I need a cheap, accessible hotel/motel as close as possible to Disneyland. Did I mention cheap? Any suggestions? Teri I know you know this one. My preference would be one that we could have my husband wheel me to and from. If that won't work, then one where the shuttle is accessble. My only other criteria would be that it needs to be clean. (Did I mention cheap?)

Hmmmm.....Best Western Park Place Inn, Desert Inn and Suites, and Tropicana all come to mind. I am pretty sure they all have w/c accessible rooms and are directly across the street from teh main entrance, maybe a 5 minute walk, all freshly paved and with curb cuts. You would have to use the elevator at Carousel... it has narrow walkways that kind of tilt though, I am not so sure about that one. Depending on when you are going, sometimes they have very cheap rates on their own websites.

We've ended up booking at the Tropicana. The Tropicana and Park Place are both owned by the same people. I attended a travel show this weekend and got to speak with a representative from both properties. I actually have to laugh or cry at what passes for accessable at Park Place. They do not have roll in showers but said they could put in a bench. That would be fine but the look on the guys face when I asked if they had a shower hand held wand was priceless as he pictured for the first time how ridiculous it would be to sit in this shower and have the water completely miss you because the angle was wrong. He said he would talk to the manager and they may fix it, but for now the Park place will not work. I think the Tropicana will be OK.

 It is very convenient - next best thing to staying onsite.
