Are there many mosquitos out?

Does WDW Resorts spray at night?

Do you bring some kind of mosquito repellant and/or citronella candle so you don't get eatin alive?

I know this is silly  . . .but I just HATE bugs!

I didn't have this problem during our April vacations . . .I don't even remember seeing any bees and I definately did not see or get bitten by any mosquitos. . .

Any advice and/or help would be appreciated :)

I have never experienced it, but I know someone who said they had a problem on their balcony at the Dolphin, so I expect it is a problem at most hotels, though I heard they all spray, to keep the mosquito population down.

I sat on my balcony in August at the Poly day and night soaking in the view and never encountered a mosquito or any other bug.

We usually stay at the YC or BC and we certainly sit on the balcony and relax. I can't remember ever having a bad bug problem. I really can't which is strange because we all know FL is full of bugs.

Oh well - it's magic.

I do not believe they spray (at least I have never noticed them doing so) but the mosquito problem is not major. You may get a couple of bites.

out of all my 10 trips to WDW in the past 5 yrs, I am always amazed at how few bugs we see! I don't think I have ever seen a bee in WDW!!!
however, there was one trip where dh and I got eaten alive by mosquitos! this was last July at the YC! we sat outside on the rocking chairs eating an icecream cone from beaches n cream at about 10pm, the next morning we had over 20 mosquito bites each! it was the only time we ever had any encounter w/mosquitos or any insects for that matter! it was bad.

but truthfully we are always (except that once) amazed at how there are no bugs! and we travel to WDW all times of the year!

I don't recall being bit on my balconies at the resort any time of the year. It may happen at AKL, though.

Your subject line just sent a wave of peaceful and calm feelings through me. Thank you from the bottom of my thesis-writing heart. I am pretending that I didn't read the part about the mosquitos. :D
