Hi ,
Can anyone help ?
I fly on May 17th from Manchester to Orlando and had pre booked our seats.I have just gone on to do our Advance passenger info & it states the seat map is not availble & seats will be assigned on check in ! What has happened to our original seat requests ?
Is this a common problem ?
Thanks

This does happen alot! Ring them up to see whether you still have those seats, more often than not you will, but just remember the seats aren't guaranteed, they are just requests.

All it means is that the percentage of seats released for "pre-booking" (I think 60%) has all gone. The rest of the seats are released when online check-in opens.
Don't worry your original seat requests will still be there, but that is all they are - requests that are not guaranteed to be met.

I have also known it to mean that there has been a small change to the departure times.

We have pre-booked our seats for our holiday in July, but when i wanted to double check where they were i tried logging in with our flight details and it said our flight times had changed and that our details couldn't be confirmed. They are still the same, i've checked with our travel agents. We can now access our travel information on their website, so as far as i can work out there just seemed to be a problem with some aspects of the website.

we had pre requested the flights there and back, close to departure date you couldnt view the seat map because the site was saying the flight was full, on the return flight our seats had been changed when we logged in online with no option to view or change. But luckily i wasnt left with the 8 year old kid full of E numbers who likes to play vitrual football against the back of me seat hehe

When you go into your booking online, click on your name and information should 'drop down', if you see what I mean, including your seat numbers.
Our next flight from Manchester is the same, it won't let me into the seat map. But if I click on our names, our chosen seats are shown.
When I asked the question on V-Flyer, the consensus seemed to be that it won't let you into the seat map if there are no available seats for you to choose. Not sure of the validity of that because I'm sure I've had access to the seat map before even though it showed no availability.
