We were looking to make one of these (or maybe more lol) and we couldn't find the plastic globes. Are they actual lamp globes ? Or should we have been looking somewhere else in Home Depot ?

We found glass ones but not plastic

They have the acrylic globes at HD, but maybe not at your local store? I dont think they have them listed on the website, but you should double check that.

Hey, I got mine at home depot in the lighting dept. I found it at about the 3rd one I went to. Here is my webpage with directions www.RvUsa.Org (http://www.rvusa.org/rv%27ing_tips_and_guides.htm)

Check it out, and if you have any questions, just let me know.

We bought ours at home depot just two days ago in the overhead lighting. We had to settle for smaller globes they didn't have anything larger than 8".

I ordered my globes from these guys http://replacementlighting.com/. They have a really big selection of sizes and styles.

I have built about 5 of these now, I have about $50 total in mine each. The big globe is about 18" and the smaller are 9". The big one ran about $24 and the little ones are $7 ea

Ok so I will have to look at other HD's then. The local one didn't have them. I'll check the ones in other towns then !

Thanks ! I thought maybe we weren't looking in the right place lol

I noticed that replacementlighting does not use HTTPS so you may want to call rather than order thru the web.
