Hey Angie and Andy . . .
Should I get us those numbers that they pin on marathoner's backs for the CC 2k race to the hammocks? Could you just see that stairwell lobby with a bunch of us with numbers on our backs - and then picture us racing along that trail trying to beat the rudolph tram to the beach?
Priceless!
Bedtime - caught up for another day.
John1
Too FUnny. My DH will need one of those!
Can ya see that discussion? "Here hon...let me put this on your back"...."No hon....no pressure!"

...the last post I was able to read before the 3AM lockdown on the boards was that the post had gotten locked....so I figured I started a very bad thread and someone... :rolleyes1 ....had to lock it.
....so I felt very very guilty till I got up this AM...and saw that the wild Bingo thread was the one locked...not mine!!! :woohoo:

Well, if I were on the Magic could head up to Topsiders for bananas for breakfast. Wonder if they have any? Over to the main thread to see.

Oh My! I am seriously wiping tears from my face I was laughing to hard. DH from downstairs came to see if I was watching Leno. No Hon, I am reading banana posts. That was so FUNNY!!! You are all hysterical!! That was the funniest thing I have read in a long time!
Well I forced DH to stand here while I read and tried to fill in some missing gaps to him and ya know what he said....
.... "Well - you're certainly getting your money out of this cruise. Glad you're having a good time. That's what its all about."
...by the way....he did chuckle!!

We had to laugh last year. We were waiting in line at Spaceship Earth after the cruise, and we were the ONLY people in shorts. It was like 65 degrees! And it was probably going to be about 75 for the day. The Florida natives were dressed up like eskimos, and I am in a polo and shorts feeling GOOD!
They of course were looking at us like we were cuckoo.

Well,
Only 17 pages behind, I guess I should count that as a good night after last night's frenzy.
We went to a benefit concert for our school levy tonignt. It was all Billy Joel music from a band called the "Big Shot" band in our brand new theatre. You bad geeks would love this . . . They had the HS band play with the rock band on "Only the Good Die Young" 200 strong on the stage, it was really cool.
The Men's ensemble "drifters" also sang with the band on "for the longest time".
It was really fun!
John1

Interesting.

Sarah and Amanda were trying to find some sweaters and none fit very well. The one wouldn't even go on an arm?! :confused3 Sarah likened it to one of those Chinese yo-yo things. We did find some cute capri legging with skulls all over them. Now we have to find a cute black skirt for over it and a neat top! Sound good for PN?

Our last cruise was in Jan. My DH and I were swimming at CC. The people from the island and the lifeguards were wearing sweatshirts and totally bundled up.
When we got off of the ship we were wearing shorts and the locals were also bundled!!! It was funny. When we landed back in Allentown it was snowing and about 30 degress. I have written in my scrapbook that the day we were in Key West it was 78 there and 18 at home!!!!

Looks good but just keep in mind that crew members may remove it...it blocks the number (even partially) and they may see this as a fire issue; if theres a fire in the room, an alarm may go off telling them what room your in...if they forsee an issue with finding a room properly, its trouble.

I wish the military could be a little more specific on when my niece's DH is coming home from Iraq. There are military discounts for our cruise and they could get a room for about $1000. They never did get a honeymoon...

Dinner may be similar. I bought the stuff for DH to make goulash yesterday so if he decides to make that tonight then I will have to scrounge up something for myself out of the freezer. I can't stand goulash! Yuck!
If he does not make goulash then I think I will cook some pork chops. I have some hot and spicy shake n' bake to put on it and we can have a big salad with it. I will also probably open up a can of carrots for the kids. They will be thrilled. I am suprised my kids have not turned orange yet. :)

