Would you do Chef Mickey or Liberty Tree for your last ts meal on your vacations? We will be doing MK on a day that they close at 7 for the Halloween Party. I currently have a reservation for 7:40 at Chef Mickey, but was wondering if we would like Liberty Tree better. We found pictures on the trip reports that showed Chef Mickey and everyone was excited about the Sundae Bar. Which is a better character experience?

We have 3 boys (ages 1,2 & 3) & last trip we did both. We really liked both meals but I'd have to say we all preferred Chef Mickey's. Although, I loved the family style service at Liberty Tree, much easier with young children.

I vote for CM. Food is good. Characters are good. LTT the food is OK. Characters are OK. The wait time was bad for us there. Overall, I would do CM again in a heartbeat. We won't do LTT again.

We are doing LTT for our last TS restaurant this year. However we are doing CM twice. My DH loves their buffet and my DD (3) last year enjoyed all the characters stopping by. Either would be good, but I'm leaning toward CM.

No-brainer....Chef Mickey's.
Food at LTT sucks. The atmosphere is cool as well as the character interaction but NOT the food.

We did LTT on our first trip and no one in our family cared for it. My DH and my DD both loved Chef Mickeys. I thought that the character interaction was really cute at CM but I didn't really love the food but it would still get my vote.

I vote Chef Mickey. I actually really like CM & LTT BUT the characters are "more fun" (if that's possible) at CM.

Another vote for Chef Mickey's.
The food and service here is usually better in the oppinion of most.

Chef Mickey's. We are actually doing it for the first time this year, but we have done LTT and although it's a really great place we did not care very much for the food. It's just average. I would stay in MK till it closes and the head over to CM

I know a lot of people knock the LTT but I have had great meals and character interaction with my kids there. I've eaten there about 3 times and I will take the family style seating over a buffet all the time.
I ate at CM last year and hated it. Thought the food was just ok and felt tied to my seat waiting for the characters to come by.

I totally agree! I was kind of surprised at the responses so far. I think the food at Chef Mickey's is gross. Maybe we just went on a bad buffet day or something ... but yuck! Soggy and semi-cold. The atmosphere is cool at CM as far as characters go, but we felt rushed overall.
When dd and I ate at LTT a few years ago, we loved it! I have the cutest pics of her with Chip and Dale. And Minnie actually took her hand and danced with her for several minutes (my dd had on a sweet custom Mnnie outfit, and all of the characters loved it). I actually thought the food was good at LTT. Down home comfort type stuff. And we did not feel rushed at all.

Hands down, Chef Mickey's. We've been to both numerous times, but everyone loves Chef Mickey's.

Chef Mickeys is more of a "party" atmosphere. We love it. Especially breakfast. We enjoyed LTT but it is much more subdued. We enjoyed the food at LTT fine. Lets fact it, the character meals aren't 5 star meals. You are there for the character interaction. Also, there was no "Mickey" at LTT when we were there. If you have Mickey fans head to Chef Mickeys for sure!
