Hi, all...just wanted some advice. After doing some serious studying in my PassPorter 2002, I'm leaning toward a stay at PO for our fifth anniversary trip in October. At first, we were really excited about staying at the AKL-a deluxe!!-but PO seems really romantic with the DD boat and great theming/pools/spas/landscaping (plus think of all the money we could save to put toward some great meals!). The only things that we are looking for is a king bed and being close to a spa/hot tub. Which PO should we stay in and why?? Any other hints for staying at PO?? Thanks...what would I do without this board!?? :p

I love FQ. It has the same Big Easy feel as New Orleans.
I wish they would hurry and reopen it!

I have stayed at both and although I love both, the FQ is my favorite due to the smaller size of the resort. Unfortunately, during our week stay there, I never once was able to get into the hot tubs; even at 7:00 a.m. people were in them.
Mini Rant- parents! Please may sure your children don't use the hot tubs like a pool! I know I'm not the only one who has been in a hot tub while children with water wings joyfully lept in (splashing all) and got out repeatedly to keep jumping in. Watching other people's children while I'm on vacation is NOT something I want to do.

Another vote for PO-FQ! We've stayed there twice, and just love it. My best friend and her dh stayed there on their honeymoon (on our recommendation) and were really happy with it. I was *so* disappointed when they closed FQ, because even though we're DVC members, we planned to stay at FQ every now and then. I'm thrilled that it's opening again!

Tarheel Tink,
It is not the watching other peoples kids while on my vacation that I mind, it is the fact that if they are wearing water wings they are DEFINITELY too young to be in the hot tub in the first place. If they are under ten they shouldn't be in the hot tub for health reasons (the water is too hot and can cause them heart problems) Makes me wonder about the intelligence of the parents:mad:
Well now let me get off my soap box.:bounce:
