Glad all of our Dallas friends are ok!!!! It's headed our way, and of course I'm supposed to leave tomorrow am to go to Alabama to see my grandmother... right in the middle of bad weather. I think we're leaving EARLY tomorrow to get ahead of it all.

Can someone with an AP do me a favor and check what is available for the night of April 25th? We are driving down early, and I need to book somewhere for the one night. Thanks!
what level of resort?

We're headed out to the Dekalb Peachtree Airport for the kids. I spent all day cleaning out their closets. Good grief! They've outgrown all their clothes, so I'm going to have to do some serious shopping before Disney. I've outgrown mine too, but not for the "good" reasons! ;) :rotfl:

I found the BWI standard on line at WDW with that room only discount. It's $279 there, so a good deal. Then I can walk over to MGM the next am to get my AP and treat everyone to b'fast at the Boardwalk Bakery!:goodvibes

Glynis,
I am sorry about your dog.
Lindsay, Elizabeth, & Marci,
Stay safe...the weather there sounds crazy.
I just got home from work...busy & crazy all at once. Alot of people coming in to buy park tickets for Passover week. Its going to be crowded!:crowded:

I see you have a new avatar, Chanon.
I like the pots & pans! :)
A couple of other random things...
I talked to Joe yesterday and he finally got the police report from the accident. The accident was not his fault!! :cool1: :cool1: Some lady ran a red light and hit him. The police report also states that he could not remember what had happened and that he had a strong alcohol smell. He had in his car about 8 bottles of champagne and vodka that were left from the catering job. They all busted in the accident, so I can only imagine what he smelled liked!
We have not heard an update from my SIL and BIL about how he is faring. It's kind of worrisome. SIL will be in Colorado next week for work and my FIL is flying out there to visit with her. Hopefully we will get an update. We have not talked to them in a while, the time difference sucks. We always remember when it's too late to call.
And does anyone happen to want any World's Finest Chocolate? ;) I signed up for 4 boxes for Mo to sell and then forgot to have my sister pick them up when she got Mo. I need to sell 400 by next Thursday:scared1: I cannot buy $200 worth of chocolate!
I'm glad the accident wasn't Joe's fault! Did the hospital do a blood alcohol on him? Obviously if he was transporting alcohol that broke then everything would smell!
I hope BIL is doing OK! :wizard:
I LOVE World's Finest Chocolate! (So does Debbie! :rolleyes1 ) Let me think on it.
Glynis- I am sorry to hear about Cozy. How wonderful though that you all got to be there for her to go so peacefully.
Glynis, I am so sorry about your doggie.
Please remind me again how old your sister is? Is she still 16?
She just turned 16, but she is only a freshman in high school. She won't graduate until she is 19.
Deb - I am happy to hear that there appears to be a good outcome to Colby's evaluation! Also, can't wait to see more pictures of your progress.
Tammi - I hope Nicholas' appointment with the doctor brings some answers. yourBob is a GEM!
Chanon - cute avatar... what is it??
I hope Colby is able to get started soon!
Tammi - Is Nicholas constipated? That sounds similar to what happens to Princess.
Marci and Elizabeth - glad to hear you guys fared okay in the storms this morning. Unfortunately, it was absolutely horrible in my neck of the woods, but somehow we ourselves were spared any damage to our house or property. Our neighbors lost some large trees, and since we're right near a park, there were some HUGE trees that went down there and into our subdivision. How in the world all those trees managed to not land on power lines or homes is a true miracle. I have never seen weather like that - I am positively terrifed of tornadoes, and that's the closest I ever care to be to anything like it. Up near our house they clocked winds at 87 mph! :scared1: So, my day started by bolting out of bed at 4 a.m., and unfortunately hasn't improved much since.
After sitting through some meaningless meetings all morning, I need to see if I can now get some actual work done. Have good days, DDA! :wizard:
Lindsay - No power at Princess's house and LOTS of broken trees, etc. We are headed back there now (we're at my house) to see what the status is. We didn't have gymnastics today because they had no power, either! My power never went out, though we had some BIG storms at 4 AM. I'm glad you and Marci are safe!!

