A friend of mine from another forum told me about this place and it's exactly what I need right now! I've been to Disney World several times, but the last time I went was 1995, so I there are many things I've never seen. On top of that, my husband has never been to Disney and I'm taking him while he's home for R&R (He's deployed in Iraq right now). I'm so excited!!! This was a very spur of the moment decision and I really need to get my thoughts in order. We don't have a lot of time or a ton of money, but I think if I can make a plan, we'll have a great time anyway. Don't you think taking a newbie to Disney World for the first time is the best thing ever?

crazytp93, thanks for the PM, but I can't seem to reply to it. I'm getting this error:
Could not find phrase 'error_postcount_too_low_pm'.
Should this be happening?

Thank you to both you and your husband for his and your service!
My oldest DS (now 28) did 3 tours in Iraq before being discharged. He's home now thank goodness.
Be sure to check out Shades of Green as a place to stay it may be more affordable or one of the values. The moderates are nice too and if it's just the two of you made be that could be a choice for you both. Port Orleans Riverside can be very romantic. :lovestruc
There is lots of information on these boards and be sure to ask all the questions you want. Some one will have an answer. Have a great trip!:cool1:

 Welcome to the DIS.
I spend the night in Savannah on my way down to Disney. Unfortunately, I want to get there so much I haven't visited your city. I know it would be a wonderful place to visit.

I've lived my entire life in Alabama, and Savannah is the most beautiful city I've ever seen. DH and I often talk of 'retiring' down there. It's incredible. And they have the best Southern Hospitality around. :lovestruc

I know it would be a wonderful place to visit.Wow, lots of interest in Savannah. :lmao: I imagine a lot of us go to Disney World because it's relatively close. My family used to go on Christmas instead of trading gifts. Savannah is a wonderful place to visit, but seeing as I've lived here my whole life (and that's 29 years), I've seen everything there is to see and I'm looking forward to moving this fall. We're going to upstate New York. Talk about a change of scenery! If you have an interest in history, Savannah is definitely a place to see.

Definately PORiverside. Not only is it beautiful, it's reminds me alot of Savannah.
Our problem is that we are DVC now and can't afford to stay at POR.

Armstrong...a fine institution of higher learning. I spent 5 of my best years there.
But that was 25 years ago.
