Well Diane just walked in and I asked her if anyone called last night. She gave me the "Oops, that's right Squid called and I think you are suppose to call him back".
She's 20 and missing her brain, scares me that in 2 years she'll be a school teacher :scared1:

Am deffinately interested in VISITING anything that they build at DL. It's been close to thirty years since I've been there so I wanna go BACK.
Then these are for you. Taken during my trip in June:

Cindy, Karen has just informed me that if Cameron EVER gets the desire to take that poster down then she asks that he remembers his Michigan pal. Course if it just happens to burst into flames after one of the frogs eats out stragecic parts as to leave it unrecognizable, then oh well.
Frogs in Michigan eat posters do they :confused3 :confused3

You go all the way down by the game pavillion. Right past it is a shack that says Stingray Ray's. You sign in there, get your gear, and then the classroom is right behind the shack.

Does anyone know if the DIS Board SEARCH function is working properly???
I've been trying to get it to work, and can't. Even the advanced search flips you back up to the main search.
I know, due to large file sizes a search causes a LOT of strain on the servers, but I wish they would remove them if they aren't working properly.
Any thoughts? THANKS!

It's a world of laughter
- A world of tears
It's a world of hopes
- And a world of fears
There's so much that we share
- That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world
There is just one moon
- And one golden sun
And a smile means
- Friendship to every one
Though the mountains divide
- And the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world
Anything to use that song again??? You are set on annoying us, arent you?

Nope, you don't need to bring towels, there are plenty. They hand them to you when you get off the ship in Castaway Cay.
Pirate night, it's really up to you. If you want to dress up, go for it!! Not everyone will dress up at all. Heck, I think that it's a DIS thing, more than a DCL thing.
[/i]
You may bring a bottle of wine, but I would not put it in your suitcase. The luggage handlers are not much different than airline handlers. Make sure that you bring it in your carry-on bag, to avoid a broken wine bottle all over your clothes.
[/i]
I know that you can get them at WDW, not sure if they have them on the ship (they probably do). And yes, you can turn them into Guest Services to be signed on the first day, and then you get them back on the last night.
[/i]
You can get the copy of Mary's DIS navigator on her website (link to it is on the bottom of all her posts). She'll also give you a hard copy at the DIS meet either on Saturday at the Beach Club if you'll be there, or onboard on Sunday at 3pm.

Bad can't really happen in scrapbooking. Its like art, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you like what you have done, that's all that matters. Everyone has a different level of experience. Just because I have been at it a long time, doesn't mean my books are any better than someone who is new. I don't go for the super busy layouts anymore, I just want to get my pics and journaling in while it is somewhat fresh in my mind, with a few embellishments. I have gone to color blocking on the last couple of books I have done and find it much easier and quicker. Scrapbooks are for keeping our pics and memories safe, not stressing over!

I know you all are going to have a great time. I'm not working today and HAVE to finally get rid of all the Disney bags. Of course, since I got Gail's LARGE bag of stuff mailed to her it has made a big dent in what I have left. :rotfl:
Carol
Do we get to see you guys over that weekend???? We dont leave until Monday the 30th

No chance Cindy!!! I have to say that with the recent chattiness, I'm going to probably have to kinda drop off because I just can't keep up (and I'm a stay-at-home mom).
I love that people have decided to try to reach that big milestone, but quite frankly, I can't read pages and pages in just a couple hours of being gone. Good luck with the milestone and could someone let me know if any plans change or any big DIS news happens.
Love you guys...See you in a little over a week!!!
It really does frighten me when we essentially post the same exact thing! We must really be sisters! :rotfl:

I was about to post a reply to your other thread, but in the effort to keep up, I didn't right away. I found the same thing out yesterday when I was looking for one of Mary's Tip of the Days and I ended up spending WAY too much time on it and still didn't find it. :sad2:
So Mary--is there a whole list you have of tip of the days? I'm specifically looking for the label on the luggage tag one, I forgot what info I need to put on my labels. I did this last year and loved it!!
Diana are you talking about the luggage tags that you put on your bags when leaving the ship? If so I can tell you what I do. I brought address labels and just stuck them on the luggage tag. I then had to write my cabin # on them. If I have time I might just print up new labels with my cabin # along with my name and address on them. Sure beats using cruise time filling out those tags.

Diana - yes I have them saved in a word document. I meant to put it up on the website. I'll try and do that tonight.

Yea, the cute colored tags they give you on the last night that I stole a bunch of for scrapbooking purposes. I knew name and address, I wasn't sure about what else--but cabin number was probably it. I remembers 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3....like I'm gonna have 3 bags! :rotfl2: I need to make 10 of them and leave the last number blank and fill in the grand total.
I have a real question. Where do you meet for the stingray thing? We have it scheduled for 1pm. The girls are going to be so excited.

Wow. This is like MAJOR overhaul!!
Will there be some "before and after" pictures???
AFTER the cruise, of course!I have some pics from the beginning of this project. You could really see progress during the framing stage, but once they put up the wood/brick it's been less exciting to watch than a pot of water boiling.
This was just after they poured the foundation for the new section of garage.

All this took place in June. The framers worked so fast they got about a month ahead of schedule. :) Everything else on the other hand has been dragging and now they're about a month or more behind schedule. :(
I gave paint color choices to the painter today. I'm still nervous that I didn't pick the "right" color for my scrapbooking room though.

From what dd told me this morning on the phone, I left just in time - sounds like white stuff is falling from the sky again. Only white stuff I like to see falling from the sky is..... Disney snow!

It would be neat if they'd start selling to DVC members on the cruise. I'm not sure that we're in the financial shape right now to buy, but that would be a hard one to pass up, since AKL was designed by the same guy that did VWL and it's the ONLY place we have points. DD's and I stayed at AKL a few years ago, and I have to say it's my favorite resort next to VWL.
I like to visit AKL, I LOVE the themeing and also the restaurants but I'm the only one in my family that does, I guess their tastes aren't as adventurous. But I wouldn't want to stay there..too far off the beaten path. I love the proximity of BCV to Downtown Disney, EPCOT and MGM and the Boardwalk at night. Only MK and AK are a bit of a distance. I don't think I'd like it the other way around.

I feel like I'm cutting into a private conversation
I have a question that I'm pretty sure has been discussed before, but I wasn't paying much attention at the time not thinking it applied to me. But now that I've convinced myself to purchase APs for this year, my plans have changed slightly.
What are the parking rules at the Beach Club Villas for DVC members not staying at the resort. We're not staying at a WDW resort pre-cruise and plan on attending the DIS meet at the Beach Club on Saturday. Now that we'll have APs, we'll also spend some time in the World Showcase, since it's so close. It would be so much easier to park at the Beach Club than the main EPCOT parking lot.
You can always get at least a few hours out of them if you say your going to the restaurant.

I couldn't have said it any better.
I enjoy doing it and love all the different forms of it. I agree that it is an art form and everyone has their own tastes and likes and dislikes.
Plus a CJ is a nice way to start because it's usually smaller books/pages ans your are already given a theme in which to help do your layout.
Did you all read the reports on the DVC forum that they announced there will be DVC Villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge? Pretty cool. We won't be buying points there but would be willing to try it at some point just like we've tried almost all the other DVC locations.

In all seriousness, Tina, I wouldn't call it annoying, rather I would say it's overwhelming!! Like I said earlier (and NO, I can't seem to stay away), I just can't keep up with hundreds of posts a day. We're getting down to just 1 week from the cruise. This is the time that people are going to be starting to ask some serious cruise questions, and give people advice for packing, traveling, etc. This is the time that we all should be having fun posting to get ready for the cruise. And, I know that you're having fun replying (along with a few others), and I know that we joked about the milestones, but some of us just don't have hours to wade through all of the posts!!
Please don't take it as an attack, rather as a request, to have fun, but let's not go crazy with 50 posts a day (or whatever it is).

