Is the after hours party worth the money at Magic Kingdom? Does anyone know what rides are open? We are only going to be at Disney for 2 days and trying to make the most out of it.

No need to apologize! ;) I'm just trying to save you the trouble of waiting for replies....

The search function is the only "bad" thing I've found on the DIS. It just doesn't work!

We loved it! It was worth it just to be able to have some one-on-one time with Jack Sparrow and my family. But above and beyond that, the fireworks show for this event is just out of this world! And the parade is fun too. I would totally call this event worth it!!! ( we hardly had time to actually DO any rides! )

This party sounds like so much fun. I wish we were going at a time when it was offered. :sad1:

It was the highlight of our recent trip. Even with rain for most of the evening it was magical!!! Most of the rides are open and character interaction is great! My kids loved the treasure hunt and dance parties. The parade and fireworks are so worth seeing! Hope you have a great trip!

I'm a very frugal person and was hesitant to spend the extra $ on our Feb 08 trip. I'am sooooo glad I did! I would do it again in a hearbeat. Try to dress up as priates & princesses, it adds to the fun. Most rides are open (I didn't find any that weren't) and lots of charachters to be seen. Party offically starts at 7pm but go early and enjoy!!!!:woohoo:

As far as I have seen there are no PPPs scheduled after June 4th. I read that from AllEars.net. Maybe the schedule there is not current so you might want to check it out by calling.

I think that all the rides were open when we went. Unless there is a refurb scheduled then all the rides will probably be open. There are also all the dance parties with different characters, meet and greets, and booty collections stationed throughout the park. Oh yeah, the special Pirate and Princess parade and the fireworks. Fireworks were awesome!!!

We did P&P in March. It was just my DH and me. We had an awesome time. No waits for anything. There were alot of rides open...not all but alot. The fireworks were amazing. The parade was good...it is alot like the 3:00 parade with some different characters.

I wasn't sure we should do it because of the extra money and we don't have children. It seems to be geared to them, but we had a blast.

Open rides: Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Stitch's Great Escape, Raceway, Teacups, Pooh, Pirates, SM, BTMRR, HM, Aladdin's Magic Carpets, and the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. These are the rides we rode. They is perhaps more open. There are also characters that you don't frequently see in the parks. Cinderella's stepmother, John Smith, Cap'n Jack Sparrow, etc. Also, characters such as Minnie and Daisy are dressed in princess outfits.

Finally, Cinderella's carriage is out for you to take pictures, which I thought was really cool.
