Sorry, haven't been on the board in a while. I can't answer this question. I haven't been to Disney in 12 years. The last time I went was as a travel agent and everything was out of the norm, we didn't go to any regular restaurants for meals. The times I went before that were with my dance team and we stayed off-site and again, everything was out of the norm. I've never been to Disney on a vacation!!
It was a hard one for me to answer also. I have only been to WDW one time when I was 13, and DL was all while I was younger then that, except for one trip about 6 years ago. I think that is why I am doing this project because it is so challenging for me. If it is ok with you I will work you into the project another way.

Me, please!!!!! I'll PM you our email address.
Sorry I've been on vacation and must of missed your question, so I will reply for the following:
GOS - Teppanyaki, EPCOT
TheFatMan - Chef Mickeys, Contemporary Resort
Sorry about the spelling!
Cass, do you need another photo of us?
Heather
Thank you so much for answering. But how did you know what the answer was for TheFatMan?:confused3

We did Paradise in January and really didn't go into the water there. Mr. Sancho's is just south of there - not sure what the water is like there.
There are a couple of other clubs south of there as well.
I'm thinking we will end up at Chakanaab. They have a lagoon area that is very shallow and no waves and then you can go around the rocks and it will get deep and you can do some good snorkeling.
How do you know about Chakanaab? That sounds like it would be perfect for our youngest. How do I find it?

Hi everyone... resident non-cruiser popping in to say hello! Our phone line and internet connection were knocked out Thursday by a neighbor installing a fence. Seems like they thought those orange lines marked by Dig-Rite meant they were suppoed to drive their corner post right through... just like X marks the spot.
They knocked out service to half the subdivision - idiots.
Just got service back a few hours ago - and wanted to offer hugs to everyone who needs them... Robin, Mike, and Victoria especially right now. :grouphug:
Have a good evening... what's left of it anyway. ;)

I'm pleased you had a good talk. I know sort of how you feel. I used to have quite a good job, but it was full time and with Neils job taking him all over and for loooong hours it meant I was doing everything - gardening, housework, decorating etc and we had no life. I went part time and then got made redundant a week before I went on maternity leave  - great timing eh! I had a little part time job for a few hours for a while but it didnt work out so now I'm at home all the time. I cant travel far *** I would be too worried about Ellis if I couldnt get to him in time if he had a bad allergy reaction (over protective mother I know, but I'd never forgive myself if I wasnt there for him). I would like to get back to work. I took a 3 year classroom assistant college course while Ellis was little so I could get a job in a school as a level 3 one to one assistant or classroom assistant, but the jobs are very few and far between so hard to find, so I'm still looking. I dont have to work for hte money, but it would be nice to feel like something other than a mom, housewife, cook, etc
I'm not complaining - I have life easy - I get to the gym most days and shop when I want, but theres only so many pairs of shoes a woman can buy......:scared1: - did I really just say that!:scared1::scared: - wash my mouth out with soap and put me in detention. A woman can never have enough shoes,... I repeat - a woman can never have enough shoes....phew!- dont know what happened to me there...I came over all funny and started sounding like a man:rotfl:
Seriously though, good for you trying to sort out your lives - it will make things better for all of you and benefit you all as a family.
I udnerstand the part about wanting to be near Ellis. Mac was sick for almost a year before she was diagnosed with sever asthma and I alway worry that I will not be there when she has an attack and needs me. Lucky enough Scott and I work oppisite scheduals. I really don't know what I would do without him.

My husband's grandmother passed away this morning, nearly 92. She made the decision--just stopped eating at the nursing home about 10 days ago. So we sat down to tell the kids their granny had died and out of the mouth of young Zachary comes, "I don't know who done it, but it wasn't me!" We all burst out laughing!
So sorry to hear about your loss. But what Zachary said was priceless.

This is a question about spa services.
What is the difference between a deep tissue muscle massage and a swedish massage?
What is a glow?
Has anyone had a wrap done and are they worth doing?
What about the well being massage?
How about a pedicure?
I think that covers all the spa questions.

One more spa question.
After viewing the website for Dis and the spa services I can not find anything about the rainforest. Is this something that needs to be booked in advance or can I book it on the ship? What are the prices for this?

Carrie,
Thanks for the pics! Great looking family!!! :thumbsup2 Sorry, I can't answer your spa questions...I don't "spa" but I think the Rainforest Room is $15 per day but you get a deal if you buy the whole week package.
If all goes well with Kira in Flounders, Rob and I will be dancing right along with you. It's something we love to do but just don't get to do anymore. Rob is after all a DJ so as long as it's not live music (which he can't stand) then we shall be there! :) :dance3:
The evening shows are taped and shown on your TV stateroom, but for movies at the theatre, you have to go and see those. There are usually about a dozen relatively newer movies shown over and over on your TV throughout the week. As well as several Disney animated movies.
All the shows are good to see the first time around, for sure! The only one that we really really don't want to miss is Disney Dreams, especially now that the new show has Timon in it :woohoo: :cool1: The ending is just amazing!!!

PLB (princess little bum, as we call her) is doing good  She can now get herself into a sitting position and then back on all fours, then she spins herself around and starts all over again :lmao: She isn't quite crawling yet but it looks like she's just about ready.
She's a fussy little eater, we've tried squash, sweet potato, peas...she hates them all! :sad2:
And with cereals, we try new cereals every week and she don't like those either  Hates oatmeal, barley, muesli. But she eats the Banana & Rice cereal like it's going outta style :lmao:
And for some reason she stopped drinking her formula!!! :scared: I was reading a book today about recommended amounts of formula which is about 24 OZ per day...she barely drinks half of that and that's only because I mix it up in her cereal (even tho you are supposed to add water). I guess she will fill up on rice & banana cereal :rolleyes1
Boy, aren't you glad you asked???? :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Linda has things going on too, so if Chris or Heather might be interested in receiving the package from me once they come in and then forwarding them on, that would be great. Otherwise, I can bring them with me and get them to you right away at port (it will be you or I as the first in line) or if you are meeting up with someone the week prior, I could send yours to them.
You can send them to me Jeff if you like?
I've tuned in already Heather. Great start.:cheer2: Will you let us know when you update each time?

Well I was going to say...telepathy, but I phoned him instead. Dave has given a group answer. Food features heavily on all his trips, so it was a bit tricky to answer just for himself. We are also having dinner at Chef Mickey's as everyone enjoys the food there and it's easy to accommodate such a bit group - 12 of us. Rick also starts off his Chicken Tender holiday here.:rotfl:
Does anyone know if Quater Masters actually uses Quaters or dollar bills, or a prepaid card? If it is a prepaid card it is not our room card is it?
I think its both, but I'm not sure.
Heres one about the live shows. Looking for reccomendations. We have decided that we do not have to attend every show like we have done on past cruises. So we have eliminated the first night already. Carrie,
Thanks for the pics!
Even if you have problems with the nursery I don't think you would have a problem having volunteers watch her. There is a line forming for that position. I don't really care for live music either.

How do you know about Chakanaab? That sounds like it would be perfect for our youngest. How do I find it?
We've been to Chakanaab. We went the last time we were in Playa del Carmen - across the water from Cozumel. It was back in 2004, so prior to the hurricane that hit the island.
This is the place that has the swimming with dolphins and snuba. They have mini-golf and a nature trail as well. I don't think they have any water sport equipment for your older kids though. The beach clubs further south have the water trampolines and floating icebergs. I remember a platform though out in the water.
We stayed mainly up near the dolphin area because they had a small sandy beach there and the water was shallow with no waves. Most of the area is just a drop off into the water. It is great for snorkelling.
I will see if we have any pictures of the little lagoon area.
There should be a link on the Yahoo site to the beaches/clubs in Cozumel (thanks Paige). You should be able to click on Chakanaab and read all about it.
Hope that helps.

Hi all. Been busy this weekend.
We have also done Chakanaab. We loved it. Scott snorkeled. My sister and niece did the dolphin excursion. Alex and I did the bird and sea lion show. There is a little beach that is very nice for the kids.

Trapped man dies amid flood chaos
The man who has died in Hull had become trapped in neck-deep water when he went to help his grandfather clear a flooded drain in the Hessle area.
Glenn Ramsden, from Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, said the man slipped and got his foot caught in a metal grate.
Rescuers, including police divers, spent several hours battling to free the man, thought to be his 20s, but were unable to save him.

Wadds is about a good hour from me,one of our oldest air bases from where we bombed Berlin to bits during WW2...Home now to some airborne intelligence squadron we call "the flying spooks" and some special ops training program...:rolleyes1
Scott here, thanks. We were eating at an air base that is now a public airport. They still use it for training purposes. We happened to look over and there were 3 piliots eating. Our little one went up and said hi, and asked if they flew plans. The three of them stopped eating and talked with her for about 10 minutes. I went over and introduced our family and talked for a little bit. After they were done one of the chaps pulled a patch off of his flight suit and gave it to Mackenzie. So now she has a flight patch from the RAF. They were all from Wadds, and on there way back that afternoon. Just out here for a week or so on flight simulators. Many of us in America take for granted our own military, but everone should stop and thank those that fight and train along side eachother also. Mine and Missy's boss is going on a Disney cruise in September and could book her excursions yesterday. She couldn't do it online because it kept telling her the site was too busy, try in a few minutes. She tried all day yesterday and part of today. She finally called the cruise line and they wrote everything down she wanted and told her they would contact the cruise excursion office. They called her back a couple of hours later and told her everything good for her excursions. She was very frustrated with the website and told them so. They said they would relay the message to someone. I hope this does not happen to any of us. :headache:

My photo was rejected at the screening process since my teeth were showing :sad2: Why didn't the dude who took the photo TELL ME, hey chick, close your mouth! :headache: But because the line-up was so darn long, I had time to run down a couple of blocks and retake my photo, mouth closed! :) So then I go back to the screeners so they can check my new photo, looks good...then she peeks at Kira's photo and says "Oh no, that will be rejected!!"
:scared1:
Pardonnez-moi????????
I said I just came through here and the other lady said it was just fine! She said Fine, if you want to wait and see but I'm positive that they will reject it! :headache: So I wait till my number is called, fearing the worse, cus I DON'T want to do this again....3 hours and 50 minutes later....it was fine...he just asked about the rash on her cheek and that was it!

I guess my father in law took some, but I have not seen them yet. I was never baptized as a kid because I am adopted and my father was catholic and my mother was lutheran so they decided that when I was an adult I could decided what I wanted to do for myself. So I finally made that decision. I think a lot of what happened with my mother helped me make the plung.

Good Luck Karen.
Didn't Wimbledon start today? I thought there was some kind of law that you guys had to have crappy weather during the tournament...lots of washouts and all that good stuff. ;)
It did Brenda and rain stopped play several times. Here's hoping for a better day today.
we loved the shows except for twice charmed. robin doesnt like it when they mess around with the cinderella story. we may skip that one. we wish they would have kept the hercules show.
Rick prefers Hercules as well.
I tried to get to talk yesterday, but couldn't get a connection. Think Virgin were upgrading our connection.

I put a family picture on the website. Just wondering if this only happens to me, but a couple times I have tried to post multiple pictures on the website, but I always get kicked out and my pictures don't post. But if I only do one picture it works fine. Has anyone else had this happen or know why that would be?
Have a nice day everyone.
Didn't have many posts to read this morning when I got up. Karen must be unplugged to move, hope that goes smoothly Karen.

OMG, I just got back from the passport office...took me 4 hours from start to finish!!
:scared1:
Pardonne-moi????????
I said I just came through here and the other lady said it was just fine! She said Fine, if you want to wait and see but I'm positive that they will reject it! :headache: So I wait till my number is called, fearing the worse, cus I DON'T want to do this again....3 hours and 50 minutes later....it was fine...he just asked about the rash on her cheek and that was it!
WHEW!!!!!!!! :scared:
So, we should have them in 3-4 weeks, just in time for the DCL passport deadline of August 5th!!!! :cool1:

Janice...Good Morning!
Yes!! That happens to me all the time! I just pm'd Cass this past weekend wondering if she knew why that happens. Funny thing is that it only happens when I try putting pictures of the kids in their albums on Yahoo. My album works just fine but I get kicked out of theirs too. And yes, the albums are under my login id. I'm glad to know it isn't just me. I'm wondering, do you have dial-up internet service?

Sorry Carrie, didn't mean to leave you out. I read Janice's post and answered before reading the rest. We'll have to wait for Janice to respond. Maybe it is a dial-up problem. (But that doesn't really make sense that I can post pics to my album and not the kids).

Glad I asked the questions about the pictures and know that it just not me. We don't have dial up, we have DSL through our phone company. So it can't be as easy as that being the common link.
Scott, we are going to be hot here in WI, heat index around 100, glad to have AC, can't imagine living in AZ w/no AC, stay cool.

She fell on it and broke it the last week of school, not at school though. Hopefully just 2 more weeks of the cast and they may let her switch to a splint and not recast. What time does the midnight buffie start and is thier any food layed on?....:rolleyes1
I feel duty bound to clear up these issues about the so-called midnight buffet...
For one thing it doesn't start at midnight...people call it that to confuse other guests.
For another, it's not the kind of buffet you'd expect... it's all dessert and people line up outside of Lumiere's 45 minutes in advance to get first shot at completely devastating said desserts before the other 2,000 guests can do the same.
The real buffet takes place down on deck E4 in a small cubbyhole recently vacated by a many-tentacled sea monster referred to as the Crocken. Here you will have the option of actually becoming a buffet item for the monster upon its "unexpected" return to its lair.
DCL doesn't advertise this second buffet...we discovered it by mistake...I lost a really good pair of shoes that night...
;) ;) ;)

Do you need to worry about food on a cruise???:rolleyes1  If you do there will be a buffet on deck for the Pirates do as well as the dessert buffet.
Now, I wouldn't normally do this, but there is a thread on cruisecritic that some of us might be interested in joining - a.k.a the splinter group! There was also someone on a thread for our cruise - 20th Oct, so I invited her to join our meery group. Could this be classed as poaching?

I know, and what else is hard is that he was such a family man, and a real true stand up person. It is so bizzare. He did leave behind 2 children from a previous relationship that were not home. I was so shocked to hear this.

When Spencer broke his arm last year he was able to get a Water Proof cast so he could go swimming. They charged us $30 bucks extra but it was well worth it. We were looking at Disney pictures a few weeks ago and we noticed his cast....we had forgotten that he had it while we were there as it didnt stop him from doing anything.
Well except the airport -he had to go through special screening to ensure he wasnt sneaking something in under the cast (LOL).

Thank you so much for all the PMs, my in box is full and I will try and get to type to each of you soon, promise! :) thank you for your support, it means a lot really.
School are not helping the situation, my solicitor wanted the answers to 2 questions prior to tomorrows meeting. I emailed and school Thurs, giving them till Mon to reply ( fair enough I thought) but they havent replied. slicitor e mailed the school DIRECt today and shes just called to say they have recieved and looked at her e mail but not replied. Shes steaming ! good for us though, as this makes the school look very poor and un organised!
The meeting tomorrow is with the chair of the school governors, and the local council. apparently the head teacher who wrote the letter wont be there ! WHY??? Im so mad,I want to look her in the eye and ask why shes lied! ( keep calm Linda, deep breathes!)
Will update you more after our 3pm meeting tomorrow! Poor Wayne he has to take more holiday time off work, just so he can attend! Elouise is off school witn eye infection ( probably from the swimming pool at the holiday park ! ) it was a great site in Dorest. Sadly it rained Sun and Mon non stop, luckily we used the outdoor pool on the Saturday. we spent alot of time in the play areas, penny arcades and the pub ! :) :thumbsup2

Good luck tomorrow. Glad you have a solicitor helping you out. Can't believe the response from the school - and they are teaching the kids?
Don't worry about responding to the PM's. We just want you to know we are thinking about you and your family. I for one feel your updates here are enough of a response. You don't have the time to sit and respond individually right now.
Again, Good luck tomorrow.

Not a problem. We will see what she says.
I guess the AC is fine. I am not sure what happened this morning but it is working fine now so we are saved that expense for now.

Scott says that getting one in our room would be even better. However I don't think that would work with the kids being in the same room. Maybe we should send the kids to AFEG:rotfl:
Scott and I had a date night at a wine bar and bistro the other night. I normally only drink Beringer White Zin, but this place was to upscale for that so they brought me something they swore I would like. Boy were they right. It was called Guntrum. Could you please tell me more about this wine?
I don't know exactly what wine you had, but I know that the Guntrum winery is from Germany. I would probably guess that they gave you some kind of Riesling as that is a sweet wine and one of Germany's specialties. My husband is not a wine drinker at all so whenever we are somewhere nice I suggest that he order a Riesling--I call it a good entry-level wine. :cutie:

I guess it would help if I typed everything that my dh wrote down. It was a Guntrum - Germany - Schedurebe Kabinett. That is all he wrote done on the card. Hope this helps some.

That helps quite a bit! :) I was right--what you had was a wine made from the Riesling grape. There are 6 levels of sweetness in Riesling. They range from Kabinett (dryest) to Eiswein (extremely sweet dessert wine.) Although Kabinett are the "driest" they are still a sweet wine. Very easy-going. Almost all Rieslings are sweet unless they are specifically called a "Dry Riesling." And that ends your tutorial on wine--hope it wasn't too boring. :snooty:

Nothing,if you lose someone in close quarter combat ie a built up area you start your search for them from the point where they were last seen and work your way out,so why have the portuguese police choose not to search in and around the village where she went missing from?....I'll lay even money she's still in the village where she was taken from....:sad2: :sad1: :sad2:

Hi everyone. I know that I have missed so much. I have just read the last couple of pages and see that Linda is kicking butt at school...Go Lindy Loo! You fight for your girl!
The trip across country was fine....long. We are here in Louisiana, and we've gotten a bit of bad news. Rob's mom's breast cancer is back. She had a lumpectomy yesterday and found out today that the lump is malignant. The surgeon thinks he got it all but they will do a mastectomy tomorrow. She went through this almost exactly 7 years ago. It seems the cancer has decided to recur in the other breast. Please say a prayer for her. If it is like last time, she will be fine, but we are concerned nonetheless.
Also, Rob has gone to VA to get us a house on base and alas, there are none. So we are homeless until we travel there at the end of July..haha.
Y'all have a great week and I will try to check in soon.

Rose, I love your new avatar although it makes Lori nervous. Lori, that's one of the funniest things I read today. Thanks for the laughs.
Well, guess who isn't laughing? My neighbor! Seems like Mr. Fed Ex dropped off another box while I was cooking and Chuck was otherwise busy. Cabo needed to check out the insides AGAIN!!!
He didn't get to destroy too much but there are bite marks on the inside boxes. Here's the even worse part. The box was delivered to our house instead of our neighbors house. I called her (phone number was on the box) and explained that Cabo got at it. She seemed ok with it on the phone. I walked it over and now she seemed a little p'-o'd. I'm thinking she was lucky to even get the box. Some other people may have just kept it instead. I never had to sign for it.
I apologized again and as I walked away I could hear her in the house talking to someone and she described me using a certain adjective that begins with an "F" and a noun that begins with a "B".:scared1: YIKES!! I sure didn't deserve that! Boy, you try to be a good neighbor. Just wait until the next box that is delivered here by mistake.

Grew up Catholic (not any more), but never went to Catholic school. Never was an alter boy.
We lived by an Episcopal (sp?) church and the pastor and his family lived 2 house down from us. They had a son a year older than me. He was probably the worst person to model your kids after. I hear that a lot about pastor kids.

Ok so AFEG was making some statements that really diserved a heres your sign.
Here is one. Kelsey our oldest DD at dinner was eating ice cream and says "boy this ice cream is really cold, I know ice cream is cold but not this cold.":rotfl:
Then we get home tonight and we live in a gated community. Well the west gate is broken (it is stuck open) We pull in the driveway and there is a truck at the call box calling someone to be let in. Hello the gate is open, go through it. :lmao:
