This was really cool. http://www.youtube.com/v/4S213qVZFN8&hl=en

Question for those of you who have flown with infants before? did you get them their own seat or let them sit in your lap?

We never bought them a seat when they were still young enough to sit in our laps.

I just spent the last 45 minutes seperating laundry....I think I have been a bad girl in not doing laundry:scared:

If I did it all tonight...I'd bet I'd get done tomorrow!!:rotfl:

At JcPenney Cassidy found a formal for $8 and I found matching shirts for the girls for $3...total!!:cheer2:

That sounds like phenominal deals :thumbsup2

Well, I got a washing machine. I think it is the same one you got, Janet. I've done 2 loads, sheets and towels, and am finding out that it doesn't take nearly as much soap as the other one. It was 470 at Sears and I got a 12% cash back mail in rebate. The only problem..................now my tv stopped working! :faint:

Yea for the washer and boo for the tv. I hope you can find a new one or get the old one working.

Amy and Alyssa brought us dinner from the Cheesecake Factory tonight! It was wonderful visiting with them, and they didn't even mind that I looked bedrested and Kyle had worked 32 hours straight not long before they arrived. :goodvibes

AND, they came bearing gifts! You all are too much :flower3: Kyle and I could not believe the generosity of this group! I don't even know how to begin to thank you guys! Amy took some pictures, and hopefully they aren't too horrifying! ;) She promised to post them sooner than she posts her vacation pictures, or the pictures of her newborn children for that matter :teeth:

Kyle has already put the swing together, and we are absolutely enamored with it. I have decided that I desperately need an adult-sized one now, and also that we can't wait to put a baby or two in the baby-sized one! :lovestruc Alyssa also bought me a Webkinz lion, to help pass some time while I'm here on bedrest. I've looked into it just a little bit, and have decided that I should have no excuse but to be a Webkinz pro, since it appears there is more to do on that site than anyone would ever have time for, unless they were stuck on the couch.

Thank you again, for caring so much about these girls (and me!). You are really a phenomenal group of women (and men!) that I am blessed to know. :grouphug:

Can't wait to see pictures. You can add me to your webkinz friends list. I'm my3princes there too :goodvibes It is fun and addicting. I haven't found time to play much lately, but I've done my share in the past :upsidedow

It has been another tiring day here. After work I tackled the boys room, oh my :faint: I did not realize how many clothes they had. I have two extremely large trash bags full for Goodwill. I finally talked the boys into letting me get rid of all their stuffed animals. I am so glad, I have been wanting to toss these for years!

Anyway the boys room looks much better & I am done cleaning for the night. We have large trash day coming up Wednesday, so a lot of stuff is being tossed away to make room for the new :thumbsup2

Deb I showed Gary your nice hallway & now he is considering doing our entryway like this. I told him it looks to complicated for me :rotfl:

It sounds like you are making progress on your house :thumbsup2 Tell Gary that the painting is VERY labor intensive. Only do it if you really want to invest time.

The concert was amazing, if I do say so myself! I still feel a bit rocky, and am hoping that a full night's sleep will help. See you all in the morning.

Feel better :wizard:

So here are Emma's new outfits. I had trouble with the buttonholes on the Buzz one. I hope fray check really works. I guess I shouldn't have tried it late at night.
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e292/lovesdumbo/DSC07930.jpg

Here's the Nemo outfit. I like it better with the capris that somehow ended up more like bermuda shorts. And Emma LOVES it so that is what really matters.

Today did not work out as planned. I started the day by scrubbing the tub. From there I did some laundry and quickly cleaned Nick and Hunter's rooms. Then Chris and I ran out to Walmart to get my missing bag and to BJ's to fill 3 propane tanks. While we were gone my MIL called looking for us. Well she called my DB's house and he said that we would be home soon. So she and her BF came over. They drove separate cars mind you as we needed to see both of their new convertibles. Can you say Mid Life crisis:scared: We mentioned that we were trying to get our house together for our appraisal tomorrow and she said she was only staying for a minute. 5 hours later she finally left. I had gone to work long before that. Needless to say we did not get as much accomplished as we had hoped. When she is here we need to drop everything to entertain her, unlike my parents who dig in and help. She always has a sob story and wants the world to feel sorry for her. This time is was Chris' niece that she feels needs to "catch a break" Her x-boyfriend is suing her for full custody of their daughter. Then she proceeds to tell us that she has no job, is living with the father that abused her as a child. She dropped out of school, but that wasn't her fault as she got pregnant. Nothing is ever her fault. We basically told her that niece needs to get a job and an apartment and learn to take care of herself if she wants to be a mommy. Things are not handed to people, they need to work for them. That was NOT what she wanted to hear :confused3 Of course she also complained about other things, but it really isn't worth my time to type it out. Chris gets so frustrated every time she visits.

With that I'm off to bed.

Yesterday our youngest son moved to Florida. :sad1: Apparently he has been seriously thinking of this for over a year. I just found out a few weeks ago. Needless to say, I am devistated over this. I have always told my kids they could do what they wanted. If they wanted to leave the area, so be it. I have lived all over and have seen a lot, and if they need to travel they would have our blessing. It would be sad, but I have to think they would always come home to visit sooner or later when they could afford it.

Ever since he was in the Navy, I knew he would be the one to travel. Then one night going back to the base in Georgia, he was helping to drive back with two other friends. Because the owner of the truck was really tired, Steve offered to drive his truck. So the friend and his other friend, JJ were driving in JJ's car. It was raining and the car hit water and went off the road, across the medium and hit head-on a tractor trailer. The other young man was literally cut in half by the seat belt and Steve helped to try and find the body in the pouring rain. He later said all he could smell was gasoline.

I always knew he had never gotten over this and this past year was really sure of it. The accident happened almost 10 years ago, but it is something one can never forget. He even was asked to accompany JJ's body home to Ohio. After that, he admitted to doing drugs and then started drinking. He got out of the Navy and came home and did all kind of jobs. He has done masonry and seems to be really good at what he does. He got hooked up with a girl he had met while knowing JJ and his family. Apparently they kept in touch and now he is moving down there and she is gonna help him get back on track. I have to keep telling myself that he needs time and hopefully this will help.

He was trying to get ready for the past week to go down. His idea was to drive a van down that is older than the hills. He got an hour down the road yesterday and called us to say that he had a flat tire so we had to get the spare (which he did not have in the van) :headache: and drive down to get it to him. I made him call me every so often so I knew he was doing okay.
He finally arrived today at about noon after leaving yesterday at 5pm after the tire problem. This youngest son of mine is 29 years old and I keep waiting for him to grow up. :lmao:

Sorry for rambling on like this, but I just needed to get this out of my system.

Hi Gang,

Josie came to live with us and she is hiding out on the pile of things that my youngest has put in the basement. There has been a lot of hissing and deep growling going on. :lmao:
I figure she will be eating with the gang in two days.

I hope they are getting along soon! :)

The concert was amazing, if I do say so myself! I still feel a bit rocky, and am hoping that a full night's sleep will help. See you all in the morning.

Are you feeling any better this morning?

I didn't think the cards were any different. I have a Sony so I use a memory stick which tend to be more expensive but I've done well on Black Friday. I think I paid $15 for my last 2GB stick. I have 595 photos on the stick in my camera now with room for 60 more at 7mp. I have to backup the photos from Joe's birthday trip (and all photos since) so I can erase them off the sticks before my trip.

I know there is a difference in processing speed, but I don't know about anything else. I read up on it once, when XD cards used to be a lot more expensive, instead of just a small percentage more. It made me mad! :rotfl: I'll have to refresh my memory.

So here are Emma's new outfits. I had trouble with the buttonholes on the Buzz one. I hope fray check really works. I guess I shouldn't have tried it late at night.

Will do, once I figure it out! Last night I had to stop because my computer, the internet, or the site (can't figure out which -- I'm blaming it on the site) were so slow and wonky that it was too frustrating.... so I've seen VERY little of it, other than adopting pets!

Yesterday our youngest son moved to Florida.
...

Sorry for rambling on like this, but I just needed to get this out of my system.

Please don't apologize! This must be very hard on you guys. I will keep him (and you!) in my thoughts and prayers while he transitions. I hope it ends up being very good for him!

I hope your son's friend is as good for him as a friend of Kristin's was for her 4 years ago. He was amazingly able to help her get to the basis of what really was wrong at a time of great turmoil in her life that I couldn't see. I think being the mother and loving so strongly sometimes gets in our way. One of the reasons Kristin is the special person she is today is because of this internet relationship that has lasted 12 years. I will be forever indebted to Kev for the changes he wrought in her life.

I am praying that your son's friend is a strong woman too, Terry.

We are still having rain today and it is also forecast for tomorrow. I don't know exactly how much we got, but a neighbor who has a rain gauge said it overflowed yesterday and it normally holds 3 inches! Our reservoirs ought to be FULL now! We made our reservations for the Bertram Inn yesterday. Yesterday on her way into Boston for the day (she was volunteering for the Boston Marathon) Kathrin walked down to the area where the inns are located. She was able to walk into both the Bertram Inn and the Samuel Sewall Inn and look around. Although she said that both seem lovely there was something about the Bertram Inn that she liked better. That was how I felt looking at their websites too, so I called and made our reservations.

Here are a few photos I was able to lift from their website. I think this will be a very relaxing time for us! :goodvibes

Here is all I can find about yesterday's storms (from the AP):

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Portions of central and eastern Virginia were under a flood advisory Monday as residents and officials assessed damage from storms that moved through several counties in the Richmond area.

Hanover County authorities said severe thunderstorms that moved through the area Sunday cut a 4-mile swath of destruction, damaging homes, downing trees and power lines and making driving hazardous. Similar damage was reported in New Kent and King William counties.

The National Weather Service had issued tornado warnings in the area, but it was unclear whether the damage was caused by a tornado. Weather-service officials said crews would assess the damage Monday.

Forecasters say up to 6 inches of rain fell in some parts of the Richmond area Sunday, where state police responded to 31 crashes.

Police said most were weather-related, with drivers hydroplaning and striking trees or guardrails or overturning.

In Maryland, the National Weather Service has confirmed that the damaging storms that tore through portions of Prince George's and Charles counties on Sunday were small tornadoes.

Both struck between 2 and 3 p.m.

The Weather Service says the first apparently touched down just south of Waldorf, then headed north -- damaging roofs and bringing down tree branches.

OK, those of you who use minimus... do you have the box delivered to the resort or to your home? I am famous for buying travel-sized products to take along on vacation. But I see no point in buying them on there (unless it is at a GREAT discount) and having to haul them on a plane.

:goodvibes

Absolutely GORGEOUS! I'm glad you are feeling better today! :goodvibes

Thanks! And the hope that fraycheck will work!

I do feel better. :woohoo:

We made our reservations for the Bertram Inn yesterday. Looks lovely!

OK, those of you who use minimus... do you have the box delivered to the resort or to your home? I am famous for buying travel-sized products to take along on vacation. But I see no point in buying them on there (unless it is at a GREAT discount) and having to haul them on a plane.I ship right the resort. I also order snacks as their prices are pretty reasonable-especially on the individual cereal bowls. They are on the west coast so allow pleanty of time for shipping. I'm hoping to order today.

Cute outfits, Bernadette! But really, get some velcro. ;)
Thanks! My SIL from St Louis arrives on Tuesday night so I hope she'll give me a lesson-and make the buttonholes on the 2 outfits that need them-maybe I'll have another 1 or 2 or 3 completed for her to do.;)

I only returned one thing. Now I am tired. :rotfl: I had weird not-quite-nightmares last night so I don't feel very rested.

But guess what I found at Marshall's? A Baggalini sling bag!! It is a small one that will be perfect for the parks! And the Nine West one I bought to be my new park bag can be my regular purse (for around here). I have looked for weeks and can't find a purse I like. My current one is a mess because the cats like the chew the handles (the vinyl must taste good).

So the Baggalini is kind of a weird green. Not quite DIS lime, somewhere between spring green and the inside of an avocado. It's not as ugly as it sounds. And it was only $12.99. :)

I was thinking the same thing about their cereals. Kristin eats Special K and I like the low-fat granola with yogurt. I could be persuaded to use milk on it, I suppose. ;)

Bob loves to have snacks on-hand in the room so some of those looks like they would work too. And the prices for mini deodorant/antiperspirants also look comparable to what I pay here, so those make sense.

Have you tried their sunscreen towelettes? I have thought those would be nice to throw in if I could find them locally.

It certainly wouldn't take long to make up a $20 order.

My van passed the safety inspection, but not the emissions. Seems the oxygen sensor is bad, which explains why my check engine light keeps coming on. It shouldn't, and I use that word very loosely, be a major expense, just an inconvenience of taking it back to the shop, having it diagnosed and a part ordered. Thanks for the PD!

The Nine West one is very deep and it has 3 sections. Only the middle section unzips - the other 2 are just big, deep pouches that would make bag check a big pain.

Tammi - I hope your emissions issue isn't expensive to fix! :wizard:

I have been looking at sushi from CA Grill on the food porn thread. DS is just fascinated with Japan and Japanese culture and food, so he insists that he likes sushi. He really has only had California rolls a few times, and a tuna thing at Citrico's (that was really good!). I told DH we will probably let DS order from the kids menu for dinner, but choose some sushi from the adult menu. The people with the giant sushi platter on the food porn thread are obviously better at this sushi thing than I am, because they ordered stuff that wasn't on the menu! And they said it was really good. So I need to try to remember what to ask for in addition to the menu stuff.

With all of this back and forth flying to KC I am still quite certain that DS is in no way ready to fly ANYWHERE unaccompanied. I'm glad Christopher will have someone with him. I hope your slumber party is cozy! :rotfl2:

Bernadette - Is this the SIL that makes the hats? She should be able to figure out the buttonhole thing. :thumbsup2

But guess what I found at Marshall's? A Baggalini sling bag!! It is a small one that will be perfect for the parks!
Yes! She also makes dolls, period doll clothes, her DD's wedding gown-very elaborate Vicotorian thing. I think she can do a buttonhole!

LOVE your Baggalini!

I've never used the sunscreen toweletts.

Bernadette
what all do you order from minimus? I saw they were advertising on the Dis
I got deoderant, powder, Qtips, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, floss, laundry soap to do wash in the sink, eyeglass repair kit, small sunscreen, peanuts, cashews, granola bars, oyster crackers, cereal bowls, fritos, pringles.....

Thanks to Elizabeth I bought a few packets of lemon juice for ice tea.

Thanks for the PD!:wizard:

Has anyone Urodynamics tests run? I went to the Urologist today about the severe Stress Incontinence.

  Wow, that is a lot to have to deal with. I hope that things go well for him:hug:  does that mean more trips to Florida for you?:goodvibes

:goodvibes

Our suite which was once the library of the home. It has a full wall of bookshelves, sunken bathroom with separate shower room and beautiful mission-style decor:

It looks heavenly

Please send some PD that my van passes inspection. I can't afford another bill!!!!

It shouldn't, and I use that word very loosely, be a major expense, just an inconvenience of taking it back to the shop, having it diagnosed and a part ordered. Thanks for the PD!

I'm not sure what kind of van you have. I asked Chris what an O2 sensor goes for. He thinks about $200 plus an hour labor.

That does not sound like a fun day. I hope they can help with the SI issue. I've known a few people that have had success with the sling surgery. I don't have any info other than they were happy with the results.

Chris-
Nice truck! I love the color!!!

It is the same color as his old truck. We had wanted Salsa red, Pyrite or blue, but there are none out there at the moment and we didn't want to miss out on 0% financing which could end at the end of this month. It is huge. There is a ton of room in the back seat which is perfect for the boys. There is more passenger room in the truck than in the car. His coworkers are reporting better gas mileage than in the older models. Hopefully this is a win win purchase.

The appraiser was here at 9:30 AM. She was here for about 30 minutes. I have no idea how it will turn out as she was NOT personable. It was kind of like talking to the wall. :confused3 At least it is over for now. I'm sure it will come through for way more than we are refinancing so I'm not real worried about that. We could use some :wizard: That the rates drop for at least a day so that we can take advantage as we haven't locked in yet and the rates are up to 6% again.

After the appraisal Colby and I ran a couple of errands then met Chris to sign the bizillion papers for the truck. I hate the thought of another monthly payment, but the truck size, the fact that we are driving to WDW and the 0% finance rate were just too good to pass up.

After the purchase I came home and started spring cleaning the camper. I like to wipe everything down and use Liquid Gold on the wood paneling as it smells new and looks shiny even when it is several years old :thumbsup2 I didn't finish as Chris came home so we loaded the kids and went for a ride. It's been a rough few weeks but it just really came to a head today. Molly is thrilled to play dress up. Sounds fine, right? But she insists on changing clothes about 1000 times a day. I can handle the dress up phase, it's the fact that she pulls out every single article of clothing- the dress up stuff, her clothes and Emma's. Not one article of clothing ever makes it back to where it should with out a ton of prodding and help. Of course it all happens at rest time when she is in her room. It literally takes us an hour to sort through everything and put it back. 5x week is just pushing me over the edge. And the past few days she has been getting into Emma's stuff and just tossing it here there and everywhere. When rest time is over and I go get her I am amazed that she can even find her way to the door. You can't see the floor. The worse problem- she is quiet as a mouse, or I must be deaf.

Eric spent an hour or so putting 2 sets of child locks on both her dresser and Emma's. They are not Mo proof, however. She managed to changed her pj's. She did put the other pj's away and lock the locks again.

20 years from now I will look back and I am sure just laugh but I am exhausted. She is the Tasmanian Devil.

20 years from now I will look back and I am sure just laugh but I am exhausted. She is the Tasmanian Devil.

Good, she can split her time between Texas and New York!

We showed my parents the truck then came home and made dinner.

Another busy day, but at least I got a break from home improvements ;)

:wizard: for the appraisal. Sounds like a nice albeit busy day.

I LOVED this... not enough to take in a boarder, but it certainly brought a big :teeth: to my face.

The worse problem- she is quiet as a mouse, or I must be deaf.

:rotfl:

What if you impose the "you can't take something else out unless you put something away" rule?

I made the mistake of having all of Alyssa's dress-up costumes on hangers in her closet, which she cannot reach to put things away. But she can get them down! I was devastated when I went in her room one day while she and Bethany were playing. Now they only get to be in ONE costume. Then when they are done the dresses are to be laid neatly on the bed, not strewn across the floor, awaiting for me to put them back on hangers.

Good luck.

Deb - :wizard: for the appraisal.

Vicki - I'm glad you had nice weather for your drive and that your trip was uneventful.

It would work fine if I could enforce it. But she likes to play in her room (Bitty baby and their books) and the playroom (all their big toys are here) in the basement. She gets tired of the boys rather quickly these days. The boys are on the main level all day. And I can't leave the boys unattended for more than it takes for me to hit the potty. I wouldn't have walls left! The stuff in the basement is only for Emma and Molly and not the general population, we've had too many broken toys so their good toys go down there. We fought the battle of her bringing all the playroom toys up and strewing them all over and that has gotten better. She knows that they stay in the playroom now. I guess one step forward, two steps back, huh?

Maybe he'll just hang out in the room and wait for you all to come back! ::yes::

:rotfl2: I think Kristine needs to call and add one more person to all of her ADRs.

I always said if Becky had been first, I wouldn't have had a second. I feel for you!

Robyn, I really do think part of that is an age thing. Sister used to change clothes 5 or 6 times a day on weekends, but nobody tried to stop her! And of course her dress up stuff was never put away properly. Half the time she would wear the dress up stuff and eat chocolate or something else really messy so I would be stuck figuring out how to wash the dress up stuff.
Can you get a trunk/box/bin of some sort and put the things she is allowed to use for dress up in there? When she is finished she must put everything back in the bin. She may NOT pull out regular clothes, pajamas, etc. If she chooses to break the rule then the bin and all of the contents get taken away, and she loses some other privilege for a day or so. Maybe if she does well there might be an incentive, like a new piece of dress up if she keeps things tidy. Good luck!! :wizard:

Princess has swimming today, but we don't have anything else planned. DS has been up for 30 minutes but has yet to emerge from his room, so I need to go hurry him up!

Thank you all, for all of the flattery ;)

I have the white terrier and her name is Sweetpea. She has the Sweets and Treats living room and the ballerina bedroom. She also has a yard that is better landscaped than mine, with a koi pond, swimming pool and vegetable garden. Yes, I'm addicted.

Yeah, see I have two jungle animals, which I love. If I were a child, and not a type-A nutjob adult, it wouldn't be an issue. Kids don't care if a Lion or Tiger is in a ballerina room, or some funky spaceship room. But to me, if there is a jungle theme (and Webkinz makes this worse by giving you the most adorable Throne and Jungle-y bed to start out!)... then they must have their rooms done as such! I'm struggling enough to make their rooms different, when there is only one Jungle theme. I keep telling Kyle that it's ok though, becuase one is a girl -- her room has to be more sophisticated ;) (I don't think he really cares either way, but I thought I'd justify it to him anyway :rotfl: )

The rooms are definitely my downfall. I blow through money so quickly, that I just HAVE to keep playing to get more cash, so I can get "one more thing". My biggest mistake, I think, was needing several rooms to start. I couldn't fathom having a bathtub in the bedroom (seriously, I need something more productive to take on before my brain melts!), so I immediately spent almost all of my money buying a kitchen, bathroom, yard, game/play room, and of course have their bedrooms that came with them. So I can't afford any stuff to put in it, especially since I also "had" to have walls and floors to start! Each room has, like, one necessary item. It's the stupidest looking thing I've ever seen. So of course, the cycle continues..... :rolleyes1

With that, I'm off. You guys were kind of chatty! My mom and sister are coming over after lunch, so I need to get a few things done prior to their arrival. I have a phone call into my OB to see about getting a "pass" for a game we were supposed to go to tonight. Essentially, I begged and made a lot of promises of elevators, wheelchairs, etc. I hope since I'm allowed up a couple of hours anyway, that it won't be a problem. Speaking of Webkinz, who do kids think they are these days?! Coming home from school and quite obviously jamming up the site I've been playing on all day?! :sad2:

All I need is money, because this Webkinz thing is a lot like real life. I buy stuff, waste all my money, dislike things I bought and replace them to waste more money. And now, finally, at 4pm there is some game that gets you bonus money. I happen to be great at it, until the website just throws me out ruthlessly, and now I can't get back on. This wasn't a problem any other time today!

Amy, it's all your fault! :rotfl:

We had a VERY strange weekend. It started Thurs when I found out I printed the wrong judges page for the talent comp program book. :scared1: So I busted my back side and printed another. Then Friday was run around day and make sure everything was ready for Saturday. :upsidedow
Sat came and it was wild and crazy, Cassie helped me sell raffle tickets and cruise tickets as well as some program books.

I got Ellie ready and set up for her performances (she did fabulous) I hope to get them up on her site by next week.
http://www.thereporter.com//ci_89931...hereporter.com (http://www.thereporter.com//ci_8993119?IADID=Search-www.thereporter.com-www.thereporter.com)

Then it was out to sell tickets and program. We sold $320 in program books and raffle tickets. I am happy but a bit sad as well. I had printed over 200 program books and we only sold about 50 of them. The gal who did them last year said she sold out and they were only a few pages and ALL black and white, mine had color and pics from last year as well. Oh well some money is better than no money.

Then the talent scout who came up from Holywood asked Cassie if she like modeling and stuff. She invited Cassie to IPAC as well. :woohoo: After talking to the singing teacher who is taking us to Hollywood, we might have found a way to get Cassie down there (not as a performer) but in and around the ageants etc. We don't have enough $$ to send her as a perormer, we still have not gotten enough for Ellie, but we will make sure she goes.
Carole (the singing teacher who runs the pageants in town) told us Cassie could enter the next pageant for free to get her feet wet. That is a $325 savings. Things are looking up for that kid. Oh and she and I have talked about her crap and we figured it was just a very bad day for both of us and we took it out on eachother, so all is well.

THEN Sunday Ellie sang at my Wing Commanders call (big deal, she commands the largest reserve wing the the US) and they loved her. I cried.
http://www.349amw.afrc.af.mil/

My house is trashed because I have done nothing to keep it up in 5 days, but I am spent so part of me doesn't care.

I do hope all is well with the DDA, if anyone has a minute to give me some cliff notes, that would be fabulous.

Enjoy your morning all.

:rolleyes1

I hear you and I'm right there with you. When I see what my kids, especially Alyssa, put in there rooms, it just cracks me up. They thing nothing of having a fussball table and a toilet in their kitchen. Then I look at her toolbar thing and see 18 bowls of tomato soup. She just goes through and clicks on things to buy because she wants to. It is so funny. Then they get mad at me when they send me gifts that just clash with my themes and I resell them to get the cash. We have such fun.

Since we've had 2 requests for the Reader's Digest version of DDA:

There is a lot of remodeling going on (not in my house;) ). Janet has a new bathroom, Deb and Chris started remodeling for an appraisal that happened yesterday.

We have had another run of the not feeling so hot go through the DDA.

Poor Tammi is in appliance/electronics H E double hockey sticks. Hopefully she comes out of it soon.

Jen is on bed rest. She needs to keep those buns in the oven for a few more weeks.

Neither Jen or Amy look pregnant-they look so cute:goodvibes .

A sewing bug seems to have attacked the DDA....the outfits are adorable.

We have 3 or 4 getting ready for trips....I am just a teeny bit jealous.

We have figured out that munchkins make us want to pull our hair out every once in awhile whether they are toddlers, teens or supposedly grown up.

Vicki was given a Girl Scout award.

Becky is feeling the "is school out yet?" bug....as is some of the DDA kiddos.

A few anniversaries and birthdays have been thrown in for good measure.

Other than that we are just CHATTY!!

Luckily I am an anal person... Delta has once again changed our flights for our September trip and sent us no notifications. In fact they have changed our flights no less than 5 times since we booked our fares a couple of months ago. At least this time I got a very nice CS rep on the phone who was able to link our itinerary numbers together so I don't have to keep changing our seats every time! (My flight is on miles and myBob's is on cash so they have different numbers.) One good thing about this current change is that our flight is leaving Orlando 45 minutes later than the one they had changed us to last week. :rotfl:

Elizabeth-I went to Marshalls at lunch looking for a Baggallini backpack but they didn't have any Baggallini products until I checked the kids backpack/diaper bag section and found this:
http://www.baggallini.com/picts/prod_table1_01.jpg

It's a great bag that I got for $14.99. I think I might take it in May but not sure Emma will like the pink. I'm not sure it is quite big enough. I already have a ton of bags but I really love this one.

You can attach a bag to my suitcase-really attached to the front of the bag not just over the handle and I was thinking I would take the shoulder bag that attaches to that plus my daypack for carry on as I will also have the stroller, Emma and Emma's carryon. Once I get rid of my checked bag I'll be fine so I'm hoping for warm weather here around 7:30am so Emma & I can use the skycap outside.

Here's my suitcase-sort of as I got the older version on clearance. This is shown with the daypack attached but I can also add the shoulder bag or a waist pack.
http://a1472.g.akamaitech.net/f/1472/124/4h/img.ebags.com/is/image/im5/74805_1_1?&op_usm=1,1,1&hei=460&wid=460
and here's the shoulder bag that can attach to it:http://a1472.g.akamaitech.net/f/1472/124/4h/img.ebags.com/is/image/im9/74809_2_1?&

And I have this big tote too that is really nice but I don't know if I can handle that with everything else I'll have. This retails for $150 but is something like $70 on ebags. I paid under $20.
http://www.ebags.com/products/view/ZoomColorsViews.cfm?fuseaction=imagePop&ModelID=51060&sub_site_id=20&productid=579003

And I have a nice rolling duffle from LLBean that I took in January that I like and fits a lot but again how to handle that with all the other stuff until I get rid of my checked bag.

I think I may have a bag problem.........

Of course not that I'm making all these fancy outfits I don't know how I'll fit everything in my one checked bag.:scared: I need to stop sewing and start packing.

We've got lots of Marshalls around here so I'll keep looking for the backpack too.

Bernadette - I am in Marshall's ALL the time and the Baggallini I got yesterday was the first time they had it, so keep looking. They also had another bag that was more like a purse, but I couldn't think of any practical use for that one.
Your bags are cool! I would lose things in all those zippers, though!
If you are checking one bag what difference would it make to check a second one? Do you have to go to curbside check-in without help? Because you don't want to get to WDW and realize you don't have enough choices in clothing. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I think I can handle my one big checked bag with the shoulder bag attached and daypack on. Emma can be in the stroller. She doesn't like crowded places so I don't know how willing she'll be to walk-she gets scared and at least I'll know exactly where she is in the stroller. She can hold her backpack or I can put it in the stroller basket. I'm thinking if I took my bigger tote I could hang that off the stroller handles. So I'm pushing the stroller with one hand and pulling my checked bag with the other. HOW do I carry/pull a 2nd checked bag? I guess I could make Emma walk and put the 2nd bag in the stroller.

I suppose I could take both the shoulder bag and the tote as Emma & are both allowed 1 carry on and a personal item. That tote is pretty good sized.

I did 5 nights with Joe in January so I should be able to do 6 nights with Emma in May. In January we had both cold and warm weather clothes. But I did mail a box in January. I plan a mailing stuff down for my owners locker but I didn't want to mail a box home.

I really need to pack to see what I'm dealing with here.

I would lose things in all those zippers, though! Not really-2 of the zippers are on the attached daypack so the big bag has one large compartment-that has a large meshed pocket on the "front" and small pockets on the inside. Then it has a large pocket on the front that I ususally stick my jacket into before I check the bag. I use the Eagle Creek pack it folders for my clothes and pack the kids clothes in zip lock bags by outfit.

We park the car offsite, then the shuttle drops us at curbside baggage check-in. ME takes the bags to the resort, bell services takes them back to resort airline check-in, then once we get home we get a luggage cart to take the bags back to the shuttle (or we could get a skycap to take them out to the curb if DH wasn't with us). Lizzy was 6 1/2 when I took her 2 nights before everyone else. I had all the luggage (I think 2 checked bags) and a stroller on that trip-not for Lizzy but for Joe when he came later. Gene had a carryon for himself, Emma & Joe had a backpack and he had a stroller AND he had Dorinda. I had a towncar meet them at the airport.

I know I can do it but I'm usually more packed by now.:rotfl:

Time to go home. I think I'll stop at 2 or 3 different Marshalls on the way.

Maybe I'll try packing or doing some more sewing tonight.

Congratulations to DS, Elizabeth!

Still no word from Julie and Dave. I'm pretty sure she had c-sections for Carli and Kyle. I think a lot of her nerves had to do with delivering a healthy baby (they had no advanced warning of Kyle's blindness until birth). I'll keep you posted as soon as I hear something.

I think I'm going to have to buy my own Webkinz. Alyssa has picked out some awful decor! :rotfl:

Which reminds me, this weekend is the Webkinz Extravaganza and many retailers (our local Hallmark for example) are offering a "spend $10, get a free Webkinz" deal.

A couple of years ago Sister's preschool teacher had the CUTEST Easy Spirit sneakers. She got them at Marshall's. I HAD to have a pair. I drove ALL OVER looking for those stupid shoes in my size and never did find them! :rotfl2: Several months later I ran across them somewhere - it might have been Ross, or maybe it was Marshall's. I bought them and they are so HOT! I have finally been wearing them over the past few months, but there is no way I could take them to WDW. :sad2:

Could I please ask for a design request from one of our disigners? :flower3:

Cassidy and Abi's birthday are 3 weeks from tomorrow and I want to do special shirts for them...but I am not a big fan of the "treat me like a princess" designs.

Cassidy will be 16 and I would love to have tink in purple....but past that I am clueless.

Abi will be 12 (where oh where does time go:confused3 :sad1: )and I am even more clueless here.

I guess I could go looking through more of the disigns but nothing strikes my fancy...I am sorry I am being so particular.

Thanks!!

I hope everything is going well for Julie! How old are her other kids? I don't think she has been posting here since I joined the DDA, so I don't really know anything about her.

I'm sorry, Elizabeth! I tend to forget that you joined in this talkative group later.

Julie was never an avid poster, but she kept up for a little while. We were actually friends first, before we had the thread in common; her husband is a bailiff in the same courthouse where Kevin is a prosecutor. Kevin and Dave became buddies, having an obsession with Disney in common. Julie and I became fast friends, and we have a tradition of spending every New Years' Eve together. Their oldest son, Kyle, will be 10 in July and Carli just turned 8. Kyle is 100% blind. Both kids are over the moon that they have a new sibling. :goodvibes

Which brings me to the happy news...

Jack (I don't know his middle name yet) is here! I missed Julie's call, since we were at Kroger, but she said everything went great. He weighs 6 lbs, 13 ounces and he's 19 1/4 inches long. Not bad for a month early! :cloud9:

Hi guys! I've been out of the loop for a couple of days. I promise to go back and catch up, but I wanted to let you guys know that Alan and I are expecting our 5th child on December 11. We are thrilled, and everything looks good so far. The only concern is that my progesterone level is too low, so I'm on a daily pill to build that up, and ensure a healthy environment for our little peanut! Thanks for all your prayers at this time! We have felt them all!!!
