Our first DVC vacation is only 25 days away:thumbsup2
For those who have rented bikes, can you rent small bikes with training wheels for the young ones? We will have a 3 year old with us, do they have bikes with a back seat where she can enjoy the ride?
One more...can we rent these bikes thru the resort and how much are they?
As always, thanks for the help:)

We've rented small bikes with training wheels and one with a bike seat on the back before. I think we've rented the little seat that you pull along behind the bike also. All of our bike rentals have come from the recreation desk at Disney, but I've also read that you can find other places on the island that will drop off and pick up at the resort if they are all out there.

We just rented bikes from the resort last week. They do have bikes with training wheels. They also have the little trailers that hook to the back wheel and you pull the little tykes from behind. We rented five bikes for the length of stay (6 nights) and it was $117. It is very convenient to just rent from Disney. There are several other off resort options as well. I have heard that the bikes go quickly at busy times so you may want to get down to Recreation asap, after you arrive. We had been to HH several times and this was the first time we rented the bikes. We are so glad we did. We rode to the beach almost every day.

Renting bikes is great at HHI. We would ride to the beach early AM for the morning, and then ride back at lunch.
Sounds like the rental prices from the resort went up. For the past 6 years it has been $25 for each of the first two bikes and then $10 for each additional (for length of stay). Our cost was always $80 for 5 bikes for length of stay. That is a HUGE increase!

We were there from 3/23 to 3/28 and the price was $50 for the first two and then $20 for each additional bike.

I think the bike rental rates may change with the seasons. During peak seasons, the $50/$20 sounds right, but I think during off season, they may run better deals.
