Congratulations Vicki, hope you enjoy dinner!
The meeting and awards ceremony is over. I'm at the library waiting to go to dinner. I got the Peninsula Waters Pin. That is the name of our council (or at least is until April 30 when we merge with other councils in Wisconsin). It was nice to see everyone. Katrina is coming with me to the Sunset Celebration tonight. It is from 7-10pm. My friend & coworker is going to dinner with us. Talk to you all later.

:wizard: that you can get your paper done without to many distractions!
Do you know how hard it is to write a paper with trees being made into mulch and several tractors zooming around outside? Plus the birds outside are being noisy. I guess I will find something else to do til it quiets down a bit outside. But I really need to write this paper. But my mind is highly distracted and can not seem to shut off the outside noise.

Jennifer - is this the guy you studied under? Peter Jarjisian?
No, his name is Ethan Sperry. He started conducting at age 8, cello at 14 with the Boston Pops and singing at 18. His talent matches that ..... I don't love his singing ability (or his father is Paul Sperry's, for that matter). His passion though, and brilliance in conducting and arranging choral music blows my mind. He worked at Julliard, USC and Harvard (places he grew up and/or attended), and settled instead in Rural Ohio at Miami. :confused3 :rotfl: We still can't fathom why, but are so lucky to have him there! He is, somehow, also the artistic director for the Arad Philharmonic Chorus in Romania, the principal director of the Choeur (sp?) Regional de Guadeloupe and works closely with A.R. Rahman (of Bollywood fame) both in India, and with our Global Rhythms group at Miami. We got some AMAZING opportunities through his experience and connections. Kyle and I will never, ever get over the things we got from working with him! :goodvibes

Today has been the day from you know where. First, soccer game at 8. Nicholas played all 4 quarters and ran his little heart out. They lost, again. His team hasn't scored a goal yet, and their last game is Saturday. Then I went to the nursery to get some hanging baskets for my front porch. Then to the mall where I tried to find a dress. Have I told you I hate shopping. I went home empty handed. When I got home I found that Bob had started a load of laundry, trying to be helpful. I know I should be appreciative but laundry is one of those things that I'm very particular about. But it's neither here nor there because my washer decided to bite the dust, right before the spin cycle. Then we rushed out the door to drive the 53 miles to Washington, DC. The show started at 2 and we left here about 12:10. We didn't get 10 miles up 95 before the back-up started. There was an accident ahead, which created a 20 mile traffic jam. So we arrived at the theater about 2:15, and it had already started. The kids really enjoyed the show. So did I for that matter. We stopped at Olive Garden on the way home for dinner. Luckily that drive was much smoother.
So now, on top of the other 15 things that are on my to-do list, I have to buy a new washer. I have no idea how I'm going to get everything done by Saturday. Did you ever end up getting one, Elin?
Janet, which did you get again?
ACK! That sounds like a crazy day!
I am probably going to get a Maytag Centennial Edition washer from Home Depot for about $400 with "free" delivery and haul away. they are NOT on sale so I thought if I could stomach running a few loads of wash at the laundromat one day a week like I have been I could put off buying one till there was a sale. But I don't know...
Looks to me like everywhere is going to be about the same cost, whether it is on sale or has free delivery. I don't need a washer that does anything more than that one does and I like Maytag quality (although my GE that is 27 years old has QUALITY written all over it!).
Wonder if they would give us a volume discount... :rotfl:

We are having a light meal since we ate ribs for lunch. On the menu: Melon with prosciutto and a balsamic drizzle, Asiago cheese and a Sobon Estates Old Vines Zinfandel. Dessert will be DarkDarkDarkDark Chocolate. Yum!YUM!
Tell me this, though -- is it at all cost-effective, or is it just another expensive hobby like my photoshopping turned out to be? When I made a fleece blanket for my sister for Christmas, it turned out to be a HECK of a lot more expensive than just buying one! :faint:
It depends what you're comparing go. I only paid $1.50/yd for some flannel this week and I can make Joe & Emma pants with just 1 yard each so that's pretty cost effective.
The Nemo outfit I paid $6.59 for the panel, the blue fabric was on sale but I can't remember how much I'll assume $5/yd and the Nemo fabric was about $6/yd. When you add in the elastic, thread and lining (and pattern) it was over $20. I can buy her something under $20 but not a costume outfit for under $20.
SO....its like all hobbies you can go crazy on it!
I finally bought myself a ipod shuffle--i didnt want to get a more expensive one since i think ill primarily use it for vacations, but this was on sale for 45 bucks :)!:woohoo:
I ran around a lot today, but I don't know if I really accomplished much! :rotfl:
We went to Macy's at 10 AM. It was a madhouse. Clinique was out of everything I wanted to buy, but we did see DS's preschool music teacher! He adored her when he was little, so it was nice to chat with her for a few minutes. :)
I bought 2 shirts and a belt for DS. I thought the belt was $15, but it was actually $35! :scared1: Of course it was full price. I almost fell over when she scanned it. I bought it anyway, then told DS we needed to look for a cheaper one.
I returned a pair of shorts for DS to Nordstrom and bought him a perfectly nice belt for $20. I bought a shirt that I had been looking at for the past week.
We grabbed lunch and went home.
I had 2 things to return for DS so I put them in a bag with the belt. I tried on my shirt - NOT GOOD. It was way too long and skin tight. Jones NY is NOT my favorite brand anymore. I bought 2 Polos that fit fine but I'm not sure if I will keep both of them. One is white with black trim, the other is navy with white trim. Loaded up my returns and went back to the mall (left DS with DH). Bought 2 shirts for DH. From there I went to meet with Marci.
It was so nice to see her and chat for a bit! Hopefully Lindsay can join us next time! :)
I went back home and DH tried on the shirts. They fit weird. He said they were women's. :rotfl2: (They weren't, but they did fit funny.) I took those back to Macy's but I didn't have time to go back to Nordstrom.
Princess & I just got home from dinner with DS & DH. She is doing a puzzle before she puts her pajamas on.Sounds exhausting!

Hi, everyone! It's been a long weekend, and I apologize for not checking in for several days. Things here are going well. The funeral is all in order, and it looks like it will be quite a thing. Carissa was so loved, they had to move it to a larger chapel. Carrie and her family have received so many cards, flowers, plants, etc., that it's been quite overwhelming. Not to mention the food. They haven't had to cook for almost a week. We were over there last night, and while we were there, 6 families dropped by with spaghetti, ravioli, salad, desserts, etc. Thank heaven for friends and neighbors at a time like this.
I've been practicing my fingers to the bone. I really want to play well for the family. I tend to get nervous performing, so this is a real challenge for me!
Bernadette - love the fabric/outfits. You are one sewing maniac!!!!
Thank you!

So I started looking in Brookline for a hotel... they are astronomical! I don't know why they would cost more than those in downtown Boston, but they do! So I looked further afield to Bed & Breakfasts and came up with these two.
We are planning to do a Junior Suite which includes a King bed and a couch or lounge. Some of them have fireplaces which I hope we won't need. :upsidedow

I know what you mean! At first you think it will be great! All the books you can read and movies you can watch, but after a while, it just drives you crazy!
While I was on bed rest, I got the scare of my life. I had been napping in bed, and Katie (4) was "watching" Jacob (2) until Alan got home from work. In reality, that just meant feeding him graham crackers, and changing the video when it ended. I woke up from my nap and waddled into the bathroom. I was shocked to see my sewing scissors in the tub along with a large blob of blonde hair! I ran as fast as my swollen body could take me into the family room. Casually, I looked over Katie, but didn't see any hair missing. Breathing a sigh of relief, I headed back to the bed, wondering what it was that had been cut. Then Jacob came running to give me a hug. Right on the top of his head was a spot where his hair had been cut to the scalp. I screamed at Katie, "What did you cut your brother's hair for!?" She looked at me in all innocence, and said, "Well, you told me not to cut MY hair." I then told her in no uncertain terms that she was not allowed to cut her hair, Jacob's hair, my hair, daddy's hair, the dog's hair, her dolly's hair, etc. I got really specific! After that, I was never really comfortable with the bed rest!

I made Emma's Buzz outfit today. It is cute and she loves it! I still need to do buttonholes/buttons.
I also made the Nemo top and I'm not thrilled with it. The pattern called for an extra lining and I don't really like the bulk it adds. The elastic straps are too long too. I did tack them down shorter in the back and it looks better. I'll probably like it more when I make the pants. Emma loves it. Lizzy loves it and even Joe told Emma he really liked it.
Sorry no pictures. I'm too tired.

Yes, by SATURDAY! Tomorrow I want to make a run to BJ's and get all the supplies, get Nicholas' hair cut, and I variety of other things that are on my list. My van needs to be inspected and I'm worried about the emissions. I can't deal with that on top of everything else!

But then that is just me, maybe I am wrong. I told Garrett she should be giving everyone a ride home lol

I cannot find anything bad about either one of them, not for lack of trying. I just have to choose which suite appeals the most. One nice thing about them is that they offer a AAA discount which is not on their booking engine but you can pick the room/suite that you want when you make a reservation. I thought that was pretty cool! :goodvibes

Eh, I didn't really want to do it even for the first hour. Sitting in one place for too long is just NOT my thing. Being forced to do so is even worse! In fact, after literally 45 minutes I called Kyle and said, "Is it a problem that I've done less than 1 hour of time, and I'm totally out of my mind?" His response? "A problem, probably. Completely predictable? Absolutely" :rotfl:
I have to admit, Katie's response definitely made me chuckle! :)

There were 2 other boys staying as well. The boys all went for a walk & did not tell the mother. She called her son on his cell to find out where he was & then said everyone had to go home & he was grounded. I understand being worried & Garrett knows how I am about knowing where he is. So I do understand her being upset, I just do not agree with her sending the boys home. I asked Garrett what would have happened if I was not home & he said he would have walked. I guarantee you if this would have happened, the mother would have heard from me.
Maybe I am just to easy going with Riley & Garrett. I have gotten upset with them plenty of times when friends have stayed over, but I have never sent anyone home.
Oh well I have both my babies home now :goodvibes Riley is asleep, the game today wiped him out & Garrett is eating supper. Yep, he had not eaten yet :sad2: I told him to never ask to stay there again & he said no problem.

Hmm. Maybe the mom just wanted to embarrass her son and really get her point across, so she wasn't thinking about the hassle she was causing the other parents. :confused3 I am kind of impressed that she actually DID send the other boys home instead of just threatening and then backing down.

My neighbor had her first child at 40. Anna is almost 3 now, and Deborah asked her to help clean up her toys. Anna just looked at her mom and went to her room, shut the door and was very quiet. Deborah followed her into her room and saw her sitting on her "naughty chair." She asked Anna why she wasn't helping pick up her toys. Anna's response? "I can't. I'm in time out." "Who put you in time out?" Deborah asks. "I did, because I'm not helping pick up my toys." Deborah was stunned! She couldn't believe that a 2 and a half year old would be able to manipulate the situation that way. I cracked up and told her to give it a couple more years. Then she'd really see what Anna is capable of!

Guess what babies just got a package?! (Addressed specifically to them, which I got a kick out of!) Inside was an adorable outfit set (lots of mix & match pieces) that said "I'm the Little Miracle that Came True" :cloud9:
And......
The girls' first custom outfits! princess: princess: How cute is this?!
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b398/tink2020/004-funinthesunwithpoohandfriends.jpg
The tag reads "Fun in the Sun with Pooh and Friends; HandMade original by the Old Vermonter" :teeth:
Thank you, Brooks family! :goodvibes
(So seriously... how much work is the actual sewing? Because I would LOVE the designing and the dressing.... but the in between stuff, I'm not so sure about. You all are going to have me hooked though! Well, I mean, if I could figure out how. Oh, and where to find a sewing machine :rotfl: )
I have to be honest here. I bought the outfits from a friend that made them. She had made one and I fell in love with it and begged her to make another. I had planned to make the girls something myself, but couldn't resist having it done for me :rolleyes1 The Old Vermonter does great work for awesome prices. She makes handmade sweaters and charges such low prices that I can't believe she covers her material costs. I usually find that making my own things costs more than buying premade, but you get EXACTLY what you want:thumbsup2 I'm glad that you like the outfits. I bought the little miracle pieces before I even knew that you were having girls. Those outfits were just meant to be :teeth:
Tell me this, though -- is it at all cost-effective, or is it just another expensive hobby like my photoshopping turned out to be? When I made a fleece blanket for my sister for Christmas, it turned out to be a HECK of a lot more expensive than just buying one! :faint:
It is often more expensive to make your own, but they are one of a kind (or maybe 2 of a kind :rolleyes1 )

It has been a day from you know where here today too. I worked on the entry/hall most of the day and night. Chris worked on picking up other areas of the house then headed to camp with a load of stuff for the burn pile. He calls a few minutes later and is broke down on the side of the road. Now mind you we are trading in this truck on Monday and had to call AAA today to get it towed :headache: He had it towed to work and was able to quickly diagnose the issue and for $75 in parts he had it back on the road. Thankfully it wasn't a huge deal, but it still took time and money. So anyway the hall/entry is back together. We have decided that walking down the hall feels like walking down the hall of a hotel :rotfl: Colby says it brings back good rememories:goodvibes

Later this evening Hunter, Colby and I ran out for a few things. We stopped at Walmart and bought Nick a bean bag chair, Hunter a Lava lamp and Colby a big outside ball. I also picked up some Rolaids, Q-tips and mascara. That bag never made it home  I called the store and they have it, which means that she never handed it to us. I'll have to run over there tomorrow to pick it up. Needless to say that we are all tired and cranky this evening. I ended up buying us giant sundaes at Friendly's. Not good for the diet, but much better on the psychy:lmao:

Yeah, but see I don't really want to! :rotfl: I mean, i get totally excited by the idea. I spent an hour this afternoon looking at sewing machines, calling my mom to see if she still has one and if she uses it (it turns out she has never owned one, you see where I get my sewing skills! ;)), etc. I was all over JoAnn's looking at ideas, etc and just filling my head with all the things I wanted to do.
But I don't want to measure, cut, and sew them! I think that's a problem. ;) Give me another week on bedrest though, I'll probably start wanting to do all sorts of new things! At least this whim would also be productive :thumbsup2 After all, for $60-$100 for the sewing machine, the very least I could do is learn to hem my own pants, instead of taking every pair and paying a professional! :rotfl:
Jennifer, it really isn't that hard at all! If you need a teacher, I think I know of one not too far from you who would be glad to help!;)
The biggest reward I have gotten is the love that Leighanna has for the items that I have made her. She loves everything that I make, and unless she knows that I am making something for someone she knows, she doesn't want me to sell it. Not a very profitable venture, is it?
Preparing the pattern, and cutting the fabric is my least favorite task too. But once that is done, sewing it together isn't that bad.

Deb, your walls look great! I used to do decorative painting as a job at one point in my life, and yours looks VERY PROFESSIONAL!:thumbsup2

Tammi, sorry your washer bit the dust. I have a feeling our dryer is going out soon.
Elin, it would be hard to pick between the two, they both look really nice!
Janet, I can't believe that you had to go pick him up!
Leighanna has a birthday party next Saturday with a sleep over planned afterwards. She is looking forward to it. I hope I don't have to pick her up if she gets scared. I think she will be o.k.!
Well, we had a nice day. There was a little rain, but still warm-ish.
We took Mom out for dinner as a family and she enjoyed getting out and visiting. She is definitely looking better, now that her meds and meals are handed to her at the proper times!
I then helped my brother put his new bed together, and then we went out to look for new bedding. We were out way too late, and just got in.
Leighanna fell asleep in the car on the way home, and I had to carry her in. Not as easy as it was when she was much littler.
Time for me to hit the hay too.
I wasn't around for all the wonky redirecting today, so I am glad that I missed it!
Have a great Sunday everyone!

Yep, he had not eaten yet :sad2: I told him to never ask to stay there again & he said no problem.Sounds like a knee-jerker reaction to something that kids do without thinking. But you are right, if she would have let him walk home.....I don't even want to think about what I would say.

If you want an easy Peter Pan costume do this:
Buy a green turtle neck that is a few sizes to big for Jeff.
Cut the bottom off in a jagged pattern
Do the same to make short sleeves
cut a straight cut through the turtle neck part and down into the shirt creating a V neck.
Add a belt and green shorts and voila Instant Peter Pan
I did that for Nick several years ago only he had leggins as it was cold here.
I'm glad that you are getting responses this year   I can't wait to see which one pans out :thumbsup2

Speaking of kids, have I told you all that his ex has picked up and moved to St. Augustine, FL. She is giving Bob custody of Bethany during the school year, and she wants her for 8 weeks in the summer. Her house here in VA was foreclosed on, so she quit her job and moved to FL with what Bob calls her "flavor of the month". Actually she has been dating this guy since the fall. I just can't believe that a mother would leave her child behind to move with her latest fling. It's pretty much a done deal, they are just working out the formalities of holiday visitations. Good for Bob, but her behavior is very sad, IMO. for Bethany

I missed the drama too...and I "had" to have donuts this morning also...but from a local place. OH so yummy!! :lovestruc I am glad we can't afford to do it very often. :rolleyes1

I figured out how to get on the boards the site was re-directing to last night. Apparently a bunch of people who post on both sites (here and there) have been banned from here now. Interesting, interesting.
Jen - I always bring more than one memory card, just in case something happens to the one I planned to use. If they sell memory cards on the ship I PROMISE they will be horribly expensive! :scared:

Jen - We have some of that SanDisk brand. They seem to do just fine. Of course we now have 3 different types of memory in our cameras. I think we have SD, XD, and compact flash if I am not mistaken. Having all of the cameras take the same media would have been far too simple!

Ooh, now that's definitely a good point. I wouldn't buy 2 that large though, personally, in an effort to save money! If you don't end up needing the second, it seems like a big waste to me to have a $80+ card (although I'm sure the SDs aren't as bad, and that's been a while at that price - I think now that they've been out a while, even the XDs are less) sitting around with no pictures on it! :rotfl:
ETA: And, if you're like me, having 4GB of pictures would be the nail in the coffin of never getting the pictures off of the camera! :rotfl:

I don't think it matters tremendously. With SD cards, you do have a lot of options, but I would go with one that I've at least heard of. I'm no expert, sothe second might be phenomenal, but I've never heard of that brand. I have a Sandisk SD card for my Palm Pilot, and it's been just fine. They make a lot of computer stuff, and are very reputable.

She is doing a puzzle before she puts her pajamas on.
Elizabeth, you do know that they usually have fitting rooms at the stores, don't you? :lmao:

That's a neat idea! You can probably find cloth that would make good trim, etc. by cutting up finished pieces from the thrift store.
I need to go do some laundry. We got a notice that the maintenance guys will be installing a new outlet in our kitchen tomorrow, so I have to clean in there, too. I don't WANT a new outlet. We have plenty.

Yes, but I hate to try things on in the store. ;)
Some of what I returned was stuff I bought for DS a few weeks ago, then I found it for half the price that I paid! So I bought another one and then returned the ones I had at home since they still had all the tags, etc. Remember, I live directly across the street from the mall so going to Macy's 3 times in a single day isn't a big deal for me. :rotfl2:

Sorry, but I have to disagree! I just grabbed my camera, with a blank 2GB card. Here are the specs:
0.3M (good for internet, etc sharing) = 15996 pictures :faint:
2M (printable to 8x10 with good quality) = 3199 pictures
3M (printable to 8.5x11 with good quality) = 2558 pictures
6M (printable to 16x20 with good quality) = 1375 pictures
12M(N) (printable over 20x30" with good quality) = 845 pictures
12M(F) (printable over 24x36" with superior quality) = 425 pictures
Bernadette, even you and I wouldn't have to upload any I don't think, at least not every night! :rotfl:But she just spent $200 or so on a nice new camera. I always shoot at full resolution. At 8mp she can store about 500 to 600 photos at full resolution on a 2GB card. She's going to Alaska. I hope she takes more than 500 photos. Taking lots of photos is the best way to get a few good ones.;) AND...they are so cheap now-under $20 for 2GB. Before Emma was born I paid $80 for a 32 mb card.:scared1:

I'll have to run over there tomorrow to pick it up. Needless to say that we are all tired and cranky this evening. I ended up buying us giant sundaes at Friendly's. Isn't that amazing?! I saw Jen's link, and was shocked that they were so cheap now. I just got a GREAT deal (it really was at the time!) for a 2GB XD card almost exactly a year ago. At that point, the "bargain" was $85. I justified it just now by saying that SD cards are cheaper. Even so, a 2GB XD is now just around $30.
Out of curiosity, do you know if the SD stores the photos different to where they hold fewer frames? I thought the biggest difference was processing time, etc, but I'm under the impression I can do about 1000 pics at 8MP. Any thoughts?

Thankfully, canons take SD cards which are much less expensive than XD. You should be able to find a great deal, for a good size card! Do shop around.... you can likely get a 1 or 2 GB card (all you'll ever need :rotfl: ) for not much more than something half that size!
Unless you are me, who sometimes fill up more then a gig a day of just pictures and my camera is only 5.1 mp. I always shoot at full resolution. Also if you take video it quickly eats up space. That is why I carry 2 gigs or more and a laptop when I know lots of picture taking will occur. I dump cards on a nightly basis to my laptop in a new folder on a trip. 2 gigs is not enough for me for more then 1 day in some cases.
I know most of you probably only take 100 pics or so a day and you might be OK with 2 gigs total. I know I will not be. I think the best advice is to know your picture taking style and how many pics you will take. But this can vary greatly from day to day. Your mileage may vary.

I have a nursing T-shirt almost the color of Wendy's night gown. I wonder if I could find some shorts or material to make some shorts to match.

I think what ever bug Olivia had the other day I got hit with last night at work. Around 6pm the nausea started. With stopping on the way home to puke. Have had absolutely no energy today.
I am laying on the couch watching Baseball right now. Sorry Theresa we are winning.

yeah you did win.
Local Taco Bells have a season special....if the Rockies score more than 7 runs in a game...the next day tacos are 4 for $1 for 2 hours in the afternoon (prime supper time)...I don't think they planned on the Rockies scoring 7+ in 4 out of the last 6 games:rotfl:

I was thinking of a yellow onseis and attaching some blue felt.
Olivia is the one I would worry about. Not sure how to do a king triton costume. If I did Eric it would be shorts and a white shirt. mine would be red shirt and shorts just not sure yet how to do the claws.
I may just make shirts for Jeff and I and let the girls wear costumes.:confused3
I know I've seen oven mitts that are in the shape of claws!

Question for those of you who have flown with infants before? did you get them their own seat or let them sit in your lap?
I let them sit in my lap. That's where they would have ended up anyway, so why pay for a seat to hold the carseat or nothing. I found they were more comfortable and it was more soothing for them to sleep in my arms.

Well, I got a washing machine. I think it is the same one you got, Janet. I've done 2 loads, sheets and towels, and am finding out that it doesn't take nearly as much soap as the other one. It was 470 at Sears and I got a 12% cash back mail in rebate. The only problem..................now my tv stopped working! :faint:

Amy and Alyssa brought us dinner from the Cheesecake Factory tonight! It was wonderful visiting with them, and they didn't even mind that I looked bedrested and Kyle had worked 32 hours straight not long before they arrived. :goodvibes
AND, they came bearing gifts! You all are too much :flower3: Kyle and I could not believe the generosity of this group! I don't even know how to begin to thank you guys! Amy took some pictures, and hopefully they aren't too horrifying! ;) She promised to post them sooner than she posts her vacation pictures, or the pictures of her newborn children for that matter :teeth:
Kyle has already put the swing together, and we are absolutely enamored with it. I have decided that I desperately need an adult-sized one now, and also that we can't wait to put a baby or two in the baby-sized one! :lovestruc Alyssa also bought me a Webkinz lion, to help pass some time while I'm here on bedrest. I've looked into it just a little bit, and have decided that I should have no excuse but to be a Webkinz pro, since it appears there is more to do on that site than anyone would ever have time for, unless they were stuck on the couch.
Thank you again, for caring so much about these girls (and me!). You are really a phenomenal group of women (and men!) that I am blessed to know. :grouphug:

My last load is in the washer, but I did all of the laundry last weekened so I didn't have the accumulation today that I do some days!
Yay for shopping!
I found a few more things today that need to be returned. The down side is that now I need to go to four different stores to complete my returns. At least 3 of the 4 are in the mall.

Jennifer - I hope you feel better soon, and that Jeff & Virginia don't get sick!
Princess sounded kind of wheezy last night. If she's not better tomorrow I think she will be going back to the Dr. to see about asthma meds. The allergy meds don't seem to be controlling her cough, and the wheezing is new.
DS & I did some pin maintenance today. I pulled all of my new pins off of the card backing and put them in my "trader" bag. The only problem is the dang thing is so HEAVY!:scared: We bought all of those Disney Shopping pins and they are much heavier than the traders we usually have. I looked through my "keepers" to see if there were any I wanted to trade, but there weren't. :rolleyes1 I don't know how many I have to trade, but I don't plan to buy any more. We'll trade what we have on hand and call it good.

I need to go through my kids' closets and drawers and get all of their winter stuff packed away, and go through last summer's clothes to see what still fits. But that is going to wait a few weeks. Our subdivision is having a community yard sale on May 3, or whatever that first Sat. in May is. My mom is staying here for a few weeks, so I'm going to have her get out all the baby stuff, toys, clothes, and start pricing it all. She can do that during the day while I'm at work and the kids are at school. If I can get rid of all that stuff, :sad1: , I can put it toward my appliance fund.

Paper is still not finished. Today was a crazy day. It was pouring and thundering and lightening. Somewhere there is some leak into the garage. We are not sure if it us from the roof or an indoor pipe. One stove knob control decided it does not want to work anymore. So one of the burners does not properly turn on or off anymore. Finding a replacement knob is proving interesting as the stove and oven is from 1972.
Tomorrow the paper must be finished. I have a dentist appointment, then work and then a relay fund raiser. I still do not know when I am taking my final test for this class. I just wish the class was over and done with, but it is not.
Sorry to be such a downer all the time recently. I have just lost all motivation for the classes. I always have this problem. I am so excited at first and about 5-6 weeks in I am totally done. I totally struggle to get finished and done with the classes.

:confused:I didn't think the cards were any different. I have a Sony so I use a memory stick which tend to be more expensive but I've done well on Black Friday. I think I paid $15 for my last 2GB stick. I have 595 photos on the stick in my camera now with room for 60 more at 7mp. I have to backup the photos from Joe's birthday trip (and all photos since) so I can erase them off the sticks before my trip.
Sorry to be incognito. It's been busy at work, school, just life in general. We leave on FRIDAY,and the kids have no idea. They think we're going Saturday morning. I can't wait to pick them up from school. And it looks like now Miley Cyrus is performing at the Disney Channel Concert too, so that's the Jonas Bros, Cheetah Girls, HM. There is also a parade for the DCG on the day we're at DHS! The kids have no idea and are going to flip.
Hope everyone is well. We're off to 2 birthday parties today.
WOW! You've guys are going to have the best time!
Question for those of you who have flown with infants before? did you get them their own seat or let them sit in your lap?I bought Emma a seat when she was 11 months. I called the airline and they sold me a seat for about 1/2 price. I also had Joe who turned 3 and Lizzy who was 4 1/2. I figured if Emma was in her car seat she'd know she had to stay in it like the car and I was hoping she would nap which she did. If you don't buy Virginia a seat the 4 of you would fit in 1 row-that wasn't an option for us.
