Our Story.....:lovestruc
My DF's name is Bobby. We met in June of 2007 on Myspace of all places...lol. We became a couple officially on June 18, 2007.
Right from the start we knew that we were meant for each other. We had 6 wonderful months together, never fighting, always getting along. He is the male version of me and I am the female version of him. It is crazy!
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/tb.jpg
The engagement....
So on Christmas Day of 2007, I was over my DF's house opening presents. We got done opening all of our presents under the tree now it was time for our stockings. I found a card in my stocking that have me a clue. I didn't get it at first but he told me that I better go do what the card says. I proceeded to start a scavenger hunt. The next location had another card with another clue and so on....
So finally I got to the last card. It went on to say how much he loved me and how special I was...very super mushy! The card told me to look up. When I did my DF was down on one knee with a ring asking me to marry him. I was so super excited that I snatched the ring out of his hand and put it right on...lol. Obviously I said yes!
Here is my engagement ring. It is a 1 carat emerald cut diamond.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/Randomness168.jpg
We started planning our wedding here in NJ. We were going to have about 180 people. I booked the reception site, photographer and dj. In the midst of planning I knew that it wasn't for me.
I am a well known disney freak, as well as my family....lol. Since the wedding pavillion was built I had always wanted a Disney wedding. I have been to disney about 30 or 40 times. I lost count to be honest. It was natural for me to get married in Disney. My DF was so supportive of the idea and we immediately cancelled everything up here an contacted Disney. Our families are so excited and can't wait. We are only have about 27 people and I wouldn't want it any larger than that. It is going to be such a great time with our close family and friends.
Now our wedding will be a SBP, The Attic and a DP at the UK. I can't wait to start planning more details. Our wedding will be on February 2nd, 2009.
I look forward to planning and chatting with you all. You have all really helped me out so far and I look forward to getting to know everyone in the process.

Reception Items
April 9, 2009
Ok so today I got done a few things. My theory is the more I get done early on the better I will be as time gets closer.
First, the most important thing that happened today was that I booked Misty Miotto for my pictures!! I am very happy with this choice. I was looking at Ecoon's PJ and our weddings will be identical right down to Donald Duck visiting the reception. I loved the work Misty did for her wedding so I decided to book her. Not only were her pictures amazing but she charges half the price of Disney's ultimate package and gives you full day coverage.
Later on today I was playing around online looking for deals and I stumbled upon the cutest cake knife, server, toasting glasses, garter and cake topper. They were all on Ebay and I got them. Here are the pics:
****NOTE: These were fixed up differenty later in this thread****

CAKE TOPPER

These would be great if they were brunettes but they only come with blonde hair. Oh well.
Next up in planning will be Saturday when I go to find my gown!!!! This is the best part of planning. Hopefully I will have a dress to post on here!!!!

:lovestruc My Gown
NOTE: THIS IS NO LONGER MY GOWN
Ok today I found my gown!!!! I am scared to post it on here but its not a picture of me so if my DF happens to stumble across this I guess it wont be so bad. Hopefully he doesnt know how to find this site.
So here it is...Its an Alfred Angelo super puffy and princessy gown!!! This will be great stepping out of Cinderella's Carriage!!! This was the last dress I tried on and my wonderful mother found it in back of a ton of other dresses. We had never seen it when we had previously looked at all of them. Is like it was just sitting there waiting for me. These pictures don't even begin to show how pretty it is. It is so sparkley like its had pixie dust thrown all over it!!

The veil goes with it so well. I dont have pictures but when I go for my fitting I will try to get some good pics. The veil has diamonds, well fake ones..lol. and the headpiece is sort of a barret that looks like a mini tiara. It sets off the gown perfectly. Now I just need my jewelery and shoes! Maybe a wrap for the DP since it will be chilly in February!

General Updates, Bookings, Bling, etc.
1) The contract is in and signed. We paid more than our deposit. We had the money so we though we might as well get it to Disney before we spend it somewhere else. (like a coach bag..lol)
2) I think I mentioned this before but we booked Misty Miotto. I also booked her to do my make-up. My mom will be doing my hair. She is a hair stylist so if she does my hair at least I can yell at her until she gets it right :rotfl:. I am very excited about having Misty! I love her pictures. I saw her pics for all of my venues so I get an idea of how my pics will be.
3) We booked Rev. Jack Day. This is another selection I am happy about. He is so adorable and reminds me of my grandfather! I am sure he wouldn't like to hear that but he does. He had great ceremonies to choose from but we are sticking with his "suggested ceremony". The only thing we are changing is the unity candle ceremony to the sand ceremony.
4) I decided to get Cinderella's Glass Coach. This is the best update!!! It will be so much fun and so romantic to pull up to SBP in the carriage. I am a big ham so any more attention paid to me is fun...LOL!!!
Ok so now the updates that have pictures!!!
RINGS...BLING!
My DF and I got our wedding bands.
Here is the DF's on my thumb...lol. His ring is Tungston. It has a really weird design. It sort of reminds me of a rope or some kind of weave. Its cool though. Whatever floats his boat.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/Bobbyring.jpg
And here is mine. I tried to take a picture of it on my finger with my e-ring but for some reason my camera didn't want to cooperate so I had to steal the picture off of the website.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/080122601_MV_LG.jpg
I didn't want anything too BLINGY to take away from my e-ring. Just something to add a little something.
Shoes!
These are my shoes I got!! I love shoes!
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/CARMEN.jpg
Well it seems that is all for now. Oh and PS. If you haven't already noticed already I fixed my wedding gown pics on page 2 to actually come up instead of being links. I don't know what happened before but I fixed it. Much easier than clicking on links...I am so lazy.
Until later!!

I know they were great. I found them on one website and it was a 2 1/2 inch heel which would NOT work..lol.
Then I went to www.dyeableshoestore.com and found them with at 1 1/2 inch heel. I was so excited!!!!
My DF and I are the same height so I didn't want to tower over him too much :rotfl:

Tiara, Veil, Jewelry
***Since my dress changed, so did this stuff**** Later in the thread.
Ok so I thought I had my headpiece and jewelry thing all settled but, as I often do, I changed my mind. The original headpiece I had was just a comb. I thought I loved it but then as I started thinking about it I really really wanted a tiara. I have always wanted a tiara so why I bought the comb I have no idea!
So this is what I bought from www.bridalfashionmall.com
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/TI-166-2T.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/TI-166-prod-4540.jpg
Oh and I found pictures of my veil on this website even though I didn't buy it from the website.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/VB-409-mod-blusher.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/VB-409-close.jpg
So now I got this new headpiece and I really didn't think it went well with my jewelry so I had to get new stuff and this is what I bought.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/JS-500-2.jpg
So girls, tell me what you think. Did I make a good choice. If you want to see it with my gown here is my gown again.

Beautiful choice. I think that tiara matches perfectly and I love the veil. That is such a princessy dress you need a tiara to match.
I know what you mean about keeping on looking - I had my dress all picked out - then the Wednesday before the Saturday I was going to order my dress - I found another dress worn by a bride on these boards. I called a local dress salon and found not that dress but one very similar - so then I was undecided for about a month - going back and forth. I finally decided on the second one and ordered it.
I have now stopped looking - I do not want to find something else.

Toni -- Everything has come together so beautifully! I think the tiara and your new jewelry will be absolutely stunning with that dress.
BTW, I showed three different friends your shoes, saying I want to buy them and get them dyed pink and every single one, including my friend who just got married in March, urged me to reconsider any shoe with rhinestones. Jess especially said her shoes left little pulls/tears at the bottom of her gown and often "caught" at the hem because of the rhinestones. She urged me, if I get anything with rhinestones, to wear the shoes with something long and flowy before the wedding day. I never would have thought of that. Then again, their rhinestones were on the front top of the shoe, not all the way back at the ankle. Just thought I'd throw that out there, since I was just reminded of this again this morning. :goodvibes

Oh wow I never thought of that. I have back ups though if that happens. I will wear them when I go to my fitting and see if it snags. If it does I will find another pair. If they do pull I will just wear them for my New Jersey reception since the dress I am going to get will be short. Good to know!!! Thanks for the heads up! :goodvibes

Aww well I hope its beautiful!!! It sounds like we are having similar weddings. My ceremony is SBP and I am having an Illuminations DP. I am just having my reception at the attic. I am so excited I don't think I can wait 9 months :rotfl:

My planning session will be on Monday, June 9th.
I am going down with my mom and my aunt (my second mother). We are going to stay all week which is great. Two Disney trips in a year!!! I already went on vacation in March..lol.
I didn't know if I would be able to go for the planning session but I think it will be easier for me to sit down face to face.
So anyone who has had Celeste, is she as nice as she sounds!!??

I had Celeste as my original planner and she was great. She was very prompt with her email responses. I had to switch planners about a month or 2 ago because Celeste was going to be out on maternity leave during my wedding so I got a new planner. I never got to meet Celeste, but she was really sweet. I know a few other brides on here that have had Celeste or have her now and love her. I'm sure you will too. ;)

I know now I really feel like I can get started!! I am still trying to get myself to love the Attic. I do like it but it just seems strange to me. I am all about the big fancy ballrooms and things like that so its not something I have been thinking about all my life...lol. Getting a ballroom would be silly for me though since I only have 30 people. But I promise to post updates all the time! Especially after my planning session which I am super happy about!!
You have to post all about your planning session too! I can't wait to see!

Maybe you've already thought of this, but if you really have your heart set on a ballroom, have you considered the Whitehall Room & Patio? It's like a mini ballroom, and the patio/porch area is lovely. If you do a search for Ember's trip report, she had her reception there with something like 24 people.

Actually I did think of the Whitehall room too. My fiance would kill me if I switched now...lol. I have been driving him crazy with the wedding! Besides, if you loved the Attic I am sure it really is beautiful. I will be checking it out when I go down in june for my planning session. I think I am just being a big baby...lol. It is something different which is good. I need to step out of my cookie cutter wedding thoughts. The one thing I do love about the attic is the deck outside. That is awesome. I think what my problem is, is that I am a Jersey shore girl. I have been here all my life and the boardwalk (which is like Atlantic City) is old news to me. So I think its just like yeah ok I see this everyday...lol. It will be great though anywhere. Just as long as I am in Disney I am a happy girl :cutie: Thanks for all your help carrie!! You really help so many people on here!

Just started reading through your journal since I got back. I love your princess dress it will look fantastic. Are you going to do a MK shoot? I think that dress definitely goes along with that theme and would look great in front of the castle!
The Donald and Daisy accessories are so cute. I remember one bride had Donald stamps on her cake instead of the standard Mickey ones which was such a great detail.
The Attic does have some great views of Epcot and I think (not 100% positive) that you can see some of Illuminations from there if you have an evening reception. The one warning because we considered it for our reception before we outgrew those sites, it is a really, really long walk down cooridors of guest rooms from the elevators to the Attic, we had some elderly guests and I know it might have been too much for them.

Save the Dates!!
So I recieved my Save the Dates in the mail along with the Cake and Music CD's. My family and DF's family was so excited to get them. They all called us to tell us how cool it was and what a nice package they put together. Silly people.
I was excited because now people will stop bugging me with "when can we make our reservations"? My poor daddy started tearing up reading the Save the Date because his baby is getting married....lol. I said no of that nonsense!! :rotfl: Im not all about the tears and emotions. It makes me uneasy for some reason :rotfl:
So I gave everyone the choices of:
The Grand Floridian (Obvious choice)
Cornado Springs (request of my brothers)
Wilderness Resort and Campground (request of FMIL)
All Star Movies (nobody's request, just what they are getting..lol)
I have decided on my cake..that was an ordeal....poor DF  I will save that post for a little later though ;)

Thank you so much!! I am having a Magic Kingdom shoot! I am also have the carriage so all of these elements kind of helped me pick the dress, plus I loved how poofy it was..lol.
I am going to get to see the Attic in June. I am having a planning session and site visit. I don't have anyone elderly so that should work out but it is something to think about. Actually the more things that I find, like my cake, flowers, etc. that I have found actually fit pretty well with the Attic and I am starting to get really excited about it. I am having a DP so I will see Illuminations in Epcot but it does seem to have a nice view of Spaceship Earth!

Wow, all I can say is you guys are lucky that people are excited and bugging you about making reservations....I wish it were that way on my end. Ever since we started planning our DFTW all we have heard from DF's side of the family is what a pain in the butt it will be to travel, and why do we have to have it there, etc. Just negative, negative, all the time!!!! It really does become a downer and very frustrating when people deliberately go out of their way to burst your bubble and make you feel bad about your own wedding!!! That's only his side though, my side of that family is all for it!!!! AHHHHHHH!!! Just a little vent, thanks for listening!! :)

Yeah that is true I should be happy they all want to go. I have seen many brides on here that have problems with their families. I don't know why people voice their opinions over what a bother it will be to travel to a wedding. I would never put down someone's wedding plans. That is supposed to be their happy day and nobody should get upset or mad. I am lucky my family is filled with Disney freaks like myself..lol

Hi Toni,
Just read your PJ... Great Start so far. I just had to leave you a message because me and my DF met on myspace as well in may 2006. We knew right away as well. We havent been apart since the night we met. We talked about marriage right away but waited a year before we got engaged. We are also from NJ. I'm from morris county and he is from sussex county. We recently moved to FL but our families are still there and they are all coming for the wedding. I always thought since I was little that I would have my wedding in NJ at a golf course called crystal spring in october. Then we just wanted a vegas wedding but my parents said NO WAY! my mom suggested disney and we knew it was right. Good luck with planning. Mine is in 3 mths and believe me its coming up quick. btw my DF wants a tungtsen ring. He said it will be the only kind he will wear.

Oh wow! That is awesome! There must be something about Myspace  I actually "stalked" him on myspace before talking to him. Its a good way to find out how he really is..lol. That sounds bad but it is a joke with us now. I am from South Jersey and that is so funny your DF would only wear a tungston ring. Exactly what my DF said. He picked it out so as long as he likes it thats all that matters. That is so exciting you only have 3 months left. I can't wait to see pictures!! I will have to check out your PJ. Videographer, New Jersey Reception
Hello everyone!! :wave2:
I have a few updates I thought I would share.
Videographer
First, I booked Stan at STVS. I sent him an email for prices and in no time I received them by email. There were several packages but I decided to go with the lowest priced one (for wishes weddings). He was so nice to talk with and was very helpful. He offers great packages and does beautiful work. I saw Lynn's video and that was it for me. I was sold! I wasn't going to have a videographer but after seeing his work I couldn't pass it up!! I am pretty happy with this decision.
New Jersey Reception
Well I just talked to my DF today and his mother will be having a huge reception in Jersey on March 28th. It will be with everyone that didn't make it down to the Disney wedding which will be TONS of people...lol. I get to buy another gown which I am excited about!! It will not be anywhere close to the dress I already got for Disney. Something more slim fitting and a tiny bit more casual since my DF will be wearing a suit. Once I find my Jersey reception dress I will be sure to post it.
I guess thats all the updates for now. I actually do have some other things to post but I will save them for after the planning session so that I am sure of how everything is going.
Ta Ta for now! :cutie:

I am the same way about the attic. I am considering it for my Dec 2010 VR but I am just not in love with it. I too kind of like the empty ballroom where you can make it anything you want it to be.
I can't wait to see more of your plans. Right now I am not sure if I would prefer SBP or an EPCOT location. I am thinking the Attic for reception and UK DP. But of course in 2 years that can all change.

New Jersey Reception Gown
Ok here is my gown for our New Jersey Reception. It is wayyyyyyyyy different from my Disney gown but I figured I could go from one extreme to the other and get the best of both worlds. Plus I didn't want to spend so much on this dress since I already did on my first one. So it came in today from David's Bridal along with my AP's which I already cherered about above. I included a picture of me hold my AP's per Christina's request . How exciting that you get to wear two wedding dresses! I watched a platinum weddings where the girl had three dresses. Your dress looks great and at a great price! WOW! I bet my mom cries everytime she sees how many great dresses there are out there that don't cost an arm and a leg! She spent more than she wanted to on mine.

Toni,
I will be in Disney for my site visit on the same day you guys have your PS. My appt is at 9am! Maybe we will bump into each other.
Everything is coming together so beautifuly for your wedding! I can't wait to read more. I absolutely LOVE both of your gowns! I really like the reception one. I was actually at David's the other day and saw that dress. Didn't try it on though, because in true "princess: princessprincess: " style, I had to only look at the puffy gowns! But I did find "THE DRESS" on the first try. First dress I even tried on too! I also am trying to stop myself from continuing to look at other dresses so I don't have 15 differ "THE DRESS" dresses:rotfl: But, I guess since I tried on a variety of different gowns there, I got the idea of what looked good and what didn't! But, I have "my dress" now, so it's ALL good!

Hi Toni,
I have been lurking and reading tons of PJs for a few months now, but I have been way too busy to actually write anything. :sad2:
Anyway, I LOVE all of your plans and I can't wait to see your actual wedding pics. Your dresses are gorgeous!
Where are you having your NJ reception? I don't remember if you posted that before.

Anyway- thanks for the AP pics! I don't get any so I just pretend with all you World Brides! :)
Wow three dresses!! That is crazy!! I will be in my princess looking dress for disney and then the second dress in New Jersey. Its great because I feel like I am wearing two different types of dresses so I am getting the best of both worlds. I am still loving my poofy dress the best though!!! Actually the first dress...the poofy one...was only $500.00 which was really surprising because I really thought I would be spending at least $1,000.00!!
Toni,
I will be in Disney for my site visit on the same day you guys have your PS.
Meghan:bride:
Wow that would be great!!! Where are you doing your site visits? I am actually having a site visit later that day too. I know that I am sticking with the places that I have but I really wanted to see them in person before the wedding.
I still see other dresses that I like but it was funny when I was trying on dresses because each one I put on I was like oh I love this one..I want this one...then when I finally put on the last one I was like this dress is so perfect for disney. It reminded me of Cinderella so I had to get it.

Thank you!!! I have to say that your PJ really helped me out a lot!!! I love seeing your beautiful wedding pictures because it really gives me a great idea of what will happen on my wedding day. You looked great in your pics!!!
Our New Jersey reception will be in Egg Harbor Township. I am from Vineland but my DF is from Egg Harbor so his mom is putting this together. It should be really nice. Its in a very casual hall so that is why I had to get a different dress that wasn't so crazy poofy... It will just be nice to have the family there.

Really!! That is great!!! I will eat an extra piece of cake for you and pretend its birthday cake!! I just realized that its groundhog day so I told my DF that he has no excuses and he cant forget our anniversary. How great would it be to be like that movie groundhog day and then my wedding and your birthday can repeat over and over again! :rotfl:

That would be a perfect VR dress!! Especially for a cruise. It was very inexpensive from David's Bridal it was $179.00. It came very fast. It only took 2 days.
Congrats on the 2nd dress, it's gorgeous.

Sorry....I got a little excited. We are staying at POP Century. I am excited because this will be the first time I stay there. I can now add POP to the list of resorts I have stayed in. The only down side to the trip is that we have to take a train because my mother REFUSES to fly. We are leaving from Philly and its a 19 hour ride to Orlando...ughhhhh :headache: . Oh well it will be worth it when I am in Disney!
Me and the DF are getting our engagement pictures done tomorrow so when I get them back I will be sure to post some in my PJ. :goodvibes

I'm a few days behind, but I wanted to pop over to say that your engagement pictures turned out great, my favorite is the third from the bottom where you're both looking at each other.
Your dress for your at-home reception is too cute! I also did something totally different for mine (which is this weekend!) I'm wearing my regular dress for part of the reception then I'm changing into a red satin dress, so a dramatic change from my fairytale gown at Disney.

You know I just realized I never answered your question about my mom!
YES!! She is so scared of planes. For my wedding she is driving down which is actually good because they are going to bring my dress down so I don't have to ship it out or carry it on the plane. As much as I would like to get there much faster, I have never been on a train so it will be an experience!

Wow you have the precious moments figurine!! How cool is that! My DF picked that out all by himself. He is a cartoonist so he is going to draw a cartoon of me and him too look similar to that figurine and then we are going to put it on coffee mugs and give everyone a mug with some Mickey Coffee. I have to see if I can buy some when I go down in June. If not I will put some other coffee in there. We are going to do the same design and put them on T-shirts for the kids. MAJOR FLORAL MELTDOWN!!!!
and some other miscellaneous things.
Ok so as some of you may know, I am having a planning session on June 9th.
I have been getting together lots of pictures of things that I want in order to give Celeste (my planner) and Rose (the florist) a good idea of what I am looking for. I am kind of going with a romantic, shabby chic look which, I feel, goes well with the Attic's current decor.
I am BIGGGGGGG on flowers and tiny details. I don't even care if anybody else notices, as long as I know they are there that is all that matters... :lmao: I cannot tell you how many pictures of flowers I have but I keep finding myself changing my mind about what I want to do. My colors are pink, silver and white. I am thinking of going with Roses, Sweet Peas and Hydrangeas. I don't want a big centerpiece because I don't want to take away too much from the Attic.
Ok well I guess my question is will the florist have a bunch of pictures and ideas for me to look at??? I have the pictures that I found but if she has better ideas I was just curious if she will have some pictures for me to look at. Anybody know?????? :confused3
Now the other things.......
I have decided that I am not 100% thrilled with the look of my glasses, knife and garter. I am really not digging the white ribbon on them. I would like to add my colors on them so I have decided to take them completely apart and fix them up myself. I will post pictures when I am done. I am going to the craft store today to see what I can find.
Sorry I had to vent!!! :worried:

Most of the pictures I remember Rose having were these boxes of cards with a picture of each flower on them, grouped by season (I think). There may have been pictures of centerpieces and other floral arrangements, but I wasn't very interested in them, so I don't remember.
I think you are doing a great job on your own if you've collected that many pictures! :thumbsup2 And Rose can sketch an idea that combines her suggestions and your suggestions to see if you're on the same page.

That sounds great. I hope we can put our heads together to come up with something. I don't want anything crazy and big just something small and simple just to add a little something so I am sure she will have some kind of idea. I just like to worry about things I guess! Hi Toni! I hope you're feeling a little less stressed now.
I'm not working with Rose, so I'm not sure how quick she is to get back to you or how receptive she will be to this idea. Have you told her what you want yet?
I've heard lots of mixed reviews about Disney floral via these boards, so I've been worrying a bit about it. I'm not getting a lot of flowers, but for what I am getting, I want something very specific. To help curb the flower-related stress, I have described exactly what I want to my disney florist. Then, she's been sending me pictures of what she thinks I'm looking for and what she has done in the past. That has really helped us get on the same page.
So, maybe if you do this, you can get the flower dialogue started with her, so it might be more stressful when you get down there. It's just my opinion, but I hope it helps :)

I sent over the form that she emailed to me so that she has an idea of what I am looking for at the planning session. I went with a romantic look with lush florals.
I think what my problem is, is that I used to be a florist so I have so many ideas and now I just want to get them all out there...lol. If I actually felt like making silks I would just do everything myself but I just don't want to be bothered making them and hauling them down from New Jersey.
YOU ALL MADE ME FEEL SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!!!

We're working with Celeste and Rose as well. Our planning session was a few weeks ago. Neither one of us care all that much about the centerpieces, so Rose came prepared with a huge binder with pictures in it. We selected a simple yet classic centerpiece.
So, yes, Rose will have tons of pictures and ideas if you want them.
Hope that helps!

Celeste is fantastic! She is very no-nonsense and organized. We hit a roadbump early on with the planning (long story but involves our Disney reservation info/wedding contact info being attached to an ex's mailing address), and she did a fantastic job handling the situation. I'm not a frilly, flowery kind of bride, and Celeste has done a great job with that (I was kind of worried that a wedding planner would try to force all sorts of frilly, flowy stuff us). I really, really like Celeste.
Rose is great: she is very organized and prepared. I must admit, though, I was exhausted by the latter half of the planning session when Rose came in (maybe it was all the park hopping, the heat, and drinking wine late into the night but the planning session just wore me out), so my recollection of our time with Rose is not entirely clear. My dress is primary black and ivory with some purple accents, so Rose suggested purple hydrangeas for my bouquet and purple hydrangea with votive centerpieces. We really had no idea what we wanted (and neither of us care all that much about what the centerpieces look like), which means that Rose did most of the work. :)
They are both fantastic!

That is so great to know!!!! She seemed really nice and I can't wait to meet her! It should be really fun!!!

Wedding Items....A CRAFT STORE TR!! :rotfl:
Today I felt like being crafty so I had the brilliant idea to fix up my toasting glasses, cake knife and garter. So after work I headed over to Michaels (in case you don't have a Michaels around that would be a craft store) and I went shopping. I love Michaels. So much fun being crafty!!!
So off I headed to the the ribbon section to find some pretty pink ribbons. I found a light pink and a dark pink. Those are my shades. I will post my wedding colors a little later. So I got my ribbon and now I wanted to find some white ribbon, lace or tulle or something like that for my garter to make it a bit fancier. So I finally found some really pretty white ribbon.
In the aisle where I found the ribbon was wedding invitations (it was the wedding section) One whole side was wedding invitations. Let me tell you I spent an HOUR looking at all the invitations to find something that fit my theme (shabby chic). I found some plain white ones, white ones with hearts, white with silver edging. I was not feeling these things AT ALL! I didn't plan on getting invitations anytime soon but I figured I might as well look while I was there. I found nothing!!! Blah...ok now off to find sparkles and glitter!!
So I went to the scrapbooking aisle to find some diamonds to put on my ribbons that will go on my wedding stuff and I found pretty clear and pink diamonds. Well while I was in the scrapbooking aisle I found a TON of Martha Stewart wedding stuff. She has paper centerpieces, invitations, favor boxes, everything for weddings and it is all so cute! Well I found fabulous invitations that I had to have!! So I bought them. I knew I wanted to have a little mickey on them too so I got some diamonds to do that also.
Another thing I was looking for was favor packaging. My favors are a little complicated. I will discuss them later but I did buy packaging for them.
This shopping trip cost me $161.00 which I didn't think was TOO bad especially since I bought invitations.
NOW THE FUN PART!!!!! PICTURES!
Ok if you have read my PJ in the early stages you have seen pictures of my wedding items when I bought them from Ebay. Well now we are going to do a fun BEFORE AND AFTER.

The garter pictures weren't working very well for me so I only have one. Sorry.
Ok so those are my before and after photos. Hope you liked those. Now some NEW PICTURES!!
Invitations!
So here are my invitations. They are by Martha Stewart. JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW THE NAMES ON THE INVITATIONS ARE NOT MINE. I DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE BUT THEY CAME WITH THE BOX.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/9.jpg

Favor Box
Ok now a little story about the favors. I didn't know what to get for favors. I was lost. I looked at everything and I just didn't like anything. I didn't want to get something someone would throw out after I spent all that time thinking of something to give them. So one day as I was lying in bed I had a great idea! Wait let me get the bright idea guy... There we go. Ok so I was lying in bed and then it hit me! I can make something up myself!
My DF is a very talented cartoonist (at least I think so..lol) he does comic strips and he is a character in the comic strip. He was toying around with adding me into the strip so he did a cartoon of me. So I said to him why don't you draw me and you in wedding gear with the mickey ears on too look like our cake topper. (there is a pic of that early on in my PJ). So, obviously, he loved the idea because then he could show off but I couldnt think of what to put it on. Then I had another idea... LOL sorry, a coffee mug. Who doesnt love a coffee mug?! So that was our idea and that is what we are doing. I am going to find coffee and tea bags to put in them also. I was going to look in DTD to see if they have anything. For the kids we are making T-Shirts and then I am going to get them all autograph books and some other activities to play with for there favors.
Unfortunately I do not have a sample of my favor because my DF is being lazy but I do have the packaging it will be in. I always loved the idea of a gift box sitting on the tables as a favor so that is what I did. Here is what my crafty self came up with...
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/15.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/16.jpg
I think it came out pretty good. I like the little metal thank you tags.
So in closing, here is a picture of my entire ensamble minus the gift box.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/12.jpg
I guess you can tell my colors are pink...lol. I will lay out the entire color scheme after my planning session.
I hope you enjoyed this installment of DisneyBrideToni's PJ. Sorry for my poor spelling but its midnight so I should be excused. Stay tuned for more updates AFTER my Planning Session Trip June 6-June 15. :goodvibes

Thank you!!!!! It took me forever but I am happy with the results. The originals were nice but I just had to add some of my personality to them.

THANK YOU!! I am glad it looks shabby chic. I am just trying to work with the Attic decor and that is what I think it looks like...LOL. I love the invites. Martha Stewart Rocks!! LOL. When I bought them my DF was like "why do you need invites? Everyone thought the Disney things were the invites". I got all bridezilla for my first time and yelled. "I WANT INVITATIONS! ITS MY WEDDING AND I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT!! ITS PROPER ETIQUETTE SO SHUT UP!!! LOL it was funny. I was proud of my very first bridezilla moment. Didn't know I had it in me.

Thanks!!! I had so much fun making everything!! The gift boxes turned out better than I thought. I only bought a small amount of ribbon so I will have to make sure I buy some more. I think I would be better off getting everything online it may be a bit cheaper. The ribbon is nice. Its a silky pink. I am going to bring it to my planning session so the florist can see my colors.

Thank you!!!! It does feel awesome to get these things done. I LOVEEE Michaels!! Its my second home too...well actually third, Disney is my second..lol. You know it is very easy to buy these things already done up but you really feel a great sense of accomplishment knowing that you did these things yourself! It was so much fun doing them. Now when people compliment them you feel proud that your hard work got paid off. The items were nice to begin with but they just weren't me so I knew I had to do something to glam them up a bit. They turned out MUCH better than I thought. I had my doubts!

I make flower arrangements for his house all the time (I am trying to girl it up before I move in when we get married). Now I usually go when I get done working and he isn't home yet. I spent about two hours in there yesterday getting that stuff and looking at everything!

Thank you!!! I will definitely take pictures of the Attic. I will try and get some good detailed ones since I haven't found any on here that really gives too much detail (before a wedding). I want to get good pictures of the fabrics used on the furniture and the little details in the Attic to help me out and I will be sure to post them. Also I really want to write a pretty detailed trip report to help other brides out!
Right now he is working on some new comic strips and will be doing a website. Right now he has a Myspace page. www.myspace.com/liltoecomics basically it is a comic strip about a little boy (based after his nephew) that causes a lot of trouble!

Planning Session Trip Report!
June 6-June 15th
Since days 1 and 2 were basically traveling I have decided to combine them.
Day 1~Leaving for Florida
So starts my PS TR. I was so excited to leave to go to Florida but I HATE traveling. Any mode of transportation is torture for me but let me tell you I was not looking forward to the train!
The night before I got myself all packed up and made sure I had all of the things that I needed for my PS.
My suitcase. I hope I brought enough clothes!

These pictures and books turned out to be very valuable!!!
Now I had to have the perfect items for my train ride to make sure I was comfortable!
My Disney Princess Blanket
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession058.jpg
My Expedition Everest Yetti which was my "pillow"

My hoodie in case it gets chilly on the train.

and of course my Mickey Crocs!
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession061.jpg
Well now I was ready to go!!
So we left on Friday, June 6th and the limo came to pick up me, my mom and my aunt to take us to Philadelphia's 30th Street Station.
Here are some silly pictures of us in the limo.
My mom is the one in the black and white top.

Well we had never been on a train so we didn't really know the ropes. Did we check in, where do we check our bags. The Amtrak people are not the friendliest of folks. I guess when you have to deal with people every day you have to have a rough exterior? I don't know I am just giving them the benefit of the doubt. Well we finally figured everything out and found out the area we needed to go to get on the train. Here is a picture of the underground railroad..lol sorry I couldnt resist, but it really was underground. It was like a subway really.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession075.jpg
Ok well we get on and I was somewhat disappointed with what I saw. When I looked up the seating on the website the seats looked like cozy puffy leather recliners. WELL...that is not what we sat in. Instead of the aforementioned seats we had hard, cloth, not at all puffy seats. We had a cabin assistant that was pretty cool. She seemed rough but she was actually great. She kept the car spotless and the bathrooms, much to my delight, very clean!
Here are some scenes in and out of the train.

After about 5 hours on this stupid train, rocking and rolling around I started getting stir crazy. I wanted off of this thing and I called up my DF crying and telling him how horrible the train was and that I want to get off at the next stop! He calmed me down but I was still hating this long 19 hour ride ahead of me!! Darn my mom for not wanting to fly!! :headache: Finally at around 11:30 I started getting sleepy. Sleeping on this thing was not the easiest of tasks. First of all I was rolled up in a fetal position trying to sleep on this chair. It was painful! My back and neck hurt so bad. I kept waking up from the pain but also from the wind shaking the train all over the place. I was scared to death that this stupid train was going to derail or something! All I wanted to do was go to sleep so that I could get to Orlando faster..lol.
Well after this horrible ordeal we finally got to Florida!!!

DAY 2
Ok so we finally made it into Orlando! I was surprised at how yucky the Orlando train station was! I was expecting this big station but instead it looked like a deserted building that trains rode by.
Anyway we were there and that was all I cared about!

My dad arranged for a van to pick us up to take us to POP Century. The driver was so sweet. He was very funny. I recommend Mears for all your travel needs!! :lmao: Request "JC" I believe his full name was Jesus Carabello. He was so awesome!
When we started getting closer to the resort I couldn't help but take pictures.

WE WERE HERE!!!

POP was so cute!!! I loved it! Out of all the value resorts this was by far the best! So we checked in and our room was in the 70's building. I was hoping for the 80's building since I LOVE the 80's but the 70's was equally as great!
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession005.jpg
Here are some pictures of all the cute things at the resort!

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession104.jpg
How cute is this place!! Oh and I saw this in the window of one of the rooms. Some of the rooms had little 70's themed toys in the windows.
Who remembers these!!! I had this one!
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession123.jpg
The room was really cute and I immediately turned on the tv to see Stacy!! You have to love her!
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession098.jpg
Well we were tired so we put on our bathing suits and went down to get some food in the food court. We planned on going swimming after we ate. I was looking at all the selections and saw the parmesan crusted chicken which was one of the entrees I would be tasting at my PS so I thought I would give it a try. My mom, aunt and cousin all got salads.
Ok....drumroll....drrrrrrrrrrr
MY VERY FIRST FOOD PORN PIC!!! My parm crusted chicken!
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession106.jpg
My mom's salad...
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession107.jpg
and what was left of my cousin and aunt's salad. My aunt made her picture artistic by placing the red tomatoe in a nice position from her half eaten bread stick...LOL.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession109.jpg
The parm chicken was great and I couldnt wait to see what it would taste like at the PS.
So after that we headed down to the hippy dippy pool for a dippy.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession113.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession111.jpg
I love palm trees!!!
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession115.jpg
The pool was really nice and very refreshing after the 19 hour train ride! So after the pool we bought our hoppers and went back to the room and played Scattergories.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession002.jpg
Yay for Scattergories!
I won so that was fun!...lol.
After Scattergories I called Bobby (my DF) to say good night and he was being cranky because he was hot in Jersey. Here is my angry face after getting off the phone...I made a fist like I was going to punch him which I would have done if he were in front of me...lol. JK..or am I??? :rotfl:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession001.jpg
Well that is the end of the first two days of my PS trip. I hope I did a good job but it will just get better!!
NEXT UP....DAY 3...EPCOT!!!!!!!!

Toni! I was waiting for you to post and get back!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad you had a good time... my MOH is riding the Amtrak down from Richmond to the wedding... she is dreading the train ride, but her bf will be with her, so that's okay, but she is not going to like it! I'll send her a Yeti pillow to make it better! ;)
Can't wait to read the rest!

Toni, I hate traveling too, but I would really hate traveling if it took me nineteen hours to get somewhere! I don't know how you did it!
It looks like things got *much* better once you arrived! That parmesan crusted chicken alone must have made it worth it!
And I have to admit, I got a little teary-eyed when I saw the Disney exit signs (We're here! We're here!).

Wow! :worship: You are a better person than I am--lots of self control. I think I would have hurt someone if I had to ride coach on a train for that long!! I've traveled by train once from MN to D.C. We at least had a sleeper car, but even then I was on the brink of losing my mind!!! :rotfl:
Although...I think I would probably make that sacrifice for Disney, too.
Oh!! P.S. I am 99% sure I will be wearing the same dress you bought for your at home reception!!

Well one bright point is she wont have to go the entire way since she is starting off from Virginia but it will still be LONG!!!! I hope she makes it ok!

I don't know how I did it either but last night I had a train nightmare! :lmao: The Parm Chicken did help!! It was super good!!! The pool wasn't bad either. That kind of soothed my sore muscles! Those signs always make me happy!!

I thought I was going to lose my mind and start jumping off the train :rotfl: If it wasn't for my DF calming me down I don't know what might have happened! I think it would have been better in a sleeper car but I would have gone crazy still. That is great you will have the same dress!!! Its actually very light on and comfortable as opposed to my poofy Disney dress and a lot cheaper!!!!

The hippy dippy pool is the best!! Everytime I have gone in it the water has been the perfect temperature...:thumbsup2 Are the pictures that you brought with you of wedding stuff, like flowers, etc ones you got from Disney or did you print those off yourself from the internet?? Just curious...

The Hippy Dippy Pool was great! There was an "incident" that happened during the week that I will report on regarding the Hippy Pool! I actually did print all those pictures out and let me tell you it was the best thing I ever did. When Rose asked me about what I was thinking of for certain things I kept saying "Well actually I happen to have a picture" then she showed me a similar picture she had and we decided that way. To any brides that haven't been at there planning session yet...PRINT OUT PICTURES!!!! They are valuable! :cutie:

I don't know but apparently I did although I kept waking up every 10 minutes. That chicken was yummy but it was even more yummy at my tasting. Yes I do have a pink chocolate phone! You have one too right? I actually hate it because it calls up random people if I just brush against it. But I am stuck with it until November. :(

Day 3 EPCOT!! :cool1:
Ok well day 3 was great because I actually got to go to a park!!!
First, let me start by saying that on this trip I really did not see much. My cousin that came thought she was going to a beauty pagent and took 2 hours every day to get ready. It was crazy. So if you don't see that I did as much as people usually do, now you know why.
Ok well first we laid by the hippy dippy pool in the morning and relaxed just a bit. I worked on my tan and went for a dip in the pool which was a nice way to start the day.
After the pool we all went back to the room to get ready. This took forever!! So me and my Aunt were all ready and while we waited we decided to take pictures around the resort.
This is the sign that I put in the window!!

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession004.jpg
As you can see I got a lanyard to collect pins so that I can try and beat Lynn's Tim with his Donald pins but, I only got 4 :worried: Oh well it was still fun!!!
Ok so here are some of the pictures my Aunt took while we waited for my mom and cousin.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession015-1.jpg
I LOVE DUCKS!!!!!
Ok well finally my cousin and mom were ready to go (it took 3 hours!!)
We went down to the front of the resort and waited for our bus which actually didn't take long at all. Here are some bus shots!
This is me, my aunt and my cousin

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession022.jpg

DAY 3 Continued.....
Ok so next we went on Journey into the Imagination. Figment is so cute. This is another one of my favorite rides and, like many, I can't help but sing the song out loud.

Everybody....IMAGINATION...IMAGINATION :dance3:
After the ride we went and played with all the computers and fun toys they have. I went on that computer thing that takes your picture and you can make funny things out of your pictures. Here is what I came up with. I think I like the seal the best.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession097.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession105.jpg
We had a lot of fun. Then it was off to Honey I Shrunk the Audience
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession040.jpg
This is so much fun to go see when you are with someone who has never seen it. My cousin has never seen it and let me tell you she jumped so many times especially the scene with the mice. I always have my feet way up on my seat for that because it bugs me out!!! :rotfl:
So after all the Imagination fun we got really hungry and decided to stroll over to The Land.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession114.jpg
I think this is the best place to eat lunch in Epcot since there are many choices. I decided to go Chinese. This was so yummy it was sweet and sour chicken. Spicy Pork, rice and Lo Mein.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession124.jpg
I also got some yummy strawberries!!! I didn't get a picture of those though because I ate them up fast.
After we were nice and full we decided to go to Mexico and go on my favorite ride!!! Of course this is my favorite because it has Donald Duck all over it. On our way to Mexico I stopped to take a picture with my boy in plant form.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession151.jpg

After small world we decided to get on the Haunted Mansion.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/PlanningSession177.jpg
I had fun on here as I usually do. The last few times I have been on this was with people who have never been on it so I was making spooky noises and hitting the car my cousin was in which scared her to death...mwahhhaaa!! :stir:
Everyone got tired, well not me, but they all decided to go back to the room and go to the Magic Kingdom another day. It was fine because I had to rest up that night because the next day was MY PLANNING SESSION!! :hyper:

Sounds like you had a fabulous time so far! We usually travel in packs to disney (like 12 or 13 people) so I totally get waiting around. I always feel like we are waiting for SOMEONE. I can't wait to hear about our planning session.

It was a lot of fun. I usually go every time in packs so I should be used to it but this time was worse! Bobby said that he loves that everyone will be there for part of our honeymoon but he isn't waiting around for anyone!

Ok so as I said above today is me and Bobby's 1 year anniversary!!!
I was sleeping and all of a sudden this person was kissing me. I thought it was my mom or something and I was thinking umm why is my mom kissing me but when I opened my eyes it was my Bobby!!!!
Bobby came to my house early and apparently cooked me this big breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, orange juice and coffee. I was so surprised!!! He has to work late tonight so I won't see him and he said he had to do something for me. He also had a card all set out by my plate which said the sweetest things. Like if someone told him a year ago that this time next year you would be engaged he wouldn't have believed it. Aww..well I guess thats not the mushiest part of the card but I feel the same way!!
He is a good guy!!! I feel lucky!!!! Just wanted to share. :cutie:

Toni,
I just looked back at your TR and it looks like we missed each other by hours. We got picked up at Pop at 3:15 for ME on June 7. If we hadn't switched our flight to an earlier time, we probably would have run into each other.

YAY!! Awesome installment!! :yay: :woohoo: What fun! O-M-G, though! I would NEVER waste even half an hour waiting for someone to be ready to leave for the parks. You can bet I'd say "we're walking out the door to the bus stop at x o'clock. If you don't want to go when we go, we'll hook up by cell phone when you get there. Just call us." Ha! We MAY have to give you lessons in how to do that, sweetie! :thumbsup2
ETA: What a sweetheart Bobby is to have come over to cook you breakfast! Save that card! (oh, and don't store it in your balcony storage closet that has an unknown leak that could ruin all your long-saved relationship chronicles. :sad1:  )
