I was reading about the many things to sign up for at the spa and the European cellulite treatment sounded good. They advertise that you can lose up to 3-4 inches! Anyone have any good or bad experiences? or any other recommendations?
Thanks!

I don't know about the one on the Disney ship, but I have done a spa cellulite treatment in the past and had no inches lost.

I had done on 3/10. According to them, I lost 4.7 inches. I would say, It is OK. Would I spend that kind of money to do it again? NO! I can not say I could tell a difference in my clothes. Remember they are measuring about 10 different places. I was told my lose is on the high side. It is uncomfortable and not at all enjoyable. Like I said, would not do it again.

Thanks for the responses. I'd love MORE input if anyone has any. On one post, I saw that this treatment was not yet 'legal' in the states... Has anyone had a similar treatment in the states? I'd maybe like to try it in advance to see if I like the results before 'wasting' my precious on board time!
Thanks!

I would definitely choose a different spa treatment. The results were minimal. I was hooked up to some type of "electrodes" and then given a high pressure sales pitch for products. The most significant loss I expereinced were to my wallet.

This was horrible! They rub you down in liquid BILE and then electrocute you! Seriously- and they measure you all over- so you might lose 1/10" here and 1/5" there-. you might lost a total of 3 inches or so everywhere they measure. Then- if you don't buy the bile and other stuff- you will not be able to keep the inches off! Whatever- that is one treatment that I wished that I had seen it before I bought it! Oh well- lesson learned! I will stick with the massages.

Thanks for the responses. I think I'll skip the cellulite treatment. I don't want anyone measuring all my flab! Is there something to do at the spa that's really terrific?

I had the cellulite treatment a long time ago, on our first or second cruise...don't know if I lost any inches, as I got it free for being a demo person during the spa tour (the usual demo person hadn't shown up, so they asked for a volunteer). Since it was a freebie, they didn't do the measurements.
I have never had it since then...for detoxification, I much prefer the seaweed wrap/massage. It sweats you out really good, and it almost always puts me to sleep! They slather you in seaweed, then wrap you like a baked potato and top you off with a wonderful warm blanket. It is so cozy...the only bad part is when you have to shower off. But that is followed by a massage, so it's not so bad to leave the warm cocoon.
Ladies Night is also great...a mini Absolute Face & Body (massage and facial), followed by a foot massage and snacks & champagne in the Rain Forest.

I would never do it again. It was onlt slightly uncomfortable, and you get used to it, but the measurements are a joke. Not very accurate and easy to pull the tape tighter to come up with a few inches. Very big sales pitch and the girl was insulting!! I never knew I had the dreaded type 2 cellulite and it will soon get worse without $400 worth of product. stay away from this one!!! Beth
