I know! I was scared to stand close to the rail. I have a fear of falling!

Another reason I liked this view is with my kids being a bit older, I can watch them in the pool.(of course the pool has life guards).Well you did a good job being able to take that picture.

I know! I was scared to stand close to the rail. I have a fear of falling!It's also a good thing you never dropped your camera, because that's something I would worry about if I was taking that type of picture.

You can see the WL, Poly and the Contemporary Resorts in the distance. Good views at night of the Spectromagic Parade and the fireworks at MK!!!

I'm so glad I found this - if you look straight across under the 4th floor balcony furthest to the left, you can see the balcony for our room last month, 3691. Brings back such nice memories :)

GREAT views, everyone! They're all so tranquil. I especially love the early morning sunrise views. Hard to believe you're right there "in the middle of the magic" when you see such peaceful views.

We ended up getting into Orlando one day early & couldn't add BC to our package, so we stayed at the Dolphin. Called while on our way down from TN & booked a standard room for $109/night....upon check-in got awesome upgrade of Epcot Illuminations view---what a way to start our very 1st stay!!! :cool1: (and yeah, I cried...:lovestruc) This is the 1st time of used Panarama/stitch feature on my Olympus, but I think it looks o.k.:thumbsup2

What an awesome view! I would have liked to stay in the Grand Villa for our trip this year but the sleeping arrangements didn't work out for it so we rented points for a 2-bedroom villa plus 2 studios with boardwalk view. Your pics have gotten me so excited for our trip!

Johnsonet- you've stayed in the most fabulous rooms/villas that are out there! Love it. My brother inlaw had the Admiral's Suite at the YC a couple of years ago and we spent some time up there. Another incredible view, I have to find those pix and post them-

Just so I have something to compare it to, does anyone have any balcony pics from Tuvalu? I've seen a few on the Poly FAQ thread, and am always looking for some more :goodvibes

lissiesmum, this isn't the best last year I walked all around the Poly, checking out patios and how many were blocked. Ours in Niue had a fabulous, wide-open yard in front of it, but many have just the space for the patio tiles and the chairs - and then shrubbery.

Anyway, when I walked thru Tuvalu, from the Marina side thru to the Luau side, this is what I saw to the right when I exited:

Wilderness Lodge 2 x bed Villa (Christmas 2008) - I can't remember the room number but we were just over half way down the end of the corridor - facing the back of the hotel towards the lake - woods view.
Not what I woulld call a great view but not unpleasant and better than a car park...!

We always had Giraffe in the savannah along with various cattle and deer type animals - and a very funny couple of large ducks that waited for the feeder to open the door in the mornings and then attacked him for their breakfast!!!

Yacht Club
It was our first stay to the Yacht Club. It was standard view, first floor, handicapped room. It was sooo very close to the lobby and pool. I would def. stay at this same room again. The only bad thing is that some of the lights were wired wrong. But thta didn't bother us.
We are going back to the Yacht Club in 18 days though! :woohoo:

Can someone tell me if this is technically considered a Garden View room since Narcoosees blocks the castle? I know the lower floors facing the same way are classified as Garden View, but wasn't sure as the floors get higher...

The room in the photo might be a tad further down the hall, but we had a room like that and it was definitely a GV b/c we had to change rooms and the CM met us and took us in the room. I asked if she was sure it was a GV and she said yes, but she had another room we might like better that was being cleaned. We kept that room in Boca Chica, then later stopped the other room she would have given us as housekeeping was still in there - wow, now that would have been a great upgrade as it was a corner room with 2 balconies, just down the hall.

Our room was the last room on the third floor in Boca Chica, facing Norcoosee's - it was an obstructed view, but we absolutely loved the room. Facing forward sitting on the balcony we could see the lagoon and the monorail gliding past, but it we sat to the right we could see the entrance to MK and the CR. It was fantastic during MNSCHP b/c we could watch the part wishes from our balcony. One of my favorite rooms ever.:thumbsup2

I really think Disney overdid it with the pine trees at WL - those things often block what could otherwise be a very nice view. We had one such view...love the Lodge anyway. :)

Good point! How come the dumpters are clear and free of even bushe?! :confused3 There is such a view on the side if the WL Villas not facing the lake, at the end of the building - I was sooo relieved we did not get that view! ::yes::

As an Architect, I can say I know the answer to this. Simply put, the trucks need free and clear access around the dumpster locations. Now this is now to say they couldn't have concealed it a bit better, however they can't make it difficult for trucks to maneuver. I've gotten caught before without given this much consideration on some of my past projects. ;)
