Brandi, DD13 switched from violin to viola in 6th grade. The middle school had only one violist at the time so the director asked for volunteers to switch. She is really glad she switched.
Her teacher just started her on a new exercise book by Schradieck. I know very little about music, but it seems like a challenging book! Good exercises to strengthen her playing, I guess.
Absolutely!!! That is great!

Dina was crying when she went to bed, something about SHE wanted to brush her teeth FIRST. Anyway, to cheer her up I talked about the Mickeyboat (always a good one :thumbsup2 ). We talked about Jake being in the club with her and William would be in with Amanda. Well that just made her cry all over agin because she wants William to be in her club too!!
Dina gets to be in the club with my Walt, too! He doesn't hit his classmates anymore...

I agree. I don't count points, I count calories but I like to get the most bang for my buck when I'm eating. Haven't had twizzlers in a loooong time.

Not us. We work together also. When you spend 24 hours a day 7 days a week with people as strongwilled and opinionated as we are, stuff happens... Although I must say, when the really really bad things happen we click like bread and jam.

I just needed to say the new Mac ads are a riot. I just saw the Conselor one.
Did you see the movie one?
They are getting better and better - and I like it that they are getting a little edgier . . .
Just got home an hour ago - went to speak to a neighborhood group about our school levy. Kind of like a Christian visiting the Colosseum, but it wasn't that bad.
Of course I have over 20 pages to catch up on!

I have only tried to curl her hair over night with gel. We are planning on picking up the girls from the club after Brunch, getting them something to eat, then go to the room to curl their hair. They will then walk around with curlers for a few hours before having their nails done & the curlers coming out. ;)

He is learning to get very frustrated. Some of the puzzles are extremely hard. I am not sure what it has to do with math. All columns have to have 1 to 9, all boxes have to have 1 to 9, all rows have to have 1 to 9. I really enjoy working the puzzles but I miss the math connection. DD had the same match teacher and was really behind when she went to the next grade. the teacher seems to do things a lot differently than any other teacher in the district.
It is not about "math" but about logic. About learning ways to problem solve and to use deductive reasoning. Logic is one of the foundations necessary to understand algebra and higher mathematics. :teacher:

I had DD's hair in rollers all night for picture day today. She was not at all happy with me this morning, but dang she looked cute. She lost her other front tooth last night so no teeth and curley red hair. I think it was worth one day of mad child.

Means it's possible. DD8's games are at 9:30 on those days, so she'd be finished about 10:30. Let me check the Sesame Place website for hours and info. I assume the water rides are closed then; what happens during their Halloween event?

Kim, what kind of curlers do you use in your DD's hair? I know that you said you would bring them for formal night but I would like to try them out on DD's hair before the cruise.
They are about 10 inches long, different widths. They use them for perms. They are soft and squishy but bend and twist so you roll the hair along the roller and twist it to keep it on. I am going to buy more tommorow, so I will post a brand and description. They are the best!

Ok, thinking caps everyone - if you were putting something (voucher for preorder dvd) away to not lose it - where would you place it? See, this is why I never do the vouchers. I also dislike mail in rebates (love Staples easy rebates though - very easy). I am the person companies love. The get to keep their money. Okay so start thinking - I'll absorb the thinking power and find that Disney Store receipt someplace.
On top of the refrigerator where I put the bills that need to be mailed in date order . . . at least that is where I found mine . . .

That's an oxymoron when you think of it in connection with putting a peep of any color in your mouth. Come on my candy corn bud and non circus peanut eater. You can't like Peeps.
I can't help myself. Something about the marshmallow and sugar sprinkles are just too hard to resist. :rolleyes1

Pj
Other then us on the thread that it, lol.
That's exactly what I said to DrHug! I spent my breaks and lunch keeping up, then checked again just before I left work, drove home, made a quick pot of mac and cheese (from a box! how long can that take??) then logged on and found 15 pages! OY and I get thru one page and two more appear! :surfweb:

Okay - really going offline for the evening, I said I was going to figire out what I was wearing tomorrow and the rest of the week. Of course what I actually did was watch Heroes on the nbc site. Heroes (http://www.nbc.com/Video/rewind/full_episodes/?show=heroes) I need someone else to watch this with me. Episode three was WILD. The last scene is a rewind and review. I also realized what the heck am I going to do Thursday. I'm not going to be out of there by the time GA is on. What do I say to my boss - excuse me gotta go watch tv? The thing is he is so awesome he'd say ok.
Okay night finally....Have a good rest of the week...don't post too much..yeah, like that will ever happen
Well Carla, I downloaded the first episode from iTunes and was watching on my iPod when Sophia was in dance. She came out early not feeling well, so I just got through 15 minutes and liked it. Maybe by the time you are back from your meetings I will have seen all episodes.
Liked it so far. More up my alley than DHW or Survivor . . .

There we go Kim, should I order TWO banana suits?
I'm sure they're cheaper than Barbossa.
What would your DH say if you dressed up like a giant banana and danced with a strange man (also dressed as a giant banana) from the internet to a Raffi song?
John1
umm well, as much as I appreciate the real joy we could bring others with this experience, and yes I realize how much laughter this means, I'd really like to stay married with custody of our child.
The really sad thing is, it would not be dancing with the strange man, it would be the banana costume, on me, adjunct professor, and PTA president.

I always save the dark red ones for last. I eat green, light red, yellow, orange, then dark red, in that order. I sometimes don't eat the light red at all (the whole artificial strawberry thing), but the dark red ones are cherry and they're my favorite. :teeth:
