Has anyone been doing research on the Western Ports and what is available without doing an excursion? I was looking today at websites for Grand Cayman and it looks as if they have public transportation that runs along the coast up to the West Bay (where Hell is). It appears that the cost for the bus is $1.50 each way and runs every 15 minutes. I was wondering if anyone had been to Grand Cayman and used the public transportation system, etc.

Why we are looking at going on our own (not Disney excursions) is that our twin DD's are only 5.5 years old and that is too young for most of Disney's snorkeling excursions. My girls are excellant swimmers and have snorkled before....

So, anybody out there ever been to Cayman or Cozumel and know of places to go on your own and the best ways (and cheapest too) to get around!!

Let's get our research together!!

Thanks!

Becki

Becki, I have been doing some research on things to do in both Cozumel and Grand Caymen. Try some of these links;
Cozumel:

Depending on what reports I get from DIS cruisers I think we are going to do the StingRay 1/2 day trip with Capt. Marvin in GC and the horsebackriding and Playa Sol Beach club in Cozumel. Will will do these on our own as it is much less expensive then with a Disney tour.
Hope this helps.
