We are going to rent a car and pick it up at the airport (MCO). What is the best route from the airport to HRH? Thanks.

when you rent your car, they can give you directions. Every time I rent, they give me a postcard with directions.

Just making sure you know... HRH will charge you a parking fee per night to park your car there.....
(didn't want you to be surprised)

Yep. Thanks for the heads up. I have it budgeted in. I'm not happy about paying for parking since the best we could do on a room was about $286 a night in August with AAA discount. If you add in parking, it's over $300 a night. Argh!

Keep checking the rate unless it goes down. What are your exact dates?
The route is easy from the airport to Universal. Just head over to I4 and follow the signs to Universal.

My dates August 9th for 3 nights at the AAA rate of $282.60 per night, with a rate change on August 10th to $269.10 per night for a garden view room. I agree it's high, but I have periodically called and have also been checking online, but can't find anything cheaper.
Here's what I would do. The annual pass rates are about $100/night cheaper. However, they aren't available at any one hotel for the entire stay. I would call and tell them you have an annual pass (even though you don't) and ask them what the cheapest rate they can find. If it works out to be $300 cheaper, buy one annual pass (they are $180 renewable for $100 each year) and you will save yourself some money. Sometimes there are rates available that aren't available on the internet.
Is it possible to change your stay starting on the Sunday? You will save yourself a bundle.