I'm glad Colby is getting the help that he needs.
I had another night where Nicholas woke up with stomach pains and then vomited. That was around midnight and has been ok since. He is still complaining that his stomach hurts. I have no idea what is going on. He isn't 'sick' as there are no other symptoms. Yesterday when I picked him up after school his stomach seemed to be distended and when I asked about it he told me he had been drinking lots of water. Then he played outside all evening, and ate a regular meal. But before bed he complained of pain. When he woke up his stomach was hard and he was doubled over in pain. After he emptied he seemed to be comfortable. I have been taking off so much work lately, so Bob was able to take today off and come over and stay with him. They only have a half day today and tomorrow is a teacher workday. I think I'm going to call his dr. and see what the nurse there says.
I hope that it's nothing serious. My nephew has not been to school yet this week. He also vomits during the night, but seems much better during the day :confused3 We think it's a viral thing
Our appointment to go over Colby's results are on May 5. It is a one hour meeting and will cover treatment options before school and at the school, create and IEP and some other things that I have forgotten now. It makes me think that his score results were low enough, but I don't even know if she's actually scored it yet :confused3 It could just be protocol.
Hi, everyone! I'm just checking in so you don't think I've fallen off the face of the earth! Things here are hectic and I won't have time to really come back to the list until Thursday of next week. My mom is staying with us and we're having a bunch of fun! We leave on Saturday to take her home, and to take our kids on a long overdue Spring Break trip to explore the national parks in our state. We haven't done this since Katie was 18 months, so really none of the kids have seen them. Should be fun!
One sad note: My dog, Cozy, who was my first "child" passed away on Sunday morning. She was 11 years old, but our vet didn't expect her to live past 3 years, so we got a lot of time with her. We knew she was not feeling well on Friday and Saturday, but went downhill really quickly. She died in Katie's arms, and we buried her underneath our cherry tree in the backyard. It's been really hard on the kids, but it turned into a beautiful teaching moment.
I'm sorry I haven't been able to keep up with you all this week. I've been thinking about you all and keeping you in my prayers! If there's anything urgent I need to know, would someone PM me? I'll try to check that at least once a day. Thanks. Have a great week, everybody!
I sorry about your dog. Losing a pet is so hard. We are all still grieving over the loss of our dogs 1 1/2 years ago :sad1:
I hope you have a wonderful spring break:thumbsup2

Here's some shots of Hunter's room. Go easy on me, it's been a LOT of work :rotfl2:
So really, what do you all think?
I think it looks great! I'm glad Hunter is happy with it, too! :)
Morning everyone-
Our fire alarm battery was "chirping" in the middle of the night --and we switched the batteries--so it was a fun night haha
Headed to work--have a greaet day
As Lindsay said once (I think), it ALWAYS happens in the middle of the night!
I'm glad Colby is getting the help that he needs.

I'm thrilled the report came back so positive!
I'm sorry for missing some posts! I'm stuck at work, but not really "working". I'm here because an RN has to be here for a particular child who is late leaving (I was supposed to leave at 1, but I'm not sure how this staffing issue came about :sad2: ). I'm "here" in case anything happens, but I refuse to work any more today becuase I've put in MORE than enough hours already this week, and I have tomorrow still, too! :rotfl: Still, it's hard to catch up properly while I'm here. I hope you all are doing well!

The Loss of a Heart
Author unknown
I stood by your bedside last night, Just to have a peek…
I could see you were crying. You found it hard to sleep
I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear.
“It’s me, I haven’t left you. I’m well, I’m fine, I’m here.”
I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour your tea.
You were thinking of the many times, your hand reached down to me.
I was with you at the shops today; your arms were getting sore.
I longed to hold your parcels; I wish I could do more.
I was with you at my grave today; you tend it with much care.
I want to reassure you, that I’m not lying there.
I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your keys.
I gently put my paw on you; I smiled and said “It’s me.”
You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair.
I tried hard to let you know, that I was standing there.
It’s possible for me, to be near you everyday
To say with certainty, “I never went away.”
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew…
In the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.
The day is over… I smile and watch you yawning…
And say “Goodnight, God Bless, I’ll see you in the morning.”
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide
I’ll rush across to greet you and we’ll stand side by side.
I have so many things to show you, there is so much to see.
Be patient, live your journey out…then come home with me.

Sounds promising Deb! I hope Colby can get his speech therapy started soon :wizard:
The lady that tested Colby yesterday called a minute ago and wants to set up an appointment to go over his results. She wants to do it at our Elementary School so I'll take that as a good sign that he will be getting therapy. Since he starts school in Aug, the school would work with him beginning in June (more likely after our trip in July)

I was thinking the same as Elizabeth about being constipated. Riley use to & still occasionally gets really bad stomach pains. He would be in tears it hurt so much. He never threw up that I can remember though. But once he was able to go to the bathroom, he would be ok.
I was also thinking maybe his appendix? Hope to hear something soon!

Hello all!
Glynis - I'm so sorry about your furbaby. I hope that everyone is doing okay. Enjoy the rest of your time with your mom and the trip. Sounds like fun!
Tammi - Hope Nicholas' doctor's appt was okay and that he's feeling better.
Dallas-folk - Hope your damage isn't too bad. Glad you're all safe!
Denise - Have you check Port Orleans Riverside? The Alligator Bayou rooms hold 5 with the trundle bed. It'd probably work well for one night. Stay safe as the storms come through!

