Love you Elin!!!!
The no seats is a deal breaker.:thumbsup2
Instead of POTS, we will opt for deluxe dining. I also canceled our Saturday arrival, so that saved huge bucks.
Okay, here's what I was able to get:
Sunday :Citrious watch Wishes from the patio.
Monday: Coral Reef lunch
Rose and Crown dinner watch Illuminations from the patio.
Tuesday: Chefs de France lunch
possibly MNSSHP (this would then count as our MK day)
Wednesday : Jiko dinner (our AK day)
Thursday: Yatchsman Steakhouse dinner
Friday : home
We are doing one day at MK, one day at AK and the remaining time at EPCOT. She has never set foot into AK or EPCOT. I was thinking about adding breakfast at Tusker House.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
What do you think??
When are you there Stephanie?

...all I'm picturing is the inside of your neighbor's house! :scared: There is no way to keep all that mud outside!
I was also thinking about what the dog must have torn up inside the house. I didn't even think about the mud they'd be dragging in all the time. I never understand how many can deal with dogs like that. :confused3

Why is it that all the men they showed were obese and all the women had tiny perfect bodies?
Perhaps you missed the lifeguards :rolleyes1 And some of those tatoo'd bikini women were

We started our day with the kids last day of bowling. They invite the local police stations to send officers to bowl with the kids. Colby really enjoyed it, but Nick and Hunter bickered the whole time. From there we went to the bingo hall for the awards ceremony. Nick and Hunter's team which was in 1st place last year end this year in 6th place. They got very small trophies. Colby's team (which Summer and Logan are also on) took 1st place in their division. They were so cute.

The rest of my day/evening was spent on Nick's room. I ran out while he was at his party to see if I could find a comforter as his old one looked old against the fresh paint. Mom had the 30% off at Kohl's and I was lucky enough to find striped bedding that matched the paint chip I had in my purse :lmao: Of course it was on deep clearance so I HAD to buy the matching curtains, valance and throw pillow. I even found a rug to match. All for just over $100 which isn't bad if I do say so myself :rotfl2: I managed to sort through the books and reload the new bookcase, got the closet doors on and all the other odds and ends done. The only things left in that room is to paint the door casing one more time and find a couple of photos of him and Tuffy for his photo collage. He made a big collage of photos of "his" dog as he still misses him terribly. So here is the big reveal.
This is standing in our clearly unfinished entry looking at Nick and Hunter's rooms

Stephanie your dining choices look wonderful! My cabinets need to be cleaned, but I am not bothering with it beings the kitchen is going to be redone. Good excuse right? :rotfl:
Thanks Janet. Yes, I just had my kitchen "freshened" that's why I have to clean all of my cabinets and reload. They were full of sawdust from when the painter sanded the cabinets. The kitchen looks so much brighter now. The cabinets were dark.
This is the furniture we are looking at for the living room. Gary took pictures at the store, but they did not turn out. We are not getting the whole sectional(just the biggest couch section) & the color is not brown(what we want is more of a dark green). There is also a large chair that is not in the picture that goes with the ottoman that we will be getting.

This is the dining room table we have picked out. This is counter top height which will be perfect for us. The fruit decor is not included :rotfl:

So today I got up and went to the Delegate meeting. Helped clean up and then left to head to the Career Fair event. I came home and went straight to bed as I was exhausted. I got out of bed and I have a temperature of 101.4. But my throat doesn't hurt as much anymore.
I have free tickets for the Reading Phillies baseball game tomorrow. We will see if I feel up to going. I also have a final exam to prepare for and a paper to write. I also should clean a room or few. Screens came out today as it was 76, and of course I am sick. I seem to get sick when it is nice.
I am off to watch a movie, not sure what, though. I guess whatever DVD decides to jump off the shelf. :laughing:Hi Becky!!
I made it home safe and sound. It was raining (sprinkling) most of the way in the Lower Peninsula. The roads were wet but not slippery. Within 10 minutes of crossing into the U.P., the skies cleared and the roads were dry all the way home. Just wanted to stop in and let you all know I'm here.

Hugs to all, I haven't had a chance to catch up & read everything.

Daniel played ball in the rain last night, they lost 4-0 & we were all soaked & cold. He has a game today but right now its Thunderstorming.
Dana took the girls to the Father/Daughter dance last night. He took no pictures.