- And a world of fears
There's so much that we share
- That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world
There is just one moon
- And one golden sun
And a smile means
- Friendship to every one
Though the mountains divide
- And the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world
NOW Curt, BEHAVE! Sheesh!

What do they look like?
I bought these in August even though I don't have any more room on my walls, I made some. They have Walt quotes on them. I get teary just reading them and smile whenever I pass them. Are these the ones? OK, so I'm not a photographer, but you get the idea!

And I think I'm missing some posts but I'm trying to make sense of it all.
Diana,
Yes those are the posters! I WANT them! But alas I have no wall space :-( So I need to get them as 8.10 or postcards. I want to do a collage with like three openings for the postcards.

My fear with all the posting that has gone on in the last couple of days is that real questions are going to get lost in the shuffle of all the fluff. It isn't any one posters fault, rather the group getting caught up in the excitement of the cruise itself.
I partially blame myself for listing previous threads and what their post counts were. That isn't fair. Mainly because those threads were around for a lot longer period of time than this thread.
Plus it doesn't matter if we end up with 100 more posts, or a 1000 more posts between now and cruise time. What matters is that everyone can enjoy the thread and anyone who wants a question asked can ask it and get some answers.
Many times in the past I've gotten pm's from people who think the thread is too chatty (and I'm talking months ago when I got the first one). This thread is all about being chatty and getting to know each other. At the same time I would hate to see it get to a point where regulars want to stop reading and posting. If that is happening we can only begin to guess what the not so regulars are thinking.
So while I don't want to end the celebrations and I don't want the posting to stop. I, personally, would like to see it slow down to a regular pace where everyone can be a part of it and everyone can keep up.
Just my 2 cents.

Ok, here I am being Switzerland again!!!
Tina, you're not doing anything wrong at all!! And, it is supposed to be all in fun!! But, several have mentioned in the past couple of days that the amount of posts are overwhelming (me included, and you know that I'm a chatter, that's for sure). I'm not saying that you shouldn't reply to people and have fun, but some replies in the past couple of days from several people have been just a smilie or a one word reply. And, when we multiply that by the number of posts and the number of people making them, it makes for hundreds of posts.
I know that last year, we had a lot of people stop into the thread in the last few days asking questions, and I'd hate for them to not find the answers to their questions.
So, keep on posting, but let's ALL try not to reach 30,000 posts by the cruise. :rotfl2:
Just wanted to share some of the Magic that Jeff and his lovely Mom shared with us. Monday or Tuesday this week Matt and I received SEVERAL packages at home and were busy opening them up. One was interesting as we had no idea who it was from... as we opened the box I gasped... it was a TMX ELMO!!!!!!
I wanted to wait to share until I knew who had been so gracious to send us one and now I can - so THANKS JEFF AND JEFF's MOM! - we're blessed and cannot wait to send her a thank you note with the check!
:sad1: Those are happy tears!! That was extremely nice of Jeff & his Mom to do. That's just awesome!!!! :jumping1:

I think somehow with all the excitement we got carried away. Sometimes I'll be off in the afternoon and there will be a few pages. I also am wondering about people who ask questions getting lost., overall we should try to have fun but reminds ourselves that there are others reading who may not be able to catch up.

I owe all of you an apology...I got wrapped up in excitement and didnt realize how much I have been posting...its not to boost my post count, it was just in fun...I dont really have any excuse, I guess its excitement, insomnia, and speed reading. I read 2-3 times faster than the average person, and sometimes it to my advantage, but this time its not. So I am saying I'm sorry for the excessive posting, and I will try to keep it down!
I received a PM this afternoon from someone who clearly wanted to hide thir identity(the name was opened today), stating that I am posting too much, and they know I was challenged but its getting to be annoying, and I should stop. Well, I wasnt sure what to do, Keep it to me, or share it with all of you, and see if this person is right! Am I being annoying?
Tina, I haven't been able to catch up from when I started this morning until it looks like now. I spend a lot of time here and haven't had a problem keeping up until now. I know there have been several challenges made the last couple of days --- to increase post counts, to reach a maximum on the thread. The bottom line is that we should all be having a lot of fun. I'm sure there are days where I overpost as well (really, I know, hard to believe isn't it?!? :worried: ). I guess the bottom line is that you have to do what you feel is best. Right now, with it being so close to the cruise, everyone is excited and everyone is trying to fit the most into the time we have left. I know that given a choice, what we have to do in order to sail will come before posting on the thread.
I'm out of here for the night -- it's my TV night and I hope I can catch up with the rest of what's been posted in the morning.

Cheryl, I think you have said it really well. We're all really excited and I've gotten caught up in it too.
I said my peace before, but it's been really hard leaving for the gym in the morning, coming home in a couple of hours and having 10 pages to read.
Another thing that I just want to mention because I'm a high poster and feel like I'm being scrutinized by the number next to my name. I've been posting on this thread since the day I got home from SSMC05 13 months ago, so my 1700 posts have been over a whole year. That averages out to less than 4 posts a day.
I think I was the one who said this last year but it applies now too---Let's move along, nothing to see here! We're going on a cruise next week!! Let's get ready to party!! party:

Whew, I am caught up. Being a 1st time cruiser, I feel I have to read all the posts. There might just be that one MOST IMPORTANT tip that I might miss if I do not read them all . I have a word doc that I copy the tips I think I will most use. I will say it is all fun and DH keeps asking me what are you going to do once we are on the cruise? You are going to be going through DTs not having the laptop at your side. HA HA HA...
This thread has been great and I am looking forward to the next (last) 8 days of reading and contributing. I would hate for some of my "new friends" to stop posting because of the crazyness of today. You have all been so helpful in my quest to make this a great trip for my family. I cannot wait to meet each of you in person.
Tonight is my TV night as well... I will check in and see what s up. Have a great evening everyone. I am glad that everyone seems to have received all of our packages from DVC... Now is the time to put all of our planning to work..

Months ago I had to quit checking the thread because I couldn't keep up with all the posts everyday, especially since I was active on another thread (the 11 night cruise in September). I would periodically check in and scan to see if I missed anything (which I did), but that's my own fault. Now that the other cruise is done, I have been checking daily and trying to get involved.
One thing that has really helped on other threads I've been on is Peter (Hygiene99) has been on our cruise and he has been gracious enough to have on page 1 of the particular thread a summary of all the important info. This has really been helpful, so when someone new came in or asked what was going on the reponse was Page 1, post 5.
If they announce the next DVC cruise on board, maybe one of the regulars who post daily would be willing to do this for the next DVC cruise. I know it is really helpful!
That's my nickel's worth (inflation, you know!)

Opps! Guess it wasn't a joke. It has been hard to keep up but I just whiz by the short replys so it wasn't a bother to me. What is hard for me is to find the post where I left off. If I get an email with a link it's supposed to start where I left off but I find sometimes it seems to skip a few pages and then I miss some posts. Like I missed Diana's post about my posters and I missed Barb's reply about being neighbors but I caught them as quotes in other's posts. A little annoying but don't know how to solve it.

My family doesn't like it much either. I don't know what it is about the decor, but I don't think we would buy there. If I were to add on any time soon, I guess I would try for a few more points at BWV. I have a small contract there, as well as my main one at SSR.

Hi everyone. I have been pretty busy in the last week and a half and I see the thread has as well.
Tina, You did nothing wrong and don't feel that you did, whoever sent her that PM (if they were on this thread) - that was pretty low. :sad2: The thread being so big has kept me away for some of the time. I have been busy with family visit, then work, then sports last weekend and this week I had to prepare for a medical procedure so I haven't been able to keep up. If anyone is upset about the questions getting lost in this thread, why don't the people asking questions go to the DVC board and post their questions like LIFERBABE did on the link to this cruise thread. It's obvious she doesn't want to get to involved in our thread which is both about day-to-day activities of the people on it and things having to do with the cruise. That may solve some of these problems. And this wasn't meant to be a knock on LIFERBABE but more of a way to go. Same with those who frequent this thread, I have really enjoyed getting to know you all thru the Internet and look forward to the meets and time on the ship together. :disrocks:
Getting back to my medical procedure, I had a colonoscopy done today and the results were very good: One polyp and some internal hemorhoids (sp?). My mom had colon cancer about 6 years ago (she's been cancer free five years now :woohoo: ) and I have had trouble with my bowels for some time so I thought I would get it over with before the cruise but I'm fine now. Thanks for asking about me! :thumbsup2
About the Elmo: After reading on the thread here about them I went looking here in Lakeland for them that night but came up empty. I told my mom about it on the phone that night and what a hard time they were to get. Well, she found one the next day when she happened to be in Costco and they were just putting them out. They were limited to one per person otherwise she would have bought a few. I am still looking for more so if anyone else wants one and I find one I'll PM you like I did with Julie. Also, I'm one of the nuts that goes out on Thanksgiving Friday so if I see one then I'll pick it up. Diana, you're next. Anyone else looking for one?
For those I have missed:
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Welcome!!!
Congratulations!!!

Also I read and post in other places and message boards, and we have the biggest group of member cruisers here.
Thank you again Mark and Mary, I appreciate your efforts!
You're welcome!
The main reason we do it at a website instead of in the thread is simple, flexibility. The board is reasonably so for just plain text, but you start adding charts, graphics, yadda yadda yadda.... a lot of that simply can't really be done here with any real formatting.
I guess I should philosophise some more but I'll just ask you to read this instead: My thoughts on the meets (http://monorailgreen.info/thoughts/thoughts.htm)

I'm thinking I just may have to sit out for a few days to get everything I need to do done and just catch up with you guys in chat on Friday and Sunday nights. After all, there's only a week left, how much can I really miss?

That was really cool. See it is a good thing to have internet friends! Glad you were able to get your TMX Elmo.

I went and checked my caller id and yep, there's a call from you about 8 PM (7 your time). There's no message on my answering machine so that can only mean that either you left a message with Diane or the Dog. I believe it probably was Diane since the Dog would have passed a message on.
We did talk to one of the girls. She remembered Coleen but not SQUID :confused3 :confused3 What up with THAT???

I read 2-3 times faster than the average person, and sometimes it to my advantage, but this time its not.
I just got a Nintendo DS and they have these brain exercises to do each day. One of them is reading. You have to read aloud and at the end it tells you your speed. Like 5.7 sylables (sp) a second. Not sure if that's fast or not.

:thumbsup2

I will behave I promise :guilty:

:surfweb: We are having a real live lake effect snow storm here!!!!! Some school closings have already been announced and my kids have not had a snow day in two years. This is early October and the weather man says this is a record. It is real heavy snow and we are not to go out of house due to downed power lines and tree limbs in the streets. We may have 6 inches by the morning. I hate cold and snow and this early really stinks.
Now, leaving in a week for the cruise is making this bearable. I might try to catch up on all the posts if we are home bound tomorrow due to the storm. That is, if the cable stays on! :surfweb:

Answering and commenting all in one post....find your name on the list. :) You may be there more than once!
Squid (can't remember your first name....is it Steve?)...anyway...thought of you today. Saw a new Hooters is opening on the west side of Columbus. It opens on the 16th!
Cindy....not a cat person, huh? After two failed puppy attempts we figured we sure as heck aren't dog ppl!!!
Linda....do you know if you can rent occasionally? We've never done it, but we've talked about it occasionally. Is it just the mega-renters they are cracking down on?
Mary....nice Mickey ears... can't believe the price...and what's with "as seen in Seventeen magazine???" MUST we promote $1200 pieces of jewlery to teens?
Tina...diet coke and amaretto? hmmmm.....i might have to try that. amaretto sours are my favorite mixed drinks. :)
All of you...I know I've been gone since 1:20, but my goodness, everytime I get to a new page, the page count goes one higher. I still have no idea what page this ends at and I'm afraid to look for fear of losing my place (or my mind!!!)
Squid again.....you said ":stir: :stir: :rolleyes1:rolleyes1".....good point!
Amy, I'm a stay at home mom too....But...answer me this....if I'm a stay at home mom, why was I gone today from 1:20 until 9:00??? :lmao:
Gail and everyone.....BE CAREFUL printing out labels with your cabin number on them....in case they upgrade you. Happened to us once. Of course, if you're in the Walt or Roy, it's a given! :lmao:
Robin...WOW. That's major construction! It is amazing how fast (or how slow) they can go.
Tina....you are NOT being annoying. Sounds like someone is being a party pooper. Hmmm.....I wonder....forward the PM to me. Because Mike writes Mouse Matters, he does have access to some DIS features. I can download the message and run it through the DIS identifier program. It will spew out an IP address and match it up with the other 90,000 usernames on the DIS. I'll have a match for you shortly. ;) There, that should make whoever wrote it sweat a little, eh?
Mary.....hope my making these answers ONE post instead of several will help slow down the post count. Be careful....I remember saying the same thing you just said when ppl were trying to get 1000 posts a day on the double scoop thread. Quite possibly that's when I was labeled "ohiomeanie" and that didn't sit well with me. :(
Amy....but if the posts are only a smile or a one word reply they are very very easy to scroll by quickly. I know I can scroll through a whole page in less than a minute or two by skimming and looking for key words.....like "ohiominnie" :)
Julie....glad you got your Elmo. Tickle away!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2: (what an appropriate smilie)
MARK AND MARY ROCK! :) I never want to cruise without them again!!! (insert evil stalker music here)
ampen the excitement of the fact that we're ALL (ok, except for Karen) cruising in just a few, short days!!!
Thanks for remembering to leave me out!!!! :lmao:
Oh, I'll be cruising alright....I'll be doing about 72mph back and forth to Columbus every day while you're gone!
Gail....you have BRAIN AGE??? That's pretty cool, isn't it??? I have the lowest brain age of everyone in my family (that doesn't sound good does it??? but it is!!)
Stacy....maybe not serial killers, but what about serial ticklers??? :lmao: :lmao:
Whew....looks like I caught up.....I did READ everyone's post....just didn't comment on every single little thing. :)

Or, you can ship things ahead of time for things that you might only use on the cruise. We've already shipped a box to the BCV. But at this point I think I'll just invest in a larger suitcase. I was checking them out at Macy's today and found a really nice/neat one that has a built in scale so you'll know before you hit the airport if your over weight limit or not. I can't remember the brand, but if it's part of the sale that starts tomorrow I'll probably get it. (The salesman suggested I wait one more day if I could since most of the department will be on sale. Some pieces are even going to be 50% off plus an additional 15% off. Let me know what the name is if you go back and get it. I'm always sweating it out with the weight limit on my bags and we need another bigger sized suitcase.
Last year with all our SSMC05 booty, we were overweight on our one bag. Our porter decided to distract the ticket guy at the counter so he didn't see the weight on the scale and the guy got a fat tip from us for doing do!

I received my glicee on Tuesday. I am excited about AKL but disappointed about CRV being shelved.
Congratulations to the Tigers and their fans on a thorough domination of the Yankees. They really surprised me with how dominant they were. Now, they are doing that to the A's. GO TIGERS!!! :thumbsup2
Who hasn't got booed yet? 2 people from this thread booed me so that means I have 4 to send out. :hmghost:
If I don't respond tonight that means I am watching Survivor and clearing room on my Tivo for next week's WDW/Cruise trip.
Curt, How did I do with the smilies :) today?
You rock! What a nice thing to do getting the Elmo for Julie.
Glad everything worked out well with your colonoscopy. I used to have bowel issues. After my DH had one, his Dr said if he could change one thing for everyone having bowel problems he would have everyone take fiber pills every day. He takes 2 everyday. I have found taking 1 to 1 1/2 every day keeps everything "smooth sailing"! I don't know if you Dr recommended this to you, but if it helps anyone, it is worth it.
OK - I guess I have now given all of you too much information! I think I will need to stay hidden from everyone on the cruise....have fun.

I'm still back on page 1520-something. It's been a very hectic day at the office and I just shut down my work laptop. Too wired to go to bed so I thought I'd stop in for a few (posts - not :drinking1 ) :lmao:
Hope everyone who will be on the road this weekend heading to FL has a safe trip.

And I'm in FITS about being on vacation when they're in the World Series!!!http://bestsmileys.com/fainting/1.gif I mean - who knew? No one could have even dreamed in December that they would have a shot at the Fall Classic this year. I've already warned my Dad that he's on VCR duty for the entire Series. I feel like a bad fan right now... <sigh> http://bestsmileys.com/sad/8.gif

THE GREAT PIRATE GROUP PHOTO!
If you would like to take part in the Great Pirate Group Photo, here are the details:
1. On Pirate Night, meet in the atrium in front of Tritons at 7:50 p.m. SHARP!
2. Everyone will get in their place for picture.
3. At 7:55 p.m., a Disney Character in pirate attire (in the past we have had Pirate Mickey, Minnie; another time Capt. Hook and Mr. Smee; and another time Captain Mickey alone) will come to front and center for our photo opportunity.
4. At 7:55 p.m., Shutters Photographer will shoot about 6-10 pictures from one deck above (on deck 4 between elevators) telling everyone to look up and smile!
5. At approximately 10 p.m. that evening, there will be numerous copies of the photo in Shutters, 8 x 10 in size for purchase.
That's what will happen for the pirate photo. If you would like to participate, we will see you in the atrium at 7:50 p.m.

Maybe? More like definitely. They can pull stations outside the 'ABC family' of Disney Stations. They usually don't, but for playoffs/championship games they typically even run a party in the sports bar, Diversions.

Good point. Look at all the attraction songs we've been "singing" around here.
I've been listening to me Disney 50th anniversary cd every day for the past few months while driving to/from work or our drives to Philadelphia. Yo Ho! Yo Ho! I pirate's life for me!

Because it's LOADED with commercials. Thank goodness for my Tivo. Now that we are caught up with all of the past Lost episodes, it's hard to wait a week for more!! I agree! Someone needs to tell ABC to cut out some of the commercials. If I wasn't so busy trying to catch up on posts while watching Lost and sending instant messages maybe I could keep track of the number of minutes spent on commercials! Nah! I'd rather read posts, send instant messages, watch :happytv: and . . . . oh yeah . . . . talk to Tom so that he doesn't think I'm ignoring him! :rotfl2:

Not "THE Others" :lmao: :lmao: I think you are watching too much LOST! Or could it be you are on the DIS too much? Nah! What was I thinking! There is never enough time to be on the DIS! I really need to find a few more hours each day!
At least I shouldn't have withdrawals while on the cruise. Especially since you'll all be there with me! Well, except for one or two people who will be posting away trying to take over first place. :lmao: You know who you are! Don't try and deny it! Blaming football season on your reason for not cruising with us! Yeah! We know! We know! :rotfl:

I finally caught up after falling behind yesterday. But what do you expect when there are over 500 posts in one day to read. So now it's almost 2am and I have a busy day tomorrow, starting with a music class with Ian. Then it's off to find some larger suitcases and major packing. Looks like I won't be cooking anymore before we leave because BIL is in town so we're going out to dinner with him, and whoever cooks the night before leaving town.
Oh, a quick update on our construction. The garage was painted today, but all the stuff that was in it was left outside. :confused3 (David and I were at the musicals so had no clue this would happen until we got home.) Tomorrow (since I haven't slept yet ;)) the furniture in the den and dining room is being moved out to the garage. Monday the process of replacing the hardwoods downstairs begins - not really comfortable with this being done while we're gone but I have a few people planning to check up here periodically for us. Oh, and I think I've finally picked out colors for the new rooms upstairs.
Wow! You've got a busy schedule. You'll have to share your color schemes with us!

On bringing wine...
I've brought wine in my suitcase. Put it in a cardboard tube from Michaels so it wouldn't break... had no problem
Konc Kooler from the DCL website...
Konk Kooler
Ingredients
1/2 ounce dark rum
3/4 ounce light rum
1 ounce passion fruit juice
1 pina colada mix
1 ounce orange juice
Directions
1. Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
2. Serve in a tall glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a wedge of tropical fruit.
Ewww! No konk koolers for me! I got so sick from drinking rum when I was in college! I can't even stand the smell of it. It was all that rum's fault! It had nothing to do with me :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 151 rum!
That's why you'll never hear me say so why is all the rum gone because all of you (and Tom) can have it all! I'll drink my kool-aid or find another non-rum drink to :drinking1 while :sail: !

They reported snow at O'Hare airport over night. May get some more this afternoon but nothing that will stick as we are supposed to be in the 40's.
One week from today we begin our drive down!
I heard that on GMA this morning and thought of you! I hope you have good enough weather by next week so that you'll have an enjoyable drive to FL.

I forgot to post a Thank You to all the bus riders. As it turns out the price I was quoted wasn't the price we were charged. We ended up paying a fuel surcharge. Understandable with current gas prices. Orlando Buses and Tours was still the least expensive transfer I was quoted even with the unexpected gas surcharge. I did want to Thank Everyone because we had enough money for the bus, surcharge and tip! I can't wait!

Did you all read the reports on the DVC forum that they announced there will be DVC Villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge? Pretty cool. We won't be buying points there but would be willing to try it at some point just like we've tried almost all the other DVC locations.
I'm having a hard enough time keeping up with this thread - never mind the DVC forum! I'll just rely on nice folks like yourself to fill me in on the important stuff going on at WDW, DVC, etc. :lmao:

I haven't read that yet, but it sounds pretty cool. I've liked our stays at AKL even though it's so far away. I don't expect we will buy points there either, but we will try it.
Did you see the post about DCL has a charter in Oct 21, 07. Think it could be another DVC cruise??? That would be great except I don't think my boss will let me take vacation in October again due to the fact that the following year's budget has to be submitted, reviewed, revised and resubmitted in October. Of course, if we were told about the next cruise while on this one . . . and we are able to make reservations for it while on board . . . maybe I can get away with going again!

Cindy - you can keep all the snow in your "neck of the woods". I don't want to see any of that or even think about it until next month! Give me that FL :sunny: any day! What's that commercial - a bad day in Florida beats a good day anywhere else? I totally agree!

Hmm! It sure would be nice to do a small add on since there aren't going to be a lot of rooms there initially. I don't think we can afford to add on any more right now. Then again, maybe DVC will have another sweet deal like they did last year on SSMC05.

Thats the only way to keep up, if I worked as much as I posted I would only have to be here 2 days a week! This is my busiest time of the year. Well now until the budget is finalized and then again at year end since we have to close one budget year and open the next. Any way, I'm lucky I can keep up with the work emails I receive each day while in the office. There is no way that I could post here too. Maybe during a slow time or a quick stop to read a thread or two but other than that I can't do it at work. That's why it's after midnight and I've still got over 20 pages to get through! :surfweb:

Sandy - I'll send you a pm too but I'm staying at BCV before the cruise. If you want, you can say you are coming to visit me and then you can park at BCV. Well, this isn't a lie. You are coming to see me and many of your other DIS friends but at least this will get you on property without any problems. Annmarie

Actually, rumor has it that DVC is holding us hostage and not docking until 10:30 so we all add on points before they will let us get off the ship!
Okay everyone! Bring your wallets, purses, check books, credit cards or whatever other means you will be using for your point add-ons! There could be a long line waiting to sign people up. Get a good night's sleep and set your alarm for earlier than usual! :rotfl2:
