole dance on the 5 night cruise. It could be on deck 9, at the adult pool. Would be a great warm up for the Buffett tribute night.
Scott, I think you missed your calling. You should have been a High School science teacher. Ah, you would be a good one. Molding young minds and all.
Peter, good luck on the new job. Just don't be doing too many hours in a week. Don't want to see wrinkles in that pretty face.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Mike, no big deal here this weekend.
But next one should be wonderful. Weather will finally be normal.
Three days off from work. I think the grill will get a workout.
Sauages and Mickeyburgers I think. Maybe a little corn on the cob.
What do ya think?
Sounds great Bob. Maybe a big bowl or pot of baked beans and homemade potato salad. Top it off with some cherry pie with ice cream:banana: Mike

Long week and I even took today off 16 hours Wednesday and 17 hours yesterday, and there is no end in sight. I need a vacation. Oh well 2 years 10 months. LO
In Denver right now waiting for our flights to SLC then SNA and then DL….. Yeah…. Dreading the crowds at DL. So I am setting my what we can do expectations low. Will be great to see some fellow cruisers.

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you! Thank you for your offers of prayers, pixie dust and support. Thank you for your virtual greetings, mail greetings and in person visits. Thank you for your phone calls to let me know you care. And thank you for your condolences by discussion forum, email, phone or by mail. It has meant so much to me!
You can never have too many friends and I have been blessed with so many of you!
Today my mom would have been 66 years old. Today also would have marked 45 years that she and my dad were married. They are together today. My mom was an amazing woman. I always knew it, but what really meant so much to me was when her friends would tell me how proud she was of me and my sister and when she would say great things about us to Debbie and I. I would simply reply back "How do you think we got this way?".
Tonight we are getting together with family (some of whom I am planning to surprise at Christmas with a trip on this cruise) to celebrate. Mom would have wanted it this way. I hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!!

Kids It is Africa Hot here at DL, spent ost of yesterday with Kay, Susie, and Linda’s Crew . We were really surprised that the crowds seemed less than we expected. Maybe the heat has kept folks away.
We had dinere with Kelly, Ann, Karen etc….It is great to see past cruisers.
I really liked the fireworks here at DL.
We are hoping that the mornings stay cool.
Today will be a rest day.
Wish I had signed up for the 5k, the course loks really Kewl. Next year….

Mike the belated celebrations sounds like a plan,
Pretty darn excited this morning, so here I am waiting for the coffee shop to open.
It has benn fantastic to see one and all again, making plans for future trips, enjoying DL etc etc etc…..
All the DVC people have no Idea about the CA DVC property. Seems they have briefed the bell hops and security folks about it LOL…..Looks like we will be getting more points in about a year or so.
I wish the race would start sooner as it will be rather warm, incentive to finish early.
Well best of luck to fellow racers, coffee shop is opening.
Race results to follow, unless Ken posts some live results.
Lynn is still sleeping,
Have a great day Kiddies……

(Happy Labour Day for our Canadian friends)
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Been great here. Will be a bit warmer today and the next couple of days. Will get out soon to enjoy the day.
Yesterday, we went to my Grandson Payton and the family. Played football catch with him. He is all excited about playing football this year. Today, I am feeling it. Bad ankle, bad knee. Old age. No 1/2 marathons for me for a while. :rotfl2: :sad2:
Speaking of which....congratulations Scott on the 1/2 at DL. Must have been great just participating. Looking forward to your time. I'm sure that you did well. Lynn too.
Also, I am a fan of the comic strip, "For Better or For Worse" by Lynn Johnston. It is always fun to read. Got a real chuckle out of Friday's edition (http://www.fborfw.com/strip_fix/archives/002675.php). She mentioned Butter Tarts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butter_tart)and I immediately thought of Margaret, Elaine's mom. Never knew such things existed until they were mentioned on the boards. Never had one until Margaret sent some to the 11 night cruise for Joe (DPD's husband), Scott and me to enjoy. Yummy. Thanks again.