I'm glad you made it home safely. We expected rain all day, but the sun was out. Tomorrow I would love for the sun to shine then we could put furniture on the deck and sand the ceilings/walls...I'm sure it will rain.
Nick came into his room after I finished up and asked me if this "really" was his room. He says that he loves it and that it is very grown up ;)

I had the nicest surprise tonight! Kristin called from the highway to tell me that she and two friends from school were on their way to town to take me out to dinner. So, I met them at Cheeseburger in Paradise for a wonderfully fun-filled evening. Then they just showed up on my patio because they wanted to talk some more before heading back to Richmond. What a terrific end to my day. :)

Thanks for the comments on Nick's room. I got a little sappy tonight when I realized that most of his "kid" things are gone. He still has 2 Mickey Piggy banks and a stuffed Mickey that is actually speakers for his MP3 player. Everything else is gone :sad1: His room looks so mature. The good news is that he only moved his stuffies to his closet, he wasn't totally ready to part with them yet :goodvibes At least Hunter's room still has the bright colors so you know it is a kid's room. I saw Amy and Alyssa yesterday, and Amy looks fantastic! I was a bit taken aback when I remembered we were "due" at the same time, it certainly didn't look like it! :rotfl: Alyssa was a true princess at a shower that might ordinarily be a bit much for such a young lady, but I'm not at all surprised princess:

Janet - the furniture looks great! We need new furniture. But WDW is better than new furniture. Besides, I would need something claw-proof.
I hear you on this, Elizabeth. Our couch needs to be replaced desperately. It looks horrible, and I have it covered with sheets. But as long as Button spends 90% of her time on it it will remain where it is in its decrepit condition.

Our annual Girl Scout Council meeting is scheduled for next Saturday. I got an invitation stating that I'm getting an award. I've already received most of the awards so I'm not sure what this one is. I'm still not sure if I can make the meeting.
Unfortunately for the delegate meeting only 30 people had RSVPed but about 60 people showed up, so we should have left all the walls in the room open. Also the church still had the heat on and we had no way to turn it off, it was 76 degrees yesterday.:headache: :headache: Me in a business suit with a possible fever, :scared:
Congrats on whatever award you are getting.
Our annual meeting is not until May 21st. We have two Gold Award ceremonies yet, one in April and one in May, Our awards and Service unit team recognition is in June. The awards are not even being approved until the next board meeting, which is the annual meeting which is cutting it close in my opinion.
We also have one more Take the Lead Honoring Women of Distinction event in April. We honor outstanding women in the community, the older girls spend time with them and then present them at the event, younger girls are involved in other aspects of the night, like singing, flag ceremony, greeting people. It is a fund raising gala event. This will be the 3rd one, as they are scattered geographically around the council.
These events in addition to United Way and my service unit end of year events and I will be galaed out. Plus my waistline can not expand at all, it needs to shrink or my clothing will not fit.
My taxes are in the envelopes to mail. I had to redo some sections several times, because they kept being incorrect.
Several out of town firetrucks, just flew by. Not sure where they were headed. My parents also called to say a road was shut down. Hope its nothing serious.
I am not going to the baseball game nobody wanted to go with me. I feel fine but not 100%.
Hope you all have great Sunday's or Sundaes. :wizard:

:wizard: and  to everyone!
Lizzie & I had great time at the International Night mother/daughter girl scout thing on Friday night. Each troop had a country. They did a dispaly board on their country and had food. It was bit like the Food & Wine Fest at Epcot without the wine. Then we went into the gym for folk dancing. My shoulder was killing me when I woke up Saturday-must have the rowing song. I had surgery on my left shoulder years ago and my right one had been bad. It got better when I was pregnant with Lizzy and was good for years but bothers me every now and then lately. Thankfully it responded to drugs pretty good yesterday.
I made the kids all sleep pants yesterday. I think Lizzy's comment was the biggest compliment: "Mommy, how did you make them look so real?":rotfl: I had purchased the wrong size elastic so Lizzy & I went to JoAnn's last night to buy elastic and 7 different patriotic fabrics to make her a patchwork twirl skirt.
DH just took the kids to his Mom's. I'm off to go make Lizzy's non Disney shirt and once I've practiced on that to make Emma's Cars shirt and shorts. I want to pack my stuff for my Owner's Locker too.
The kids all wore their new PJ's last night. I'll do laundry and post a photo later. Hopefully photos of two cute A Line tops too.

could someone in the "know" let you know how big a deal this is??
Every year a Girl Scout council has an annual meeting. The council is a larger geographic grouping of Girl Scouting, typically a few counties combined together. Although with the merger some are entire states.
The annual meeting is for the entire board of directors, all the delegates, which is one or more representative from every service unit or neighborhood.
The service unit/neighborhood is the division that a council is broken into. It can be a school district, a few school districts, or some other break down by geographics or some other break down. The service units are a group of troops of multiple age levels. So some Daisy troops, some Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior. The troop volunteers get together and have service unit meetings to get information from council but also to plan events for the girls. Girl Scouts of Eastern PA has 124 service units, that range in size from about 100 girls to 500 girls, with a total girl membership of around 46,000 girls and 14,000 adult vollunteers. The larger service units have more delegate representation then the smaller units.
At the annual meeting the Board of directors, delegates, staff, and any other Girl Scouts who want to visit can attend. This is the largest formal gathering that most Girl Scout councils hold. At the annual meeting, everyone is given a report of all the successes for the year, information about the strategic plan for the future of the council is given. Also information from National Girl Scout organization is presented, such as changes and things coming in the pipeline. Some key business pieces will probably be presented and the delegates get to approve or deny the legislature on the floor.
At last years meeting the largest piece of business on the floor was the merger of the three councils.
It also appears that at Vicki's Girl Scout council the annual awards are presented at the same event as the Annual meeting. The awards range from Outstanding Leader and Volunteer which are lower level awards to higher level awards like the Honor Pin/ Honor Pin 2 and Appreciation pin. At the lower level awards it can just be service to a troop, or service unit at the higher levels it involves service to multiple service units, or volunteer work toward furthering the council or multiple councils goals. The larger awards are from multiple years of continued service to service units or council or councils..
There are also numeral guards for the number of years as a member. Or years of service pins for the number of years someone was a volunteer as an adult. The larger numbers such as 40 years of membership numeral guard or 30 years or more of service pins are presented at our Annual Awards dinner. It is quite amazing to see someone receive a numeral guard for 75 years or more. Especially when they are still actively volunteering with the girls.
Also some Girl Scout Councils have their own awards in which the award is in honor of someone who did outstanding work for the council and volunteers who provide similar outstanding service can receive this award. Our council has an award for a young volunteer under 29 who does outstanding service. We also have an award for a volunteer that has provided outstanding volunteerism for 40 years or more to multiple service units or toward furthering the goal of the council.
The annual meeting and awards are the largest uniform events a council has with volunteer attendance.
Sorry for the lenghty explanation, hope it makes sense.

It makes sense, Becky. And I should have known you would be "in the know"... :thumbsup2
But I must not have made my question to Vicki clear... I wondered if someone who is responsible for her award could let her know if it is something big enough to warrant taking time from work to attend.

So when I was babysitting last night I ran across this channel called "Fine Living Network". There was a show about vacationing at WDW for $1600.
There were 3 families - a couple with 2 girls (ages 5 & 6), a mom with three boys (2 of the boys were definitely over 9, maybe the youngest one, too), and a couple in their 50's. I missed the first 15 minutes or so.
The first segment showed the family with the little girls eating at Tusker, which was covered by their DINING PLAN! Then they went to MGM, and at some point they were at MK because they talked about Dumbo. I don't think it was all on the same day because their clothes kept changing, so they must not have had hoppers.
The next segment showed the mom & boys at Disney Quest, then at Typhoon Lagoon (because they had the water park add on), then at Epcot BY LUNCHTIME ON THE SAME DAY, eating at Sunshine Seasons!!! :scared1: Then they rode Test Track and it was the greatest ride ever.
The couple played 18 holes of golf with rented equipment, did a couples massage at SSR, and had dinner with wine at Yachtsman.
OK, now for the "totals" to see if everyone kept to the $1600 budget.
The family with the litle girls did either 4 or 5 nights at All Stars, base park passes, and basic DDP for $1598.
The family with the boys did 3 nights at Pop, tickets w/ water parks add on, no dining, for $1591.
The couple did TWO nights at AKL, DxDDP with Wine Add-On, and added golf and massage to their package for $1538.
Excuse me? Isn't DxDDP mandatory 3 nights or more? And unless I missed that part, the couple never went to a park, but they would have had to have at least one day passes to get the DxDDP. I found that very misleading.
I also found it misleading that they kept emphasizing that the family with the girls had the DDP so their meals were paid for. They neglected to say that they had to tip OOP and that it doesn't include 3 meals per day, unless they covered that at the very beginning of the program. Then there was the issue of the mom and boys apparently having the ability to beam themselves from place to place and hit 3 different parks before lunch. It was a very peculiar show.

Sappy...I know...Not at all. I feel the same way. Sophie doesn't even play with her American Girl dolls now. I feel your pain.

Maybe. I just haven't had time to check. They like to keep them a surprise.
ETA: I have already received the Appreciation Pin and Honor Pin that is Girl Scout wide and are the big honors. I have also received several of the local Council honors. I do believe that they created a new one a couple of years ago that I have not received so I think that may be the one they are giving. This is the last year our Council will be Girl Scouts of Peninsula Waters (because we are merging with 2 or 3 other councils into 1) so they need to get rid of all the pins! :lmao:

Well, we spent 3 hours at Shopko. When we were finishing up, my mom arrived in town and met us there. Between the 4 of us (Becky, Mom, Chuck & I) we spent $910. Mind you, Becky gets a 15% discount on all clothes and 10% on everything else but electronics. She saved us $144 from that. We bought a quilt for our bed, sheets for our bed and sheets for Becky's bed. The rest was clothes and shoes for all of us. Chuck got 2 pair of zip-off leg pants, 2 pair of shorts, lots of button-up shirts, 8 nice t-shirts, underwear, socks, and some airwalks. Becky got several pairs of shorts, underwear, quite a few shirts, a dress, robe, and good tennis shoes. I got several more casual shirts which was the only thing I was lacking, underwear and a pair of roll-up leg pants. Mom got a spring jacket, pajamas, 6 or 7 shirts, and some underwear. I can't believe we spent what we did but with Becky's discount we paid 55-65% off the regular price of all summer clothes.

Incredible!
We've had lots of sun but windy and coolish at times. Three soccer games prevented me from meeting Elizabeth and Lindsay for lunch. :sad2: But, the boys won all of their games. We went to the school auction last night. Emmitt Smith and his wife were the honorary co-chairs. Since their kids do go to school I assumed they would show up, but was amazed that they showed up and were still there when we left. They are very gracious.
Jake woke us up at 3:30 telling us he had just thrown up. He did make it to the bathroom thankfully. We put him in our bed and I went to try to sleep on the couch. He did get sick again around daybreak, but hasn't since then. His tummy really bothered him this morning, so I spent time holding his hand, laying beside him in bed and when he wanted to lay down on the floor by the heater/bathroom, putting washcloths on his head and drying his tears. He was so upset that he would miss the kite flying event this afternoon, and is scared he'll miss school and mess up his perfect attendance. He's feeling much better after taking a couple of long naps, so I think he'll go to school tomorrow.
Andrew had another soccer game today (they lost 4-3) and now is at baseball practice.
I hate to say it, but I'm really sick of The Disney Channel. I've OD'd on it today. :upsidedow

The kitchen is loaded!!! The cabinets are done. All of the cabients are organized, clean, with every piece that was placed inside washed. :woohoo: :woohoo:
I still have to put the hardware back on a couple of cabinets and the drawers, but I have to go to the grocery store. I also cleaned out the refridgerator, had to clean the gaskets and the grill underneath. I pulled out the drawer under the stove and cleaned that. There is not a surface in my kitchen that still has construction dust except the broom closet. I'll get that next week. I'm bushed. My hands are like prunes.
But now, finally, after almost 3 years of living here, my cabinets are brighter and I really like my kitchen. It was the room we knew we had to redo from the begining, but other things kept coming up and it was pushed to the back burner. (very punny:lmao: :lmao: )

But now, finally, after almost 3 years of living here, my cabinets are brighter and I really like my kitchen. It was the room we knew we had to redo from the begining, but other things kept coming up and it was pushed to the back burner. (very punny:lmao: :lmao: )

YAY!!! :cool1:
We saw this a couple of weeks ago. I also felt it was kind of misleading. I thought I mentioned it when it was on. However, I don't know that much about the pricing of the packages really.
Well, Disney's big marketing ploy is that a family of four can do a week for $1600. It is 6 nights at a Value resort during value season with base park passes. We always laugh about that because it doesn't include any food! (Or airfare, or souvenirs, or tips, or any of the other quadrillion nickel & dime things that inflate the cost of a trip.) This was kind of showing what you can really do for $1600, it just didn't show it very well.
Happy Birthday, Molly!
Stephanie - Yay for getting the cabinets done!!
Marci - I hope Jake is feeling better! Poor thing!
Janet - After the trip in August we will be back at square 1. The APs will be expired so our next trip will be starting from scratch. And of course I have DH and the Uncles pushing for DL. We'll see. :rolleyes1
Vicki - That was quite a day of shopping! It sounds like you guys bought about as much as we got rid of!
DH pulled a ton of stuff out of his closet that he took to Goodwill. I pulled out a few things (I get rid of things more often than he does) and I cleared out "the corner". :scared: It is the catch-all where we throw empty boxes, rolls of wrapping paper, odds & ends we have no good place for. Some of it was stuff we meant to donate last time but the box got left behind. I found 5 pieces of my stuff that needs to go to the dry cleaners - I never dry clean anything. Now there is actually room in the corner for us to put some sort of drawers or something to hold the overflow of DH's stuff. The closet is still full and so are all 3 dressers.

That is some major shopping!

Chuck had better get rid of a lot of his old stuff. That was the reason for buying him so much. He is like me and doesn't usually buy clothes for himself. We both really needed some new clothes. He has a bunch of shirts that are worn that he wouldn't get rid of. Now he has no excuses!

He's feeling much better after
I hope that he is feeling better so he doesn't mess up his perfect attendance. That was very important for me. It is something that I'm still proud of all these years later. I missed one day of high school - my grandfather's funeral. Otherwise, I had perfect attendance all 4 years. I'm glad that I attended my grandfather's funeral but it still bothers me that I missed that one day.

I have such vivid memories of those two NPs. And I really want to go to Yosemite. We did not get there in 1967 nor in 2007, so I would like to go. The vistas we saw in Sequoia NP last summer were very similar, but with not quite the immense grandeur.

So i have to show you guys what i think we may do on one of our stops in alaska...im so excited about it
Within a few miles of Juneau you will be in transported back in time to relive the spirit of the gold rush with an Iditarod Dog Musher and his team of Alaskan huskies. After a drive along Gastineau Channel and into the remote Sheep Creek Valley, you'll arrive at the Sled Dog Summer Camp and be greeted by an Iditarod Musher and the team of Alaskan huskies. Your musher will guide you through an educational tour of the camp, located on the actual site of the AJ Mine. See a replica of an Iditarod Race checkpoint and go through the steps the musher goes through as if you were actually arriving at the checkpoint with him. Learn how dog care and the health of the musher's dogs are his two greatest concerns. Visit the puppies and take part in their initial social training. Interactive and Interpretive displays of the Alaskan gold rush days and sled dogs, then and now, are placed within walking distance throughout the Camp. Visit your musher's wall tent and learn what it's like to live in the middle of 120 huskies. Climb aboard a wheeled dog cart and experience the thrill of mushing approximately 1.5 miles through Sheep Creek Valley behind a team of highly trained Alaskan Huskies.

I'm sure that it is a well deserved award. You gave so much time to the GS.

He's feeling much better after taking a couple of long naps, so I think he'll go to school tomorrow.
Andrew had another soccer game today (they lost 4-3) and now is at baseball practice.
I hate to say it, but I'm really sick of The Disney Channel. I've OD'd on it today.
I hope that Jake is feeling better. I'm sure he has his heart set on perfect attendance. I don't know how you guys keep up with your kids schedules. I have enough trouble keeping up with my kids and they aren't nearly as active.
I'll come back and catch up during Desperate Housewifes, I hope
The kitchen is loaded!!! The cabinets are done. All of the cabients are organized, clean, with every piece that was placed inside washed.

I don't remember off the top of my head. I'm in there at least once a week so I'll check the price next time I'm in there. It would be nice to not have to replace it yearly. I would guess that a weed barrier would be a great idea though.

I slept in this morning and that was the only relaxing that I did. Chris and I started prepping the house for sanding the drywall. We spent 4 hours taping paper over the new flooring in the halls, removing everything that we possibly could and covering what was left with sheets. We even taped the bedroom doors closed so that no dust could get through the cracks :goodvibes It took us a couple of hours to sand, then we let the dust settle a bit and started cleaning up. That took several more hours. The good news is that the bedrooms remained dust free. The bad news is that the ceiling and one wall crack needs another coat of durabond :sad2: I'm not excited about that. The kids are off this week and I'm hoping that I can get the hall and entry painted and back together. Our appraisal is on the 21st so it would be nice to have that area completed. I'm hoping that I can pick away at it. I also have to work 5 nights this week :headache: The money will be nice, but It will slow things down here.
Tomorrow I will try to get the ceiling painted and maybe just maybe catch up on laundry.

I did not go to the Baseball game. We did go to Texas Roadhouse. I only ate part of my salad and a roll. The rest of my food came home. Then I had some of my brother's Birthday ice cream cake that our Mom made..
I am watching Desperate Housewives now and then will probably head to bed.

I don't remember off the top of my head. I'm in there at least once a week so I'll check the price next time I'm in there. It would be nice to not have to replace it yearly. I would guess that a weed barrier would be a great idea though.
looking online it appears regular mulch runs about $3 a bag and the pulverized rubber stuff is $10-$15 a bag. Could be worth it if it truly lasts. And I would definitely invest in a weed barrier. We have it down out front and I never have to weed, although there is this maple tree that keeps wanting to come up in my azaleas. :confused3

We had a nice evening yesterday with our friends and their kids. The kids played outside all evening and we just sat and chatted. It was great. We picked up my niece on the way home last night as she wanted to spend the night. Got home and put the girls to bed. I cooked up the ground beef for the spaghetti sauce and mixed it all together.
This morning I got up and finished the Pink cake and got the spaghetti sauce into the crock pot. We had breakfast and then cleaned up the house.
Emma had a soccer game this afternoon, they lost 6-0 but they played so much better than they did the first game. Emma played the entire game. She was exhausted tonight!
After the game it was dinner here. My parents, sister, niece and MIL were here. Everyone left around 7:30ish. I got the girls bathed and in bed. I've still got some clean up to do which is really not at all that I want to do. I am getting off of here now to do that and then head to bed.
Obviously you can see that we read through the last pages but I am beyond exhausted so please forgive me for not responding individually.'s, :wizard: and :cheer2: all around.
Good night all!!

Tonight's menu:
Boneless Beef Short Ribs with Cabernet Sauvignon Reduction
Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes
Steamed Fresh Vegetable Medley
HRM Rex Goliath California Cabernet Sauvignon 2003
Dessert....

bet you won't believe it.....

Climb aboard a wheeled dog cart and experience the thrill of mushing approximately 1.5 miles through Sheep Creek Valley behind a team of highly trained Alaskan Huskies.Emma would LOVE that! She says she's going to live in Alaska because she wants a husky but she HATES the cold. I think she'll figure out that you don't have to live there to get a husky.
Pictures from Molly's celebrations..
Happy Birthday Molly!!!!
Everything looks wonderful!

Thanks! The tops were a bit more complicated-not something I would try to start with but the pants were great and the instructions were so super clear-much better than a commercial pattern. The pattern was something like $9.95 but you get size 1 to 10 and American Girl Doll sizes too. AND the instructions were just so good. It was a really great way for me to get back into sewing. It was Easy Fit Pants from www.youcanmakethis.com.

So we are changing our dates.
Jeff thinks it will be cooler and less crowded in Sept. We thought about going for our Anniversary but free dining stops on the 20th. Our Anniversary is on the 28th.
We are now leaving the house on the 13th driving to Houston to see an Astros game at 6pm. after the game drive to the other side of Houston. Stay overnight at a hotel, get up around 5am and head to Disney. Arrive late on the 14th stay thru the 22nd and head home. Thinking of doing MNSSHP on the 16th.

Well, the Annexes are preliminary. Also, don't rule out driving to another store until you find out how the benefits are changing. If they reinstate really good benefits that include parks and/or resorts then it might be worth the drive!! But if not, you have current retail experience so you can get hired on at any other shop in the mall. Gap is a good company - I looked at going into mgmt. with them a few years back.

Unfortunately the school is doing NOTHING about the problem on the bus.
Looks like I will be driving her to school from now on.
Leighanna was having trouble at lunch too. She packs her lunch alot, and when she does, she doesn't have to go through the lunch line. Apparently the lunch monitor seats the kids in first available seating, so Leighanna couldn't eat lunch with her classmates. Most of the time she would come home with a lunch box that was barely touched, just so that she could be excused and let outside to play. At least her teacher has fixed this problem, and lets Leighanna go through the lunch line with her classmates so that she can sit with them.
Leighanna usually has no problem making new friends, but some kids can be cruel and heartless, and Leighanna is so tender hearted she would get upset.
It was starting to get so bad, that the last two Fridays she was so worked up with stress, she made herself sick.
Since I have promised to drive her to school and pick her up, her whole attitude has changed. I hope this helps.

Leighanna is having issues with some older kids on her bus, so I have opted to drive her to school, and pick her up. She is starting to get anxiety attacks, and she is making herself sick just thinking about riding the bus.
She used to love the bus, but all it takes is a few rude kids, who like to pick on little ones to ruin the whole experience!:sad2:
Have a great day all!
Good morning, Tom. We miss you here, so it was nice to come on and see a post from you. Poor Leighanna... kids can be so nasty. I can't believe the school won't do something about the bullying! :sad2:

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go today....I wonder if they have seen the store closing list yet? My manager is at Disney right now..wonder if anyone called her. I hope not, let her enjoy her vacation. 2 of our closest stores are closing. If May 1 is the day of the turnover then I guess I won't be working when I get back from our trip.:confused3 Oh well, I guess I could make alot more money somewhere else.:sad1:
Hopefully you will find a place where you enjoy working as much as you have liked being at TDS, Anne Marie.

Elin,
I like your new siggie pictures.
Thanks! I figured my new post count deserved a donation to the DIS and that prompted a change in avatar since they stuck the DIS Sponsor picture smack dab in the middle of my signature in the middle of the night! As long as I was working on it I decided to scraplift some shots from the Disneyworld dot com site. :goodvibes

53 days! Wow, I can't believe I'll be at Disney in 53 days. We are going to have so much fun with my niece & nephew. My only concern was whether my sister was going to listen to me about the rest in the afternoon. She seemed to think it wasn't necessary. Well, she took her kids to an indoor water park last week-end and told my mom afterwards that her kids were going to need a rest in the afternoon while we are at Disney! Yeah! She understands!

I'm off to the post office sometime this morning to pick up the dresses and see whether I like them. I'm hoping my overland donner bag is here as well. There are two packages at the post office. The second one is either my bag or my movies from the Disney Movie Club. I just had a 50% off all additional movies if you buy one at regular price so I bought about 12 of them. I also had free shipping.

Thanks! I hear you. We need to get back on track here.
Night all.
Sorry you didn't make it to the game.

How does this sound?
Sounds like a good plan! You'll be there for my birthday!

Pictures from Molly's celebrations..
Robyn, wonderful pictures! It looks like Molly had a really great weekend!
Again, you have me exhausted!
Here are the kid's sleep pants. I forgot to make the pattern big enough for the elastic casing and hem so I had to add cuffs. I was able to find a coordinating print for Emma's. They all loved them!
I also bought a PDF file for an ALine top. I made one for Lizzy first to practice on:
I still need to refresh myself on how to do button holes. Lizzy tried it on and it looks so cute!
Here's Emma's Car's A Line top and I made shorts to go with it.
Everything looks wonderful! I'm so impressed! :goodvibes:

Deb - Nick's room looks wonderful! I really like that bedding, etc.
Debbie - I love the stick figure design. So cute!
Vicki - Prayers and :wizard: for your family. I hope your uncle is doing better soon and the biopsy results for your cousin are good.
Anne Marie - Yeah for packing!!!
Marci - Congrats to the boys on the good games. I know what you mean about ODing on Disney Channel. On some school breaks or weekends I have to beg Rachel to please, for the love of God, let me change the channel. There are only so many episodes of the same show I can take at a time. :upsidedow
Stephanie - Glad your kitchen is done! It looks wonderful all bright and cheery. My mom wants the kitchen done so badly, but it will just take too much right now.
Robyn - Happy belated birthday to Molly! I hope the party was fun! Ack to the haircuts! Sorry your growing out work was for naught. :(
Amy - I probably missed it before, but how was the Fancy Nancy party?
Jen - The possible port excursion sounds great! I would be all over that one.
Bernadette - Love the sewing projects!! All very cute and the fabrics for the new projects are cute too.
Jennifer - Sounds like a good plan! And if we end up going in Sept we'd be there the same time!
Tom - Sorry to hear that Leighanna is having bus issues. I'm glad that you can take her to help easy the anxiety especially with so many years ahead of her. :grouphug:

Good morning, DDA! Another seemingly crazy weekend, though I don't know what happened. The best part though is that I don't have to rush through my taxes today. Apparently, due to the local flooding lately they've pushed back the deadline for our county and a bunch of others in the area. I still need to do them ASAP, but at least the pressure is off for today since the to do list is already massive.

Tom- Good to see you around. :grouphug: :wizard: for Leighanna. Sorry the kids are bullying her.
Deb- Great redo of the rooms.
Jennifer- Glad to hear you are still hanging in there. Hope work isn't too bad.
Bernadette- Great job on the clothing. I should make myself some pajama pants then perhaps they will not look like high water pants.
Jennifer- Hope that your trip is cooler in September, since you rescheduled.
Jen- Your excursion sounds neat. They actually have dog sledding in NY, NJ and some other local places. Obviously not in the summer though. Although there was still snow on the Blue mountain Ski area on Saturday in the 76 degree weather and they have not been open for a month.
All of you going on upcoming trips have a good time.:grouphug: :wizard:

Anne Marie- An article and video about the Toy Story Show (http://www.orlandosentinel.com/business/custom/tourism/orl-toystory1108apr11,0,4031422.story) on the Wonder. It looks pretty cool.:cool1:   I am so excited for you and your family.
You'll have to let us know what you think of it.
Thank you, thank you for posting that Becky!
I am looking forward to seeing it! I think I am starting to get excited now.
Dana called Daniel's school today to let them know he was missing 3 days. The teacher told him, "I know, Daniel's been telling the whole class since September.":lmao: She said she has no problems since he is doing so well. Whew! Now I just have to tackle the girls school.

Hello, DDA! First day of spring break found me at the walk-in with a UTI. Fortunately, he prescribed the painkiller along with the antibiotic, so it hasn't slowed me down too much.
We don't have any great plans for the week. There is no school, but the other activities don't stop.
Today we had lunch at Friendly's (that place is getting pricey for the quality of the food). We also went to Target and the orthodontist. Fun day, huh? :rotfl:
It looks like Laura is going to need a frenectomy. We can't get into the oral surgeon's office for a consult for a month.
I have been missing you all, though I try to pop in at least to read a couple of times a week.

Hi, Beth! Sorry you aren't feeling well, but I am glad it isn't too terrible!
Baskin Robbins is doing $.31 scoop night on April 30 starting at 5 PM.
DH said my Mickey Moms' Panel packet arrived today!!
DS had math homework over the weekend. That NEVER happens. So DH told him he didn't have to do it on Friday. :headache: He worked on it a little bit on Saturday but he was really distracted. I told him he could have some meds and finish it once he could focus. No, no, no he wanted to do it in tiny little chunks over the course of Saturday and Sunday. Well, he completely crashed and burned on the assignments. :sad2: Because he didn't bother to follow the directions about rounding!! It wasn't that he didn't understand, it was that he couldn't be bothered to do it properly. I told DH it is his fault for not enforcing the homework rule (all homework is done immediately after school), and it is partly my fault for letting DS talk me into letting him do it without meds. We are the adults and we shouldn't be letting DS call the shots about homework and meds. :sad2: So now he has several pages of corrections to do tonight, a language arts project that is due Wednesday that he needs to work on, and vocabulary for Social Studies. It doesn't sound like it will be a fun night.

How does this sound?
I think the crowds will be a smaller in September but I don't think it will be much cooler. Sorry we won't meet you.
Bernadette - your sewing projects look great! And, no... I don't think Lizzy is too old... did you ask her?Lizzy LOVES that fabric. I think she's having a hard time seeing it as the dress but I know she'll love it.
http://www.glittermaker.com/temp-images/3/419/glitter-cute-120816943962995.gif (http://www.GlitterMaker.com/):woohoo:
Bernadette, your becoming a sewing junkie like me!;) Everything looks great! I have a Lightning McQueen outfit to make for Leighanna yet too! I really like how yours turned out!
Off to get Leighanna ready for school.
Leighanna is having issues with some older kids on her bus, so I have opted to drive her to school, and pick her up. She is starting to get anxiety attacks, and she is making herself sick just thinking about riding the bus.
She used to love the bus, but all it takes is a few rude kids, who like to pick on little ones to ruin the whole experience!
Thanks! You have inspired me so much!!!!!
Poor Leighanna! We are lucky in that its just K/1/2 on Joe's bus and 3/4/5 on Lizzy's bus. I'm not looking forward to the 6 to 12 bus though.:scared1:
Bernadette,
Great job on the kids outfits!!!Thanks!
Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go today....I wonder if they have seen the store closing list yet? My manager is at Disney right now..wonder if anyone called her. I hope not, let her enjoy her vacation. 2 of our closest stores are closing. If May 1 is the day of the turnover then I guess I won't be working when I get back from our trip.:confused3 Oh well, I guess I could make alot more money somewhere else.:sad1::wizard: Hope you can find something that works for you!
Bernadette I love the clothes you have made!
Thanks!
Wow...You've been hiding your sewing talents. I'm very impressed :worship: I don't think the pooh fabric is too young looking, I think Lizzy would look cute in it...the important question is what does she think? It is a lot of work, so I'd ask her first. Thanks! I think she'll love it. The A-Line is pretty easy once you've got it down. I think that would be a great pattern for that fabric-show off the fabric well.
Yeah! She understands!:thumbsup2
Molly decided this morning that she needed a haircut, so she gave herself one.
You did a great job fixing it but I understand your frustration. Emma's been letting her bangs grow out since August. I would be so upset if she cut them now that we are almost there.
Thanks Bernadette! And I love the pants, shirt and outfit. The fabrics you got are so cute.
Thanks!
Everything looks wonderful! I'm so impressed!
Thanks!
Bernadette - Love the sewing projects!! All very cute and the fabrics for the new projects are cute too.
Thanks!
Bernadette- Great job on the clothing. I should make myself some pajama pants then perhaps they will not look like high water pants.
Thanks! I did buy some fabric and pattern to make me PJ pants. I bought extra fabric to be sure I'd have enough to add to the inseam.

Well that's the deal with the girl's school. Since Daniel goes to private school they do not collect federal funding & therefore do not rely on attendance to get their money. As long as we do not abuse the priviledge (& & 3 days isn't) we are o.k. The girls go to public school & the principal there is a truent zealot too (I like that terminology!:rotfl: )

Such cute pictures!! The cakes and cookies were beautiful. Looks like everyone had a lot of fun.
To put the trampoline (or anything for the room) outside or into the room, you just drag it from the bar at the bottom into the room. For the trampoline, have you bought the outside room yet? To do that, click on "map" and then on "buy a room". Hope that helps! If not, I can try again

Un Frickin Believable...
Apparently the someone "stole" Hunter's games from the bowling alley before our friend got there to pick them up. Now the lady at the bowling alley had the case with the games in her hand when I called. Apparently they are now gone. I just got the email so I called the bowling alley and of course the person there now has no idea what I'm referring to. I plan to call first thing in the morning. I would think that they would be liable to some extent since they had the case. I wonder if I can file a police report, or maybe they should. Maybe their insurance would cover the games :confused3 We just made a list and we think he had 9 games in the case. 9 games at an average of $30 per game is $270 :headache: I'm feeling sick over this
