What rooms have king size beds at POR? Are they all in the mansions or are they located in both - anyone know what buildings? I'll be there in June for my honeymoon and we requested a king bed room (I think we got it b/c of the additional charge for the room) in the mansion section.

I've stayed in King bed rooms at POR twice, once in Mansions, Acadian Manor, upper floor. It wasn't a corner room, don't remember the number. Other time was first floor of building 17, corner room. Don't remember the room number but it was right next to the stairs next to the quiet pool (which wasn't "quiet"). Nice thing is-that's the only time we've ever had housekeeping leave towel animals. It was so nice, we even took pictures of the "creations".

I am bumping this... I just changed my standard ressie to a King at POR and I would love any input from those who have had Kings at POR!

I'm confused..we have a standard room, and requested a king (it's on our ressie paper thingamijig we got..requested, not guarenteed). You had to pya extra for your king request?

Depends on where you stay. At the moderates, to be guaranteed a King you have to pay $10-$15 extra. You can request it without paying, but it is not guaranteed.

Kings at the All Stars are no extra cost (but also not guaranteed) as well as at certain Deluxes.

Now I'm even more confused. I just called back, and asked if I could guarantee a king at POR and was told no, but that it was on my ressie, and if they have one, I would get it. She did tell me if I needed to have a trundle bed guaranteed it would be $15, unless I was already paying for a third adult. So I guess I'll take whatever I get.
