I have MS and have pushed myself way too hard in the last couple of months. I am wheelchair bound today for the first time in months... My entire body is in spasms and I have TONS of work to get done before we leave on the 30th. My boyfriend is unable to come with us on this trip so he is paying for my mother and sister to go with me and help with Caitlyn. I know I should be happy that I have help coming along, but I can't stop worrying about the added stess of having my 15 year old sister there (she is a difficult child to get along with)
I will be bringing my scooter so I wont tire so easily, we are staying on site and will do the afternoon rest.... What else am I forgetting??

I think you have it all covered.
Before you overwork yourself again, maybe it would help to make some lists of things you need to do:
Vital to do
Nice to do
Can wait until later
Here's some Pixie Dust for you. I am including spasm relieving type, relaxation and energizing types for you and some "get along with anyone" PD for your sister. Be careful with that one - it's experimental and you don't want to make her so easy to get along with that no one can recognize her. ;)

I just called and whined to my neuro (I've been seeing him since I was 15) I have an appointment set for Tuesday... he might put me on a steroid to boost my up a little.

We will be checking in on Easter sunday too.
You might see us! We will be staying at OKW and husband has a new black permobile and a beautiful golden retriever service dog. We will also have a teen with us-- our 14 yr old son.
Relax as much as you can before and enjoy the trip!
We find our more leisurely pace more enjoyable than the hectic pace we used to keep !!!

I'm glad you are seeing your neuro. A little boost may be all you need. I also take some "spasm" meds, valium or baclofen with me. Sitting in the scooter all day sometimes I tense up and get spasms. I bring some bath salts for whirlpool tub in my room. Here's some more PD. Have a great trip.
Take it easy now. Rest up as much as you can, and get ready for a restful, relaxing, wonderful vacation. You don't have to do everything or see everything, and Caitlyn will be perfectly happy with a few hours of park time and many hours of fun at the pool, where you can relax and take it easy. I hope that your neurologist cn help you, and that you feel much better, long before you go. :)

Robin,
I know if MS is anything like my MD the fatigue can be horrible. I think everything will be just fine for you. One thing I wanted to tell you about is a drug called PROVIGIL. My doctor gave it to me about a year ago and said it was for mostly MS pts., but he wanted me to try it. It is supposed to give you energy and help with the fatigue. It did work for me for a while, but there are side effects. He told me if I ever felt like I wanted to go out and buy a new car, a new boat, and 100 pair of shoes in the same day to call him. LOL. Well, really the only thing it did was make me moody sometimes. It may be a drug that will help you more than it did me.
Maybe worth looking into.

I have taken Provigil when I knew I needed to be awake long past my early bedtime. It worked and I stayed alert but I felt wired afterwards and had trouble unwinding. I would still use it on limited basis.