So we ended up having the 3D/4D ultrasound, and Robyn, you are right -- I'm so glad we did! It's taken me until today to really feel that way, but I definitely do! At first, I had high expectations about every minute of it, every picture we would get, etc. Then, we got the smaller end of every range (19 pictures, package included 15-30.... 35 minutes, package included 30-50). I was having a bit of buyers remorse, but the handful of pictures we got that are cute, are REALLY cute, if I do say so myself :lovestruc Baby B still has her feet and/or butt in A's face, and was just destroying her the whole time... it was pretty funny to watch! :) We also got with our package a DVD, VHS, a few spots on their website, a CD with 19 pictures, a few printed pics, etc. It was well worth it, especially when I think of how much fun they will have watching it when they get older! :goodvibes

Princess still has no electricity! :scared: They don't know when the power will be back on.
DS had fun at the band competition. They made a 2, a 2, and a 1. Which I have no idea how to interpret. It LOOKS like 2 excellents and a superior, but that was using the grading scale for marching minus the parts about marching. The grading I found for concert band was done with words, not numbers, so I don't really know if they did well or not! :confused3
Since we spent the day at the mall I found some good stuff! Gap Kids had an extra 25% off all sale items. Macy's had 20% off sale if you used your Macy's card. Nordstrom just had some cute stuff, some sale, some not.
My Dr.'s office called to say my labs are normal. That was fast! It was just routine bloodwork so I didn't think it would be back in 24 hours! Maybe the lab wasn't busy?
I need to call my mother and figure out what her plan is for Diva Girl and the birthday party.

Thanks! I looked up "UIL band competition" and found the grading charts. It looks like they grade from 5-1, with 5 being the worst. There are 4 areas for marching bands, 2 of them deal with the music and 2 of them deal with the marching. The concert gradng was completely different, so I am thinking they were graded using the music parts of the marching thing.
I talked to my mom. She is SNARKY today! I told her she better stop it because I am TRYING to help her. She still hasn't phoned the birthday girl's mom to find out if it is OK for Diva Girl to stay at their house. And the invitation the girl sent didn't have ANY sort of personal note saying that she really wants my sister there, they will be happy to have her stay with them, nothing. Just the same basic invitation they sent to everyone else.
I was telling my mom last night that I will come up there when she has her surgery, and I am making arrangements for DS to stay here. She said I don't need to be there. I told her I do. She then tells me it will probably just be an in-office procedure! :scared1: :rotfl2: I have to laugh because that is so ABSURD! They have to remove the tumor, make sure the margins are clean, and test the lymph nodes. It is NOT like freezing off a wart! And I thoroughly expect her to be hospitalized overnight. So I WILL be there for her surgery, or if I can't be there for that then I will be there when she is discharged.

I'm so very sorry to hear about your pupply.
I need to sell 400 by next Thursday:scared1: I cannot buy $200 worth of chocolate!Wonderful news about Joe! I hope you hear from BIL/SIL soon.
Chanon - cute avatar... what is it??
Duh.....it's a hidden Mickey. ;) :rotfl:
:goodvibes
I was going to ask where the pictures are and I think someone referred to them being in your blog, so I'll have to check it out.

Nicholas seems to be fine, again. The doctor said he isn't concerned because the symptoms are so sporadic. Sunday night and then Wed. night. He just said to feed him a bland diet for the next 5 or so days. Yeah, right. He is going to hate that. Thanks for all of your concern. And yes, myBob is wonderful. He came here in the AM, took Alyssa to school, took Nicholas to the DR., picked Alyssa up from school because they had early dismissal, went out to his side of town to pick up his DD, and then came back and fixed everyone dinner. I popped in for a short time after work and then had to head over to the school for Alyssa's parent/teacher conference. She is doing excellent and is one the top readers in her K class. I know this isn't the same but...I had a sizable lump removed in an outpatient facility. They really wanted to put me out but I told them I only wanted a local. The anestiaoligist(sp?) sat right at my side waiting to put me out in case I freaked out-which I didn't.
I can't remember now why they couldn't do a biopsy-maybe the location????
I was trying to get pregnant with Joe at the time.

Bernadette - My other sister is only 27 years old. She got pregnant because birth control was too expensive, and she married the guy because she couldn't think of anything better to do. They lived with the in-laws for over a year, then the in-laws bought them a house. Her second baby is only 18 mos. younger than the first one, and she miscarried another one in between. She can't parent her toddlers because she still needs to be parented herself. I hope her MIL has lots of stamina (and money). BIL is very immature. If I think raising my sister would be daunting then there is NO WAY the 2 of them could handle her.

Bernadette - I can't imagine my mom's surgery would be outpatient, let alone an office procedure, but I guess we'll see!
Oh, and on the topic of my other sister, let's remember the fiasco she made of our father's estate since she thought she was entitled to ALL of the material possessions and monetary assets.
My youngest sister will still have SS money coming in for the next 2 years, which my middle sister could blow through with lightning speed.

Today was supposed to bit a bit leisurely at least this morning. That ended when Hunter called at 8 AM to tell me that he forgot his huge science fair board :headache: I told him I would drop it off at 10 when I was heading by the school anyway. That wouldn't work as they had 1 1/2 hours starting at 8 AM to work on the projects. Somehow I managed to get a shower, deliver the board and be back home by 8:30 :rolleyes1 Now I'm allowing myself an hour to DIS, catch up on missed shows. Then I will have to get us ready to head to Colby's appointment. My mother and I both feel that Colby is becoming more difficult to understand. I think that he is talking a lot more and his vocabulary is growing, but he is so difficult to understand. The best case scenario would get him started with speech therapy within the next month and have it continue over the summer. That would give him some good skills BEFORE the start of school next year. Any pixie dust would be appreciated.
When we get home I plan to get all the touch up done in Nick's room and hopefully that room will be ready to reload with his stuff :wizard:
Colby is snuggling with me on the couch and I am definitely sucking it up.
It's important that you get speech therapy started as soon as you can. When Becky was little, Katrina was the only one that could understand her. Chuck & I spent our days turning to Katrina and asking "What did she say?". Katrina was in speech therapy until 3rd grade. Becky was in there until 5th.

I hope your speech appt. goes better than Bob's did when he had Bethany evaluated a few weeks ago. She is difficult to understand, can't pronounce R, S, TH, etc. The therapist said that according to state guidelines if her ability to learn isn't affected, she doesn't need speech, and that her issues are 'age appropriate'. If that was my child I would have been furious. Every adult who talks with her thinks she has a speech issue, she is NOT average amongst her piers, and it is going to become a social issue with friends if it doesn't get corrected soon. And of course she isn't my daughter so I can't push the issue. :sad2:
That is so sad. Becky was ostracized for years because of her speech issues. Bethany needs help as soon as she can get it! I hope that Bob is able to do something about it.

I CAN'T STAND MY MOM!!! last week i got a phone call from breast cancer society asking for a donation. i said sure but i only could give them $10. well they just called and asked if i got the stuff they send and i said i had. then asked a couple of other questions. after i got off the phone mom started yelling at me how now they will be calling me forever(which i don't care) and how i shouldn't donate and give them money. i said well i always ask for money for mda and people help me so i think i should do the same then she went all postal and yells and screams more. UGH!!!!:furious::furious::furious:
I'm so sorry that you have to deal with this Karen. It is unfortunate that you and your mom have a different opinion on this. I think it is wonderful of you to donate to other causes. I also donate and get those yearly calls for another one. If I haven't given too much to others, I usually give another $10-$15.

I was ready to hand in my mom license or whatever the heck it is you get when you have kids. Cassidy has been stealing from the disney fund (I have no idea how much because it's a piggy bank) and then lied about it and used some very mean tactics in trying to argue with me. The only funny line was "fine, don't expect any calls from me tommorrow" AFTER I took away her phone. She had me so upset I couldn't sleep so I wrote her a note.
A couple of good things came out of it:
I found a very funny trip report....along the lines of Delswife
Cassidy actually apologized to me this morning, without prompting. We'll see how much she likes me after the note.
So I am trying to function today on what equates to 2 hours of sleep. Good golly, I feel bad for parents who have this crap more often than I do.
Thanks for the shoulders to vent on.
I'm sorry that you are having to deal with this. :grouhug: When my girls frustrate me and do dumb things like this, I remind myself that there are much worse things that they could be doing. It helps a little bit. Though, I still wish they hadn't done the dumb thing! :lmao:

I have no clue what to do about my mother. My Dr. said I need to do as much as it takes for me to back away with a clear conscience. She doesn't want me to abandon my mother, she wants me to turn ownership of the decisions over to my mother and just be an observer. But that's not the way I roll.
I have a hard time with this one because you are talking about decisions that have possible serious, long-term consequences for you - custody of your sister. That puts a whole different spin on it for me. If your sister was an adult, I would be more apt to agree with the Dr. Prayers & pixiedust: that you are able to find a solution that works for you.

Thanks for getting the reservation, Chanon!! I'm going to price things out this weekend to see what I want to do for sure. Probably I'll give you a number for the deposit and hope for the best. My cousin is getting married in Destin on the 20th so I'm trying to see if I can combine free dining and the wedding with have the money together in time.
So Chanon booked free dining for me the last week of it's run. I called yesterday to make ADRs and was able to get everything and at great times except LeCellier. Of course, I only tried one day for that. I could even have gotten PSB at a perfect time but didn't have a credit card with me to hold it. I was really surprised as even on party nights I could get monorail resort meals with no problem.
Even more surprising, I was able to book several end of May meals with great times and no issues. I got Rose and Crown and a potential Illuminations time plus 'Ohana at a good time on a Party Night. Sounds like you guys are right about people slowing down the ADRs with the DDP changes.

I hope her electricity came back on. We were so lucky not to have had more damage and loss of power.
Congrats to DS and his band group!
Hooray on your labs!
I sent you and Lindsay a PM -- a make-up soccer game for Andrew has been scheduled during Jake's game tomorrow, but in a different place, so I can't meet you guys for lunch. :sad2: These soccer people must not think we have anything to do but play soccer on Saturday -- we aren't supposed to have personal lives...
She loves to read. I wish her brother did too.
I'm glad he feels better. Congrats to Alyssa! And what a sweetie Bob is!

I can add 3 or 4 more meals depending on whether one is with Phil or all without. I think I'm going to make them without because we have enough to squeeze in with him anyway. So, the question is, what do I add?
What are some of the best breakfasts? All of our breakfast ADRs have been park character meals in the past. Are there some other good ones? Since Terra and I can often share, I can save her credits for buffets and other one-price meals. I also need a dinner before MNSSHP. I was thinking of skipping Chef Mickey's or LTT as we've got two other Mickey/friends meals. What other choices are good that I haven't already had?
I could try a signature dining finally too? What's my best bet? Terra eats anything and does well places so that's not a big deal.

Hopefully the rest is okay too. ;) Nothing much on tap for the weekend, though I've got to do my taxes. :rolleyes1 No, there is no good reason that they aren't done. I have tried the Miralax myself and didn't notice any funny taste. It did change the texture a bit, but I may not have stirred it enough. It does work for us.
Tia. It sounds like you are making great progress on trip planning :thumbsup2 I so miss having time to plan. It is a good thing that we got things done ahead of time as I have no time now to worry about it :rotfl: I'm trying to give myself a break today. It is overcast and should begin to rain anytime now. It looks like rain for the next 3 days. I really want to get Nick's room 100% done today. Tomorrow we have the end of year bowling banquet so that will eat up the morning. I think we may use this weekend to regroup and set the next set of goals on this project. Did I mention that I am SICK of all this home improvement crap :confused3
Colby and I went to the Science Fair today. Some classes had the kids make the boards at school while others did them at home. You can certainly tell which boards the kids did verus which boards the parents did :rotfl: Hunter had lots of pictures on his which made it more exciting to look at :thumbsup2 No prizes are awarded at our school, it is just an enrichment activity. Next year we don't have to do one at all :cool1: :worship:

I woke up with it but after some Advil, it's a lot better. Thanks!
Good morning DDA! Hope everyone has a great day!
You too, drive safely.
Popcorn? Who knew? Thanks, Robyn!
Crazy ain't it! And another thing is that that kids tend to get more constipated in the winter months as with the heat on it dries out things. Emma drinks a ton of water and that seems to help too.
Thanks!
I am going to try to get them on here, but I never got around to getting on the right computer. They are in the blog, or at picasaweb.google.com/chateaukaufman
Hmmm... you actually can't see hair very well on 3D, they usually only see it on 2D. Unfortunately, it's probably just shadows/blur because she moved so much and never let us get good shots! We'll see about hair... Kyle and I didn't have any until we were at least 1, so it would be all luck! :rotfl:
I'm very glad too, thank you for the extra push! :goodvibes
The story you told was heartwarming... I'm sure it was so touching to see him and his daughter! :lovestruc
I hope your headache is gone this morning!
We asked the tech about Lucy having hair, it seemed like she did from the 3D ultrasound and she said the same thing that it was probably just shadows. Well she was born with a full head of hair, so who knows!
It was really, really great to see that interaction. He told DD that they were headed to the hardware store after scouts and she jumped up and down with excitement. At the end of the meeting the leader welcomed him back and he was very very unassuming. He really didn't like the fuss. And he was just fascinated with Lucy and she with him. I have never seen a grown man look at a baby that wasn't his the way he looked at Lucy. It makes me really stop and think that life is much better with just the simple things. All of the other stuff is just that "stuff".
I feed Princess pureed prunes, but I doubt you could get that to fly with Nicholas! :rotfl2:
Yep. That's exactly the problem.
Safe travels, Vicki! :wizard:
Thanks, Heidi! Someone please remind me again later, because I will probably forget!
Well she could sneak it into stuff. They also have those prunes that are individually wrapped, they look like candy. Maybe he'd eat those.
I hope her electricity came back on. We were so lucky not to have had more damage and loss of power.

Emma is having a friend over tonight for a sleepover. She also has soccer practice. Then tomorrow she has a birthday party. All of us are getting together with our friends (the ones we were to go to Myrtle Beach with) for dinner. Sunday Emma has a soccer game and then my parents, MIL, sister and niece over for Molly's birthday.
We still need to get Mo's birthday present and bake a cake for Sunday. And I need to go grocery shopping to get what I need for Saturday and Sunday.
Tia - congrats on the trip and the perfect ADRs!

Emma can tell when I add the Miralax to her drinks but she has yet been able to tell about the Benefiber. I mix it in just about anything- milk, water, spaghetti sauce, you name it I add it.

Did you guys see the thread on "Rumors & News" that has the links to the bankruptcy filing for the Disney Stores? There is a list of which stores are staying and which are going. It is a preliminary list, but it's still a decent indication of what's going to happen.
Of course we are slated to lose "my" Disney Store. I can still drive up to the one near Lindsay or over to the one near the dealership where I bought my car but those aren't nearly as convenient as the one I go to now.

Hi ApplePie and Zalera... we all know each other. ;) I'm the one who provides homemade chocolate chip cookies.
I have found the list of stores that are being kept and the ones that aren't. We're told these lists are preliminary and NOT final yet, but it's definitely hard to sit by and wait for these decisions to become final... particularly as part of a team at a store on the bad list. :(
For anyone who enjoys sorting through endless pages of legal jargon.. the lists can be found here: http://chapter11.epiqsystems.com/clientdefault.aspx?pk=984b6fc1-5861-47e1-816a-0bfea854c839&l=1
Click on the "Docket" link at the top of the page and find Docket #91 -- the "Images" link on the right is actually a number of downloadable files where all of this information can be found.
Click the link in this post. Go through until you find Docket 91 listed to the left. On the right there is a link that says "Images", click that, and from the drop down menu there is a thing listed in 3 parts. In Annex A you will find stores staying open, in Annex G the stores who are closing. You have to scroll through the pages - it isn't the first thing that comes up, and there are about 40 pages in each part. You just need to weed out one list or the other, because if your store isn't on the one you find it will be on the other! The Annexes are not both in the same part, yu have to look through all 3. I did manage to find both lists in about 10 minutes last night.
Did anyone else see that Air Tran will now be charging a $10.00 fee for a second bag starting May 15th? So does this fee apply on the return flight also, making the charge actually $20.00?
That's how I am understanding it. I would think they charge you on each leg because I know we always check 5 going to MCO and check 6 coming home.

I think they all do, except for Benefiber. It's a bit more expensive than the rest, but you can add it to ANYTHING except carbonated beverages, and it adds no taste, no texture, nothing. I've literally had it in water and even soft foods (yogurt, etc) and done fine, and I am not one to get over changes in taste or texture! :teeth:

I'm sitting at Andrew's pitching lesson and my aircard is working. Wow!!
I wish I had service last Sunday.
Gorgeous day today -- sunny and in the high 60s.
Quattro is catching for Andrew and Jake is at my SILs. We'll leave here, feed the boys and go to my niece Katie's game. She has lost her front two teeth this week and looks darling! :goodvibes
Karen, I'm dittoing Marci. I missed your comments earlier.
:cool1: on the aircard working. I know how frustrating that is. Tell Katie thanks for loosing her teeth so Lucy could find them! ;)
It looks like your trip is really coming along! I am so incredibly excited that Phil is finally going with you! :yay:
I think they all do, except for Benefiber. It's a bit more expensive than the rest, but you can add it to ANYTHING except carbonated beverages, and it adds no taste, no texture, nothing. I've literally had it in water and even soft foods (yogurt, etc) and done fine, and I am not one to get over changes in taste or texture! :teeth:
Too weird. The one in Cincinnati is not on the acquired list, but all the rest in Ohio, in much smaller towns (Dayton, Canton, etc) are. Boo!
Poor thing!
She doesn't seem bothered by it in the least. I think the most pain is right before they pop through. She is however turning into a beaver and knawing on our coffee table!

curiouser and curiouser... your post says 10:38 on my computer! I wonder if somehow your DIS clock is set wrong? At the bottom of my window it says: All times are GMT -4. The time now is 07:23 AM. And that is "close" to correct. It is actually 20 minutes off.
Yep, you were right! My DIS time was set to Central Time Zone (which is where I live). However, my computer is set to Eastern Time Zone because that is what the majority of the state is and what I use for "work time" since 5 of my 7 staff are in that time zone. When I got the position, I told the whole team ALL time references are to be EST to avoid confusion. Once I fixed my DIS time to match my computer time, the times are only about 20 minutes off.
I'm not sure how this got changed. The times seemed right to me until the day that I commented on it. Hmmmm. Well at least the mystery of why it was wrong was solved. Now, I have the mystery of how it got changed.

I'm checking to see if they have the Travel Channel on at the motel. I'm watching TV guide now to see. If they do, I may be turning it on later since I can sleep in tomorrow. I am hoping the roads will be better but I'll probably have to wait until later morning so that the ice melts.
I hope that they DO have the Travel Channel and that the roads are clear when you awaken, Vicki!

I think it means that your store, and ours, are closing. :(
On a happier note... HI, STEPHANIE!!! :wave2: I have missed you!

I agree it is wonderful to have Stephanie posting!
Who knew at our age, Stephanie and I are becoming roller coaster women!!!!! :lmao: :woohoo:
I'd MUCH rather ride a roller coaster than a tea cup!
Knowing how cold Stephanie gets, I will just ask for a couple of tablecloths!!!:lmao: :lmao:
Works for me!
Believe it or not we have never gone! It is on my list of things I still want to do.
La Nouba is amazing! DH nixed going back this year, but we will definitely go again in the future!
I have switched to "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" because if I wanted to see people who shouldn't be wearing (or not wearing) stuff like that I can do it in my own home!
I told DS to change the channel or he would be sent to bed immediately. He was trying to tell me he couldn't find the remote.
And Guy Fieri is in Richmond, VA at The Village Cafe right beside Kristin's campus!!
Neat!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I forgot about it and missed it. Well, I was supposed to be on the way home and instead ended up staying in Lansing. The U.P. and Northern Michigan are getting hit bad by storms. Snow, rain, sleet, hail, freezing rain. You name it and it seems to be somewhere between me & home! :confused3
Sorry about the weather! I hope it clears in the morning!
Emma has a friend over and they are camped out on our living room floor. They are giggling their little heads off watching Alvin and the Chipmunks. Mo is there too but she crashed about an hour ago.
I am baking Mo's cake for her birthday dinner on Sunday. Her only request was "It MUST be PINK" I am doing the checkerboard cake with strawberry and funfetti. I guess tomorrow I'll whip up some strawberry buttercream frosting. That should cover the pink requirement pretty well.
Mmmmm. Cake! :)
I've heard people refer to discounts for La Nouba. Is that an AP discount and is it always offered?
It is an AP discount, usually 25%, offered sporadically.

I don't even know where this past week went.
Let's see, besides the same old, same old (errands, ballet, open gym, school, etc.):
*We had very mild temperatures, so we played outside a lot.
*Both kids got haircuts.
*I took my glucose tolerance test (fingers crossed that I passed).
*I actually baked more cupcakes for the neighborhood ladies' night out.
*I monitored Julie's condition. She was hospitalized for 24 hours, but she was released, now seeing the doctor every day. She's hit 35 weeks, so that's good!
*We went to a wedding last night. A very sweet, young couple, but way too many former students in attendance, most who weren't my favorites. ;)
Our temperatures have plummeted about 20 degrees for the weekend. :(
I hope you all have a great weekend ahead! :goodvibes

This is only my opinion... Lindsay or others may disagree. When we went to the Party for the Senses (and the cost was under $100) the first couple of years, Kristin was not old enough to drink. She loved it. However, with the cost having gone up so drastically, I would have to think twice about going if I were not going to drink. It is an amazing thing to experience, but for the amount of money you would spend at an evening there you could eat almost anything you wanted at your favorite restaurant in WDW and have plenty left over.
Lindsay, Kathrin, Kristin and I did not have seats last year. Made for very tired footsies!
I would not go if I had the same constraints you have with your friend, Stephanie. I would pick out extraordinary signature restaurants instead.

This is actually a follow-up to my reply to Stephanie...
Bob and I are not doing the Party for the Senses this year. We feel that although I would certainly get my money's worth from the experience, Bob would in no way make out well. He is not a particularly adventurous eater and dislikes wine. The beer offerings (other than the Utopias) are not spectacular enough to offset the lack of food that he would enjoy.
Now, if we were fortunate to be there the weekend that Sam Adams did its beer dinner, that would be a different matter! ;)

I'm waiting to hear from her again. I got back with her to confirm my interest and there was one other lady she was talking too, also from the church. This woman has been a nanny before and, I would guess, doesn't have a 5yo that comes in the package. So, she may have the advantage and that's okay. I should hear from her in the next day or two.
If that's the case, then I don't like it! All of the Missouri stores are on Annex G. :(

Good morning/afternoon, DDA! Not too much going here today. I've got too many errands to run, it seems, but can go until Rachel is done at dance. After that, Terra is hoping to find a play area to go to. So, I guess we're dropping of Girl Scout stuff to the east and working our way west until the errands are done and we hit the mall. It's cold and dreary here today so not very pretty to be out running. (Sounds like yours is worse though, Vicki. Drive carefully!) Tomorrow Chase is spending the day here while the others are going to Six Flags. So, guess maybe Monday is when the taxes are getting done. Either that or nap time tomorrow. Though I'm wishing I could have a nap. There must have been something in the air Amy, as I was up at 4am too. Some dream that I can't remember a thing about woke me up and I spent the next two hours trying to get back to sleep before having to get up to take Phil to work.

Barking gadget works well...however, I still HATE the one dog. They have 2 German Shepherds...and they are so destructive,,,they have dug up the entire lawn next door. It looks like a sea of mud. I feel like I live next to a slum!! I have come right out and asked them how they can possibly live like that. My next strategy is to put up a wood fence so I don't have to see it.

My next strategy is to put up a wood fence so I don't have to see it.
...all I'm picturing is the inside of your neighbor's house! :scared: There is no way to keep all that mud outside!

That's exactly why I asked them how they could live like that...I told them to get rid of the one...it's an awful dog.

I might have to invest in one then. Yep, sounds like it's time for a 6ft. privacy fence.

My neighbor has 2 labs. One is black and is perfectly fine, but the other is yellow and obnoxious. Barks constantly. I don't know why it doesn't drive them nuts. It certainly does me.

I know....that's why I had to ask them how they can deal with it. Bill was shocked that I was having that conversation with them...but I think I finally snapped. My personal belief is that animals should be a part of your household...not completely take it over and destroy the joint...It is flat out disgusting!! Can you tell this is a hot topic here??!!

I love my privacy fence, not long after we put it up the neighbors got a trampoline and the kids love to jump and look over. :rotfl:
Even though she can't see us their dog starts barking when she hears us open the back door.

Great new design, Debbie. I'm not sure that I like the @ though. If it were me, I'd prefer the word. The figures are adorable.

Good morning. I've been up since 4 a.m. :headache: I can't even blame anyone in my household for waking me up, but I did watch a General Hospital marathon. 5 episodes in 2 hours...gotta love the DVR. :teeth:
:goodvibes
Robyn, have fun baking! Can't wait to see pictures! Happy (almost) birthday to Molly! party:
You looked great, even for being up at 4am! Actually, I was up then as well. Well, awake. I got out of bed at about 4:30, and was really quite productive since Kyle wasn't home and I didn't have to work quietly! You should have called, we could have actually talked! ;)
I missed it! We didn't get home until 8:20 and I wasn't going to make it to the midnight rerun. It's on again on Wed though!
Ooh, how quickly I forgot! We're going to watch it right now!

Stephanie your dining choices look wonderful! My cabinets need to be cleaned, but I am not bothering with it beings the kitchen is going to be redone. Good excuse right? :rotfl:
Anne Marie hope we can see a pic of your do!
Kristine sorry your neighbors aren't the best. The neighbors beside us & behind us are great! I am so glad we have no problems with them or their pets.
Debbie love the stick figure design :thumbsup2
I am watching Star Wars on TV :upsidedow

Debbie, love the shirt!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Debbie - It looks good! Make the head on your figure a little bigger and Richie's won't look so big! :rotfl2:
Kristine - I know people who let their children destroy their home, but not anyone who lets the dog tear things up. :confused3 Good luck - the neighbor sounds clueless.
Tammi - How's that deck looking? ;)
I took DS to get his hair cut. The stylist he has been going to wasn't there because she QUIT! :scared1: I told the girl at the desk "THAT would have been useful information to have BEFORE NOW!" We had an appt. with that particular lady because DS has difficult hair. The girl said whoever made the appt. didn't write down a phone # so they couldn't call me. :headache: But I wasn't about to leave his hair all shaggy so we let the new girl cut it. Lucky for her that she did a good job because I was in a very, very bad mood.
I called DH on the way home to ask him what he wanted when he called earlier. He said to meet him at the garage sale at the church across the street. OK, I told him I was pulling into the post office but we'd be there in a minute. He said I left the stack of bills on my desk. ARGH! :headache:
Nothing good at the garage sale. I got my coupons and went to buy groceries.
As I was walking through Super Target my mom called. Now my sister doesn't want to go to that birthday party. Well, GOOD! But she wants to go to SC or CA this summer to visit relatives from my father's side of the family. Oh, no no no. My father has 3 sisters, and all of them are HORRIBLE to my mother. They thought their brother could do no wrong. My sister does NOT need to spend time with ANY of those women. One of them actually sends me anonymous hate mail sometimes. Hello? I can read the postmark. Anyway, I told my mother that is NOT a good idea. And my sister hasn't been invited to visit these people, she just decided that's what she wants to do. :sad2: I told my mom to wait until next year when her treatment is finished and she and my sister can go somewhere. Like Disney.
I'm off to take a shower and go babysit.

This is the furniture we are looking at for the living room. Gary took pictures at the store, but they did not turn out. We are not getting the whole sectional(just the biggest couch section) & the color is not brown(what we want is more of a dark green). There is also a large chair that is not in the picture that goes with the ottoman that we will be getting.

This is the dining room table we have picked out. This is counter top height which will be perfect for us. The fruit decor is not included :rotfl:

So today I got up and went to the Delegate meeting. Helped clean up and then left to head to the Career Fair event. I came home and went straight to bed as I was exhausted. I got out of bed and I have a temperature of 101.4. But my throat doesn't hurt as much anymore.
I have free tickets for the Reading Phillies baseball game tomorrow. We will see if I feel up to going. I also have a final exam to prepare for and a paper to write. I also should clean a room or few. Screens came out today as it was 76, and of course I am sick. I seem to get sick when it is nice.
I am off to watch a movie, not sure what, though. I guess whatever DVD decides to jump off the shelf.

I made it home safe and sound. It was raining (sprinkling) most of the way in the Lower Peninsula. The roads were wet but not slippery. Within 10 minutes of crossing into the U.P., the skies cleared and the roads were dry all the way home. Just wanted to stop in and let you all know I'm here.
