:wave2: Hey everybody!! Most of you may know me from my first trip report here (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1674631).

If not, let me give you a quick introduction.

Me- Heather, 21. I LOVE all things Disney. I also love my husband, he's great! :love:

My Husband- Darren, 24. He loves Disney just as much as me. I feel so lucky to have found someone with my same obsession with Disney. I don't think I could have married anyone that didn't like it!

This pre-trip report will mostly be talking of our everyday life, since we don't do much planning for trips. We like to just play as we go, do whatever feels right at the moment. I hope you don't mind hearing about us! I like to read about people's experiences with other things as well as Disney, espcially if I've read their trip report and feel as if I know them! So that's what this will mainly be about, so I hope you still stick with me!

Our plans- September 5th-13th. Staying at Caribbean Beach. Our very first moderate resort! I can't wait, I know we'll love it. Hopefully planning on doing Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on September 9th! I'm looking forward to this.

If you want, you can check out my first trip report. It's just about done, I have one more day to write. We're going to Panama City Beach May 3-10, and I will be adding a report of that trip in here.

Hmm, I don't see it, but I never do! Just this past weekend, my mom was arguing with Darren's parents about who I looked like in one of my wedding pictures. My mom said Paris Hilton 'But without her long ugly nose' Darren's mom said Tiffani Amber Theissan (sp? Kelly from Saved By The Bell!! :lmao: ) and Darren's dad said Catherine Zeta Jones...I'm like NOOOO none of them! :confused3 Those three don't look alike, so how can one person look like all of them? :rotfl2:

BTW, we don't live in a desert. My dad and Darren leveled out the yard and the grass hasn't grown in yet!

That's horrible! Yes, my dad built it. Me, my brother, and my parents all live down the same road. I love being so close! Whenever something breaks, my dad has to come fix it! :lmao:

I hate cold snowy winters and this winter we had the worse winter in like 50 years or something, we average about 20 inches of snow a winter so far we have a had 65 and they are saying we will get about another 5 before the summer comes. :sad2: :sad2:

It never snows here! I know I'd hate it if it snowed all the time, but I wish it would at least once. If it ever snows, it melts before it hits the ground, so we don't even get to play in it!

I feel like I've found a whole new world here. I've been sitting at work and home the past few days reading various trip reports as a "lurker-once removed" as I hadn't even signed up for the site. Your Dasani headline lured me right in (thinking ~ what the heck does H2O have to do w/ WDW?). My answer when someone asks if I drink water - um, sure, if it has sugar and food coloring in it. Even though I've only read about 75% of your trip report ~ I'm thoroughly enjoying it, and saw the "Dasani" headline again for a PTR and thought I would join in the fun. You have a great way of writing and adding pix to the mix to really give a good "feel" for your vaca! Sorry, I'm rambling. Looking forward to finishing your TR, keeping up with your PTR, and enjoying the other TRs and such around these parts.

Proposal day. I had no idea it was coming. I had registered on theknot.com and looked up styles of engagement rings I liked, just for fun. Darren and I had been dating for 5 years at that time, so I knew we were going to get married. He'd seen me looking at the rings and stuff before...

Well, I went to get something to eat one day, and when I got back home, he was there. We were sitting on the couch and he was like, "Show me those rings you liked online."

"Not right now. I'm eating."

"Come on. Show me now. I want to see."

"Darren. In a minute."

"Now!" He was trying to aggravate me and it was working. So we got on the computer and I brought up the site.

Darren said, "Those look kind of like this..." And he got down on his knee and opened a ring box. :love: :love: "Will you marry me?"

It wasn't a romantic candlelit dinner and it wasn't some big planned out event. It was sweet and simple, just like us! :lovestruc He actually WANTED to make me mad beforehand, I don't know why...Guys. :rolleyes2

Obviously I said yes. He had the ring special made with a mine cut diamond that was his great grandmother's. Supposedly, they don't make this cut anymore. He aslo bought the wedding band that went with the setting.

Fast forward two years...We settled on a date. May 12, 2007. I wanted something very small, I was absolutely dreading walking down the aisle. I don't like being in the center of attention at all.

Best man- Darren's best friend, Chris

I feel like I've found a whole new world here. I've been sitting at work and home the past few days reading various trip reports as a "lurker-once removed" as I hadn't even signed up for the site. Your Dasani headline lured me right in (thinking ~ what the heck does H2O have to do w/ WDW?). My answer when someone asks if I drink water - um, sure, if it has sugar and food coloring in it. Even though I've only read about 75% of your trip report ~ I'm thoroughly enjoying it, and saw the "Dasani" headline again for a PTR and thought I would join in the fun. You have a great way of writing and adding pix to the mix to really give a good "feel" for your vaca! Sorry, I'm rambling. Looking forward to finishing your TR, keeping up with your PTR, and enjoying the other TRs and such around these parts.

We were actually just trying on dresses, so you and your flower girl are wearing ones that we tried on! You looked really beautiful!!! We were going to pick those two dresses because they matched perfectly, but I found another one that suited me better.

So now it was time to take our engagement pictures. We had a wonderful photographer, Rick King. He really makes you feel comfortable and he's very funny!

I was so mad because about 2 days before these pictures, I got my hair done. I had highlights and I just wanted to go back to my natural color. Well, the girl that did it wasn't very bright. She kept checking out her butt in the mirror and fixing her own hair....My hair turned out AUBURN! I do NOT look good as a redhead. I got it fixed twice after that, and it was a little better. I was still so upset about that though!

My DH & I also got married in May on the 25th. That was almost 23 years ago!! This year we will be celebrating 23 years with the MOUSE!! Proposal day. I had no idea it was coming. I had registered on theknot.com and looked up styles of engagement rings I liked, just for fun. Darren and I had been dating for 5 years at that time, so I knew we were going to get married. He'd seen me looking at the rings and stuff before...

Well, I went to get something to eat one day, and when I got back home, he was there. We were sitting on the couch and he was like, "Show me those rings you liked online."

"Not right now. I'm eating."

"Come on. Show me now. I want to see."

"Darren. In a minute."

"Now!" He was trying to aggravate me and it was working. So we got on the computer and I brought up the site.

Darren said, "Those look kind of like this..." And he got down on his knee and opened a ring box. :love: :love: "Will you marry me?"

It wasn't a romantic candlelit dinner and it wasn't some big planned out event. It was sweet and simple, just like us! :lovestruc He actually WANTED to make me mad beforehand, I don't know why...Guys. :rolleyes2

Obviously I said yes. He had the ring special made with a mine cut diamond that was his great grandmother's. Supposedly, they don't make this cut anymore. He aslo bought the wedding band that went with the setting.

Fast forward two years...We settled on a date. May 12, 2007. I wanted something very small, I was absolutely dreading walking down the aisle. I don't like being in the center of attention at all.

Best man- Darren's best friend, Chris

Loved your proposal and engagement pics! :lovestruc My proposal was funny--My husband was building our house and it was almost done. I kept thinking when is he going to propose--we had been dating four years. One night, I got upset about him not proposing yet. The next day, he proposed---he brought me to our house and opened up the oven---there sat my oval cut diamond. He popped the question and I said yes. :love: THE STRANGEST THING WAS ---HE HAD MY DIAMOND FOR A YEAR and everyone in our small neighborhood knew he had it.


I have missed dis this week! Had to go back to work--teaching on Monday! Only 50 days until summer and I can dis all the time!!!

Awesome pictures, thanks for sharing. I think that pool is going to be closed when we go though :sad2: We have never swam on a Disney vacation before...I just realized this. Maybe because we always go in January and it's FREEZING! It'll be 30 degrees and people would still be swimming. We always say, they must be from up north lol. Us southern folks don't like the cold! :lmao:

It just sat there and sat there. I was getting SO mad at him. I figured he dropped the ball and there wouldn't be a party. Well, he did surprise me a whole month before my birthday with a great party. When I asked him about the list never moving, he said he snuck it out one day and photocopied it and put it back. He wanted me to get mad at him and think he wasn't doing anything. :headache: Stinker!

Anyway, here's some pictures from the actual wedding day. (I hope nobody minds that I'm posting all these. I did warn you in the beginning of the report!)

Some of the bad quality pictures were taken with the disposable cameras we had set out. Anyone who is getting married, DO THIS! It was so fun getting them developed after the wedding and seeing what the pictures were of. Different perspectives because different people used them. We had 10 cameras, so we got alot of pictures. It was a great idea.

Soooo the day had come. I was SOOOOOOOOOOO nervous. Seriously, I was dreading walking down the aisle! But I definitely wanted to marry Darren, so I had to do it....

I went to get my hair done at about 11:00am. My friend Shelly did it at her salon. Then I went home and did my makeup. (I did my own because everytime I get it done professionally, they always cake it on about an inch thick!)

If you read my last trip report, you can see how worked up I got over Expedition Everest...Well, I was even MORE anxious about today! I got my margarita out and sipped on it for awhile. Helped a little.

Once we got into the limo, I noticed I had a dirt stain right in the middle of my dress!! DIRT! On my WHITE dress!!! We stopped at my brother's house and got a wet washcloth and I spent the whole way to the wedding rubbing it out. Luckily, it faded alot so you couldn't see it anymore, but JEEZ. Don't do that to a nervous bride an hour before her wedding!

The Character Warehouse is in San Destin, right between PCB and Destin. When we went last month - it was about a 30 minute drive from back beach road on 98.

Guess what - there's a NIKE outlet there too, but you may want to keep that a secret. :laughing: There's also COACH, Fossil and some other great ones that I can't think of off the top of my head.

It's smaller than the one in Orlando, but not by much. I found some great deals when I was down there this last time.

Disney Update

As of right now, it's still Darren and I, with his parents coming a couple days later and leaving with us. They're toying with the idea of not going at all since they're in the middle of building a house, but for now they've still got reservations.

I'm hoping they do free dining this year, I will definitely make a few ADRs if they do. So if anyone finds anything out, let me know.

I was showing Darren some of the comments on my last trip report last night, and I think he really liked it. He asked what LGMH meant ( :lmao: And DH, DD, TOT, POR...etc) and I told him. I asked him if he wanted us to get some LGMH's for our September trip and he was like, "Heck yeah, I'll tattoo it on me I don't care." :lmao: He would love to meet some DISers. He said he likes to talk to people that like Disney. So we'll be getting some LGMH's before the trip.

He's not shy at all and will talk to anybody. I'm sorta shy, but do say hello to us if you see us!!! I'll post somewhat of an itinerary once the trip gets closer.

Beautiful Ceremony and Reception pics. I love the little touches. We didn't do a groom's cake (at least that is what I call the LSU cake) I'm learning so much about LSU between you and Courtney. I loved the baby pictures of you and Darren. We did that but that was at my shower - 10 years ago. Seems like yesterday though. The Cake table was beautiful! I thought that the presentation of favors was really nice -I love pink and brown. But I couldn't tell what the favors where.

The favors were cookies shaped like little wedding cakes (my aunt made those), bubbles, spoons with tiny candy coated hershey kisses ('a spoonful of kisses from the mr. and mrs.'), matchbooks, and plastic wine glasses with candy in them. I had fun making up all of the favors!

Disney Update

He's not shy at all and will talk to anybody. I'm sorta shy, but do say hello to us if you see us!!! I'll post somewhat of an itinerary once the trip gets closer.

So now to play catch up, I love all your wedding photos they are beautiful. When I was looking at the pics of you dress shopping, I thought of my own photos that were taken when I was dress shopping and thought I should look at them. Well at the time of the wedding I hid them deep in the computer so my DH wouldn't find them, well I did a good job hiding them cause even I couldn't find them, took me over 30 mins!!:scared:

About the dirt spot on your wedding dress, on my wedding day just before we were about to go to the church I managed to get makeup on my dress right on top, clearly noticeable!! Everyone in the room went silent and just stared at me expecting me to freak out or throw a hissy fit. Well, if anyone had asked me in advance I would have said I would have freaked out too, but I was actually fine. We were late for the ceremony and I was just like "whatever, it'll come out, where's the tide pen?? let's get this out and get out of here" It's crazy how sometimes you just stop caring about the little things at that point I just wanted to marry my DH!:love:

I think you are so lucky to have a DH who is not shy. My DH is so so so shy, he's starting to come out of his shell more and more, so that is good, but he would never go over to someone and say hi. Myself, on the other hand, I tend to pretty much talk to anyone and everyone:rotfl:

DH and I are thinking about going back to WDW in Sept as well, we got the 40% off email too, but are thinking about switching to free dining if we can. We would be there Sept 13-21 just after you.

What's the reason for not wanting to put your pictures up? Are you afraid of stalkers or you don't want your students to see or what? I think it would be fine, but you have to use your own judegment. You know we all love to see pictures! :thumbsup2

I know what you mean about not caring about the stain on your wedding dress. At that point you're just so wore out and exhausted from all of the planning, you just want to get it over with. You can plan, plan, plan but SOMETHING is still going to go wrong. I told myself that alot.

Darren probably wishes I wasn't so shy, but he knew that since he met me! I'm really outgoing once you get to know me though, so I guess that's ok.