BOB totally KEWL avatar, might have to steal that one from ya. YUMMY BUTTERTARTS!!!! sounds kinda like a Python thing.....
WE DID IT!!!!!! Along with about 13000 folks LOL
IT WAS HOT HOT HOT!!!!!!! Red flag day. I must have leaked 400 gallons of sweat. I did see three (3) people go down during the race. And several after they finished. I would guess all heat related.
We learned a lot about how to dress, prep etc.
Oh Times, Lynn was in at 3:29:00 and I did it in 2:51:04. In looking at the final results I was about the middle of my age group and we are both happy with our results.
The Disney folks did a great job and a letter will follow with compliments.
After the race we cleaned up and went to CA and rode CA Screaming, it was still pretty hot as the thermometer on the elevator said 110, later we learned the temp had gotten up to 105, official temp that is. Went for lunch at Rain Forrest, and then hit the pool, Then back to DL for the evening to drift around and catch short lines for attractions. There is the new Honda robot at Inoventions that we will try to catch today. Crowds still light.
So yesterday it was “please keep you hand and arm inside the vehicle at all times and hang on to those finishing medals”
More later,
Mickey&JoshNut

Good Morning all, Hope you all have a great weekend. Later this morn, we are off to the farmers Mkt, to get some stuff, bread and fruit, then a 5K run for the local schools, then a Geo Cache meet. We have never done a geo cache event so that should be interesting.
Weather looks like it will be great today.
Scott H
09-22-2007, 04:50 PM
Had a great day, Farmers Mkt for some nice pastries veggies and fruit, saved for later, 5K race, I got a PB (personal best) at 32 min flat, felt good about that, Lynn did great also, she is starting run a little more with her walking. Funny how one’s perspective changes, after the ½ at DL, we looked at the distance and said it’s only 5 K. Not a problem.
The Geo Cache event was rather fun. Drove to most of the locations in the event, I would have rather have walked or ran to them, met some nice folks. Weather could not have been better, sunny and warm, supposed to chill off tomorrow and into the week.
We will be grilling some Italian Sausages for dinner tonight, with peppers and onions. Tomorrow I will make homemade breakfast burritos for breakfast. I might just have a glass wine tonight.
Replay of Jimmy Buffett’s Sept 5th concert on Radio Margaritaville.

We went to the zoo as we are members of the Denver Zoo and it was KEWL!!! New baby Zebra, 4 days old. Looking forward to Christmas there, as we hear they do special lights and ice carvings for the season.
Did a 7 mile run yesterday, getting ready for the TOT 13K.
Ken have a great ride, hope your weather is good.
Time for stuff around the house today. Might make meatloaf, or chili, or veggie soup, or maybe a couple of things, guess “ two outta three ain’t bad” (get it Meatloaf) LOL sorry kinda early.

Hello from the Disney Wonder!! No new show as we will be having Hercules tonight (that's ok, I  Herc!).
The big news on our sailing is that Al Weiss is having his yearly retreat for presidents on the ship this year. They usually go to 5 star resorts. I've seen quite a few familiar faces too. Ian from London, Hollywood, I mean Clayton!! They are tons of cast members on board too.
Have not met a single DISer and it feels strange!
So far we have not had a good cabin steward. I hope that changes today. We had dirty towels in our room when we arrived, have not gotten our Castaway Club gift yet, NO ICE BUCKET! and a couple weird things that I won't mention here. I hope today is better with him.
We'll be in Nassau this morning. :woohoo:

Date:10/28
Time: 5:00 PM till ???
Place: The red Telephone booth at Great Britain, (not inside, because I don’t think we would all fit, but it would make a good college prank thingie, wait it has already been done, never mind) :hippie:
What’s Up: A gastronomic dining walk around World Showcase sampling the fare of the different kiosks which represent the finest from the various boards of fare from their homelands.
Credit cards or your key to the world card works well to pay with. (it worked in the past)
See ya there. :thumbsup2 :cool1: party: :welcome: :drinking1

I was going to get out of work early today but that did not happen. 54 hours in 4 days, I need a vacation, but have to take office cell and be ready for all or two.
We leave Cheyenne tomorrow morn for Denver and then to MCO early Sat morn. YEAH!!!!!!
I want to get in a five mile run tomorrow morn before I get boarding passes on line.
Will hit the Denver Zoo and who knows what else.
Time for last minute packing….
Will have my wireless card to keep in touch, KEWL!!!!!

Yeah We Made It, At OKW, long day yesterday, Travel, grocery shopping, then met up with Linda , Kay, Ashley and Karen m and their son Gary.
Grocery shopping is draining, don’t know why but it is. Then we are on the 3ed floor room, so it took a few trips to get all the stuff upstairs.. Good work out for sure
It seem like trips to WDW and DL are becoming family reunions , this is KEWL!!!!
Will activate out AP’s this morning at MK. Going to MK first is a tradition.
Shuttle launch tuesday KEWL!!!!

Glad to hear that you made it to WDW safely......enjoy MK and the rest of your trip.
I know what you mean about trips to WDW being family reunions....we just had our second annual Panama Canal Table 9 reunion and it was so KEWL to see everyone again.
We also had fun at breakfast with Leslie and Janis & Ron and Cheryl & Bob. IT makes going to WDW even that much more "magical" when you get to see your Disney family.
Have fun at the TOT 13 K.....will be thinking of you guys.
Have a great time at the world Lynn and Scott.
Elaine hope that you and the family are doing well. Mike

Hey Scott!
It's plenty warm out here in Smoky California! Of course, if you were out here you'd have to be careful to avoid the 350,000 fleeing neighbors!
Fortunately, Alicia and I had our fire a few months back when there was NO wind - so a lot of the combustible material near by has been consumed.
Hope everyone is doing well - I just glanced up and down this page and all seems rosy here!

It is HOT!!!!! Here.
Found a way to make a weight vest for running, simply wear a cotton shirt for your morning run, it will be soaked with 2000 pounds of sweat in about 50 yards.
My 3.5 miles this morn were the fastest ever for me, scary.
MNSSHP last night was fun, very heavy rain about 11:30ish, we were in the HM and came out to a down pour of Biblical Proportions, glad we had our bumbershoots.
One Nephew and BIL arrive tomorrow with a band group. So we will be at AK Thursday, MGM Friday, and MK in the morn on Sat, before the golf event.
See some of ya soon,

We returned from WDW on Saturday after a great trip with Rob and Amber. We went to the Food and Wine Festival, Party for the Senses and Sweet Sunday and all were wonderful. We also went to the Halloween party and that was lots of fun and laughs - fireworks were awesome that night - weather was perfect every day but very hot.
I met with a girl from GAGWTA (breast cancer thread) and also met Dan Murphy who has been on the boards for some time. It was so nice to meet someone I've chatted with for some time.
It is back to routine again this week - Wouldn't it be great to live in Celebration and to be close to the magic every day?

Well Kids the TOT 13 K is in the Bag and a BIG CONGRADULATIONS TO OUR VERY OWN ANNA!!!!!!! She placed first in her class, way to go a great inspiration…..
Lynn and I were happy with our times.
Pictures to follow. Hey Peter where was it you said to store those pics at?????
It was a fun Race, kinda crowded afterwards but we did stay and do TOT, got home to OKW at about 2:00 AM. Had to ride TOT at least once. Some things with the race could have been better but that is for another time/letter /survey.
Been having a good time seeing my Nephew and BIL and playing tour guide.
What is really KEWL is seeing old friends and making new ones, A trip to WDW/ DL / or DCL is like old home week. Really blessed to have met so many great folks here.
Not sure which park we will go to today, but see some of ya at EPCOT tonight.

Mike - that is terrible! And your debit to boot! I hope your bank takes proper care of you and reverses the charge. I had my AmEx stolen (at a client site no less) but they figured it out before I did, called me and took care of the entire mess! Even gave me another card.
Hope everyone is well and gearing up for fall/winter. We have had some heavy frost but no snow as yet. Our boys are fine (oldest got engaged this past weekend) but David could use some good thoughts. He is having back problems and needs a cage put in - we see the surgeon on Friday.

Good Morning Kids,
Very Busy at work the last couple of weeks and I need to go into my office today, hope to get an extra day or two off next week.
We got the Christmas lights up on the house yesterday, used a bunch of duck tape to secure the lights from the high winds we get here. The house looks good, if I do say so myself. Today we will get the lawn lights and stuff up. Inside decorations will wait till next week.
Normally we put up the outside decorations over Thanksgiving weekend, but we are expecting rain and snow. Would rather put them up when the weather is a little warmer.
Had a muscle pull/strain that has really hampered my training. Giving it another day to repair and then have to start slowly back to. Lynn has been keeping up with her walking the pups, except on windy days.
Hope one and all have a great weekend and a great turkey day.

That is - fun for all except for the "Big Bird"
Hey Scott!!,
I've been scanning the various Black Friday ads online - and Alicia is beginning to look over the print ads... and unfortunately there does not seem to be many fun things to torture ourselves over. It seems the only thing of interest she's found is at Walgrens'... a pocket sized 1.5" photo viewer for $10. Muted Woo- Hoos! So, having seen the in store ads - I began purchasing goodies online this morning. Just a few - one for the PC Secret Mickey (hope it gets here in time to wrap and reship) and now I've got my eye on a couple of other minor things. Not that there's much I've coveting - except maybe that Bentley Azure... or maybe that Pastrami Sandwich from Johnnys' Pastrami in Santa Monica. Not that I'll get the convertible or sandwhich anytime soon. Both of which Alicia told me flatly "no".
So - our turkey is planned for supper tonite. Leaving us to relax a bit for now. We plan on going to the Zoo tomorrow as it's free - and today someone mentioned an arboreum to run through the leaves and such. For now though.... the kids are running around my BILs' house here in Boston ... raising a ruckus.
edited in... it seems Alicia is drawing up a hand written shopping list of some sort. I love this girl! She's gotme driving her in the wee morning hours as my BIL is gonna watch the kids for a couple of hours in the early morning. I get to deal with the Boston drivers and Alicia is spared the burdon of parking - as I'll drop her off and drive off to a place to stop and wait for her to finish. I'll have my MP3 player and take in a book on CD (Stephen Hawken or Edgar Rice Burroughs) or ??? So - we should be done quick - and then we all head on over to the hospital to escort the new baby with Mom home! And - as previously mentioned - the zoo might get mixed into the schedule somewhere. But it's sooooo cold here in Boston for us whimpy Californians!

We did not get much snow from the big winter storm that went thru over the weekend, just some freezing rain on Sat morning. Today is warm but very windy, making it difficult to get my long walk in that was scheduled for today. Will try to get the dogs out for a short walk before the winds increase to 30 mph gusting to 70 mph. Right now they are at 15-20mph.

Talked to Kevin and Cindy last week, they were driving through. They were at WDW last part of Oct and we all missed them. Told Cindy to get back here and keep up with what is happening, where people are going etc.... LOL
Hi all, been busy at work, as it seems we are on the road at least a couple of days each week. I hope to retire in 1.5 years, earlier than first planned but this pace is getting to me.
Working on finishing the basement, and making good progress, should have it almost framed in this weekend. We are concentrating our efforts on the bathroom. Bar theme with be of the Adventures Club motif, (gotta have a place to display our clap trap before my Museum opens) bathroom will be OKW style.
We are under a winter storm warning/watch, meaning the roads are really slick and ice covered, travel is no fun, 4-6 “ of snow on the ground…. Typical Wyoming winter stuff, as they are calling for freezing ice on top of it all.
We scored plenty of building supplies so have more than enough to keep us busy inside. The pups do get boarded so will try and get them for a short walk or two, maybe wrestle in the snow.
Since the Tower of Terror race I have had an issue with my hip/groin, getting slowly better, would like it to be faster. Have the WDW ½ marathon in a few weeks. Lynn’s training is going well.
Still need to get the Christmas cards out. Lynn did a great job getting the Christmas packages together and we got those shipped yesterday.
Try to stay warm Scott.

Yeah it’s almost Christmas.
I have three days of Vacation leave that I have to use or loose so I am going to use it this week, so a mini vacation. Hope to get lots of work done on the basement. Have to pick up the cabinets fro the bath today. Frame a wall or two, run some electrical, vent work, etc etc etc ….
We had a little storm blow through yesterday, dropped a little snow and is brining cold temps. So to those of you east of us it is heading your way. Our Christmas will be white for sure.
We will most likely head to Denver tomorrow to go to the Denver Zoo and see the Christmas lights. Have never been but is sounds KEWL….
Be safe and stay warm, never mind the last part if ya live in FL or SOCAL.
Hope that all of our friends have a very Merry Christmas. Mike and Kathy

Santa is now in Lihue, Hawaii according to NORAD (12:30AM)!
He's evidently been through the Los Angeles area already. I dare not go out into the living room yet - as I'm not sure if I was considered naughty or nice in the last year...
In any case... Christmas has arrived on the West Coast -
and I can now offer warm holiday wishes to all who are gathered 'round here...

Well...
... for a select few bottom fishers (like me) I regret to declare that WOOT had a $1 Random GRAB BAG OF C-A-R-P last nite at 10:01PM (or AM?) California time. I missed it - and apparently it sold out in THREE MINUTES. Some folks seem to have obtained THREE orders of 3! RATS! I imagine we could have gotten blue tooth headsets, MP3 players or other things of similar or lesser value for a dollar which failed to sell out on a normal basis on their site! You think they'd GRAB BAG sell any $1500 LCD projectors? Oh well... maybe next time, eh?
.... yeah, with a 3 minute sell out window it's FAT CHANCE!

I don't know what gives on these. They;re not working for me now - and I have the master key. They were working initially though. I posted these in response to another DIS neighbor asking about my Twice charmed pictures.
I suspect there might be a bandwidth limit on these keys that might have been exceeded IF a lot of DIS folks were downloading the album.
Sorry about that folks.

Hi All looks like we have all been busy with the Holidays, as there has been decreased activity here. I hope all enjoyed the days and reflected on the joys we have been blessed with.
Looking forward to the New Year, because as far as I can figure it has not been lived in yet, and I am ready to fill the 2008 Bank of Memories.
Our weather has been pretty nasty with lots of wind and blowing snow, several roads are closed as I type.
We had a great Christmas, and got lots done on the basement project. All the major framing is done, a good portion of the electrical is roughed in, and the project I was dreading, cutting into the concrete floor to find a drain pipe for the bar area. Got lucky and found it right away. That was a pretty messy project.
Training for the ½ was diminished with the weather and a trip to the doc for a routine exam and stuff, for us old guys. All is well just really pooped me out for a good day.
Well back to the salt mines tomorrow.
I want to wish you all a great New Year filled with adventures and dreams fulfilled.

Good Morning One and All! :wave2:
Great night last night. Late morning today.:goodvibes
Broke the new year in right. Took a little dip on the deck. http://members.aol.com/robertj85/hts.gif
Not too cold and just a bit of snow.
.....
Time to watch the Rose Parade this morning. Kick back day.
......
Rose parade. Saw it in person a few years back. Kinda ruined it for me since.
Will just do something else until the games come on.
Back to work tomorrow.
Everyone have a great day and a wonderful week.
Hope that all had a great holiday. Mike

Good look to all of those in the 1/2 and full marathon.
That would be a cool thing to do. Maybe next year for me.
Bad training habits prevented me from doing it this year.
Well as many of you know Jenn & the other girls from Work, Including Dr. Kevin Mooney, who is the Boss.
Have taken on the 1/2 marathon.
This started out as Fun for the Bunch of them :yay:
Jenn, has made sure that each and every person has a DVC room to stay in!
@ the Boardwalk!
Along the way it has turned into a way for them to raise Money for Boys & Girls Club of Woburn, Ma. (http://www.positive-place.org/)
The Girls at the office have, posted on the big board @ the office asking for there support!
Well, they have raised over $2500.00 :woohoo: for the Cause!
Each Girl recieves donations from there Patients !
Hence, a little contest has emerged!
Who can raise the most!
This is where you come in!
They know, that Jenn is the Disney Queen! :lmao: Yes, Everything Disney!
(she has helped more people in that office plan trips or Save money on a Disney trip!) :rotfl2:
They, also know of her Wacky Friends on the DIS, I think that the fact that Jenn will see about 50 to 100 other Disers (That she knows, im sure she will meet others!) during her walk is Great!
The other Girls will be like who is that, and Jenn will explain, oh Just a Friend I have Cruised with (insert amount of times here) or Met at The World!
The Dis is a very powerful Thing! :wizard:
ok, If Jenn knew, I was doing this, she would Kill me! :scared1:
Anyone who would like to help Jenn, help the Boys & Girls, may do so by
sending a check to the address below!
Lets help Jenn, win this little thing!

It would be grand for Jenn to have a bunch of envelope to open upon her Return! or even before she goes!
Opening mail is one of her favorite Things!