Brandi - I ended up with wine...I had to do it like shooters in the kitchen so she didn't know. Lovely.
John is on his way home and I am over being mad...and I got Samantha a great surprise I read about on the boards today. We are dining at Coral Reef for lunch on Friday. They are going to have a diver in the tank take a sign in the water that reads "Happy 4th Birthday Samantha, Love Mommy, Daddy and Haley"....I also ordered a cake! The woman I spoke with was soooo nice. and I actually made the dining reservation at the restaurant podium. I am not telling John so I think it will be great...(and if I already posted this ignore me. My wine shots are getting to me)
I had to dig around the closets for some warm clothes. Jasmine, the fairy and my half pirate costume will be cold Thurs night. My sister is BEYOND excited but her costume is supposed to arrive tomorrow. She has been tracking it. I also had to did out CJS for John and I am not quite she how the belt thingie goes but hey, he can at least do that for himself.
Well, I better get back to packing...I am going to dread opening this thread come Sunday night.
Samantha will love that sign, and the cake! How fun, can't wait to see the pics. You are a very forgiving woman to be over the in-law thing so quickly. I bet the wine helped, I am going to try that next time. My MIL is here right now but it's only noon. I guess it's 5 somewhere though, maybe I will give it a shot!

Yesterday at the store I bought two big pumpkins for carving, the stuff to make pumpkin pie and Halloween candy - including what to a 4 year old boy appears to be the coolest candy ever invented. Ladies and Gentlemen I bought gummy body part candy. :scared1: Yes if you stop by my house on Halloween you can have a gummy tongue, finger, foot, etc.. Nathan thought it was the best thing since sliced bread and was begging for a tongue this morning! :scared1:
We are going to carve the pumpkins and make the pie on Sunday and he is way too excited. I love how much fun he is on holidays! :) He also wants to make bat cookies but I am a little leary because of what happened with the last bat that came into my house! :lmao:

Hey Angie and Andy . . .
Should I get us those numbers that they pin on marathoner's backs for the CC 2k race to the hammocks? Could you just see that stairwell lobby with a bunch of us with numbers on our backs - and then picture us racing along that trail trying to beat the rudolph tram to the beach?
Priceless!
Bedtime - caught up for another day.

that sounds like a great idea. if all of us work together, I bet we can convince them to stay far, far away. More hammocks for us.
We'll just remind anyone thinking of getting off the boat that there is "that STINGRAY scare" and that the DIScrew is here to investigate and make sure its safe before the rest of the people get to the island. They may need to stay on the boat until AT LEAST noon....it may be safe then. Maybe.

Becka, What is your version of Goulash? :stir:
I make a ground meat and bean casserole type dish that my DH claims is like what he knows as goulash...
My mom never cooked anything that she called goulash so i have nothing to compare it to.
Wait a minute...when did I say that...Goulash is a soupy bean mix with ground meat and tomatos (stewed), macaroni noodles and a little spice and something else. Very good...haven't had any in a LONG time. Goulash that is.
GoofyforGoofy

No sense in running to the hamocks both days we are on CC - -
We just get all the kids together for a friendly game of bingo, and the "winners" get more than a trinket or other item of value, but get to stay all week on CC to hold the hamocks for the adults.
Are kids allowed on CC all week? We could leave some of the bananas so they won't go hungry.

You know, there are a lot of variables in that Halloween/posting element. Sure, people will be busy taking the kids around for ToT and handing out the candy corn and peeps to other kids. But every good poster should be posting photos of how adorable the kids/pumpkins/jackolanterns/haunted houses are. Then all the rest of the good posters will have to reply "Wow what a great Power Ranger/Bo Peep/Ghost/Cinderella!!!" to every single post. Really compounds the Halloween posts that way.

Good advice after today. :furious: Should've known it wouldn't be so easy to just "pick out a new laptop" like the guy said on the phone yesterday. :furious:

....I think they hoped I would change their son's ways.....and were very much dismayed when I only enhanced them.

Dinner tonight was fabulous and easy. For a working mom, these places are :thumbsup2 and compared with take out - healthier and very reasonable. We usually even have leftovers (which is rare for my hearty eating family)
I'd never heard of them before.....but they just opened a "Let's Dish" not far from us. May have to break down and actually cook something one of these days. :rolleyes1
