Second BEO (I am sticking to this one)!!!
Ok so I am going to post my second BEO. This includes floral as well. I am also putting in the other vendors I have because this may help somebody else to see everything all together NOT JUST DISNEY. This is a VERY DETAILED BEO..lol. I know that most of the Disney Brides here that have signed their contracts already pretty much know what packages include, etc. but some girls here are not at that stage where they can get a detailed description of things so that is why I included so much detail to help them out much better than just posting prices. This way they can see exaclty what I am getting for the price. I am happy with the BEO and I am sticking to this one.

Toni,
Your BEO looks great...I have a question about the food. The antipasto display with breadsticks..is that included in the buffet that you got? Or do you have to pay extra for that? Just curious....I am glad that you got everything that you want...I agree, when are you going to have another chance to do this? You might as well do it and get what you want!!! :)

The Antipasto display is included with that particular menu as well as the spanikopitas which were SOOOOOOOOOOO good and the crab cakes. The only thing that I changed on the menu was there was this corn and bean salad which was so gross! so I changed it to the tomato and mozzarella dish. Oh and I also cut out the desserts because I am having a dessert party and I din't want people on dessert overload!

Well I think they are kind of like those glowing ice cubes they give you in drinks. I think mine are going to be pink. They do have electric votives for outdoor locations and I guess they use them indoors too but these are those glowing neon colored ice cubes..lol. I think, from what I have seen that they really are ice cubes but they will be hidden in the marbles of the centerpieces so you won't actually see them but you will just see the glowing light.

Aww that is really sweet! I hope they are. That is my goal. I want to make it a magical experience not only for me and the DF but everyone coming. I figure they are coming all that way to my wedding I might as well make it memorable.
The cool thing is that they have all been to Disney before but DF's family never experienced much of anything (don't know how that happened!) so this will be exciting for them :)

Then I thought I would share the Blurb book I made. on blurb.com. I did it with our dating pictures, engagement pictures and then I put in some comments that he used to leave for me on my Myspace page when we first started dating.

Well that is about it. Nothing much going on. I should be getting my invitations next week so I will be sure to post them.
I was going to use the Martha Stewart ones but I decided to keep them for my at home reception and get some made for Disney. I will be using the cute little envelope wrap thing that Martha Stewart has too...well you will see what I mean. Its confusing...lol. I will be sure to post them as soon as I get them.
Until then.....

Well actually I got the crystals from Michaels to put on my invites. They already have a sticky glue on the back of them. It really sticks pretty well although I am not sure if it will last too long. It should be ok for the day though. If not, its ok if they fall off, nobody will see it.....:rotfl: I would say if you were using glue, to use the tiniest dot of glue you can.

New Jersey Reception details
Well as most of you know, I am having an at home reception here in Jersey on March 28th. Bobby's mom is doing this for us and its for everyone that cannot come to Disney. There will be about 150 people. It will be a lot of fun!
Today we went to the caterer to book. They will do everything for us. They supply the food, drinks, bar, centerpieces, linen, china and cake. This makes everything so much easier.
Bobby has a DJ already hired. The DJ will be playing our ceremony on two plasma televisions. So everyone there will get to see the entire ceremony. Then after the ceremony, the DJ will announce us and we will come in so it will be like they saw the ceremony and now its time for the reception. Also during dinner we will have pictures of the wedding flashing on the screens.
I got to pick out my colors for the flowers and linens. Since I am doing pink everything in Disney, for NJ I wanted to change it up.
Here are my New Jersey colors:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/ff.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/ffdafd.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/f-1.jpg
Totally different than my Disney colors!!!!
Here are the flowers for the centerpieces:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/nmn.jpg
and here is the New Jersey cake!
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff026.jpg
The cake picture isn't that good because its a picture of a picture..:rotfl:
That is pretty much it for that. We also booked my shower location but I will save that info for later. ;)

The Blurb book turned out great, have you thought about doing something like that for your guestbook? We made a photobook through Shutterfly that we used.
Just catching up on some things, your BEO looks pretty good, especially when you're getting everything that you wanted. We spent around that amount. We had a few more guests (50) but we ended up having to have a brunch and we didn't get such great treats at the dessert party. The desserts sounds great!

I was actually thinking of making one. I am going back and forth between that and a picture frame signature mat. I figured I still had a little time to think about it. I love the book idea though. That is great to have your BEO around mine with that many people!! Your wedding was amazing!!!!!! I am thinking of adding the MGM..I mean HS photo shoot because I loved your pics!!! Did you get to pick where you had the photos?? I would love to do some by the Star Tours ride.

Invitations Came In!!
Wow I have really been cranking out some updates lately. There just seems to be so much going on right now but I am sure it will all level out soon until the wedding gets even closer. Time is starting to fly by. If only it would go just a tiny bit faster I would be happier but I can't complain. I mean look w are already close to the middle of August and Summer is almost over!!!
Anyway, I got my invitations today. I love them. I think they fit my shabby chic theme really well and I am very happy with the results. I ordered them from www.weddingpaperdivas.com. This is a great site to really personalize your invitations. You can get pretty much anything printed up on these things. They come in super fast and they have great customer service. I highly recommend them!!
Here is the whole collection (bad picture..sorry)
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff035.jpg
Ok the writing in the following pictures is a little blurry. They came from my online proofing so they aren't the best quality pictures.
Invitation

Reception Card

Transportation Schedule Card
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/transport.jpg
Now this part I am using from the Martha Stewart Invitations that I bought before that I am using for the New Jersey Reception. I have extra so just using this cute wrap won't matter. So the invites and cards will be put inside this pretty invitation wrap.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff051.jpg
I also got matching thank you cards.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/thankyou.jpg
I wish the pictures were a little better but that was the best I could do. I am so excited about my invitations. I think they will give people an idea of the theme of my wedding and what's to come!
That's all for now! :thumbsup2

Thanks! Yeah I wasn't going to have 4 hotels but FMIL wanted to stay in the cabins instead of the resorts I picked out so I added that for her. Which is good because now my Disboard twin Christina is staying in the wilderness cabins!!!

I hear ya sista!! I am stressed beyond belief and have not been able to make one decision this week because my brain is too full. I have sat at the computer every night trying to plan and decide on things and have got nowhere because my mind is totally mushed.
My advice is take a break from it, you have done lots already and have still got plenty of time. Take some time to enjoy normal life stuff and enjoy the fact you've got a wedding coming soon - otherwise it will appear so quick and you wont have time to cherish the lead up to it

Toni,
Hey girl!! Just got caught up on your PJ!! I know I haven't been online in a while, but I love all your updates. The donald and daisy for your cake table are so cute!! I also love the blurb book. Did the website that you mentioned tell you how to do it?? I would like to do something like that, but don't have enough faith in my abilities I guess! :lmao: I also love your invitations, they look so good!! Just a question about those though, I noticed that you didn't include anything in them about your DP. Will they just go to that straight from the reception? Just curious how people will know what time to be picked up and all that for the DP. I am several update for my PJ, and I have been so busy, I haven't even been on. :scared1: Talk to you soon.

Thank you!!! The blurb website www.blurb.com has a program that you download onto your computer. You load up your pictures on the program and it takes you step by step and makes it very easy to make a book. I was surprised at how easy it really was!
On the invitations, the DP is a surprise so I didn't want any of the guests to know. I have the DP starting at 8pm and our reception ends at 7:30 so right from the reception everyone will load up on the buses thing they are going back to their resort but they are really going to the DP! Thanks!! I love being sneaky. What is really nice is that the people going to the wedding, with the exception of my parents, never really experienced Disney. They have been to Disney but they have never watched the fireworks, been on the great rides, etc. Don't know why but they never have. So this is going to be a really amazing experience for them. :goodvibes

oh toni! i don't know what to do now! i have just read your planning journal and it has confused me so much! everything you have chosen looks wonderful
i have been swapping and changing my ideas for ages between and SBP wedding and a wedding through the swan hotel. i have been trying to figure out what we would want so when dbf finally asks me we will be already saving and that way we can book it sooner.
our wedding would only be about 15 people including us so after looking at your BEO( i thought those are some of the things we would want- donald and all!) i thought a dftw could work financially.
my heart wants the whole dftw but my head says the swan could be better financially. we are coming from the uk so it means we have extra costs involved and would be paying for the wedding ourselves!
serious dilemma going on in my head

Aww I think you can do it! I went wayy overboard with my wedding. I think my wedding is costing me somewhere around what someone with 100 people are paying...:rotfl: If you do an escape wedding the minimum is 4500.00 and Donald is about 800 so if you can do that it may be worth the money to be able to get married in Disney instead of near Disney and you get that whole Disney Magic. I think the Swan is beautiful too though! Maybe you can do a Swan wedding and then have a character dinner after the wedding? That way you can have your swan ceremony and still have a bit of Disney with the characters. :thumbsup2

Bridal Shower Information and Photo Session
Well I am back from my short break. I feel so good now. I highly recommend stepping away from planning to get a breather because when you get back to it you have such a clear head and are ready to go!
Anyway, I just thought I would give two updates.
The first is that along with the MK photo session we booked the Hollywood Studios photo session. I figured that if I am already paying $1,000.00 for the MK session I might as well throw in an extra $300.00 and get two parks. I love the different places you can take the pictures in Hollywood Studios. I want to see if they will let us get pictures at the Star Tours area since DF and I are Star Wars fans. We shall see.
Also, my FMIL is planning my Bridal Shower. Yes, I am one of those brides that know about her shower :lmao: I am glad because I am a control freak and I really like to have input on things so this makes me feel better.
Anyway, I thought I would share the details with everyone.
The shower will take place on January 10, 2009 at a country club in the next town over from me.
Here is a picture of the room we have. Its a black and white picture. It was the only one I could find. It has windows all around which overlook the golf course. Very pretty room. I chose the color rose for the linens because it matches the wallpaper and carpet....:lmao: Yes I am anal. Sorry.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/http___wwwblacksheeppublishing.jpg
It will be a brunch. Here is the menu. Hope you guys don't get hungry!!
Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Baked Ham with Fruit Glaze, Breaded Chicken Cutlet with Supreme Sauce, Italian Vegetable Medley, String Beans Almondine, Oven Roasted Red Skin Potatoes, fruit, fruit tarts, mini danish, mini muffins, bages, breads, jellies, marmalade, cream cheese, fruit juices, coffee and tea and of course, the shower cake!!!
Ok that made me hungry :rotfl:
Here is the invitation.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/getimagephp.jpg
We didn't pick out the centerpieces yet or the favors. I think the favors may be ice cream scoops wrapped in tulle with some kind of candy inside the scoop. Not sure. The centerpieces will be some sort of fruit or candy creation. I will be sure to take pictures though. Well that is about all for now. I should have more updates shortly. I bought a bunch of stuff from Advantage Bridal that I will show off but I didn't get it yet so that is for next time.
Until then, TTFN!

5 More months and more updates
Well I am 5 months out, well as I write this at 11:43 at night I am a little short of 5 months but I am only off by 15 minutes so we will let that go. I am so excited because I have felt that time has been going by so slow but now time seems to be flying by. I think that when the holidays roll around it will sail on by. I can't wait until February!!
So I have some random updates with pictures I thought I would share. I bought some stuff from Advantage Bridal.
Here is the purse that I got to carry.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff086.jpg
I love this bag because I think it is very similar to the bodice of my gown. Here is a picture of the details on my gown.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff068.jpg
and here are the details on the purse
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff088.jpg
I also purchased this Hanky. I thought it was really cute. I believe Disneyfairy19 (Christina) also got one.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff063.jpg
I bought this signature picture frame to use as a guest book.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/101-0302.jpg
After buying this I was informed by my Aunt (the one that went to the PS with me) that she wanted to buy me the guestbook, pen and hanky in Francks.
Here is a picture (I stole this from Lurkyloo..Thanks Carrie..lol)
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/IMG_4555.jpg
So if she does that then I will use the picture frame for our at home reception and the guest book for Disney. I have to admit that I am not fond of guest books. I just envision the book being tossed in a drawer somewhere or just collecting dust but she is offering and I feel bad saying no. It is really pretty.
I also bought a white hoodie for the honeymoon and this is the back of it.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff066.jpg
Its really cute. It came out very nice.
Now most of you have seen the picture of my MOH's dress that I posted.
It was hard to see the details of the dress so I thought I would do a close up.
Here is the dress just hanging on the door waiting to be worn.

Here is a closeup of the top.

Thanks for posting the pick of the stuff at Franck's! That helps me know that I need to hold out until my PS to buy those type of things.

I like both sets of purse, hanky, GB. So hard to choose which one! I agree with you about the GB just being tossed in a drawer somewhere, but if someone offers to buy one... At least you will have the chance to use both!
Also, I think it is cool that your shower will be at the Buena Vista Country Club, and WDW is in Lake Buena Vista. I am such a dork...
Can't wait to read more! It's getting closer!

Thank you!!! Francks did have some beautiful things there!!! I stole that picture from Lurkyloo because I was so excited to be there I forgot to take pictures..lol The boo'ed thing is something that you get PM'd with. Somebody sends you a PM and says that you have been boo'ed then if you have you put the bouncing Mickey pumpkin in your signature. Its something for Halloween. This is my first year so I was surprised!!

Yeah That is what I figured. I am fine with using it and I can use both so I didn't waste any money there!
You know I never made the connection with the Buena Vista Country club and Lake Buena Vista!!! That is really cool!!!! I am disney themed all over!

New Program design and possible hairstyles
I need a vote!
I thought I would share a new design for my programs I played around with. I think I am feeling this one a bit more. It stands out better than the silver did. It still has that antique shabby chic feel I am going after. I made them using 8 1/2 x 11 vellum on the inside. I set the page settings to landscape and created two columns. Then I typed the information. The outside is on 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock that I bought from Michaels. This is the same stuff I used on the prior programs I made. I also did the page settings landscape and created two columns. The cardstock is actually double-sided. It is light pink on one side and dark pink on the other. I used a sheer ribbon to tie them and a small whole punch to make the holes. I punched the holes right at the end of the paper in two places while it was folded together.
Here are my materials.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/wedding023.jpg
Here is the finished product. If you can't read the quote on the front cover it is just a line from A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes which is the song I am walking down the Aisle too. It says "Have faith in your dreams and someday your rainbow will come smiling through.....".

Well those are the programs. I think I am sticking with this design. Unless of course I dwell on them more and come up with something else....:lmao:
On to hair...
So I have decided to put my hair up. It looked nice with my hair down but I have always pictured myself with my hair up so that is what I am going for. I have some pictures and I can't decide which I like better. I have plenty of time to figure it out but I thought I would share the pictures and get everyone else's input.

Well those are the possible hair styles. I feel like I am leaning toward #1. I have a big forehead (or so I think) so I think bangs may help. Any thoughts?

I have been tossing around different styles and I think I remember liking your old one and going to Michaels to purchase some supplies. I purchased velum paper but could not get it to go through my printer. I have a new printer at work so I might try there.
Also, as far as the front of the program goes, is that a stamp that you used around your names or is it clipart. I tried using clipart and it kept throwing off my centering.
Thanks,
Linda

With the Vellum it should go through the printer. I actually had to kind of push it through and give it a "boost" for the printer to grab it.
The stamp I used on the original program was made by Martha Stewart. I her silver ink stamp then she sells these plastic pieces to put on the stamp so you can make any design you want. You have to buy the stamp seperatly then you can buy the pieces.
I found them online!
This is the exact stamp pieces that I used.
http://www.marthastewartcrafts.com/detail.php?p=58567
This is the stamp you have to buy to attach those pieces above.
http://www.marthastewartcrafts.com/detail.php?p=20012&v=msc_prod_tool_stamps
and this was the ink.
http://www.marthastewartcrafts.com/detail.php?p=20014&v=msc_prod_tool_stamps
They have lots of different colors. You can either buy them online at the above links or Michaels has all of it in their scrapbooking section.
ETA: The latest program I made is actually clipart that I found but it took me forever to center it just right! I think the stamps were easier!
I hope that helps!! :thumbsup2

My Fabulous Matron of Honor and Dress issues :scared1:
Well tonight my Matron of Honor (my cousin/best friend :goodvibes:) came over to see her dress for the first time. She tried it on and we couldn't get the zipper all the way up but it was her size. So anyway we did get it up but the dress wasn't hanging right. This dress has a silk lining and chiffon on top so it is kind of see through. Anyway, it was kind of bunchy and some parts weren't laying like they should so my mom and aunt looked at the lining and the thing was backwards!!!!!!!! The seams were facing out and you could see the seams through the chiffon. Its hard to explain but its kind of like if you wore something inside out and you can see the seams. I was so annoyed with David's Bridal. So tomorrow we are going to DB to see what they can do. Its obviously a manufacturer defect. Very annoying but she loved her dress and she looked great in it! I took pictures to share!

MOH DRESS UPDATE!
Well today we went to David's Bridal to try and fix the MOH dress. Ok so the dress has a chiffon see-thru overlay and you can see everything under the dress. We went there telling them that the seams were on the wrong side of the dress AND on top of it, I found out the top of the dress was completely ripped. Ughh. So we go there and they told us that that is how the dress was supposed to be with the seams! What?! You could see them through the dress. I was not feeling it, my MOH wasn't feeling it and my mom and aunt weren't either. So the DB girl was going to order a new dress for my MOH that wasn't ripped..lol. Well we went and looked at the dresses and my MOH was not feeling this dress anymore because the seams made it look lumpy and it didn't sit right. So right next to it we saw a really cute dress that was the same price so my mom (the tough one) asked the girl if we could get a different dress instead and the DB girl said Well you know we can't keep exchanging dresses. What? We only brought the one dress back one time what are you talking about, but she said we could as long as it was the same price range. So my MOH tried on the dress and it looked beautiful on her!!! I love this dress MUCHHHHH better. I don't have a picture of her in it but I have the pic off of David's Bridal. Its the same color as the other dress.

The programs look like they turned out great. I love the ribbon and the simply design. We went overboard on ours and it took way to long to put them together; you seem like you found a perfect balance. I think the dedication to your lost loved ones is a nice touch too.
I just had to comment on the curio cabinet someone posted a few pages back. DH and I have a small one in our livingroom too and its been quite a conversation piece with our guests. Various updates with pictures and 4 months away!
Well I have some various updates to share and this is also a post for myself because I feel the need to organize my thoughts. I am now exactly 4 months out (well in about a 1/2 hour I will be) and this puts more pressure on me. It is all really starting to fly by now. I can't believe how much closer its getting.
Today I spent a while talking to Stan from STVS Video. My original package was a 4 hour intimate plus. I am not having an intimate wedding obviously but at the time I was not doing any dances or things like that. Well now that my guest list is up to 38 that has changed and we decided to do the whole show. So DF and I called up Stan who I have to say is the sweetest most helpful man ever as well as his wife! He called me back right away, his wife responded to my emails fast so if you haven't secured your videographer yet I highly recommend him! Anyway, we decided, or I should say DF decided we should get Stan for the entire day. So we discussed packages and options with Stan and now our package went from a low price of $1620.00 to the fabulous price of $3500.00. :lmao: Here is what we decided on:
~8 Hours of coverage, starting 1 hour before the ceremony
~A Webcast of our ceremony (loving this!)
~Video shot in HD with 3 DVDs/Blu-Ray Discs
~A Courtship Story. They will interview us on how we met, dating, proposal, etc. then Bobby had the idea, since he videotaped the proposal, to see if Stan could incorporate it into this portion of the video and Stan can! It will be awesome! I can't wait to see it all together.
~Then I have the Fairytale Book opening which you can see a sample of on his website. Its really cute. I figure you are getting married in Disney, might as well play up the fairytale theme!
I am really happy with this change. It will be great to have this all documented! I can't believe DF agreed to this.
Ok so now I have been thinking about my crinoline that I bought and I have to say it doesn't feel poofy enough for me. I have always imagined a big poofy dress and that is what I am going for so here is a picture of my poor little crinoline sitting on a bed in our storage room.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff056.jpg
Poor crinoline doesn't realize it will soon be replaced. :rotfl:
I bought a new crinnie on Ebay. It is a 4 hoop super full crinoline. That was the actual description so I am hoping it lives up to its name. I was not sure about the hoops all I could picture was the dress flooping up into my face when I sat down but I thought I would give it a whirl. Here is a picture of the new poofy crinnie.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/superslipgallery.jpg
I will post pictures with my dress with the new crinnie to get your opinions.
Ok so tonight I was bored and felt like I was a little unorganized in the wedding area so I thought I would put all my wedding junk together. Its so funny because when you start off planning you are so super organized but later down the road you are a total mess. So I took out all my stuff and got two plastic boxes to organize my chaos. Instead of organizing right away I played around with my program basket. Its a plain wicker basket that I found at Michaels for about $4.00 so I thought I would decorate it.
Before I post pictures I thought I would just share that my wedding is about as girly as you can get. The whole theme seems to be ribbons, bows, pink and roses so I thought I would mimic that in my basket decor.

So after I got that together I put everything in their boxes and organized as best as I could. Here is everything in its boxed up glory.
My Magic Kingdom/Hollywood Studios photoshoot bouquet stored safely in a Coach box!
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff039.jpg
All of my invitations and dodads I will be decorating them with. These are my shower and wedding invites. I was to lazy to edit the names, stalk me if you wish. I am not that exciting..:lmao:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff046.jpg
Here is the plastic box with all of my wedding favor supplies, the program basket, toasting glasses, knife and server, cake table decorations, silk bouquet and ribbons.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff053.jpg
and this is the box with my personal items I will be taking with me like my tiara, jewelry, bridal undies..lol, lingerie, mickey bride ears, just married pins, df's cufflinks, bridal purse..hmm and some other things.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff054.jpg
Here is the body bag a.k.a. my dress
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff055.jpg
I did mention ribbon before and I bought some off of the Knot that is personalized. I am going to use it along with some sheer ribbon I bought from Michaels for my favor boxes. I tried to get good pics but it didn't work out so well.
I bought white ribbon with black writing to go along with the silver sheer ribbon.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff017-1.jpg
and I bought the Azelea ribbon with silver writing to go with the light pink sheer ribbon.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff025.jpg
I have also had a tragedy. My beloved Donald Garter has perished. I don't know how I did it but I ripped it.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/weddingstuff052.jpg
I know that I could probably sew it back up, but this gave me an excellent reason to buy more stuff so I went on ebay and bought a brand new garter. I have to say that I like this one SOO much more!
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/77f1_1.jpg
In other news, I spoke with Rose, the florist, and upgraded to add chair covers to the SBP chairs. I hate those plastic chairs with a passion and needed to do something. Rose suggested I do silver sashes since I will have tons of pink already and I totally agreed. I am very excited I added them!!
This Saturday we MAY go look at tuxes but we have to see how that pans out. I am still on DF to do his stupid drawing so I can get the favors made but, he is a slacker. :headache: MEN!
Hmm..I guess this is all for now. Pretty long update but it helped me organize myself!

:scared1: Dress Crisis!!!!!!:scared1:
OMG I cannot believe this is happening 4 months before my wedding. David's Bridal called me and told me that the dress I ordered is no longer available. WHAT?! :scared1: Are you kidding me? How can you sell someone a dress, order it and then tell me its not available??? I am speechless. So they did give me my money back and wanted me to buy another dress there and I said uhh no. Don't think so. So now I am taking off of work tomorrow to go dress hunting. I have been searching online and I saw some Maggie Sottero dresses I like which happen to be available in a shop near my house but I am just beyond words with David's Bridal. I cannot understand how you can take someone's money, tell them you ordered their dress and then say oh its not available anymore. Blows my mind. I am hoping another shop can get the dress in time but I have a feeling it will be very tight. Ughhh. :sad2:

Toni I am a lurker on your pj...but wanted to stop in and say i am soooo sorry about your gown!!! I can't believe DB's could do this...I had a lot of problems with them for my wedding and ended up in a dispute with them through the better business bureau...it might not be a bad idea for you to report this to the company. If you already had your money, they should be held responsible for not getting your dress to you as promised. The money and receipt act as a contract. I would definitely report this incident to the bbb...I hope you find a dress tomorrow...keep us updated!!! :grouphug:

First I want to thank you all for your very sweet words. It is nice to know everyone cares and it made me feel so much better. So big hugs for all of you! :grouphug:
I did report them to the BBB. Not sure if anything will happen but at least they gave me my money back. So today I went to a small bridal shop in the next town over because I was looking at Maggie Sottero dresses online and they happened to carry them. Well I tried on some Maggie dresses but they didn't have the ones I was looking at but they found some something similar to what I wanted in another designer. So I got a new gown that I am sooooo excited about. I have to say that I adore this dress so much more than the other one. I am actually kind of happy this happened because I am totally in love with this dress!!!! :lovestruc I had to get it rush ordered and it will be in on December 29th the day before my birthday! :yay:
Hopefully these pictures will work. They are the best ones I could find.

Aww thanks!!! I still can't believe it happened either. You would think a big company like David's would have their act together. I am suspecting that someone may have forgotten to order the dress then when they finally did there were no more available. They told me it was discontinued at the store but they still had some available.

The updates keep coming!!
So I have more updates. I found a closer picture of the top of my dress I just thought I would share with you all.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/final.jpg
So I was chatting with my mom today and she didn't think the jewelry that I had (for my prior dress) was going to work with this one. The jewelry I had was very busy and there is so much going on with the top of this gown she though I needed something more simple so I went on a jewelry search and ended up with this set:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/JN-606-2.jpg
I think this will work. I am debating wearing a bracelet. I normally don't wear bracelets but I am still thinking about it.
So I FINALLY have a hairstyle!!!! It took me 8 months and about 100 pictures to finally decide but I think this will be the style that suits me the best.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/hero_4.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/hero_1.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/Hero_5.jpg
I love this hairstyle. I am sure Ana can pull this off. I want it as much as the picture as I can get it. I have a lot of hair so I am expecting it to be that big and messy...LOL. I am sure she will do great work.
I WAS going to do the whole tiara thing but after this hairstyle and my dress I don't think it will go as well. Mostly with the dress. I am sure the tiara can go with the hair. So anyway, I really liked the little beaded pins the model had in her hair so I bought some. They came in a set of 12 so I thought I would let my MOH wear some too.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/TP-272-prod-450.jpg
I bought some shoes that are shorter because my DF and I are the same height pretty much and I don't want to tower over him in pictures so I got these shoes with a 1 inch heel.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/ANDIE.jpg
Then I realized that I didn't have a money/card bag so I bought one of those too!
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/131-2732.jpg
I had some shirts made for the honeymoon also but I don't have pictures of them yet since they are not in yet but as soon as I get pictures I will post them. That is all the updates I have for now! :lovestruc

I have called davids several times to ask about what sizes they carry and on what ones come in the biggest size. everytime i get a rude person who tells me that they dont dome in huge sizes and that i need to shop online for them sdont come into a store that they cant help me . makes me want to just forget about a dress and just find a white outfit...

So sorry for what you had to go thru but you found a gorgous dress that will be stunning on you.. and love that hair style and everythign else will be beautiful with the dress.
Again your choices are exqusit and you sill look stunning.
See that is just messed up that they are like that. I mean they are dealing with women that are really excited and happy, doing something that they have dreamed of for so long and they have to be all mean and nasty. I am sorry you had to deal with that.
Wow, love the updates! Can't wait to see everything come together!
Thanks!!!! Its coming soon for both of us!
Congratulations on finding such a BEAUTIFUL dress!
and beautiful Jewelry, Shoes, & Purse!
Everything is Beautiful and you ill be Beautiful in them...
and that hair style is perfect with that dress and I LOVE hair jewelry.
I can't wait to see your wedding pictures. :yay:
Thank you so much!!! :lovestruc

Awww thanks!!! I can't wait to see what the hair will look like.
Beautiful dress and love the hair! I was actually looking at that dress for myself online... how much is it if you don't mind me asking?
Thank you!!!! I got it for 1200.00 but I think I have seen it cheaper online, which I would have done but I ran out of time and I was worried if I ordered it, it wouldn't have come in on time.

Sorry about the dress disaster, Toni! Weren't you getting two dresses from DB, one for the wedding and one for the at-home reception? Will you still have the same reception dress?
Oh and that's the same hairstyle sample I showed Ana, so she can definitely do it.

It was all from a basket?
Yes! It did. I will explain the title.
So, as you all know, I am doing this whole Shabby Chic theme. I am having fun with it! So anyway, I was on Ebay and I typed in Shabby Chic and I ran across a basket. It was a Laura Ashley/Shabby Chic basket and I thought it was really cute. The best part was that it was cheap! So I said..hmm if I just added some ribbon to it or maybe even nothing its a cute basket. Maybe I can use THAT for my programs. So I bought it.
Here is the basket:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/abask2.jpg
Ok so this basket is perfect for a Shabby Chic wedding (the chic part of the wedding is the carriage and my dress..LOL).
Anywho, I was looking at the basket's liner and noticed the green leaves next to the roses which is typical but I think the reason I noticed it is because I thought it looked perfect next to the pink roses. I originally had silver to go along with the pink to break it up because I couldn't think of another color to really go but then I saw the green and I did this...
HAHA!
Ok so I said (I really did say this out loud) hey what if I took everything that was supposed to be silver and did it in a sagey greenish color. Sagey Greenish; that is a technical term.
I went on to say, then the Best Man and my dad can wear the sagey greenish vests and ties and all the table clothes and bows and such that were supposed to be silver can now be sagey greenish! Fantastic!
So I emailed Rose, who is probably totally sick of hearing from me, and told her about my idea. So these are the colors I want to go with now. The REAL TECHNICAL color of the green is PERIDOT per David's Bridal/MW Tux.
Here are the colors:
Azalea, Rose pink, Peridot, Blush Pink
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/fhjdhf.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/rosepetal-1.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/peridot.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/pearlpink-2.jpg
I think the green really sets off the Shabby Chicness I am longing for. :lovestruc
I told Rose that I think the chair covers should be like this now instead of the silver bows we had before.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/yhst-76425617896115_2021_35185630.jpg
Yes. Yes. Me Likes!
I am still going to have touches of the silver like my silver confetti which will be mixed among the rose petals on tables and this little item I just purchased from Lenox.
This will be for our head table.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/770397_wHR.jpg
So that is about all. To think that this all started from a silly little basket. :rotfl:

Gorgeous, Toni! Any professional designer would say that when you find one fabulous piece that you absolutely love, it will inspire your whole "look" (a friend who consulted with a professional wedding designer, in addition to her planner, told me this). YAY! for finding the basket!

:groom: Groom/Groomsmen tuxes
So today we went to Mens Warehouse for tuxes. I had them put in the computer that we will be picking them up at the Winter Garden Mens Warehouse so its nice to know we don't have to lug them down to Florida.
Here are the tuxes. They are for my DF, the BM and my dad.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/8800_SS_F06_DF_v4_m5657756983053024.jpg
I matched up all the greens to my cousins dress color azalea and sage green looked the best.
Oh and that Mr. and Mrs. Lenox sign that I previously posted, well I got it in the mail Friday. It said Mr. and Mr. The "S" was broken. Not cool. So I have to send it back. It really was not packaged too well. I was surprised but it came pretty fast so I will just get a new one. Hopefully it will not arrive broken. :lmao:

Honeymoon T-Shirts and Rehearsal/Tea Party Dress
Just a few updates.

They came out really nice. I can't wait to wear them!!
I also bought my rehearsal/tea party dress from Ann Taylor.
My rehearsal is February 1st at 10am and my tea party at the Grand Floridian is at 2pm. I am still deciding whether or not I want to wear a black hat (alla Audrey Hepburn). I saw some cute ones but I still need to think about it. I am telling everyone else on the invite that they can wear one so I guess I should..:lmao:
Anyway, here is the dress.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/Dancefever1978/225522_6600.jpg
I also bought a black cardigan in case its chilly but I didn't get that picture because I am sure we all know what a black cardigan looks like.
Ok and here is my random picture of the month...LOL. Not that I ever post random pictures of the month but it just sounded like a good title. :lmao:
This is Bobby reading our latest BEO and saying "I just don't understand why we need at $1,000.00 charter bus?" Umm Because Bobby..that's why!

Small Update
Ok so my basket is lost in transit. Ugh. Will it ever end. So in the event I cannot get that basket. I have put a bid on this one. It was $5.00. The auction ends November 2nd so I will know then. I think I want to add some sheer ribbon bows on either side of the handle. Maybe.
http://i8.ebayimg.com/04/i/001/17/2c/32a0_1.JPG
I like that it has a handle. The other doesn't. If I end up with both of them, I will use them in my closet for storage so really no biggie.
Also, I bought these cute candle holders for our head table. Also shabby chic!!
http://thmb.inkfrog.com/thumbn/cigmart34/39550.jpg=600
I love the crystals. I only got two because I have 4 square vase centerpieces on the table and I also have that broken Mr. and Mrs. sign which I sent back to get a new one.
