Thanks for the offer Linda. I do have a couple of scrapbooking shops that are local, but there not as good value as Hobbycraft. Hobbycraft also stock Flower Arranging supplies...my other obsession.
Heather
I also take advantage of any trip to the US and stock up when I'm there. I have already found a shop in Alaska when where there in May. Just need to find something in California now. But keep it quiet as Rick will go mad.

Easy does it Mike and Robin. I hope you are all stocked up on good food, good alcohol and of course, good chocolate. We've been getting snow all day today too but not as much as Ohio.

:lmao: :lmao:
Yeah, thanks for asking everyone - he did finally make it home. Had to drive backwards down an entrance ramp to get off the highway and killed time with a work buddy who was stuck in the truck in front of him on the highway.
Just goofy! It's still snowing here.
Hope you guys in Ohio are ready for some bigtime snow - keep warm!
As far as I know only guests staying in Concierge level rooms on DCL can order from Palo. That means Chris is everyone's new best friend! ;)

O.K. I hate the search function on the DIS.
I am trying to locate when we talked about Trip Insurance on our DIS meet. When you put in "insurance" in the search this thread screen, it comes back nothing. That is just F'd up. I know for a fact we talked about this and the deal the UKers could get for the full year.
What I'm trying to find out is the name of an American company that offered the same type of insurance. I know someone mentioned it. It would be a policy that would cover all my travels for an entire year.
Anyhow, if anyone remembers the name of the company or when we were talking about it (maybe one of our UKers knows by when they purchased a policy), I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

Hi! We're very icy here tonight. I hate ice. Closed the office early, and will probably go in late tomorrow.
I think I read somewhere that only cats 1-2 can order Palo for room service. We were booked in a cat 3 at one time. We've since moved. :cool2:
Nancy, hope you feel better soon. Brenda, glad Jason got home safe & sound. Paige, good luck with DH's promotion.
OK, all you "nudie" sleepers! My goodness, quite an eye opener! Security might seem some interesting articles of clothing, but no pajamas for this bunch! :rotfl2:
Cass, good for you for being the first one here to book a shore excursion. Wow! That's some planning! Sounds like fun! We're going to wait til the 105 day mark. But we'll probably book that Butterfly one in Key West. I think that was you who mentioned that one a few pages ago.
Does anyone here watch NCIS? We love it! Just know that Tony's girlfriend is going to get bumped off any day now. The writing is on the wall! :teacher:
Well, it's getting late! Jeff, I'm really bummed that your percentage to stay is that low. Keep talking to Suz!
Goodnight!

but in baby Kira case she is adorable full stop,a beautiful little thing who could be eaten in one mouth full with or without sugar.....
:goodvibes I tend to agree with you! Sometimes I just wanna cover her in chocolate and eat her all up!!
Poohbush, actually it's my second excursion booked so far! :woohoo: I booked the Dolphin Encounter at Chankanaab in January! The only one left now is the parasailing on Castaway Cay but I can't book that until 90 days out.
So, I am finally off my prednisone (steroids) and saw my hematologist today. My platelets are good but I gained over 10 lbs on the darn drug. Now I have 30 freakin' pounds to lose!! :headache: :sad2: The good news is that Kira is sleeping well in her crib and will be taking regular naps so I have time now to work out every day! And when it gets nicer out, I can even go for walks! This snow thing sucks!!
Brenda, glad Jason is home soon! Get workin' on that trippie ok?? I need some good Disney entertainment! :woohoo:
Nancy, I hope you are feeling better soon! It's tough to be sick and even tougher when you are kicked out of your own bed!! Dust stuff coming your way! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

I agree with Jeff, this is a great group to cruise with and I can't wait to meet everyone in person! It's gonna be weird cus we know each other quite well and yet have never been face to face. I hope it's not like my last cruise, I chatted with lots of DISers online beforehand but when we met face to face, a lot of people were too shy to even talk to us!! :sad1:
Note to fellow cruisers....if you see us, don't be shy!!! Come and chat with us...we don't bite....hard. We are Canadians, so we HAVE to be friendly eh????!!!!! :upsidedow

Oh Cass, thats so true with us too. IF you do see us on the boat or anytwhere else, please shout out to us. A couple of times, we truely didnt see other Dissers, I would hate the to think we were ignoring them. ( It was our first cruise so we were always over whelemed by what was happening) a super lady called Belinda would always come over and say Hi.We would discuss what we had done for the the day etc. Though Belinda wasnt on our table ( wish she had been, but our table was already so large) In fact if we could we would have had a table for about 25! We loved Jen Mike Kyle and Nicole too.
Pooh bush whats NCIS? is it an American TV show?
We get Prision break, Lost, 24.
Jeff do you want companies that do annual multi trip insurance?
We are with Atlas direct, but will look around for a good deal in May, when this one runs out. I THINK Karen got a good deal at the Post office? Ellis has an allergy, so her costs could be alot higher with some companies. Who ever she got, I know after looking she got a great deal. Sure Heather mentioned something too? I had better note the repies down, or i'll be asking in May !

Looks more and more like DD (Kristin) and her DBF (Jesse) will be going on this cruise with us. I got a quote for her from Dreams for a Cat 11. It is just under $2000.00. But add to that the flight, passports, tips, excursions, blah blah blah...it'll be considerably higher.
We had our taxes done last weekend and she is getting a nice chunk of change back from Uncle Sam. I'm thinking since today is Valentines Day, she will make her pitch to Jesse today.
Keep your fingers crossed! :thumbsup2
Now, this probably means that DS (Tony) and his Fiance' (Stacy) will also want to go.
I'm just loving it that my kids still want to go on vacations with us. It does also mean that it gets more expensive for us because now we have to put the dog in a kennel for 10 days. Poor Pooch!! I don't know a soul who would watch our guy for 10 days. He'll be almost 2 1/2 by October but is still a real handful. :sad2:
OK..I guess if I feel well enough to go to work (yuck), I can hop on that bike for a bit.

I'm looking for the one that will cover the whole year.
If Karen remembers when she purchased it, I probably could find the posts regarding it. Someone posted the name of a company in the US that had such a policy.
But to go through 200 pages of posts when you can't do a decent search is like finding a needle in a haystack. :sad2:

Hi folks...just catching up on the last few pages - why do you always talk so much when I'm not online:confused3 :rotfl:
The insurance co we used was direct-travel.co.uk, another good and cheap option is asda - (walmart may have a similar one). Just google seach under "annual insurance" - you should find several to choose from. It also depends on howe long your trips are for. Ours allows us 30 days or less vacation at one time and covers worldwide and any pre-existing illness if no hospitalisation within the last 3 years - pretty standard terms that most companies use.
Happy valentines day everyone:love: ....well.....the postman didnt bring me any cards:sad1: , but my son did make me a lovely one:goodvibes . Hubby forgot to buy one so used the spare card I had bought - great - I now buy my own cards:sad2: .

For Waynes pressie I did something soooo cool. Our friends get married in Jamacia in 2 weeks ( stag do and hen party this Sat)... so LOTS of crazy stories to come, no doubt!
We were showing them our 8 yrs old video of the wedding and hotel ( Sandals) which is were they are going. It looked quite dated, the VHS tape and box etc. Anyway I had it digitally enhanced, and all our original photos scanned and put in extra as a picture slide veture. I choose our song "Lifted" by the lighthouse family, to play over the photo slide. (Wayne has forever you and me, engraved in his ring)
The guy put some of my best pictures on the DVD and the case. It looks very professional.
I gave it to Wayne last night and we sat and drank so Asti ( I dont like champagne)..... no gags about me being "cheap" Mr Chris!
and cried our eyes out. It was so wonderfully clear and having our photos on the DVD too, it makes it so much easier to have it all in one place.
Im hinting for mothers Day I would like an hours DVD of Elouise from baby to now. We have stacks of Hi8 tapes or what ever, as well as 1000s of pictures, we rarely dig out. I might even get a holiday one done too.
Guess we have 12 hours of Florida tape to squeeze into 1 hour. :headache: :headache:

Ok, Jeff, or should I say Mr 142!
Had a day off today, too much ice to go anywhere. Our power was out for about 3 hours, so that wasn't fun. Sammie would walk into a room, and say "it's dark" everytime! Katie kept telling us we should have paid our bill! What does a 4 year old know about paying bills?
We all exchanged cards, and gave the girls a few Valentine's presents. All in all, a quiet day.

I agree with you all about making sure we meet on the cruise. I am a bit shy in person if I have to approach someone (although once I've met you you wont be able to shut me up!:rotfl: )
Perhaps we could have a mini meet before the cruise? We are there for a week before, so we could always meet up for an evening meal or drinks somewhere - Bahama Breeze is nice - we could hog the whole balcony outside!:confused3 If we pick a date early enough we could all work our itinaries around it. Anyone up for it? Either that or we could do the wishes or illuminations cruise together. I think the boat holds about 12 and its about $250 for the boat. I agree that we have to have some kind of DISmeet also. Anyone who is playing tag will have to get their taglist and their magnets to start the game.
On our last cruise we had a DISmeet on Sunday aboard the ship. I realize that this time around we will be in Key West instead on Sunday. A DISmeet on Saturday after the sailaway party and before early dining somehwere on the ship??
Some Konked Kruisers are arriving earlier the week of the cruise but I believe some may not arrive until Saturday or late on Friday.
We also had a follow up DISmeet on Thursday of the cruise.
One of our DISers also had a great idea on how to identify each other in the terminal on embarkation day. We all wore Mardi Gras beads to identify ourselves. It was rather fun running into people before even boarding the ship. A few of us had a mini DISmeet in the terminal!! I believe there were about 15 of us.
We definitely have to come up with something. If we all put our collective heads together, we'll come up with something.

In Oct, out table mates MJ, Sue, Allie and Janet, recognised Elouise from the photos i had put on our cruise thread, and that was before we even got to the secuirty checks! :thumbsup2 Wayne was parking the car, and they were sweet enough to say Hi and help direct me. !:)
Alot of us on the thread wore a small green ribbon tied on hand bags or in hair etc. This was great fun and we had a big group of us nattering around the sofa chairs in no time. :chat: :chat: There was a great benefit to this, as we queued for each other in the character lines and took pictures of each other too. This was a major help when Elouise decided she couldnt wait for the toilet just 4 off getting to Mickey!
We had a planned meet at 3pm by the Mickey pool which was wonderful, as the kids could go in the pool and play ( great if they are a bit shy, gives them something in common) and the adults meeted each other and exchanged small gifts. ( Kind of Distagging but in one big go ! )
We bumped into each other alot of the time and it really really made our cruise. They were an amzingly friendly happy and chatty bunch of people, and I thank them for all their advice and support they gave us prior and during the cruise. :grouphug:
count us in for a meet ........... wearing what ever.... within reason!;)

Cass, your baby looks just like you. I think you should post a pic of her once a month since babies change so much in the first year. She won't change that dramatically again until puberty, and believe me, the baby-look change is a lot more fun to watch than the "young woman" change!:rotfl2: Anyway, she is absolutely adorable!
As for a DisMeet, we are up for anything as well. We are arriving late on Friday, so I guess we'll have to catch up to everyone on Saturday.
Lindy, congrats on your May 08 trip. That sounds so tempting. We are planning 2 weeks at WDW in June 08. It'll be our first time in a DVC and we can't wait! But I have to say that the Freedom and Liberty sound great! We want to take our kids on a cruise when my DD graduates high school (2011), so that might be our time to skip a DCL cruise and go on the Freedom or Liberty since the kids will be older.
Ok, after seeing Cass' pic of beautiful Baby Kira, I feel the need to post......

Actually Disgrits, Cass takes weekly photos of her and she'll probably do a slide show of it all after 52 weeks. Maybe if you bug her enough, she might do a 2nd slideshow on her website so can see how much she's changed in the last 12 weeks. Cass does a wonderful job, she puts the week# and everything into the photo so you can really see the changes.
Kira will be 12 weeks tomorrow btw, time sure flies!
Nice pic btw, thanks for sharing :)

Ok, Cass, you heard it.....now get to it!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: We're waiting....:surfweb:
Darkrobe, you are so right...time flies! Y'all are getting to the stage that is my favorite.....5 months through 9 months. They are so much fun and not yet mobile! Enjoy. Enjoy. Enjoy. BTW, you and my DH share the same name-Rob. I am sure there will be no confusion on the cruise though, because when I say his name,I usually tack on a little sarcasm.:lmao: :lmao:
Alot of us on the thread wore a small green ribbon tied on hand bags or in hair etc. We had a planned meet at 3pm by the Mickey pool which was wonderful, as the kids could go in the pool and play ( great if they are a bit shy, gives them something in common) and the adults meeted each other and exchanged small gifts. ( Kind of Distagging but in one big go ! ) Count us in for a meet ........... wearing what ever.... within reason!;)
What a good idea - 3pm, by the Pool or deck 10? How about if we all wear lei's. We'll be ready for Sailaway! This will be easy for us to bring over or buy in Walmart the day we arrive. On our first Disney Cruise we met up with another DIS group and we exchanged postcards and sweeties fom home.
Rick and I don't arrive until Thursday afternoon. We have a complete day already organised for Friday (Segway tour at EPCOT, etc) as it's Dave's birthday, so we won't be able to meet up before hand.
Anyway, just need to get our thinking caps on!

We can set up a poll in the Yahoo Group to see where everyone would like to have a DISmeet / Tag-Info meet.
What time is the Muster Drill? We want to be careful about trying to get together too close to that or we may not have enough time for everyone to show up.
Personally I'm not a fan of meeting prior to Sailaway - it doesn't leave much time for people who are running late or who may need to make reservations for stuff once they board the ship.
But that's just me...I'm open to suggestions (of which I currently have none - ;) )
Nancy... you want to keep track here on the thread of people's suggestions for places to have a DISmeet? Once we have a fair number of ideas we can create a poll and let everyone vote.
The one with the most votes wins - nice and democratic!
OH! I do have an idea.... Let's have the DISmeet in AFEG's suite!
It rhymes - DISmeet in the suite!
AFEG would be a fabulous host
It would be nice and private and out of the elements just in case the weather is cruddy.
Chris, no pressure! It's OK for you to nip this idea in the bud, especially if you don't want 50+ DISsers traipsing through your stateroom. :goodvibes

I guess I should have been more clear earlier - I don't like meeting prior to Sailaway, but if we are going to do that then we need to cognizant of when the muster drill is so that we aren't too pinched for time.
Personally, I'd rather meet around 5PM - after the sailaway party when people are starting to clear out a bit and head to their cabins.
Although knowing Jay and me, we'll miss the sailway again because of baseball.

Good morning everyone....Ellis and I are up early baking scones. Yes.... its is 7.30am and they are already out and cooling. Sultana or cheese scones anyone? - actually by the time you get up they'll be in my tummy!
How long is the sailaway party?
It wont give us long but we could make a quick hello before running back to the cabin to see if the suitcases have arrived and getting ready for early sitting. Dont forget I'll get lost trying to find my cabin then I still have to find the dining room later:rotfl: .
Perhaps this is a good time to warn you I have ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE OF DIRECTION! Therefore, if you ever see me wandering the ship with a vague "I think I have passed this bit already" look on my face, please stop and point me in the right direction.:rotfl: I am not kidding, I went to my friends new house a few weekends ago. She gave me the guided tour and a bit later I needed to use the bathroom. I ended up in the back garden almost, then the pantry before finding the lounge again. Thanks for the tip Nancy - guess I'll have to warm up the VCR....we're going to the symphony with Jason's parents on Sunday afternoon.
Actually my calendar shows skating on ESPN from 7-10:30 Sunday night...4 Continents recap (I already know the results because I never know if anyone is going to show anything on TV anymore). The more I watch the skating this year the more I miss Michelle Kwan and I marvel at what she was able to accomplish technically and artistically at the same age as the current crop of skaters, who for the most part, leave me cold. There are some very promising junior level skaters out there right now who are actually better artistically than the crop of seniors we currently have (notable exception being Alissa Cizny - I probably spelled her name wrong - she has lovely presentation and spins but seems to have problems with her jumps).
**This concludes Wide World of Sports Figure Skating Edition - we now return you to more tropical topics**
All this talk of DISmeets reminds why I like the Eastern itinerary better - that extra sea day on Sunday somehow makes things a little more relaxed, IMHO.

Unless you book your Palo brunch for that day (not sure if they have it then or not) you should be fine around 11:00 a.m.
The Character Breakfast for the APL rotation will be over by then.
It was pretty nice watching the ship come into port and as I remember, there was plenty of time after the Late Char Bkfst. We had late on that day and I remember going to the room after, using the cell phone to call some relatives, and then still had time to go up to Deck 9 to watch us dock.

I actually like that idea best, too. Saturday can be so hectic and people end up not coming just for that reason.
By Sunday everyone has had a chance to settle in a bit and for what it's worth, I think it's easier for people to make it to a meet then.
The other idea would be to go ahead and have a meet on Saturday but schedule a separate get together on Sunday for the people who want to play tag - that way one thing doesn't get in the way of the other.

for people looking for rental rate don't forget to go to Mousesavers.com to get their rate discount codes. There are some good ones for Alamo, budget & Avis. We have to use a car service this time because we have 7 people, 2 of which are teen girls, that means lots of luggage.
Does anyone have a car service preference. I have received a quote of $387 from Happy Limo. This would cover MCO to BCV, BCV to Port, Port to AKV (hopefully) or BCV & Resort to MCO. It seems like a good deal but I am still checking.
Sorry about not posting a lot but I can't seem to find the time lately. My daughter constantly has my laptop to talk on the kid's cruiser thread.
Cheryl,
The girls are planning a dinner meet, we may have to intervene to make sure dates work for all of us, not just the girls. lol They forget sometimes that the whole family may not be available when they are.

Just sitting here running virus scans, updates, and spyware checkers on our work computers. Boring! Just a half day on Saturdays, so it's not too bad.
I too think we should meet on Sunday. Not too early in the morning please! Does anyone know the days the Palo brunch will be scheduled for?
Just called in another payment for our cruise. Just 5 more to go, and we'll be paid off! Planning on being paid off the end of June, so when July comes (our 105 day mark) we'll be all ready to book excursins & Palo.

Do we have a list of the floors we are on or the cabin numbers. I know we might not want to post them here but we could on the Yahoo form. It would be nice to know who was near whom. Let me know if we want to do this. As to the meet let me know the preference and I will work it out. We are going into Key West so maybe Saturday or the day at Sea would be best.

Yes, it'll be a sad day when I say goodbye to this house:sad1: . Its been a really happy home. We got married from here, bought Ellis home from the hospital to here, it'll be really strange calling somewhere else home.
We've had 4 viewings so far with 2 more planned for next week. One guy has ben back for a 2nd viewing and is talking to his bank re the mortgage on Monda so that sounds promising. The last lot I just showed round wanted me to leave the furniture:lmao: - yeah right! - I'll leave champagne in the fridge and a casserole in the oven for you too! - cheeky s*ds:mad: .

Just had the kids watch the Disney Cruise tape that I have from the Travel Channel. Also made them sit through our own home video of the cruise. Our poor daughter gets motion sickness quite easily and for her to sit and watch Chucks video almost put her over the edge. Anyone know where I can send him for videography lessons? He seems to think that you can swing that camera in all directions and expect people to want to watch it. YIKES!! I'm a litte queesy myself.
We now have all four kids thinking of cruising with us. Told them to decide quickly because the prices for flights and cruising is going up by the minute.

The funny thing is I don't remember saying that. Also, I only got about 3 or 4 mini's, which they aren't even doing anymore over there. Furthermore, the Tag Fairy obviously didn't see post 19,000 on that sight, which in itself is a "Pirate".

Judy, thanks for the dates! Jeff did that along time ago, but there's no way I'd find it. I couldn't remember what the exact 105 date mark was, so that helps alot! As we're in one of the suites on deck 8, we can't check prices on the website to see if they've gone down any. I'd have to call direct, and that's sort of a pain! So, I'll just be satisified with what we've got.
We just watched The Wild, and there were alot of Lion King references in it. Lion King is my all time favorite Disney movie! Hakuna Matata!

Karen, she's probably coming back because she knows what it's like to actually live in a house rather than a showpiece. Maybe you've got a smart potential buyer on your hands! :goodvibes
I've never understood the marketing of homes that are for sale...should it be clean and well maintained? Yes. Should it look like the people who live there shuffle around with kleenex boxes on their feet and latex gloves on their hands? No.
Good luck with everything!

I just wanted to thank everyone for the birthday wishes!:thanks:
Rob and I and the kids had a nice dinner followed by a short shopping trip to Target. I found shirts for my boys for formal and semi formal night, and a skirt for DD for pirate night/semi formal night--really cute black eyelet skirt. Eyelet fabric seems to be the new style....Last week we found a really cute white sundress made of eyelet fabric--It makes her think she is in style and grown up and still reminds me of when she was little.:cutie:
Sorry to ramble; I had a little time on my hands before hitting the gym to work off last night's dinner.:scared1:

Cass, How did your Cruise Party go last night? We had one too for DD and her DBF. Made them watch every tape we had but I think I went too far when I busted out the flip chart!!:lmao:
I put out bowls of fresh fruit (thank you to Sams Club for having grapes the size of golfballs), raspberries the size of grapes, grape tomatoes double in size. Chuck was wondering if they were the same size as last years kidney stone he passed.:rotfl2: I think the heirs of Sams Club are injecting their fruits and veggies with steroids.
Even with all that healthy stuff to eat to keep their minds completely clear to listen and absorb every word I spoke, I notice Jesse nodding off and Kristin getting comfortable with her head in his lap with a pillow over her face so I couldn't tell if she was sleeping. PUNKS!!! Don't they know how serious this all is??:confused3
DS was supposed to come over today to talk a little more about it but I think his lovely little sis tipped him off and he's nowhere to be found now. :tiptoe:
So Cass, here's a question for you. Did you ever think about renting out your cruise video and cruise pics on your website? Since we are still plagued with "dial up", watching your video and getting passed pictures #18 were impossible. I even left my computer alone all night hoping I'd find all the pictures this morning. Nope...still stuck on #18 and the video won't even start up for me. I suppose when Kristin comes home from her third straight weekend of wedding dress shopping for her future SIL we can all gather around her laptop and enjoy the benefits of high speed internet service and take a close look at your site.:surfweb:

Brenda,
I noticed that we are both staying at the BCV's before the cruise. Maybe we'll meet up some evening in the hot tub by the Dunes pool. This is one of my favorite things to do, I put the kids to bed or in front of the TV and go down to the hot tub to relax for a while. ( without constantly hearing someone yell for me)
We are also owners at both BCV & SSR and like them both for different reasons but if going during F & W you have to stay at BCV. We always ask for a Dunes pool view so that I can watch the kids from the balcony with a beer in my hand and a smile on my face. (The smile starts the second I leave MKE and gets bigger every mile closer we get to WDW.
Have a great night everyone

I was wondering if any of you have stayed at the port the night before the cruise. Any suggestions? We are driving in on the Friday night. I would like to leave my car at the hotel, so free parking/shuttle service is a plus. If not, have you ever taken a cab, and how much was it?
Our original plan was to stay in Jacksonville at the base, then head out on Sturday morning, but I am afraid of being delayed because of a traffic accident on I-95.....

Wayne returned safe and sound, but worse for wear at 5am.,... apparantly, I was obviouosly in the land of nod! He looked very rough all day sun according to Elouise, and he had to take her to a birthday party then kick boxing, where the instructor got him to "help out" and hold the mat, for the kids to kick. Great with a hangover ! No outragous stories, or not that I have been told. I didnt check his bum for tatoo! :rotfl:

Chris, Was the Turkish Dwarf the same guy as your "Adolf Hitler"??? :rotfl:
Jeff, I notified DCL that there are a few passengers who may be trying to smuggle some laser pointers onto the ship. I was assured that anyone caught with one will be gagged and bound and made to watch the rest of us eating fresh shrimp. I also mentioned your name as the "godfather of the pointers" and DCL assured me once again that you are now on their black list for future cruises. :thumbsup2
Karen, how's the house selling going? Don't listen to Chris about the buns in the oven. It's too close to cruising time and I believe there is a ban of pregnant ladies in the cruising rules.
Cheryl, Jesse pre-registered for the Birkie and will call me with his number. I'll post it here as soon as I get it so you can be sure to toss a banana or two his way. No fair aiming for his head. You may be meeting him in October and he never forgets a "tosser".
Paige, we were originally planning on staying at the Marriott in Cocoa Beach on Friday night. Now since the kids are "thinking" of joining us, we may have to rethink that decision and switch to the Hyatt airport. Chuck and I are flying out of Milwaukee non-stop to Orlando. The kids couldn't find any direct flights from Milw on Friday so they may fly out of Chicago instead. A nice cheap flight was found but it doesn't arrive in Orlando until Friday, late afternoon. I don't feel like sitting around the airport for hours with all our luggage waiting for them all. Checking into the Hyatt may just be the most convenient thing for us. Costly, yet convenient.
Brenda, Yup, we have a heat wave forcasted for Wisconsin mid week. We may be hitting 39 on Wednesday. By Saturday, 45. I can just see all of us crazy Wisconsinites this weekend. We'll be in our driveways in shorts and t-shirts washing our cars, golf courses will be open, and our car windows rolled down. :dance3:

Hi everyone:wave2:
Just a quick hello.
Another young couple just left from viewing - she couldnt stop smiling and was already talking about where her stuff would fit etc so that looks promising!
My hubby just called. He drives past the house we like regularly and was bothered about a car that always seemed to be parked outside "our new house" but not on the driveway. Well, he refused to buy the house on the grounds that some "tosser" could park his car outside our house and partly block the drive - bad *** we have 3 cars between the 2 of us to park.. Today it was on the drive so it must belong to the owners anyway:banana: . Phew! - thats pleased him *** it means it'll go when they do! - sorry - bit of a ramble but I'm chuffed:yay: .
ps - Ellis went back to school today -  - normality rules!

Hum Nancy? Did you check Air Tran's website?
I just went on there and they have non-stops to FL for $195.80. They have two flights listed each way. On Fri 10/19, they have 8:00 a.m. - 11:36 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. - 6:28 p.m. Returning on Sun 10/28, they have 11:40 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and 6:58 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.
They could come back on the later flight on Sat 10/27 if they wanted. The earlier flight that day is $60 more, plus you'd have to rush to the airport.
Midwest also has seats leaving on Friday 10/19. If they come back on 10/27 it would be $288. Coming back on Sun 10/28 would be $312 unless they connected through Kansas City, then it would be $239. If they wait until Mon 10/29, they can go non-stop both ways for $216.
Not sure what you were looking at. Maybe something came up this morning on the airlines. :confused3
See, I help you out and what do you do? Report me to the DCL authorities. :lmao:

Staying at the port is easy and inexpensive. We stayed at the Radisson at the Port and had a two room suite for $156. You can get smaller rooms for lower prices but we figured it was our last night to have a bedroom to ourselves for a while so we wanted the privacy. You do not need to book the cruise package to get the free shuttle or the free car parking. If you want more ideas you can go to Mousesavers.com and she has a whole section on staying near the port. If you do choose the Radisson make sure you book your shuttle as soon as you book your room. The early shuttles to the port fill up early. We were on the first shuttle at 10 am and were checked into our cabin and received KTTK cards by 11 am and were on the ship by noon.
We are stying at WDW the night before and using a limo service because we have too many people for a rental car and because we are DVC nd we have not used our 2007 points. (for the first time ever I am not a year ahead on my points and we actually banked some. I am having the Disney DT's right now)
Last year we were at WDW as on Tuesday and on our Cruise Saturday, I need a fix badly
Haven't seen Cheryl on here lately, hope everything is OK, her daughter is very active on the kids site.

Yes, my DH is in the USMC. We're moving to Quantico, VA in June, and plan to retire from there in 4 years. (In what seems like a lifetime ago, my DH was a pilot as well. Well, stillis I guess, he just doesn't fly anymore.):cool1:

Yah - Cheryl reminded us that it's just 8 more months til our cruise. That's great! Chris - big hugs to you:grouphug:
Nancy - lovely news about your kids cruising - the more the merrier!
Cass - oh my god - you are gonna have to hide that baby or I'm gonna keep her. She is just the cutest little munchkin:cutie:
Tina - we had problems potty training Ellis - he just wasnt interest for ages. We gave up and the one day I just said "forget it... you tell me when you want out of these stinky nappies and into big boy pants." Said no more about it and put the potty in the corner out of the way. Within 2-3 days he'd decided on his own that he wanted to try. *** it was "his" decision he tried and within the week he was dry day and night. A little "reward prezzie" works well too!. Wrap up something in a big box with ribbons and bows - make it look extra special. Put it somewhere she can see and explain to her that when she is dry in big girl pants she gets to open the prezzie *** she's such a clever big girl and you're proud of her. Yeah - its bribery but who cares:confused3 - worked for us;)
It wasnt that Ellis couldnt do it - it was laziness and he didnt have an incentive. - That box sure was a good incentive. A nice and bright and visual reminder that she has to choose to try or leave the prezzie on that shelf.
good luck:thumbsup2

Nothing wrong with admiring an attractive individual...
Now, if I happened to see Jason starring after some drop-dead gorgeous woman with his tonque hanging out of his mouth then I might have a problem...;)

Hi folks
Just spent the afternoon on ebay:surfweb: - selling not buying for a change!
We are still "de-cluttering" and making money:banana: . Sold loads of Ellis' baby stuff, toys, clothes etc - up to £125 so far and loads still to go.
How did we all manage before p.c.'s?:confused3 I do everything online. Even just paid my tax disc online. Thank god for technology:rotfl: - even if I dont understand half of it. I just need to wait a year or two then Ellis will teach me:goodvibes
Good news on the house - the lady who came last night is coming back with her daughters tomorrow then I think she will offer:banana:
We have a property to view on Friday ourselves so it could all be going smoothly - am I tempting fate by saying that? - I take it all back just incase.
Chris - sorry - I only know one handsome guy and he's all mine! - Its easy to see because he has "SOLD" tatooed on his head:rotfl: :rotfl:
ps- its not time to go,..but it IS time to pack:rotfl2:
Brenda - I caught Neil watching the woman gym instructor today at the poolside doing my aqua class. When he realised he'd been caught he started laughing and nearly fell off the treadmill. Then it was my turn to laugh.:rotfl:

No fair Steve! But good for you! It always seems more official when it's paid in full! Then when the docs arrive, woo hoo - even better! :woohoo:
Karen, good suggetsion about the big potty bribery. We've tried small bribes. Right now she's really loving the Matchbox type cars from the Cars movie. I had an unopened pack of them sitting out, and told her we'd open it when she sat on the potty and did something all by herself. Little sneak opened them up and brought the empty container to me! :rolleyes1 With Katie, the My Little Pony promotion was going on at McDonald's. We awarded her with a new Pony, and she was done in no time flat. She loved getting new ponies!
Cass - Kira gets cuter and cuter with each picture!
Nancy, how fun that your kids are going too. We tried convincing my parents and my sister and her hubby to come along with us, but no bites.

hey I'm joining this cruise!
I love the buildup to it, talking with DIS'ers..... the anticipation! YIPPEE!
It will be me DD 42, DBF (Dear boyfriend)40, and DS17.
This will be cruise #3 for me and DS.
We did a land and sea wonder cruise in 2003, then a 7 day western in
November 2005.
That second cruise was the best vacation we'd ever had. So we're so
excited about this one and hopefully DBF will love it as much as we do.
Can't wait to meet everyone!:yay:

Welcome to our cruise,
It is kind of humerous that you are from Liverpool, NY, Most of the people on here are either from WI (like me) or from England. You are a combination of US with a English twist. We like to post a lot so feel free to join in. How old is DS, we have a kids cruisers site but currently it is all girls in the early part of their teens.
Have a good night,

Chris, Please pm either Brenda (Oybolshoi) or myself and give us your email address. The Yahoo site is by invitation rather than a link. (Neither Brenda nor I can access that site at work, so you'll probably have to wait until we get home tonight).
BTW...glad to see you're back. We were starting to wonder if you decided to change your cruise date. Also, we have a Konked Kruiser's (that's us) list started, so in your pm please give us your family's specs. Names, ages, etc...
Scouter, please pm us for your invitation to the yahoo group also and family info to be added to our Konked Kruiser's list.

Chris, my kids (all four) will be flying in on Friday via Delta also. Do you have a stop in Atlanta? They are leaving early (I believe at 7:00am) and arriving in Orlando at 12:30 or so. You may all be on the same flight.

Paige asked what the REAL Engand looks like, so I took a few photos of where I live and of Brighton pier and seafront ( about 14 miles south of my parents house) It seemed weird taking photos, *** I lived there for so long, and never really took much notice of the beauty around me.
Sadly it rained on soe days I took photos, so they are a bit dark, but I guess this shows how it really is..... not sadly the sunny bright pictures of Florida.
