How did that area fare during the hurricane?

Yes, I live near Bayou St John! The area flooded, but some spots fared better than others- some got a few inches, some got a few feet. I would say that overall Bayou St John has recovered nicely (better than the Mid-City area in general, which is recovering decently considering the heavy flood damage compared to other flood areas).

I have lived here about 10 years and my son started attending a school in that area recently so it's the first time I have been around there and it
looks so nice, I wondered if it flooded very badly.

I just got back from my first visit to New Orleans and just loved it!
It was very sad to see all the damage to the area. I met alot of people who lost their homes, so sad.

I can't wait to go back and take the kids! My DH and I went for a long weekend and we both feel in love with New Orleans! What a fabulous city!
