I'm off to take a shower. Chuck & I are going to finish getting the camper ready. We aren't sure if we are going to the funeral tomorrow. Chuck's family is kind of funny about things like this. He didn't even go to his grandfather's funeral. However, Jean & I are different. I think she would appreciate us being there.

I also have to lose 10-15 pounds or my clothes will be totally screwed up!

I'm starting to panic a little. There are only 42 days until our trip.

You'd better start now. I think if you cut back on Pepsi you'll make it ;)

Please say prayers for Chuck's SIL Jean and her family. Jean's mother has passed away. Jean is about 10 years older than me and she had an older mother so it was not unexpected due to her age. However, the loss of your mother is never easy!

  That is never easy

I was able to get Laura's birthday lunch at CP, but there are no CM dinner times before 9:00 while we're there. That is Miles' favorite place, but maybe Cape May or LTT will work for him. I need to think about this and call again quickly. I've never not called at 180 days. :rotfl:Congrats on CP! How about breakfast at CM? The new Tusker House breakfast at Animal Kingdom is good too.

Colby and I are having a relaxing day.
Sounds like a great day!

Congrats on CP! How about breakfast at CM? The new Tusker House breakfast at Animal Kingdom is good too.

Thanks! Laura isn't much of a breakfast girl (or a morning person), so I was trying to avoid breakfasts (especially since she pays as an adult). Once I tell her, I can see what she thinks. Maybe if I make a late breakfast ADR, that would work. She doesn't eat eggs or waffles or bacon or sausage, but there may be enough other things for her. She really isn't as picky as I make her seem, but she does have strong preferences.

Ok! I'll figure out how to spring it on dd. But if two others really want the spot, we'll just see if we can get an ADR for about the same time...just let me know.

And so that there are no surprises, I've told all of you that I am really, really, really big, right?

You are absolutely dining with us! If I have to call Group Dining and tell them we'll have an amended number I will do it. As we get closer I will PM the ADR confirmation # to everyone, just in case somebody needs it. I also need to make sure I have everyone's cell #. I know I have Bernadette's since I called her the other day! :rotfl2:

Beth, you have never been to a nanny conference, have you? Now those are some big girls! Trust me! ;) Besides, we aren't the sort of folks who judge each other like that!

Vicki - Good thoughts for Jean and her family! I do think it would mean a lot to her if you & Chuck attend the funeral.

We are big fans of doing the latest breakfast seating. I love breakfast food, but I don't usually eat a whole lot when I first get up. CM's seats for breakfast until after 11 AM. I think the last seating for breakfast at Tusker is 10:30, but if you dawdle they will start to put out the lunch items! :thumbsup2

I managed to make some headway with the pieces for the cake but I really need the cake to finish everything from this point.

Here's my menu for tomorrow, please tell me this sounds like enough. I am forever second guessing myself

Hot Dogs
Baked beans
Cole slaw
Pasta salad
Strawberry pretzel salad
Deviled eggs
Chips

Cake
Ice cream (or should I do freezie pops? They will be easier to keep cool at the park)
Brownies

Poor Eric and his dad cannot have hardly anything as Passover doesn't end until sundown tomorrow. We didn't realize that it was Passover when we decided on the date.

Sounds good to me! I'd do popsicles, unless you get those individual cups of ice cream with the wooden spoons.

Good people come in all sizes, colors, shapes, religions, etc. You are all such a great caring bunch of people that have opened your hearts to others. Jennifer, what are your three new Webkinz, and what is the Hallmark deal that allows you to get them free?

I have to start some laundry, but I'll try to be back before ds gets home.

We got a black bear, cocker spaniel and golden retriever. Kyle actually saw an advertisement for the deal when he was in Hallmark on Sunday, thinking it was every Friday or something (the way it read). It turns out, today through 4/29 they are having this Webkinz ExtravaGANZa at various retailers (for the anniversary on one of those days). If you spend $10 on any merchandise, you get a free Webkinz (from select animals). It's a great deal, considering they are more expensive than that on their own!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: and a Phew thrown in for good measure

I think you have enough webkinz to thoroughly keep you busy through the rest of your pregnancy. You'll have to make lots of money to get the proper rooms for all of them ;)

Yes, I should say so. And yet, there are so many to choose from.... :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

You know this is another of those things that I told my kids they should never, ever do! And look at me, I've now had three trips where I've met up with "virtual" friends. Never, say never, I guess!

You have to admit though, it makes for some difficult conversations sometimes when certain people ask, "How do you know _____?" :rotfl:

It's a good thing that you got a laptop to go with that bag! I mean what's a bag, without a laptop in it? :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I was going to wait until I caught up, but I'll fill y'all in now.

The ultrasound went really well. We definitely have one little peanut. We got a very clear picture of the heart just beating away, and were even able to hear it! That relaxed me so much! Also makes it much more real!!! The tech checked for a long time to make sure there were no other surprises tucked away in there and there are not! WooHoo!!! Much as I love my twins, I think another multiple pregnancy would have wiped the floor with me! They did spot a cyst on one of my ovaries, but they don't think that will cause any problems.

The lining of my uterus looks good, but I'll stay on the supplement until about 14 weeks, just to make sure. Other than that, all looks well!!! No visible problems at this point.

We weren't going to talk to the doctor today, unless there was a problem, but as we were leaving, the nurse asked if she could talk to us. She just wanted to make sure all our questions were answered and to reassure us that just because I'm 41 that doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to have problems, especially considering that my health is the best it's been in years.

So, I'm feeling a lot better about things, and very excited now!

I picked up my laptop. :) But we can't do anything with it until we get that router! :rotfl2: It does fit nicely in my bag. :rolleyes1

Robyn - Does Eric know how to tell if a wireless network is secure? The Geek Squad guy was telling me if the network is open then any of our neighbors or whoever can use our network, and that leaves us vulnerable to hacking. He said the wireless routers on the shelf have all of the security features disabled. They will (for the BARGAIN price of $170) come to our house and make sure our network is secure. I am betting Uncle1 can already do that, but I was wondering HOW on determines if the network is secure?

For it to be secure, you need to enter a code to use it (you set the router up with the code so you know what it is). Some of them allow you to set the code once and you don't have to reenter it. Some you have to enter the code every time you connect. I'm sure Uncle1 should be able to make sure it is set up properly. If you just can connect to it the first time without any code, it isn't secure!

Thanks, Vicki! The whole thing is so unfamiliar to me - I don't understand. I know there is a code on the bottom of the router that you are supposed to type into each machine you want "networked" but I don't get how if the network is "open" you can prevent other people from accessing it. The machines in my house will have the code entered, but how do you know that access is blocked for other users? Does that make sense? I e-mailed Uncle1 to ask him about it. I imagine the Geek Squad guy was trying to scare me (and it worked) but I was already kind of worried about it.

Hey Designers, I need some help if someone is willing to take this on. My mom, niece & nephew want to iron-on a Tazmanian Devil design onto the pocket of a blue jean long-sleeve shirt for my uncle. I need to use the dark transfer paper so want a background. I have a picture that I found if it works. We want the words "Someone thinks I'm special!". It is only going to be a small design because it is going on the pocket so it can't be too busy.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d191/upturbo/TAZ.jpg

This is the uncle that drove through the blizzard (when the doctor said that no one should try to make it to the hospital) when mom was in the hospital about 2 hours from his place after the accident when dad was killed. He didn't think she should be alone. He is the one that got the Dept. of Transportation orange plow to lead the funeral processional. He took my dad's plans (custom made) and made Becky's bunk beds for her American Girl doll and baby doll. Needless to say, he is a very special uncle. He is only about 5 years older than me and never married. This is the 2nd youngest child of the 13 in my dad's family.

Hi, all! Thanks for being so excited about my trip. Other than dh, the credit card company, and the airlines, you are the only ones that know about it. I can barely contain myself!

I want to think of a way to surprise the kids with it. I know that Laura will need to know in advance, and I'd like her input on a few things. I may keep Miles in the dark until we are ready to leave, though. Any recommedations?

I was all set to go with Pop, since just about everyone who had a preference said Pop. Then I saw that Bernadette would be at ASMusic for very similar dates. (I hadn't been paying attention to anyone's dates, because I never thought I would be going this year.) Now, I'm still deciding between the two. I am also doing the spreadsheets of fun as to whether to have the dining plan or not. I am leaning towards not, because the two that are going with me aren't interested in doing TS every night or going to signature restaurants. I want to see how much we'll be spending on the TS we do plan to do, though, to see.

I'm thinking sticky thoughts, Glynis!

Jennifer, what are your three new Webkinz, and what is the Hallmark deal that allows you to get them free?

I have to start some laundry, but I'll try to be back before ds gets home.

Speaking of Cape May, did you say that is the 14th? What time? Are you doing a big reservation or just all getting individual reservations for the same time? I guess I should see if I can get us in when you are going to be there. I think Laura will survive. ;)

DH and I will be staying at AS Music also, this is a bargain basement trip and he wanted to try something different, we've stayed at Pop and Sports and Music has been refurbed so we chose there. I've posted pictures of myself and as you all know I am a really big girl, and even though I've had success with weight loss recently it will take a whole lot more success before I will no longer be considered a really big girl, don't give it a second thought, us big girls need our Disney fix too. We won't be doing the dining plan and Cape May will probably be our only TS meal, I just hope DH doesn't like the freedom of it so much that he doesn't want to do TS meals at all anymore. :rotfl:

The bank called today to tell us that they have received our appraisal. Everything is in order to close, but we still haven't locked in on a rate yet. The rates keep fluctuating and are currently at 6% :confused3 I plan to keep watching for a while, but we would like to have this all wrapped up before our trip. That gives us 8 weeks. The appraisal came in about $40000 less than we are taxed on. Once I get a copy of the appraisal at closing I will be heading to the tax assessors office to have that corrected. That should save some more money :cool1: I'm not at all disappointed as we have no plans to sell EVER.

Congrats on completing the appraisal, saving money is always a good thing.

That's where the struggle is. I would be so upset if my dd ever thought of meeting a bunch of strangers that she was talking to on the internet (even in a public place). But I just "know" that you are all ok. But I can't describe that to dd.

DH and I met Bernadette and Lizzy in November and it was like meeting an old friend, it surprised me how easy it was. Because that was such a great experience it made we want to join in the meet even more, hence our quick trip in August. When people ask why we are going I tell them we are meeting a group of friends.

I was going to wait until I caught up, but I'll fill y'all in now.

Others won't have that code. It is similar to having a password. It doesn't mean that people can't hack it but that is very unlikely because it would take too long to try to figure the code out. You just want to make sure that you have to enter that code (either from the bottom of the router) or one that you set through software. I'm sure Uncle1 will be able to handle it. Don't let them scare you!!!!!!

Ok I just tried a neat little trick that I read about here on the Dis. This may sound strange or you may already know about it.

For a clogged toilet put 3 drops of dish soap(I used Palmolive, but others were using Dawn)in the toilet & let sit for about 10 minutes. Add about a gallon of warm water & flush.

This actually works & I am so happy :rotfl:

Such good news. :woohoo:

:cool1: :cool1: That's the best news I've heard today :cool1: :cool1:

We don't have that channel, but I am TRYING to remember to watch Travel Channel tonight!

You need to set up the security feature on the router. If I can do it, I'm sure that Uncle1 can :thumbsup2

I was going to offer, but I see that it is already done :thumbsup2

Please send good thoughts to Andrew. He really needs more confidence for this tournament this weekend.
:wizard: you will be great this weekend Andrew.

Here's the recipe that I have, it's my grandmother's

2 cups crushed pretzels
3/4 cup margarine, melted
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
6 oz. box strawberry jell-0
3 tsp sugar
1 cup sugar
1 large container of Cool Whip
20 oz. frozen strawberries

Mixed pretzels, margarine and the 3 tsp of sugar together. Press into 9 x 13 dish sprayed with Pam. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. Mix Jell-o as directed, refrigerate and let thicken for a while. Blend cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar, fold in Cool Whip. Pour over pretzel layer. Add 20 oz frozen strawberries to thickened Jell-o. Pour over creamy layer and chill. You can also just add the Jell-o and then top with the strawberries.

sounds yummy

You can also use crushed pineapple (2 20 oz cans) and mix that with a 1/2 box of instant vanilla pudding (3.4oz size). This way is yummy too!!
do you do this instead of the strawberries and Jello?

Please say prayers for Chuck's SIL Jean and her family. Jean's mother has passed away. Jean is about 10 years older than me and she had an older mother so it was not unexpected due to her age. However, the loss of your mother is never easy!

:rotfl:

DH and I met Bernadette and Lizzy in November and it was like meeting an old friend, it surprised me how easy it was. Because that was such a great experience it made we want to join in the meet even more, hence our quick trip in August. When people ask why we are going I tell them we are meeting a group of friends.

She really isn't as picky as I make her seem, but she does have strong preferences.I like to do CP breakfast early so I can walk up Main St before MK opens but other breakfast meals I like to do late so it is more of a brunch. For the character meals the character interaction seems better when you have a late sitting. Tusker House has Krispy Kreeme donuts and lots of other great pastries. They had lots of fruit, oatmeals, and a carving station with ham.

Happy Friday night, DDA!

I am having a good evening! Went to happy hour with some friends, and after a few glasses of wine, I'm nice and relaxed. ;)

Elizabeth - congrats on the laptop purchase! Good luck getting it set up!

Glynis - I am so happy to hear such great news! How exciting! :wizard:

Karen - I have only cruised DCL, but my aunt and uncle (who cruise exclusively on vacations) only go RCL, and think they are GREAT. We plan to try RCL next. Good luck with the new attendant!

Deb - glad to hear you had a good day with Colby!

We have a misty mate that I bought a couple of years ago at Walmart. It holds about 2 cups of water and has a pump at the top. You pump it to build up pressure then aim the hose where you want to spray. It works well especially with ice water

http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/mistymate_1997_9312251

I've seen this version in a multi pack at BJ's
http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/mistymate_1997_9428657

the top one is a personal size....we used the bigger one....fill with a little bit of ice and water and lasted the entire day.

Glynis, everything sounds perfect! Congratulations! :goodvibes

Isn't it amazing what you can learn around here?

Maybe she keeps the shorts in the bags??? :confused3

That's not a bad idea!

yay! :yay:

They reset mine yesterday (yet again) but this time he said it was definitely the O2 sensor. The light came back on this morning. We are now looking at new cars....

Oh, my! Well, new cars can be fun.

:lmao: The show just stated strollers are $8-$10 per day. It's already out of date and it's the first time it aired.

So much for accuracy!

Oh, it's not that I think anyone here would judge. I just have a self-esteem problem sometimes. :)

We love you, Beth! :goodvibes

I am stunned that the family is letting their kids jump on the beds!!!

Thank you! Barbarians. :sad2:
I thought it was hilarious that nobody managed to stay more than 4 nights. I found it interesting how EMPTY some of the shots were - like the safari vehicle, one of the long views at MK, Disney Quest, etc. The family at Lion King were sitting in handicapped seating. At one point the commentator said at COUNTER service you can get all-you-can-eat. Trail's End isn't COUNTER service. I was blown away that people with 4 nights at WDW are spending thier time renting a pontoon boat and playing frisbee. Don't they have a frisbee AT HOME? I just don't get that mentality. I fell asleep shortly after the kids jumping on the beds. I'll have to watch Sunday.

Just looked at the Travel Channel website to find out what time the shows are scheduled to be on Sunday morning.

Disney: On a Dime 9am
Disney: Splurge 10am
Samantha Brown's Disney Favorites 11am

Thanks!

My condolences on the Kitchen remodel. Remodeling sucks...

:cool1: For the new night attendant:cool1:

Ditto! I hope the new attendant works out!

Uncle1 said the Geek Squad guy is trying to scare me. He said we won't have any problem setting up a secure network. :)
We turned the laptop on just to see if any of our neighbors have a network that would show up, but they don't. Which means it must be easier to secure it than Geek Squad wants me to think it is.
The Geek Squad guy had some sort of device. He said the device detects open networks, and from there the device would allow him to log on to any machine connected to that network. YIKES! Obviously if he has one then there are bound to be people other than Geek Squad employees who have them and can use them for ID theft. I don't think the laptop will have anything on it worth hacking. I am more nervous about connecting my desktop to the wireless network.

Do any of you use personal misters at Disney during the summer months? We are trying to make sure we are covered for the warmth of June. If you do use something, what do you have?

I know you said you decided on the Misty Mates, but I'll throw in my two cents anyway. I've never had a misty mate, because they seemed to big for my personal taste. The fans on top of a spray bottle are what we started with, but even those were entirely too bulky filled with water, to really utilize on a regular basis. We always ended up leaving them at home.

Before our May trip, we found a similar thing that literally fits in the palm of your hand. It's a fan that is that small, and the whole thing fills with water. It works just as well as the larger one, and is so much more compact. Just something to think about, becuase they can all get very heavy filled up! And if you (or we anyway) tucked them away so as not to have to carry them, they never got used.

At his lesson today Patrick let me know that a video he and his parish submitted for the Papal visit was one of the finalists. He wrote the music for it and plays on it too. What an honor to have had it chosen over hundreds and hundreds of submittals from all over the country!

My DD had a misty mate or something like it. She also had a stroller to park it on, as it was really heavy when she filled it with water and ice.

I got a really smal palm sized fan with an itty bitty water bottle connected to it. I bought it for $5 at our Save Mart. Granted it only lasted the one trip, (about 10 days) but it hooked right onto my belt loop. I used it in every line. It was compact and worked just fine.

My DD's giant mister fan that she bought at WDW for about $18 also made it one trip. It was so powerful that it cooled the folks behind her too! She loved it, but like I said, she had a stroller to cart it around in. It was really heavy.

I've only cruised on Disney - but would say that RCCL has a better price. With Disney, you really do pay for the name brand product. RCCL also may have better ports of call on a shorter itinerary if you're looking for something besides Nassau.

My desk is cleared off, and the papers are filed or shredded. The problem is now my back is so sore I can't move! :rotfl2: I need to dust and vacuum in the dining room, then I need to tackle that bathroom.

Vicki - You win on the biggest grocery bill! :scared1: I need to go grocery shopping, too, but that will probably be tomorrow.

Chanon - Sorry you had to work today!

The yard work is done and now I hear a bubble bath calling my name. . . .
I only suffered two ant bites so that's not too bad.

Deb - I looked at the bag on Disney shopping and I love it but it is too small, I found one at Target that will work for $39.99 so I'll probably go with that.

Jen - Sounds like you need to go back to bed and take it easy.

Happy Saturday, DDA!

Sounds like everyone is being productive! I am giving myself another 30 mins. of computer time (waiting for a call back from the GF Bakery, which they have promised at 2 p.m. their time), and then I'll be trying to work on packing and things. Jonathan and I are also going to a Jimmy Buffett concert tonight, so that should be interesting!

Yes, my brother is going to join my mom and me for the first 2 days of our trip. I haven't seen him since late June of last year, so I do think it will be good to see him. He seems to be doing fairly well in Florida, and has been sober, so that is good. But - the 3 of us in close proximity for a few days....needless to say, I'm counting on the Disney magic to really work here.

When my mom decided to come with me on this trip, she thought that we should take a day and drive down to visit my DB (he lives about 3.5 hrs. from Orlando now). I had actually been thinking of seeing if he wanted to come up for a day as an early Mother's Day surprise - we have some rain checks from our soggy MNSSHP last year, giving a day's admission to the MK, which I thought he could use. So, that surprise was ruined, but at least I didn't have to give a day up at Disney! ;)

Well, somehow, 1 day turned into 2 days. He just got his FL driver's license yesterday, so he'll be able to get a 1-day PH for a significantly cheaper price than regular guests.

I have also been dealing the last few days in trying to order a special Mother's Day surprise cake for my mom to be delivered to our room. Needless to say, it is not proving very easy, and I'm really disappointed that they don't seem to have a lot of creativity. You know it's there - they do all those great wedding cakes! And I'm not asking them to do it for a pittance, either - I'm willing to pay for a nice cake. We'll see what the latest call this afternoon produces.

For those of you looking for a bag for your laptops - I actually looked and looked, and didn't find one I liked, as computer bags were a bit restrictive. What I ended up doing was buying a padded sleeve for my laptop, and then I just slip that in any bag I'm carrying.

I am finished (mostly) with the dining room. I have the tablecloth in the washer. I almost killed the vacuum cleaner. I got the corner of the dustrag and the vacuum tried to devour the whole rag! :scared: DH had to help me do a little vacuum maintenance after that but I think it is OK now. :rolleyes1 Who knew the dining room would be ALMOST as dangerous as the kitchen?

I've been picking up extra stuff for months. I kept tossing it in the camper as I knew that it would be pricey to do it all at once. I still have a lot to buy, but I'm better than usual for this time of year.

We managed to untap the entire orchard in about 2 hours :cool1: I am so glad to have that behind us. It usually takes much longer so I guess we had pixie dust behind us today :cool1:

I came home and searched online for a nice race scanner for Chris. That will be his father's day/birthday present. Last year he borrowed one, but since the race here is a week before the Daytona Race that he is attending, all his buddies will be needing them here. Oh well he will have them for future years too. I made sure to order a scanner with 2 headsets in case I go again :rolleyes1

Chris has gone with my Dad to pick up a tractor that Dad bought at an auction. It is an old farm tractor. I guess he plans to use it at camp to haul wood out :confused3 Chris also had a call from the Lacrosse Program that the boys are playing in. They asked him to be an assistant coach :cool1:  He was so happy when I left. He had been disappointed earlier when they said they didn't need him.

Overall I guess It's been a good day. I need to go shopping later, but I'll wait for Chris to come home to watch the boys. It will be much nicer going by myself.

I've heard you guys talking about the diver at Coral Reef holding up signs. I'm thinking that might be fun as an early anniversary suprise for Chris. How would I go about trying to do that? I may order a cake at some point too. My nephews birthday is the first whole day that we are there, but we don't have a TS meal planned that day. I may pick a different day and have one delivered. Maybe at WCC. Who would I contact to get a cake delivered there?

I don't know if the information for the diver/sign is in that thread or not. It's been a while since I read it.

The parades are a pain. I don't like the current MK one, so that makes it easier! :rotfl2: We have seen the AK one, but I still like it. Chuck, I & the girls have done LaNouba and absolutely loved it. My niece really wants to see it so mom is treating all of us.

We will do counter service for LaNouba night. We will probably do Earl of Sandwich and/or Wolfgang Puck Express. That has been the other interesting thing about this trip. I'm trying to keep it as inexpensive as I can for my sister but get some things in there that will be fun for the kids and save character lines.

We are doing CRT breakfast, Crystal Palace lunch, WCC dinner and Tusker House breakfast. We do have DDE so that will save some money.

Honestly, Vicki, it looks a little ambitious. But you already know that, so you already understand that you might not manage all of those things. :)
When we have tried to go to PM EMH at MK in August it has been so packed we couldn't move. June may not be as bad. I think the biggest issue will be crowds and the amount of time it takes to move your group from point A to point B. If the kids want to get in the pool at the resort and then rest afterwards it will consume mass amounts of time.
Even though DS appears to have boundless amounts of energy at home, WDW wears him out. He fights about getting up in the morning, fights about getting up from nap, and falls asleep on the buses. On the other hand, he argues about going to sleep at night and claims he doesn't need naps. We can't do AM EMH and make it all the way through fireworks more than once every few days, even with a break.

You'll figure it all out! You guys are going to have a wonderful time! :goodvibes

So what would you give up? Remembering that this could be the only time my niece & nephew get to Disney in their childhood. I'm thinking of giving up WCC, the campfire, singalong & movie. I put that in there because it is something that I remember from when we stayed when I was little. However, my sister does not remember it.

We usually take a 2 hour break at the resort. I have that in there for most days. It is just Sunday and Thursday that I'm concerned about for those.

We won't stay until the end of EMH every night. We will just be there until we are ready to head out which will probably be 11pm most nights. My sister and her kids are very early risers! I mean very early! I'm not worried about them making it to the parks early. My girls can sleep in if they want. They don't have to be at everything with us.

Vicki your schedule looks a little hectic, but then it looks like the schedule I have made for August :rotfl: I normally do not bother with the early morning hours, but with going in the hottest part of the year I plan on trying them this time. I love extra hours at night, so we will be doing those as well. If we get to burnt out, we will slow down & just hang out at the resort for a while. I do plan on breaks everyday, so hopefully that will help as well. The only parade I am interested in seeing is the new one at HS.

That's what I'm struggling with. The staying out late is only if people are up to it. I doubt that they will. However, my sister was adamant that her kids would be on the go the whole time. I know she is wrong but I have to have it on there for now.

These are my concerns. But other than that, I see it as a fun vacation with family, and there are also enough adults to take a break with the kids if they seem to start getting burned out. :thumbsup2 You do good Vicki. :teeth:

ETA: Apparently I'm go go go too because I have Vicki seeing Illuminations at 9 and then Wishes by 10! I must have everyone apperating! :rotfl:

That's what I'm struggling with. The staying out late is only if people are up to it. I doubt that they will. However, my sister was adamant that her kids would be on the go the whole time. I know she is wrong but I have to have it on there for now.

We all felt rotten on our Epcot day (not sure why but we did). That day holds some awesome memories because we took it slow. We rode Soaring twice with minimal wait either time, hardly any wait anywhere. Mine was going to get in line to meet Belle and the Beast and being told to come back in 15 minutes...we waited. Out comes the handlers and Belle and the Beast. Huge group of giggling teens wanted to jump in front of us...handler wouldn't allow it. Then Beast and I played for about 10 minutes....oh I had fun.:lovestruc Belle was great too.:rotfl:

Cassidy and Abi just said one of the best memories was meeting the Brooks family. :goodvibes(that was a higlight for me too:cutie: )

Did you get my message? :teeth:
I know there isn't really a bad seat for LaNouba but now that I've booked and got our seats, I'm second guessing myself. We got section 205 GG 7-14. We were in section 202 BB (closest to the 203 section) on the last trip and they were awesome seats.
Looks like good seats to me! I put clients in this section all the time.

See! I knew you'd have it under control! :teeth:
Do you want to hear something depressing? There is white stuff coming down outside!
That means it's further north than Cleveland...let's keep it that way!

Well, Tammi and her clan had great weather for Nicholas' party today. :)
My washer is sitting in my backyard and the new Maytag will be delivered and installed tomorrow morning, according to the delivery service. The outdoor floodlights have been reinstalled and the flourescent fixture in the laundry room has been replaced.

I also purchased and then put down 8 bags of mulch, planted some geraniums and put out 4 hanging baskets. My garden has begun!

I am exhausted!
Congrats on the gardening! I wish I had gotten my hosta's transplanted today.

Do you remember where you got them?

04-26-2008, 07:28 PM
Well, I did it! We are booked at Pop. The CM said that there were no codes attached to my name or AAA discounts available for Pop or All-Stars but that I should try back in May to see if there are any other discounts. Not sure what that means, because I haven't been keeping any code watches, but I'll give it a try.

I also did Tusker House for the 16th.

Here you go, Deb! All the information you could want about cakes and more...

I don't know if the information for the diver/sign is in that thread or not. It's been a while since I read it.

I need to decide whether to get a cake for Laura. The diver with the sign, and the personalized menu at Coral Reef sound great, but I know that neither of my younger two would be overly happy with the menu there.

Now you guys have me thinking of Coral Reef for our Anniversary so I could do the diver and cake. Or just order a cake love the cakes on the thread you posted Beth

deb when are your dates at disney? i saw that at ft wilderness they have a machine to make name tags(like they have at petsmart/petco) in disney shapes. let me know because i might get u to do something for me.

June 28 - July 18

If this were just a trip for Chuck, I & the girls, it wouldn't look anything like this. Actually, this looks similar to the one from our first trip which I thought would be my one & only.

Since Star Wars week-end was added, I have even more added in there. That totally threw things off for me.

It will certainly be full days. Go with the flow, break if need, keep going if not. Less park hopping my be beneficial :confused3 I don't think I'd give up your down day with TL and WCC. You will all need a break by that point.

Vicki, I will take a serious look at the schedule and let you know which spots I think will cause issues. I forgot you are going during Star Wars weekends. You might want to attempt to do a search (or start a new thread) to get some strategies about crowds at MGM. DH and DS have always wanted to go so I have read a fair amount of threads & trip reports. It sounds like some things get REALLY congested (almost to the point of being scary).

I just got in from babysitting and I need a snack. We have no groceries. DH made hot dogs and tater tots for dinner before I left, but I don't eat tater tots so I am starving!

I am home! My weekend is going well and it has really reminded me how much I miss camp. The weather was gorgeous at camp but the mayflies are out in full force. There were a few issues but nothing major. The baseball game went well despite the fact that the home team lost.

The baseball sleepover was canceled/postponed as it was super windy and there are severe thunderstorms on there way that direction. Even without the thunderstorms, the tents would have been tumbling all over with no one in them as no stakes are allowed. Which could be quite hazardous itself. I also think my face is windburned.

I was just walking out to my car after the game, when it started to rain. So we lucked out on that regards, we are working on rescheduling the sleepover.

Tomorrow I have Gold Award ceremony, birthday party and studying.

OK... let me throw a few figures out here and see if I get any response. The last time we shopped for a new car was in 1982! We have bought used cars since then and always from a dealer who was a close friend. So this is fairly new territory to me. We are looking at a Hyundai because of their warranty and their cash rebate offers right now. They are also rated fairly high by owners and experts alike, so seems a no-brainer. We will keep it for 10+ years in all likelihood.

We priced them out on the Hyundai website and also on edmunds.com before calling for a quote. So, all prices are including the rebates on each model.

The Elantra was $17,800 on Hyundai's site, and Edmunds said a fair price would be $16,080; the dealer offered $16,000.

The Sonata (which has twice the cash rebate) priced out at $18,270, $17,452 and the quote from the dealer was $16,500.

How low do you think we could offer? I would hate to be way out of line in an initial offering since it appears they have been right about on target with what is considered a good offer according to all financial info I can gather. But I would also like to pay the very least I can for this car. Bob will probably need a newer car for work soon, too. So that is a consideration in trying to pay the least we can.

Any thoughts from seasoned car buyers??

I think your cake decorating is very professional looking, Robyn. Too bad the hours won't work out for you. Maybe in the near future you could think of doing it out of your home!

Thanks, Elin. I have in the past sold many many cakes, but I hate the mess in my house. My kitchen is way too small.

Have fun car shopping today!

Do you want to hear something depressing? There is white stuff coming down outside!

 I would cry! I hope it was a fluke, and it's beautiful today!

we saw Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale! Just at breakfast, though.

We saw those, plus Stitch, if I recall correctly.

Do you remember where you got them?

We saw them at Walmart, for literally $2 or $3. They take a AA battery and work wonderfully. I wish we would have bought more, but I wasn't sure they would work and/or get used. I'll try and find a picture, or find the fan so I can take one and you can see what you'd be looking for. For that price, you can't go wrong trying! :rotfl:

ETA: Here they are. They have O2-cool on the side (I guess a brand?) and have a little caribiner even to hook on...whatever!

http://www.toydirectory.com/monthly/images/ReviewsImages/Key-Chain-Misting-Fan.jpg

We only saw the greenish/blue ones, so we have 2 of those. As far as I remember, they were only hanging on one of those vertical shelving units attached to the endcap. I was lucky to have seen it, and when we looked last year we couldn't find any more. Maybe they can be purchased online?

Hi all...

The party is over, thank goodness, and we are exhausted. It was gorgeous outside, thanks for the pixie dust! Molly really enjoyed all the fun and spending time with her friends.

Here are a few pics from today. None of the pics I took of the cake turned out great, one spot or another was blurry. :headache:

The pictures are all wonderful... and I must say I'm blown away by the cake! Wonderful job! :)

Tammi-Glad you had such good weather!
Robyn-looks like a great party!

I think that I was asleep by 9pm last night. Eric fixed me a glass of wine and all I remember was finishing that and then laying down on the couch. I woke up this morning at 6:30 when Molly came down. I don't think I moved.

Today Emma has a soccer game at 12:30 and Molly, Lucy and I are headed to a birthday party. Eric and Emma will hopefully be able to make it for the very end. The party is at one of those extreme bounce places. Should be fun.

After we get home we need to clean the house and put away our mountains of clean laundry.

Janet I agree with Elin, go ahead and get your hair cut.

I always wait until I can't stand it anymore then get mine cut. Of course this last time, seems my hair just doesn't want to grow back. :confused3

I love this picture!! EVERYBODY looks happy. :lovestruc
Thanks.

But the big question is...Did the EX show up for DS big day?

I'm glad your day was a success.Yes, he came to the church. I invited him to the house party but he declined to come. He is also not coming to Alyssa's bday party today.

Tammi love the pictures, you have a beautiful family including your new one :goodvibes

Thanks Elin, I will post a picture if I do :thumbsup2

deb would you mind getting me a dog tag at ft wilderness while you are there? i am not sure where the machine is. i will have to call you to give you the dogs name because i wont know it till the 14 of july.

well my new attendant started today and at 9 said she cant do it because how the first pay falls. i understand where she is coming from but im in a lurch now with no night attendant. olivia is coming tomorrow but i still need another night attendant. UGH!!!:furious:

I wouldn't mind at all. I'll give you my cell number before we leave:thumbsup2

Night all! Hope your weekends are going well!:thumbsup2

With as much as you have on your plate it is probably a good thing that it was postponed. I'm sure you had much better sleep.

OK... let me throw a few figures out here and see if I get any response.

I would think whatever you found for a fair price less the cash rebates would be a good offer. The offers they gave you are considered fair, but I would think the cash rebates would be in addition to as those are from the Manufacturer, not the dealer :confused3 That is just my opinion as we buy for $100 over invoice and actually get to see the invoice. A little benny of Chris' job :thumbsup2

:wizard: and 's to all.

Robyn, the picture of the cake was adorable!!! I think it turned out great! Looked like everyone enjoyed themselves! I agree about Moon Sand. Santa brought some for stocking stuffers a couple of years ago, and I secretly threw it all away when the kids went back to school. I HATE IT!

Yes, we did have wonderful weather. I can't believe there wasn't a drop of rain, and the skies were blue. Stupid weatherpeople!

Mass was beautiful. I am so proud of my little man. The cookout went off without a hitch, and the kitchen is cleaned up. I will try to post some pictures a little later. Thanks for all the :wizard:. It sure helped!

I'm so glad things went well!!!

We sent you our warm weather! We were supposed to have highs in the 70's, but we never got above 55. So, you are most welcome!

Tell Nicholas how proud I am of him! What a wonderful young man he is! (and what a wonderful mommy he has, too! Believe me, he'll remember this day forever!)
