View Full Version : Getting from Disney Resort to Sea World...

Just wondering how those of you that take ME & use disney buses for transportion, get anywhere off site, if you are interested in visiting other places.
We are wanting to go back to Disney this year, with our 2 dd's, 3 & 1. We would like to stay onsite and avoiding renting a car, but would love to spend a day at Seaworld.
Would a taxi be our best bet? Any type of arranged shuttles? Looking for help. TIA.

Sea World is actually the least expensive place to visit off property.
Orlando has a public bus system called Lynx. They have some stops on Disney property.
It just so happens that if you go to the Ticket and Transportation Center, there is a bus stop for Lynx #50 that has a direct route to Sea World. (It drops you off near the edge of the parking lot, so you'll have to walk across Sea World's parking lot).
It is less than $5.00 per person RT.
Go to golynx.com for the schedule. There is also a stop for Lynx #50 at Downtown Disney, but it's harder to get to that location early in the morning as buses/boats don't start running to DTD till about 9am.
Buses to Magic Kingdom start running at 6:30 am, then you can take the monorail around to the TTC.
If you are uncomfortable with a city bus, then Mears provides shuttles directly from your resort. It's approximately $16 per person RT. (The little ones will be charged less or free) You call them the night before and are put on their pickup schedule. You are picked up at your resort, and dropped off closer to the gates of Sea World (no trek across the parking lot). You arrange for your pickup time from Sea World when you are dropped off, or you can call the number on your return ticket 2 hours before you wish to be picked up.
Other choices are a 1-day rental from Alamo/National on Disney property, or a towncar service, or a taxi.
