I currently have rooms at Boardwalk reserved for Jan 2003, but someone suggested trying to get reservations at Beach Club Villas instead. I haven't been in too many years so I am clueless. I definitely am looking for a resort that offers 1-bedroom villas.
Thanks for you help!!!!

Beach Club villas is a brand new part of the DVC that is opening in July. It will have the same studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units that you find at BWV but will be located as part of the Beach Club Resort. You can see pictures at www.disneyvacationclub.com

Either would be 1st class.

There are a few differences between them. The BW has a nice pool, but not as nice as Stormalong Bay, the main pool at the BC. The BC doesn't have the convenience of the Screen Door General Store for groceries. The store at the BC does offer some food items, but no where near the selection as at the BW.
The BC master bedroom has a desk with a lamp and "ta dah!" a phone jack and power for your laptop! No more sitting on the bed to do e-mail!!
The BC IMHO has better on property dining options. It has the potential for better views, but taht is not guaranteed. The BW has the entertainment at night right outside your doors, as well as nightclubs. Considering that they are a five minute walk from each other, it doesn't really matter.

Ducklite, my understanding is that BC will have a store similar to the other DVC resorts by the time it opens. I think they are expanding the current store.

I hope so. They seem to have plenty of room in the current store.
Two other differences I just thought of, DVC players as opposed to VHS, and no Community Hall (at least not that I"m aware of.)

One additional thought...
The views at the new BCV will not be as nice as the views at BWV. BCV will not have any views of the lake in front of the BC/YC.
I agree that they will expand the store to include more items. They did this at WL for the Villas.
Either will be a great choice!

BCV is still somewhat of an unknown but it looks like it will be very nice. As to views, about 45% of the rooms will face Epcot and thus may have very good views. BWV's advantage is you are right there for everything--the boardwalk, the main pool, the restaurants are right out your door.BCV is located next to Beach Club and you will have to walk from the villas to and through Beach Club to get to the main pool and restaurants. No big deal though doing that. Also, in January where the pool is probably not going to mean anything as it is usually too cool to use it. You will not go wrong with either choice.

We had a hard time deciding which to choose, but decided to try the new BCV. I really don't think you can go wrong with either resort. :)
Have a great trip!!!

TgrLvsPooh--Let me know what you think once you get back from BCV. I would love to hear how you would compare the two once you stay at each of them.
Thanks to everyone!! I think that we would have a great time at either place. I just want to do everything I can to help ensure a great trip to WDW.
I will let you know how it goes---but it isn't until 1/03 : (

Ah, but a significant number of these rooms will have a view of Epcot, including Illuminations. The others will look out over the new pool area.
