hahah! where in Germany did you go? I spent some time in Hamburg, it was boring to me compared to everywhere else i had been! hahah!! Food was delish though!!

we went EVERYWHERE. You can practically drive across the whole country in like a day. We got sooo sick of schnitzel. It was w/ everything. The only cool thing was the restaurants were neat. And we always had dinner with a LARGE group of fun lovin Germans. A big family. Though who knows what they were saying half the time. ;)

I totally know what you mean. I love on tv where the homes in the nice climates have doors completely open. No screen. The wall just practically opens up. But I am scared of bugs.

Tia i totally missed the last paragraph of you post! Yes, i do the yellow ribbon phone charm, i either do the yellow ribbon alone or I can do the yellow ribbon and a flag charm :)

I would like the yellow ribbon with the flag I think. How much are they? I might want to pick a few up for my Mom and my MIL, and SILs. Let me know how much and how I pay you ok? I can send a check or whatever.
Thanks SO MUCH Michelle!

I do have the charms on order and should pick them up either today or tomorrow depending on when they come in :) I can do them for $6 each and i take checks or PayPal :) just let me know what is easier, i'm pretty easy! Then it will most likely be about $2 to ship out to you :)

Let's do 3 cell phone charms with the flag and ribbon. And while Ry has a cell phone, I don't think cell phone charms and boys go together. :lmao: Soooo.... is it easy to do a backpack pull for him with the flag and ribbon?
And, can you PM me your address again? I will send a check in the mail today if I get your addy within the next 15 minutes or so!

I will probably order the lanyards from you too when we get closer to our trip!

Hi gang,
Well sadly it has started. Remember i told you this program that i'm in has a 50% failure/drop rate. Well we had a test today, while most of the class passed including me(got an 85%) 3 guys failed and were droped from the class. In a way i felt so bad for them. We went to lunch and when we got back 3 seats were empty and the captain told us the news. scary enough we have another test tomorrow of 200 questions,i'm terrified!!!!You have to get better than an 80 or it's a failure. We do training on mondays and tuesday, consist of outdoor rescue training, very cool stuff. Then wednesdays and thursdays are classroom and book work. then friday is review of class work and outside rescue work. I look foward to mondays and tuesdays. thats really it, i been hitting the books for the last 2 hours for tomorrows test,i'm beat! Goodnight all, sorry i have not been around a lot lately, but i have a ton of books to read and studing to do.

Sean's brother's family lives in Germany and we've been. Not fun. Very germany. So this turns me off. We did think Spain was kind of cool.

These never went away. My MIL still wears them.

Just stock up on low-rise now. JK> I'm sure you'll be able to still find normal jeans. Like for example khaki green cargo pants...I love these, but they were out for a short time in college. After looking everywhere, I took to ebay and found luck.

Why didn't anyone tell me I've been posting around with a little x in my signature? I'm so embarrassed. I normally use Firefox which apparantly makes the little x's invisible. Gotta take care of that.

MRFDNY--Hope your test goes well today. Praying helps too.

JULSMOM--No ADRs yet...we made a list of where we want to eat, but its dark and I can't see it and the light is across the room, so I'll guess...

Places we've never been:
On our anniversary--Fultons Crab House
Rainforest Cafe
Boma
Playhouse Disney character lunch (or breakfast)
Spoodles?
Chef's De France

Places we've been:
Coral Reef
Ohana?
Le Cellier?
Kona cafe (we're staying a Poly a few days)
Norway (never been with princesses)
LTT (___]___) (Sorry Cat, my butt isn't as good as yours, I can't find the right line)

Oh and guess how long our trip is...10 nights! I had no clue it was so long. We are staying at the Poly for 4 and then BCV for 6. We'll probably get dining plan the second portion, but I don't know.

Also, I need an intervention. I keep planning our family around Disney trips. Like I can get pregnant in April or May because I'll be in the 4th month (less MS) but not June or July. Am I crazy? I did this last year too (we've been trying for a while). I think I'm crazy but I can't change my brain. Fix me.

Chris---Can't believe your stranded in Dulles. DH hates dulles. I've got no feelings toward it, but I hate those stupid "buses" between terminals. I'd pay 6.95 too.

Tia, birthdate please.

I have everyones addy's but not these birthdates.

Thanks!!! Oh, I only need them so I can send you something.

Today. heehee

Julsmom--It was a postcard thing that my DH got in the mail. I think its because HE hasn't booked a vacation in 5 years. I do all the vacation booking, but he booked our honeymoon. I theorize its for people who haven't been there in a while to get them to come back.

That's my thought process too. My mom and dad and I always book, but no code. My friend got the code for her recent trip, but hadn't been in five years also.

I went to LTT at dinner - once. And I liked it alot, until.....

I got one of those 'bathroom-type' tummy aches. Thankfully we were near PoC where I could have an 'assisted' bathroom all to myself.

I know it was super hot, and had been a long day - BUT Im terrified to go back from that one butt-blasting experience.

= Me in FRANCE!!!!! ICK!

Ok, so I haven't caught up yet, not nearly!!!!! BUT wanted to pop on and say :

Help me remember something:

DH and I remember an attraction. I thought it used to be in tomorrowland. It was a theater in the round type of thing. I robot ran the controls up front. A small spherical robot that flew was the movie. I think the small one was called 8 eye. It went back in time. When one of his eyes opens a screen would open. So when all his eyes were open, then all 8 screens would be open.

Anyone?

We're home now. DH is home too. They lost power at his work. Alex had her two year checkup. She's still tall, which I'm psyched about since I'm short. I hope she stays tall.

Oooh, I bet she will be tall. I used to get so anxious when Jul would have to get shots.

So I still feel like crap. But I had so much to do I could not lay in bed today. Now that I am sitting again, I feel ICKY! An old friend was in town so we met for lunch. It was so good to see her. She is one of those friends that can ALWAYS put things into perspective. Plus she lives like an hour or so away from Disneyland so she invited Ry and I out to visit! Woo Hoo!
It is rainy and cold and nasty here again. It is supposed to be warming up though over the weekend. Here's hoping!
Alright, I am off to go get Ryan. I will talk to you all later!

Still feeling icky. A bit better but not much. My show for today got rescheduled so I am THRILLED I don't have to go be "perky" Tia today.
Sun is shining here again. I don't get this weather at all! Hot then cold then hot then cold.
Ohhhh perfume shopping. I need a few new scents for spring/summer! I should probably go up to the PX because they are so much cheaper there and NO TAX! I love some of our benefits.
Today I plan on doing nothing. Maybe a load or two of laundry. That's pretty much it.

Hey Michelle!
Ry is still sleeping! That kid is so his father's child! I am still sick.. but not much I can do about that!
How are YOU this morning? Besides getting rained on?

Awwww, I can't wait for our R&R! The military life is not great on families with lots of kids. It is hard enough with one or two without adding more to the mix.
But yes, things happen for a reason. And I don't think we can be the judges of why things turn out they way they do!

I am debating about getting me a AP when I go in Nov. We will be going back in Oct 08 for the cruise and will probably spend a few days at the parks too. Do I have to use the tickets up first and then buy the AP or buy my AP first and use it then? I hope that made sense!

It depends on if you have no expiration on the tickets or not. :) If you don't, then you have to use them within 14days of first using them. OR if you don't use them at all, then they are good forever :)

Morning all!
I have been fighting the sickness for the past few days. I honestly feel pretty crappy today. blah.We tried Le Cellier and I wasn't blown away by it. We had lunch there, and I think I would like to try dinner just once to see how it compares.

First, sorry you were feeling like warm dog doo! Second, YES! try LeCellier for DINNER. We went for lunch (when we were paying) and it SU-you know what-ed-then the past two years we have gone for dinner on free dining and it has been absolutely FAB!!!!

You know the ones where the top half will only open or the bottom half?? i totally want one! hahah! anyone have one??

When I moved into my house there was one of these between the kitchen and dining room... we ripped it out.

UGH!

WHY CANT I WIN THE FREAKING LOTTERY?!?!?!?

I hate working. :guilty:

Because if you won the lottery you wouldn't have time for US!

ohh no!! i hope your pain gets better! are you going to the doc??

I did not go to the doc. My friend put an icy/hot patch on me, and DH went out and bought icy/hot rub and did that for me. (i sent him out for doans pills!!!! but that's what he came home with) It felt like my skin was burning off!!!! I said, if this is what hell is like all over your body, we need to repent, repent, repent!!!! BUT, the next morning I woke just stiff, no more excrutiating pain!

Jul at the wonderland tea party at GF:

Uh, yeah. Right. Or is this like my brother being the oldest sibling because HE decided he is? I mean, I feel relatively safe speaking for the 'life-experienced' among us by saying: You are WELCOME to be the old lady here. We'll claim to be younger than you ;)

Yeah, you can do that, because I sure feel lots older;) Oh, and does anyone else think it funny that CR would be my MOTHER- in -law, but I would bbe a year and a half OLDER than her???? I think that is hillarious! (oh, and oof course she looks WAY younger than me!)

Have I asked you before where in MA you are????

Well peeps i've fallen in love with another perfume!! Last night i was Chanced! YUP! DH got me a small bottle of Chanel Chance and they gave him a bunch of samples of other perfumes and such with the sample! It was pretty neat! it smells like heaven! My sister in law wore that on her wedding to my brother. I thought the name of the perfume was hillarious...

Ohhhh perfume shopping. I need a few new scents for spring/summer! I should probably go up to the PX because they are so much cheaper there and NO TAX! I love some of our benefits.
Today I plan on doing nothing. Maybe a load or two of laundry. That's pretty much it.
I will talk to you all in a bit!

I am such an oldie! I still wear Perry Elllis 360 and Jessica McKlintock... and once in awhile, does anyone remember Camp Beverly Hills???? I have a bottle of that I have been nursing since College! I really miss the old sunshine one that Bath and Body Works used to have. I also have Candies. YUP, just a dork from the 80's over here! (loved the smell of Aqua Net too!)

ANTSSS - Man, busy weekends suck ****!

Ummmm....thats all. I gotta take Danny to the airport tonight. He's going to see his Dad in Florida. Joey didnt wanna go.:confused3 Teenagers are freaking weirdo's.

Free trip to FLA and he turns it down???? That is ODD!!!! I would kill for some warmth... well not kill, then I would go to hell, and we all know how I feel about burning flesh;) It is snowing here!

Antss: we will miss you for the next 48 hours. Take care!

I LOVE TB! I found a bottle of it with 2 soaps at Marshalls on clearance for like $15.00! SCORE! :thumbsup2

That is AWESOME!!!! My 360 is now only sold at Marshalls and TJMaxx... I don't know what I will do when they run out! Ebay I guess! My mom still buys perfume from LONG ago that has LONG since been discontinued on EBAY... her mother used to wear it.

OK, so am I the only one that doesn't have a trip planned now????? As DD would say "oily ve" Is it me and PJ???? but at least he has his ideas set on when he can go!

Go Diego Live was okay today. A little on the short side. But then again, I am used to the ice shows that disney does, not the stage shows, so i don't know how long a kids thing should be. i guess it was perfect because there were no cranky kids!

We went to Not Your Average Joes today and I had THE BEST STEAK!!! It was marinated in Soy and Lime juice, topped with pico de gallo, and served over jasmine rice SOOOOO GOOD! I am going to try to re-create it at home!

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled weekend! Hope you all are having a great time... and that Antss will return soon!

Hi gang,

Whats doing?? Do not, i repeat do not buy disney annunal passes!!! We bought disney Ap's in 2005, what a mistake!! We were forced to go on 3 trips to disney, it was horrible!!! Ok that was sarcasm!!! I figured out that disney Ap's come out to the price of a 14 day park hopper ticket, so if you plan on going to the parks for more than 14 days in one year, then they are worth it!! Remember you can buy them at any time they do not activate until you walk thru the gates at any disney park. So once you step foot in the park and use them the first time then there good for 1 year from that date.

You also get other perks as well, we ate at the rain forest in animal kingdom and found out if you show them your Ap's you get either 10 or 15% off your bill. You get discounts for mini golf and disney shopping in the parks only(does not work at the disney shopping website) There are a ton of other perks, you'll have to look around to find out what they are, since my memory is shot to nothing from all the reading and studing i've been doing.

One thing thru this rescue class i found out, which i had no idea that we do alot. If you have side door airbags and you use a slim jim(a thin piece of metal used to unlock the cars locking system,so the doors can be opened)Say you lock yourself out of your car and your child is locked inside with the keys in the car. Well people used to call 911,thats where we would slim jim your window and get your car to unlock,by clicking the locking device in the door's body, between the door. Well if you hit the airbag sensor instead of the lock hinge, the airbags will deploy and your end up with the slim jim in your face or in your hand. The air bag deploys at like 500mph,so the force with shoot the slim jim into your face or into your hand very badly. One FDNy guy in the bronx ended up with over 300 stiches and 3 hours of nuro surgery, after the slim jim ended up inbedded in his face and skull. He'll be fine, just a warning of something new i learned in school.

BTW i will try to find the perks of having a disney AP for you guys and post it here.

Ok PJ, the whole slim jim through my hand or head thing wigged me out just a tad. But that's good to know... leave it to the pros! :thumbsup2

Colleen- The whole perfume thing. Too funny. I have a VERY dear friend who is all about the 80's too. Although thank god she doesn't do the fluff chick hair thing. :rotfl: But I adore her, so you remind me of her!

I just watched "The Holiday". If you have nto seen it yet and need a good romantic comedy... go rent it! I LOVED it! Boy with Terry being gone, I am getting to see all kidns of movies that are to my liking. There are not many movies we agree on. The other movie that YOU MUST SEE is the Prestige. SO SO SO GOOD!

K, I am off to do some surfing before bed.

PJ, Thank you for the info!!!!!! :cutie: You are awesome.

Patsfan, That pic of Jul was the Wonderland Tea Party. The kid have a tea party (GF) and meet Alice and the Mad Hatter. Jul had fun. Do NOT confuse it with the Disney My Girl Tea Party, which is $200. This one was like $25. The parents don't stay. They gave us pagers and Sean and I wandered around GF. It is like an hour.

So I could buy the APs now and they will not be activated yet? Do I have to tell them that? Cat, did you buy yours yet?

Also, I inquired about AAA b/c I thought we could use those room discounts if we are traveling when there are no AP discounts (november). We are now thinking of checking in on Nov. 25 instead of 23 b/c value season starts that day. Can anyone find last years AP discount dates so I could see if they had Nov/Dec ones? Thanks.

Go Diego Live was okay today. A little on the short side. But then again, I am used to the ice shows that disney does, not the stage shows, so i don't know how long a kids thing should be. i guess it was perfect because there were no cranky kids!

I've been looking if anyone went to this! Was Dora in it at all?? autumn wanted to see it so bad, but she just isn't into Diego that much!

If you order them from WDW or something like that, don't think the DS sells them anymore, but they might. They DO NOT come activated. The activation begins the first day you walk through the turnstiles with them.

That is why we got AAA and the package through them was about 100$ more than DIsney for some reason!

Yes, Dora made two appearances. They were both in the second act. That was ok with my DD as she is 5 and could understand that Dora was coming later and had the patience to wait. We also had a two year old with us, and he was jonesing for Dora. He didn't act out or anything, but he REALLY wanted to see Dora... they mentioned right before intermission that Diego's cousin would be coming, and it took like ten minutes into the second act for her to appear.

Morning everyone!!

I have used AAA discount before. It kind of equals the tax, (at least at the value's). Like, when I used it, the rack rate was $77 plus tax for POP. With AAA it was $77 inclusive of taxes. I have been booking through Dreams Unlimited for three or four years now, so I don't remember if Disney asks for your AAA number when booking, but DU definately does. I have never been asked for my AAA card at the desk, but the reservation does say to have it with you, or your rate will be reverted back to rack.

Funny story of the AM = DS is trying to put a diaper (his diaper, size 5) on a Barbie doll under her wedding dress!

DD stayed over at Nannies last night. I just can't get off the DIS. I will have to move it, move it! I should have gone to 11AM Mass, guess I'm going to 6:30 or 7PM tonight!

It depends on if you have no expiration on the tickets or not. :) If you don't, then you have to use them within 14days of first using them. OR if you don't use them at all, then they are good forever :)

You know what kills me the most Cat, is all of the grass in that picture! My gosh it's pretty. We aren't known for our lush yards round these parts. THAT is one reason I NEED to live someplace that actually has moisture. I love flowers and grass and trees. *sigh*

I hope they make the darn announcement soon about free dining. Otherwise I am just going to book for when Ryan has his fall break. Which is like the second week of October. Then again, he did fine missing school for a week the last time. I should probably take advantage of this time because in a few years his work load will be too much.

Michelle - Have fun at Brunch. We don't have any places like that in the "city" (and I use the term loosely) we live in. Pretty casual around here.

I tried convincing Terry (we got to talk for like an hour off and on yesterday) to move to Florida. He said "Other than Mickey, WHY do you HAVE to move there?" I had no answer. :rotfl: I need to come up with some good ones and get back to him. He is not a fan of Disney AT ALL and he hates humidity. :sad2: I feel like this is the time when we should do something like that, while Ry is still young enough to enjoy and appreciate it!

This leads me to a question .... if you lived in Orlando and could go to WDW anytime you wanted, do you think it would take some of the magic away from the yearly trip? Do you think it would get old? I can't imagine getting bored with Disney, but what are your thoughts on it?

And you know whats funny? I hate the grass. Thats our yard and I never go back there... when I 'lay out', I lay on a lawn chair in the driveway!

And when I lived in Tampa, I went everyweekend, sometimes 2 days in a row....never got old. :thumbsup2 I was only there for a year, but still. Sometimes it seemed better.... we were never in a rush!

One time I was wearing a thin white t-shirt, with this purple butterfly print on one side of it and really thin khaki pants, and purple flip flops.... and out of no where RAIN!!! I was drenched.... The boys started laughing at me "MOM HAS A PURPLE THONG ON!!!" and I looked down and  I WAS SEE-THRU!!! You could see my purple bra, and purple thong!!! I said to the boys 'we gotta go' - and we headed out of the MK. Everyone was huddled under the awnings, and there was no where to walk but right down Main Street. I was a walking Porn Parade.... with Joey in front and Danny behind me. :sad2:

Hi, Poppers!

Just a quick note to let you know that we got home (at 4 AM today, flight was delayed because of storms in Milwaukee????!!!). The balance of our trip was great, I'll post more later, including pictures. Never did go to the parks.

It looks like we might be among the crowd if free dining comes up. That would mean TWO trips in the fall! DS and his clan can't get away until the week after Thanksgiving, and we're going with them. But Jim didn't want to miss the opportunity for free dining--it's a great time to try some new restaurants. And, of course, since we didn't go to any parks this trip, we really need to go again soon!

One quick warning--

If you decide to use the resort airline checkin (and I do recommend it!), please be careful to check your boarding passes! I had gotten the wrong ones, for a flight to Louisville, KY, instead of Newark, NJ. There was another couple at Pop with the same names as ours! I thought that was so weird! We got our problem straightened out, but the other couple had already checked in and had the wrong boarding passes also. I hope they got things worked out!

I am thinking about going during free dining, but I think I may have to go as early in Aug. as they are going to allow. AND, if the rumor is true that it is 8/26, then I don't think I could go. It will be Sarah's first year of 'real' school = Kindergarden. It is not because I think she will "fall behind" as she knows most of the answers to "Are you smarter than a fifth grader!" BUT, more for the social ramifications .... see, in Sept of 2005 we had her in a PK for the second year, and I wanted a specific teacher. They didn't give her that teacher, so they said give it a month, then see if you still want her switched, and I did, (3 weeks, plus the week we were in disney) and when she joined the new class, the girls had already formed their clique and the poor girl never fit in. She only had one friend in the classroom and it was a lone boy. We tried having playdates with the other girls, but it was still two that were really close, then Sarah. SO, I am going to try to let her at least have a month in the classroom before I take her out. So, if they have free dining until the 29th, then we will arrive then, but if not, I hope for early Aug, so that I won't have to take her out. I hope this makes sense.

I lived two hours south of Orlando for a year and we went one weekend a month. We never got sick of it! We would get out of work, thow a pizza and two liter in the back seat and take off! We stayed off property for like thirty bucks a night and it was AWESOME! You don't feel like you have to smush everything into a week, after all, you will be back!:)

Hi gang,
whats doing?? So i went food shopping today, all by myself i like to add. So i arrive home and dw is what is this and that, i bought tons of goddies/snacks. I explained, first off aunt flo is comming for a visit by friday, so i need to have choclate in the house for dw(yes, i know what aunt flo is;) ) Second i had to explain to dw what happened to me at the store. The wildest thing i walking down aisle 19( ice cream aisle) some guy i never seen before pulls out a gun and grabs me as a hostage. He puts the gun to my head and explains that if i don't buy ben and jerrys ice cream, which is on sale this week, well the mad gunman says he'll take me out, shoot me and end my life. So i explained to dw i had no choice but to buy the ben and jerrys ice cream(which i told her was on sale anyway) So i saverd my own life and bought 2 pints of ben and jerrys. It was a close call!! I don't think she believed me about the mad gunman.:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

How in the world can you hate grass? Wowza. The big deal here is landscaping with rocks. YUCK! Rocks of every size, shape and color. It's horrible. I moved here from Colorado and I was shocked to not see one yard with grass in the front. There were a few exceptions, but not many. Heck if weeds that bloom grown in my yard I leave them alone! I justify this because I tellmyself at least it is alive and blooming! ;) :rotfl:
I lived in Clearwater for a little over a year. I was brokeity broke broke so I never got to do to Disney. But I will be persistant in my plight. Eventually he has to give in right?
Walking PURPLE pron parade you mean. :rotfl2: That is too funny. Good thing about going someplace so big with so many people is that you will probably never see any of them again. That was a funny story though. I am sure at the time it wasn't so much.
Although.... I say Disney is so big blah blah. There was one trip I took over Spring Break to DL/Sea World, etc. I saw 2 people I knew in DL and one I ran into at Sea World. What are the chances? Even when I fly I usually run into someone I know. About 3 or 4 times in LAX and once in the Houston airport. I can never "run and hide".... :sad2:

Ok, the more you guys tell me about your experience the more I am convinced I have to live there!

whats doing??

PJ - Didn't you use this scenerio already? :rotfl: Maybe she didn't fall for it because she had heard it before. I think a brainstorming session is in order. We need new and creative stories for PJ to use as his excuse for Ben and Jerrys!
Too funny my friend!

I am feeling much better by the way. I felt so good in fact, I cleaned the house! Dusting and everything. Oh yeah! Back to my usual neurotic(sp?) self! I was lazy though and ordered pizza for dinner. Oh well, we can't all be super mom's right?
