Special Requests at Hotel

Does anyone know if it possible to make special requests for the hotel portion of your stay if you booked the package? We are DVC members, so this is the first time we booked a package. We won this trip through Kellogg's, so I have been VERY agreeable with all the arrangements. However as the trip gets closer, I keep thinking how tight the sleeping arrangments are going to be at Port Orleans Riverside, and would like a room with the trundle bed as our 2 kids won't share a bed. I'm just not sure if I should call the hotel directly or go through DCL. Any suggestions?

I personally travel everywhere with our trusty aerobed....it doesn't take up much room, comes with its own backpack type bag. My neice and nephew hate to share beds and personally so do I so this way we always had our own beds and didn't have to worry about renting a cot from the hotels for 10.00 a night!
