We are going to be driving to DL from Idaho and have made reservations at Whiskey Pete's for 1 night to and from DL. Has anyone ever stayed here or at Buffalo Bills? The first night we stay is on Friday 11/29 and our rate is $29.95 and the second night on the way home on Thurs 12/5 is $16.95. We have seen these hotels on our way to DL before but have never stopped there. They look nice on the web site.

Also has anyone ever stopped to ride the roller coaster at Buffalo Bills. I think it's called the Desperado. Does anyone know the cost. I couldn't find it on their web site.

Thanks!

Have stayed at Buffall Bill's and Whiskey Pete's a few years ago. I think Buffalo Bill's is nicer than Whiskey Pete's, but not really much different in ways of faciltiies. Either should be nice and clean with all the basics. I have riden the coaster, I think it was $5-6 at that time and it was worth every penny! It didn't look all that amazing but it was really fast. They also had some cute rides inside.

Not much else there but for a place to stop the night you can't go wrong. They have a pool, jacuzzi, cheap restaurants, etc. Doubt they are heated during that time of the year though, not sure, only have been during the warmer seasons!

I would not recommend Buffalo Bills because my friend got a dirty room there once. Right next door to Buffalo Bill's is the Primadonna. We have stayed at the Primadonna several times and liked it a lot. I have always had a nice clean room, and if we want to ride the coaster we just walk over to Buffalo Bills.

I'm the friend Rita1965 refers too. I would not stay at Buffalo Bills again because I was made to feel inferrior for questioning their cleaning practices. You know it's bad when you come into the room for the first time and see a lot of black hair all over the bathroom floor (I'm blond). You start to question what else hasn't been clean..... I have however stayed at Whiskey Pete's and Primm Valley numerous times and liked both. Coming from Utah, this is a common stopping ground for us. You'll probably pay about $10 more for the Primma Donna but it is a classier resort. Whiskey Pete is the one with the most to do stuff however. It has numerous rides, shops, and restaurants. The Desperdao is a blast but extremely jerky. We rode it in October and paid $6, but you can buy a variety of different types of passes, i.e. single, 3, multiple rides, etc.. and it gets cheaper the more you buy.
