I hope that you get a clear view! What is the string and the ring?

You put your wedding band on a piece of string--either olace in front of your belly or on the inside of your wrist. If it goes sise to side it is a boy. If it makes a circle it is supposed to be a girl.

Good morning Peeps! :sunny:
I just LOVE seeing everyone in their wedding photos! You all look wonderful! What a great idea to post the pictures! :grouphug: It's so interesting to see the different styles from each decade! LOL! I'm the 80's! Someday we want to do a vow renewal - hopefully in WDW! - and I want to be skinny so I can wear a sexy dress this time! I was only a few sizes smaller than I am now in these pictures...

I love the pics of your DH with all that hair!!! lol

Ugh..weigh in tomorrow. I only had two cupcakes at the b-day party tonight. Plus the two last night. Here is my food for the day. It is actually helping to post what I eat.

B-1c. Grape Nuts cereal, 1/2c skim milk, 2 tbsp. honey, 1 cup light OJ
L-garden salad with 1000 island dressing, 1c. chicken noodle soup, 2 small pieces of garlic bread, diet coke
D-1 1/2 pieces of roast, pasta noodles, peas, 1 roll and 1c. skim milk
S-TWO choc. cupcakes!! :scared1:

Guess what my boys just discovered???? 7 kittens in our back yard!!!!!:scared1: :scared1: So now I guess we get to take them to the shelter. If it was 1 or 2 it wouldn't be so bad, but 7!!!!!!! I'm hoping there's still a mom around because they're too young to be on they're own. They are so cute I had to hold and cuddle one, but I'm allergic and so now I'm itching like crazy. Anyone want a cat?????????

I read on another message board that a CM is reported to have said that there will be a Sept. free dining bounce back program offered THIS September! Has anyone else heard that?

I heard that on a TGM board too, not sure who posted it first but I would love it if that were true. of course, that means I ahve to ahve an extra $200 for the deposit when we go in Sept though!

OK anyone else here see Marsha Brady??? Now is it me or is she really 150 lbs??? If she really is then I am in bigger trouble than I thunk!
Ok, I have to say that is what HER 150 looks like. Everyone carries their weight in different places, she seems to be all belly and booty from what I saw. But on somebody else, a toned 150 may look totally different, know what I mean?

So far a decent day food wise. i am still under my calories and need something sweet...so I may have to indulge. Just making it a smart choice if I can. Weigh in tomorrow morning. I am curious to see if all my calorie counting has helped this week at all.

Anyone know if sore muscles weigh more than regular ones? I am SO SORE from yesterdays pilates class. It is embarassing actually.

Fidge I did get a beautiful Easter card and a movin cd!! How are you liken the WDW music???

Before I get too wrapped up in thurs tv to post, here are my totals for the day:

Breakfast-frozen good for you type waffle, lite syrup
Lunch-wendys mandarin chicken salad
Dinner-'food in a bag' as we call it, this one was a hamburger helper variety, with lots of steamed broccoli.
snacks/dessert-ff sf chocolate pudding with a few m&m's on it (all counted!) and a 100 calorie hersheys snackster thingy earlier this afternoon.

(can you tell I cant get through a day without my chocolate fix???)
Todays total:1650, under my max by a few calories, so still OK. Only exercise today was my dance class this morning, which I took it very easy because of my sore legs.

Have a good night peeps!

Exercise: elliptical, TM, kickboxing, yoga, weight training, riding bike

I don't know if I am doing this without hurting her self esteem so I don't know the answer(did that even make sense??)In the last year when she was teased we had told her that her weight was fine and that God makes people in different sizes.Well after her appt. with the DR. she later asked if he said her weight was still good.I had a talk with her and told her that the Dr. said we needed to be careful with her nutrition and we talked about what an unhealthy weight can do to your heart etc.She didn't seem upset at all and has been doing great with her choices this week.I would imagine that it is easier with an eight year old than an eleven year old though. She did ask this morning if she can weigh on Friday and be a PEEP.I told her she would only weigh at the Dr. office that this is NOT about what she weighs but about being healthy.

I understand about being the food police.Frankly it sucks!Between Dd8 and DS9(trying to limit sugar, red dye,and caffeine) I am always the bad guy.Mostly I don't have junk in the house and do my best when we are gone.

Dis you are doing a great job

Can no longer DIS at school... so, I'm a bit behind.

Jay is my fantasy boyfriend.mine too !:cool2: .. reality is something totally different. He's my friend and that's probably all it will ever amount to (except in my dreams :cloud9: ). I also think Jay got my hint about "not yet" (as in, I'm waiting for someone special) 'cuz he hasn't joked about it in a couple of days.

Thank you!

I know I gotta get some pix! My description does not do him justice!

I know... I never want to let a man (or anyone) "define" me again... change me from who I am to who they want me to be. Good for you chickie

Picture... I know, I need to work on it some more... "Now, Jay?" "How about now?" "Picture time yet?" Darn, wish someone would have a party... people tend to take pictures at parties, not when you're "hanging out".

How about start a scrapbook of sorts for you to keep to chart your progress thru this journey and include the faces (and bodies:rolleyes1 ) of those who are on this journey with you

Sorry, no current pic...
Name: Dene' Carter (Dene' is Renee, with a "D")
Age: 43... going on 20
Birthday: 3/2/64
Location: Granbury, TX (30 miles SW of Fort Worth)
Occupation: Science Teacher (currently 9th grade biology)
Personal: Widow for 15 years, DD19 is in college, starting to actually have a personal life now
Total weight to lose from starting point: uhhh, dunno 'cuz I haven' picked a goal weight yet... probably between 170-200 lbs total to lose (putting me between 130-160)
Progress so far: 77 lbs
Method: lots of exercise, lots of healthy food, lots of water, lots of support (both imaginary and new friends)
Exercise: everyday! yoga, step/cardio, elliptical, treadmill, free weights, machine weights, exercise ball, walking in the park, etc.
Best tip: Hard work breeds success... success breeds desire... desire breeds more hard work... an UPward spiral... (and... find a hunky trainer dude)

Yesterday, I FINALLY got Jay to go to Yoga with me (Christy was there, too). Somebody "passed gas" during class and Jay keeps laughing and talking about it! He's convinced it was Christy... I thought it was the instructor. They were both in the right area for where the "sound" came from.

We were at the gym doing an ab exercise called the Dead Bug and my friend pooted and said oops must be a stink bug....i couldn't quit laughing :lmao: I can no longer read DIS at school (it is now blocked)... and tomorrow I'll be packing and doing a double workout at the gym. (Packing to go to San Antonio with Christy... leaving right after school Friday. Double workout to make up for not being "allowed" to do nuttin' tonight... had sclerotherapy... 6 shots in my left leg, 25 in my right) ANYWAY, please count my 5 lbs in this Friday's total.

Taht suks!!
Love, ya'll... I'll try to get some pix (of my anyway) on my trip!

i think she's heavier than 150. she's my height (5'3") and i weighed 158 when i started my diet and i honestly think she's bigger than i was. and i'm not just saying that to make myself look good - you guys are my peeps and you are some of the only people on the face of the earth that know how much i weigh and what size i wear! anyway, i don't want to be mean, but she looks bigger than 150.

here's a pic of me right before i started my diet and i weighed around 158 here. you be the judge! i'm the one on the far right. not a very good pic of me, but it shows my body.

I am a diet food taste tester.

First is the Diet COKE Plus (yes, I did.) ((shhhhhh!!!!))

It's enhanced with vitamins and minerals and is in a pretty bottle.

It's ok (for Coke) and has a vitaminy or weird after-taste. Hmmm. But it IS pretty. It's better on ice.

AnnNan - I'm curious to know where your pic was taken. What a beautiful background!

I was fortunate enough to get to go to Rome and Monaco and the French Riviera in March. That picture is along the coast highway near Monaco. I have two pics of me (out of like 900) from the trip (and this is the only one I like). The twenty pounds I've lost is far from being enough, BUT it has made a difference in my face and I'm liking pictures better.

I've enjoyed getting to see everyone else's pictures so I knew I had to share too, but I had to figure out how to do it! Always something new to learn....

Dene', have fun on your trip!

Good taste! Rock on, sweetie baby.

I am so beat we had Open House in kindergarten tonight. One mom made a snarky comment, but guess what? It's April 26, and it's the first time I've seen this woman. Can you imagine not meeting your child's kinder teacher until April 26? So :snooty: hmph to her.

Harley- I dreamed I bought a Harley last night. You must be having an effect on me.

I'm afraid to weigh in tomorrow. I've been super diligent in counting calories this week. Around 1550 everyday, three of those days I burned between 300-500 calories with working out, but i got on the scales this morning and was up 2 lbs. Help me here. 140 lbs x 12 calories =1680 right? So within 150 calories should mean a little weight loss, right? WTH?

Love that the questionnaires and pics keep coming in. You ladies (and one South Park guy) are fabulous.

I actually thought I lost a pd. until I went to update my ticker and saw that last week's weight was the same as today. *#$@*@#!!!!!!! I wonder how much 10in. of hair weighs?? Not much I bet...it sure woud be nice if it made a difference when I chop it tomorrow~~

Have a great Friday..the weeks are flying by!!! :flower3: to everyone on weigh-in day!!!

I lost my minimum 1 pound!!!

oK. I've lost 8 of the 15 regained. Remember the fated yet FUN regain of 15 pounds from Disneyland where I went hog wild (pun intended)? It's more than halfway re-lost! Yippee! I'm just worried to death about going again in less than 2 wks. I specifically remember giving myself permission to eat what I wanted. Oh YA! As Dr. Phil would say, "How'd that work for ya?"

THIS time I do NOT grant permission at ALL to eat what I want.

No corn dogs (the best meal there! next to Blue Bayou). No Tigger Tails, no funnel cakes, no caramel apples, NO DOLE WHIPS. NOTHING like that! :sad1:

I yam on a quest to not gain weight at Disneyland!!!!

For all you number people out there--I was sent this in a e-mail yesterday and I thought it was neat.

I would just like to inform everyone that at three minutes, four

will

I wish I had time to sit and think about these things because I really like numbers, but I would have never thought of this one.

I have not had time to read all post since yesterday afternoon--maybe I will get to catch up later.

Hope that everyone has a BLESSED DAY!!!!

What does this mean??? :confused3

Sorry for not being here for you! DD was very high persickety last night. Anyways, last year in Nov or Dec they gave people a discount for booking a fall 07 trip- they had to book for late Aug or most of Sept. They had to book it while at DW, and had to pay the deposit before they checked out. They didnt call it free diding, but the discount is exaclty what free dining saves you and they had to include dining to their res. I believe. There is 'talk' that they may offer thisi offer to us lucky peopel there during FD this year instead of when they offered it last year, and possibly not offer it to the general public next year. (although that was speculated for this year and we all know how that turned out)

So, on to more exciting news, for me anyways....I lost 2 pounds!!!! I am very close to some new bling!! I seriously cant say enough how this thread has motivated me. I would have quit long ago if it wasnt for you guys :goodvibes

After losing 5.5 pounds last week, I gained 1 pound this week. Doesn't surprise me, though. Because of moving out of our house, I ended up having pizza for supper Monday night and breakfast the following morning; and I had McDonalds twice. So I guess I am ok with only gaining one pound. But now that our lives are getting back to being somewhat normal (outside of living in separate houses), hopefully next week will be a better week.

Good luck everyone!

LOST 4 POUNDS THIS WEEK!

What a cool trip! Next time you travel, you'll be skinnier, so we'll expect lots more pics for you to choose from for posting!!!

Would it be for the exact same dates?? I need to stop getting my oldest out of school....

and WHY do we have to stop taking our oldest out of school - they arent in high school yet are they? (I mean it is a break for dd,, she is always ahead of the class, so not challenged that taking her out gives the teachers a break from her and it gives her a break from them!!)

Sandy, You are beautiful!:)
Belle, I have to tell you right now I have my Peep thread "saved to fav" which when I go to that "fav" this sits at the top and I read this... and think "what a nice thought" Positive it helps take away some of my negative talk - thank you! :goodvibes (and I'm sure that doesnt make sense, expet for the thank you!)

How else do y'all save to favorites? Do you just go to the main wish page?

Sweet dreams peeps! Time for bed for me!:wave2:

Drink lots of water, because I'm pretty sure sore muscles retain water.

aHA so is that my problem, I have sore muscles and have not drank all my water the last 3 days... I dont drink enough water when I substitute teach!

Uma adding + + + thoughts + + + and prayers... What helped dh is I packed 2 frozen ice paks, so as soon as he got in the car, I packed his face in ice - and then of course finding tempting soups and soft foods -

when fdil had her teeth pulled, ds was able to convince her to come stay with me for 2 days - I gave her tomato soup made with half and half cream, she thought it was fantastic, but I knew I had to get protein in her!! Puddings made with milk...

so hard on them, ew the blood! You're younger ones are gonna luv that!!

I am at -4 lbs. from last Friday AM. Up 1 from Tuesday, but hey, I shouldn't weigh every day anyhow, right?

I am down a total of 21 from when I started this on Feb 6. Only have 37 more to go, sigh. So I am 218/197/160. Might shoot for 150 but it will depend on how I look/feel at 160.

Rome is gorgeous. I lived in Barcelona for a year in college, and it was the best year of my life. The "skinny" pic from before is from a town just south of there. I took a train along the same route you are discussing, through Monaco to Rome.

Wisdom teeth removal, yuck. Let him know I am thinking of him. I had mine out when I was 18, as well... except I had 8!

Hope everyone has a skinny day!! I am going to try and hit the gym today and avoid the Friday going-out-lunch that everyone does.

Hey punkin, I will be in WDW May 11-16... will you still be there?

Hello to all --

Well after lurking for several months over on the DIS Disney Cruise boards and dreaming of a relaxing cruise with the mouse himself, I somehow found my way this morning over to the WISH board and this thread.

Talk about serendipity! :wizard:

About two weeks ago, I embarked on a crusade to get healthy. That means I need to exercise, eat better, and LOSE serious amounts of poundage. I’ve tried the whole weight loss thing before, but never really stuck to it for any amount of time. So I decided that I would raise my accountability level and tell some of the people in my life about my decision. However, after two weeks of trying (and mostly succeeding) to integrate healthier habits into my life and telling people what and how I was doing, I think that I have bent my friends and families ears as far as they will go. Sooooo, I hope that you won’t mind if I crash this thread for a little inspiration!

Anywho, a bit about me: I’m 27, have a desk job, and up until two weeks ago I was a certified couch potato (actually I think that I’d progressed from couch potato to one of those potatoes that you find rotting at the bottom of the drawer with the eyes growing out of it). But that’s all about to change… (Big Breath)… I hope. Scratch that, I know it will change.

I’ve been the “heavy friend” my whole life, but my weight absolutely ballooned about 6 or 7 years ago and has been creeping up and out of control ever since. So the real question is: why now? Well it’s been coming for a long, long time and there have been lots of little catalysts along the way (innocent and not so innocent comments, worry about fitting in plane seats, disgust at the fact that I plan my life and what I do around how much walking will be involved). However the real thing that started all of this was -- over Easter weekend I agreed to chaperon my younger sister and her friend for a girl’s weekend in NYC sometime in June. That was all well and good; I was excited about the shows and sightseeing. Then I realized – these girls are 17 yo and dance for an hour and a half each day. I will never keep up with them. Thus, I decided to dust off the treadmill and start walking and to make an effort to refine my diet.

I officially started two weeks ago yesterday and I am up to walking three miles on the TM and have lost 10 lbs!!!!! :cool1:

Now you may say – “5 lbs a week is bordering on too much weight loss” (??too much??), cuz we all know that slow and steady wins this race for the long term. BUT, I really haven’t done anything too extreme (although I guess that it is extreme for my body). I’ve been exercising for 30 – 60 minutes every evening at a moderate to brisk pace (for my little legs). I also am making sure to eat breakfast, proteins, whole grains, salads, and fruits/veggies. Take out is a rare treat and delivery is an absolute no-no. I’m still eating the stuff that I love (pizza, pizza, pizza), but limiting it to reasonable portions once or twice a week. My biggest change and challenge is that I gave up my sugary sodas. I’m a bit ashamed to admit this, but I realized yesterday (after weighing myself and being shocked at the big weight loss) that I had been consuming 700-1000 calories a day in soda and juice. AAACCCKKK! I don’t know how I never realized. I’ve substituted diet soda during the day (gotta love diet Pepsi) and water after 7 pm. I hope to be down to one or two diet sodas a day in a few months, but for now just drinking diet is a huge leap!

Wow, didn’t mean to have such a long first post! Sorry about that.

Smiles,
MJMouse

Attention WENDY! - I will most likely be giving you my weigh in info later today or tomorrow. According to my scale this morning, I gained something like 12 lbs since last Friday morning! :scared1: I worked my butt off this week, and my scale seems to be doing a lot of jumping around lately, so I am questioning its accuracy. I DO have sore muscles and more importantly (TMI alert!!!), I have a pain in my side which I believe to be because things are not moving through my system like they should. I am going to try to correct my tummy issues today, and I'll be taking the day off from working out. I will re-weigh later tonight and/or in the morning, and I'll let you know what I find out. I am trying not to be frustrated at the moment. I had that huge loss a couple of weeks ago after staying almost the same for 3 weeks, and then I lost again last week so I thought things were just moving along again. :confused3 I received my Old Navy online order last night, and it is definite that I am down a size there. The new pants, shorts, and capris all fit great! :thumbsup2 Well, I do most definitely remember why I didn't own a scale before! This up and down that doesn't make any sense makes me CRAZY!

It was the week before last - the day I met you! :) It was a 12.? loss, so I was nervous last week about what it would say, but it said I lost another 3, I think. And prior to the 12 lb loss, I had lost 1 lb. 2 weeks in a row and then stayed the same the week before the big loss. Anyway, I am doing what I know to do to help my tummy today, and I am scheduling an appointment with the doctor anyway because I need a new Prilosec prescription, or we need to explore what is causing the heartburn problem. And I will be talking to him about the weight loss as well. My grandma always had issues with her digestive system, and they never really knew exactly what the problem was. I am afraid I may have inherited this from her. But I will keep you posted! :)

Well that I understand - I have a hyiatel hernia (I may be spelling that wrong!) I was diagnosed a few years ago - a muscle in the throat that acts up... so sometimes it causes me to "choke" on my food... esp when I get hiccoughs...

and that is heridtary - my mom's dad, and one of his sisters had this - they were both extremely skinny tho - I thought perhaps if I stop eating every time I choke, or throw up (from choking) I too would be skinny, (my dad's mom and a few of my cousins are heavy) but I think I just like and enjoy eating and drinking too much!!

so anyway. I had to have an upper GI series, and that's when I was diagnosed... and the treatment was zantac (before it went over the counter) :confused3

so take care of yourself!

Lynda your ticker is at TWEntY DAYS!! woohooty!! Are all your plans set???!!!

I LOVE WHOLE FOODS!!

I buy the ground oat flour - the 6week Body Makeover Program says that oat flour ( or specifically whole oats that you use your food processor to grind into 'flour') is a "good" carb!

So, today I decided I have to do better (gotta get that 20# challenge!) Well, I made my oat "pancakes" (only egg whites, oat flour, apple butter) instead of buying and eating the SlimFast bars for a protein snack.... and this weekend I'm grilling a weeks (or two) worth of grilled chicken and freezing it - along with the wild rice mix (another "good carb")

"What do you want? What are you doing? Do they match?"
This saying is up all over dd school - its a reminder to me that if I want to lose 20# by Sept, I need to look at my food journal more closely!!

Oh Aries, that reminds me of my favorite salad - (the store went out of business, but they gave me the list of ingrediants!)

Wild Rice
Mandarin Oranges
Dried blueberries
grilled chicken, cut up in small tiny chunks/squares
shallots
rice wine vinegar
sugar

I'm not sure if there is anything else, its what I remember - all I know is the wild rice has this amazing nutty texture (and a good carb! meaning it doesnt stay inside your system long enough to convert into that bad sugar! I think!!) and it has the fruit (the oranges and blueberries provide sweetness so I have been omitting sugar, sometimes I may sprinkle a tsp over the bowl) Dried blueberries are hard to find, and those and the wild rice are expensive -

which is how I know its VERY VERY Healthy!!

I made my pancakes - I hope dh doesnt come home from lunch and attack me - :rotfl: I smell like maple syrup!! :rotfl: (anyone remember that study of men and scents that drive them wild?? It was the vanilla, pumpkin and other food smells!) Oh and I just put maple flavoring into my pancakes, so I when I freeze them, or eat them, its just the perfect snack food - yummm! But the lid wouldnt fit on and I kept trying to get it to fit on straight - and now that's all I can smell from my hands!! :rotfl:

AMY!! I LOVE your dress!! the pictures are wonderful!! Just gorgeous!!

WOW!! WOW!!!

I guess it is funny how all the wedding dresses the last, what decade? Were the no sleeves (what are they calling that? Ball Gown?) and so puffy - I dont think it flatters every style, but I do love it!!! I was glad when fdil (who has a skinny petite body style and would look good in everything!) decided she hated that style!

and look how many of us had similiar gowns?!! amazing - we have good taste!

I am dying today... want to eat everything in sight. Skipped the gym, too much work to be done... I DID eat breakfast this AM and now I am ravenous.

Food today has been 150-cal reduced fat toaster scramble, 300-cal red baron thin&crispy pizza, a salad (35), and a 60-cal SF pudding. Total 545, which is more than I usually eat by this time.

HELP!!

Kat...That doesn't sound like enough food to me. How many calories a day are you eating? Try drinking some water, sometimes you are really thirsty, not hungry. Where's your fruits & veggies? What about more protein, you don't seem to have much listed and that's what helps fill me up. Just some ideas.

Hunger is usually thirst for me, so the first thing I usually try is massive amounts of water. If I'm actually hungry then some protein is in order. But if I just have the munchies a piece of sf gum usually helps until the urge to chew and crunch passes. Darn oral fixation....:rolleyes1

Good luck and stay strong!

Hi, Peeps!:flower3:

Christine-that salad sounds soooo good! I wish we had a whole foods here. Boise doesn't have much selection when it comes to groceries. BTW--your daughter is ADORABLE!

eeyore45-I really like that--"What do you want? What are you doing? Do they match?" I wrote it down and taped it my monitor so I can look at it when I am dising and wanting to blow it with some snacks.:rolleyes1
AND...I really like those tee shirts. I need to learn how to make em. Thanks for the link.

Amy-You were such a pretty bride! Thank you for sharing the pics!

Kat-I would just try to keep full by drinking water. How soon until you eat dinner?
I am not really a breakfast eater...so I try to keep it a small as possible like string cheese and a breakfast bar OR a SB breakfast wrap. I also eat 6 small meals a day and space them every three hours so I am never full.

It is another BEAUTIFUL day here! I love it! I hope you all are having a great Friday!

I am eating 1200 calories since I didn't work out today. Probably too little but it has been working pretty well for me.

It might be thirst since I didn't have as much water as usual today. I will go fill up my water bottle. Already have the SF gum in my mouth. :)

I think I mostly am just craving bad food. That wee pizza was so good I wanted more. I had a big salad with lunch and I have a half cucumber here I could eat, but I just don't want it. Maybe it is the protein... I usually have meat with lunch but today was all veggie.

Also, work is super-boring this afternoon and I want out... I think that has something to do with it.

Dinner is going to be golden corral (large salad and small steak), so I don't want to go too overboard.

Thanks for being here!!

Timing, your body is getting used to having fuel (for me every 2- 3 hours) so I try and have some healthy snacks available (I've used the 0 point weight watcher snacks or fruits and veggies, or a V8!) USUALLY we know its protein that we want...

and like Uma knows that hoodia can be really helpful too!!

I don't know how to spell it either, but that's what the doctor thinks I have too - the hiatal hernia. I made an appointment at lunch. It's for May 31st! They did say they'd call the office and try to get me worked in earlier, but I have to wait to hear back from them. I didn't want to see one of the Nurse Practitioners because I had talked to the doctor about the problem before.

Lynda...I am sorry to hear your tummy has been hurting you.:grouphug: I get like that every once and awhile. I add some Benefiber to my food and it seems to help.

I might just try that! Thanks. :)

eeyore45
04-27-2007, 03:25 PM
Lynda I wonder if there is a difference between zantac and prilosec? The zantac I was prescribed was twice the dose (150mg) of what is sold otc (75 mg) and the doctor told me then (over ten years ago tho!) that it wasnt so bad that I needed surgery that I had to take the zantac twice a day, and then eat a bland diet... no alcohol... and some foods may "trigger" (raw carrots and hot dogs for me!) and to keep a food journal!

After about a year on the zantac they released it otc and it was no longer covered on insurance, so I quit taking it daily, and manage ok by limiting my diet, but I will say if I've eaten Italian, or garlic, or spicey Mexican food, I'll take a zantac before bed - and it does help...

Once I had control over the food, I now eat whatever I want and hardly notice it until I get the hiccups and the food wont go down my throat (it comes up with each hiccup) and sometimes its bad enough that I have to throw up, over and over (and still the food wont dislodge) I have had to heimliech myself once - but now dh and ds recognize my signs (usually I get real quiet and pray I dont get hiccups) if I get up and leave, it makes them nervous - because it takes so long to get that food dislodged -

anyway.............................

you'll be able to work with it - and I still say that 12# gain on the scale is a sprite foolin with your scale!! :hippie:

Thanks! :)

And my goals this next week would be to restock my kitchen. I have run out of a few things. And there are still a couple of items I have seen mentioned here that I have yet to find at the store.

I also want to pre-prepare some things to take for my lunches. I am tired of waiting in the Mickey D's drive through! (Even though I can eat healthy there - sitting in my van waiting in line is such a waste of my lunch time!)

I am getting my hair cut Saturday, and I am also planning to take the day and do some things for me - watch some chick flicks, do some writing, paint my toe nails, do a facial mask. I need a "me day"! Then, maybe DH and I can have a date night! :)

I will continue to do my exercise, and I will try to post my totals EVERY day! (I did do better this week though!)

I can't think of anything else at the moment, but I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff.

I must be certifiably insane. First, I had to teach this morning, and the kids were all fired up and not listening. Then, I had my 'new daycare kids' here until about 6:30 tonight (they came here at noon) and now I have a different little boy here for a sleepover. (he comes here a few times a month, goes to bed fairly early, she will come as soon as he wakes up tomorrow and she pays me $100...couldnt turn down the extra disney money.) Anways, all the kids have been wound up all day long, must be the spring air. I am losing it. Oh, and my lovely AF came about a week early. Go figure that one. At least it explains the chocolate fix I have been dealing with all week.

Somebody talk me down off the ledge please :scared: I am pretty much maxed out on calories and I am craving JUNK tonight. It has been a LONG day and will probably be a long night too.....tell me not to eat please. I am chugging water but it isnt what I really want. :sad2:

Posting my totals while Dh has DD in the bath...my 'extra kid' for the night is already asleep, thank goodness.

Breakfast-Luna bar
Lunch-chicken quesadilla-leftover chicken on a flat out wrap with some cheddar cheese
Dinner-homemade burger (low fat meat) with over fries and green beans
Snack-almonds
dessert-fudgcicle...the lesser of evils as far as my dessert choices tonight.

Total- 1756, over by 46 calories, so I am gonna chalk that up to calories I burned chasing kids all day and say I broke even :goodvibes

I am exhausted, so I am off to bed early I think....I hope.

That is so cool that you go to go there! I want to see more pictures! popcorn::
I'm kind of trying to make that work...
[B]Nancy...My DD17 is going to Europe in June. Tour begins with 2 days in Paris, then Madrid, Barcelona, Avignon, Riviera, Florence, Nice, Rome. Oh....I was 26 and DH was 27 when we married. I wish I still looked that young!
You really look young for 26 - I was thinking you were right out of high school!
Your DD's trip sounds fabulous. I love getting to go - well anywhere! - but those are some incredible places. I went to Italy ten years ago and London and Paris eight years ago. I was amazed at how little I remember clearly. Encourage DD to take pictures (and maybe even more write down as much as she can.) It will really help to remember it all later. I was much more conscientious (sp? - don't feel like looking it up!) on this trip about knowing where I was and what I was seeing and still am already looking back at a few pictures wondering "which cathedral?" or "which monument?" Mine has to be edited for viewing by anyone besides me, but I'm so glad I wrote as much as I did this time.

DSalmost18 is getting his other 2 wizzum teeth pulled today (full boney impaction). Poor Baby!!!!

He's so skeered! Last time (at the beginning of April) he didn't know what to expect. Yikes!

I feel so badly for him!

Keep my man/boy in your prayers today, pretty please!

HAPPY SATURDAY, PEEPS!!! :sunny:

Love reading the menus!!! Keep up the good work!!! :thumbsup2

Not much posting going on last night. I watched Night at the Museum with DS as oldest DD was at work and DD13 was picked up in a fancy limo for a slumber party?! (I'm sorry...we can't compete with that.)
You really look young for 26 - I was thinking you were right out of high school! That's so funny! We actually had a lot of people (even at the time) tell us we looked much younger than we were. Add a baby and you're not looking all that young anymore.
Your DD's trip sounds fabulous. Thanks! DSIL invited her to go and is paying for the trip! It is a tour with a high school group although not DD's high school. DSIL is a teacher but 2 other DSIL's are going on the trip also so lots of chaperones.

DD is a very good photographer and has a DSLR. Her greatest fear is having her camera stolen on the trip. :scared: She is also a journaler since the 4th or 5th grade so I'll make sure she has a new journal just for the trip.

Nancy....your pictures are awesome! I think DD is going to all those places except maybe Monaco. I know they are going to the Riviera and I heard Caanes mentioned but haven't looked at the itinerary recently.

Can you recommend any good guide books? It's so much more meaningful if you actually know something about the places/churches/monuments before yuo see them. Don't you agree??? Thanks! (Probably should've pm'd all that!)
I ab gebbing a colb. I'b sooo stubbed ubb!!
Hope you feel better tomorrow! COLD-EEZ!!! It will get rid of the cold. HONEST!
HI Sandy - DS is just fine he is upstairs palying with a firend right now got report cards all Bs what the heck happened??? Well its better than Cs right?? He went down in 3 subjects.Fidge! I got a call from the counselor at DD13's school a few weeks ago to tell me she had an F in algebra!!! I KNOW!!! She had to go to Saturday school! The grading period was fairly new and she hadn't turned in a couple of assignments so she turned them in and presto....she had an 86 average. She cried and begged me to call the teacher and get her out of Saturday school. No way, Jose! I told her the situation was of her own making and by golly she was gonna go to Saturday school. And guess what? She had FUN at Saturday school! Uuuugggggg! :sad2: I'm keeping a close eye on her grades now...online. Heh. :cool2:

Happy Saturday everyone. Hoping we all have a great weekend. :goodvibes I am off to help my mom with her garage sale today. Ugh. Hope I dont have to stay all day, I mean it was HER idea to have this thing. ;) But to be fair, her garage is in the back of the house, in alley of sorts, they all are that way here. And she wants to put stuff on the front lawn where people will see it and be enticed to go around back...so she cant be in 2 places at once and needs some help.

Right there with ya. The hot tub is here and set up, and DH is calling ;). I'll catch up later.

Starting tonight DH and I are going to start walking -- If we go all throughout our neighborhood twice it is almost 3 miles. It is kind of hilly in places so that is good to. The past 2 weeks at school I have not made great choices. Three of us each week are providing lunch on Friday's until school is out and boy had it been good. Then we have had families over for dinner and they have brought the dessert and tey are always good. So I really need to watch what I eat more closely and really start walking.

Hope all is well for everyone. Landing about in 1 hr from now next week in Disney. I have so much to do between now and then.

DH doesn't fly...yet. We plan to fly for the January Peep meet, and if that goes well, it may open up a lot of possibilities for us! Like DL and Europe! (He told me the other day he read Wendy's DL trip report! ;)) Now, if only it didn't cost $$$.

Winkers-Those kitten pictures are so cute!! I found one of my cats when she was 3 weeks old in a woodpile. It was a "friend" of mine's house and they didn't take great care of their animals. So I took her, even though the mother was around. She was thin and I don't think she would have survived. Now she is 6 and pretty darn cute. A runt though so only about 5 pds. I hope you find great homes....I'm glad you are keeping two!!! :flower3:

So the 10 inches of hair is cut!! It looked like a dead animal laying on the table. I have to mail it to Locks of Love Monday. DH is not home yet so he hasn't seen the hair yet. The highlights didn't come out exactly like I wanted but since my hair is so short it won't take long to get them re-done!!

My kids are having so much fun with the kittens they found. They just can't seem to understand why 7 is way to many. We told them we can keep 2 and then when we get home from disney we'll see about finding homes for the others. Here's a couple of pictures of Hunter & Ethan with some of them.

PS-Just called The Timeshare Store for more info on a resale OKW contract. We were contemplating going new thru Disney with SSR but this is a better deal by far. I think it's harder to get their financing though without a ton of $ down so I might end up going thru Disney anway. We'll see.

i told her the same thing when she posted some pics of one of them on her TR!!! i just love freckles!

i wish all you yard-sellers lived close to me! our community is having a huge yard/hot dog/hamburger/bake/lemonade sale next saturday and all the proceeds are going to a family here that has a little girl who was born in october with a serious heart condition. she's not doing really well and their insurance isn't covering everything at this point. so sad. :sad2: anyway, i've gotten my stuff to donate together and now i just have to go through it and price it. some of it includes my size 12 stuff......gone forever!!! :thumbsup2

That is really sad when a child is born sick.:sad1: It is nice that the community is banding together to help her and her family out.

Size 12 GONE forever!! Woohoooo! :dance3:  :dance3: That is awesome....I wish I was a 12...still rockin in my size 16's.

I know when were trying to decide--you had to put more money down, the interest was higher and it showed on your credit report. You also have to pay closing cost. With disney you put down a down payment, intrest is better, they pay closing, and it does not go to your credit report. We like that it has never showed up as a debt on our credit report ;) But sometimes if it is a better deal that outweighs all the other stuff. Good luck.:thumbsup2 We have 200 points at BC and are now needing to add about another 75 to 100 points and are trying to figure out what to do.

That's a good point..I never thought of resale showing up as a debt vs. Disney. I also liked that SSR is an extra 12 years. I just asked her to send us the paperwork so DH and I have until Monday to figure out the best option for us. Those extra 12 years are nice when you are youngins like us!!! ;) Thanks for the reminder about the loan/credit report stuff.

What a wonderful thing for you to do! Add me to the list of Peeps who want to see your new hair!!!

Everybody, just wanted to let you know that my little sis NSalz started Weight Watchers last Saturday and at this mornings weigh in she was down 9.6 lbs!:woohoo: :woohoo: Go NSalz!

Hi everyone,

I know I haven't really posted at all since my return from vacation, but I have a very pressing question for all of you.

About Crocs. :lmao:

No, seriously. I'm thinking of finally breaking down and getting a pair. Mainly for my WDW trips coming up. My flip flops are comfy but my feet are way tired at the end of the day. And sneakers are even more comfy but so hot and restricting for someone who lives in sandals. Crocs seem like a nice alternative.

Here's the problem. I'm a very matchy matchy person. Is it ok if your crocs don't match perfectly with your outfit? I guess I could get a simple brown or black pair, but the colors look so darn pretty.

Ok, thats it. I'm in serious planning mode and gearing up for the beginning of the summer semester this week. I'm sort of fallen off the wagon and not really cared about it. It's hard getting back on track after vacation. But I did grocery shopping and am ready with all my old staples to get back on the wagon and lose some weight before my trips.

Hope everyone has been well!

Shannon - I'm QUEEN of Crocs!!

Its way ok - I just got the fuschia bright pink crocs, and I get so many compliments from the jr hi girls!! I also have a MM red pair - as well as 2 flip flop crocs...

One pair is a boring blue with a grey bed - the other is my fav - WATERMELON!! Pink and Lime Green - I wore them everywhere - but I did get a blister towards the end of the ten days - I have pronating ankles (turn in) so there's not much of anything I can wear!

Let me see if I can find a coupon for crocs.com - they just came out with new styles!! Beware of the maryjanes I've heard tell from a Peep as well as another that they arent as cushiony... but they look prettier!!

here it is free shipping crocs. com enter promo code spring07 at checkout

I have the athens - I want the Cleos!! and the disney pink, oh and look at................ its an addiction! I have a plantar fuscia (??? Bone spur) and with crocs I dont need a cane!

I lost the disk for mine and my dad was able to find a way to download it online. Try the manufact. website. Mine was a really off brand too and we still found a way to downlaod it. FREE, and immediate...not that I am dying to see your hair or anything! (I think he searched 'drivers' or something like that, because that is what you install to the system to get things to download from the camera.)

This is Sophie, she's a miniature spoiled doxie!
OMG, that is an adorable little doggie too!! So cute!

Ok, no it isnt a big deal if they dont match, at last I dont think so. I have a blue pair and a red/back disney pair I love. They also make flip flop crocs, I have a black pair of those. I think they are just as comfy too.

Try www.shoebuy.com- they have good prices, free shipping and free return shipping if you dont like them. And try looking for discount codes, I know they pretty much always have one. (naughtycodes.com or currentcodes.com are my favorite sites for that.)

I am going to weigh today with clothes on, before I leave for my hair cut, and then I am going by my mom's house and using her scale to compare. (It's one of those with the slider, like the doctor's have...or had. My doctor has digital now.) I'll let you know what I find out after that. I am also tempted to just skip putting down a number this week and see what next week brings, but I want to know if I need to exchange my scale before the trip. I NEED that final number to be correct!

I want to see your hair cut too missy!! I am in need of inspiration and way overdue for a cut.

So, garage sale over for today. It was ok...her whole neighborhood was supposed to be participating but not many people did. We got alot of people who wanted everything for a dollar...which is ok for some things. But my mom has tons of nice stuff-she advertised it as a designer sample sale because she is an interior designer and has tons of stuff to unload from her business. Problem is that most garage salers (myself included) dont want to pay more for her sutff. They were expecting a deal...and her stuff was a deal if you knew what you were looking at. Make sense? That is whay I was dreading it I guess. I knew there would be the people who thought her prices were crazy, and some who thought it was a good price. Making it fun for me who has no clue what to accept as an offer :rotfl:

Ok..not that it's that interesting to anyone but we decided on SSR thru Disney. I was approved for the preferred financing and we have the option to take 2006 points. The only way we will do that is if there is a DVC resort with vacancy for our honeymoon in June. Since the dues are cheaper then what we will pay at Shades of Green, and we will also save $115 on towncars since we will have ME, it might be the way to go. I just want to make sure there is a resprt avail before we sign the papers for 06 points. I am waiting for guide to call me back. If we can't go DVC in June we will just get 2007 points and use on our xmas trip in Dec of 08!!!

I've seen the bad fashion choices...stiletto sandals and a mini skirt? Not smart disney fashion (and I think it looks a little trashy not at Disney lol). I think I'm gonna start "safe" with a neutral color and then move on to the fun ones. I saw some really cute pearlized looking ones at Key West in light pink and gold - loved them.

We technically should have waited too since DH is starting a new job in July but I guess we are banking on the disability he will get from the navy when he's out in June. He also will get a large chunk every month for two years since he is not going to use the GI Bill. Hi Peeps!:goodvibes I hope everyone had a nice Saturday. It was beautiful here. My mom and I went shopping and I got some hanging baskets and other flowers. We also had lunch at Chili's and I had the best salad: Grilled Caribbean. It was so good and only 9pts!:woohoo: Tomorrow I am going to make Taco Soup. It works out to be one point for one cup of soup! I can post the recipe if anyone is interested.

sorry to hear about your DS! i hope he feels better soon. ray (DH) had kidney stones a few years ago (before we got married) and he was in A LOT of pain. i walked in his apartment to find him laying in his living room with his legs spread open in a V. i asked him what he was doing and he said he couldn't close his legs cause it hurt too bad! does your DS drink cranberry juice at all? i've heard that's a good thing to drink when you have kidney problems.

We technically should have waited too since DH is starting a new job in July but I guess we are banking on the disability he will get from the navy when he's out in June. He also will get a large chunk every month for two years since he is not going to use the GI Bill. I just checked Disney's website and they do have avail. for the DVC resorts for the week we are going. I hope it works out!!! :cloud9:
WOO HOOOO!!!!! June is just around the corner. I wish my loan payoff was that close  so I could be :)

I sure would be interested in that recipe, Belle. I make the WW white chicken chili recipe and that is only one point also.

I have had a bad food day today - got into the rest of the cherry cordial kisses. Now they're ALL gone, so no more temptation. But my weight will probably be up next week. Grrrrrr . . .

Sandy - Sending prayers for your son also. I would have a hard time not going and bringing him home. Please keep us posted. It's tough being a mom at times like this. :grouphug:

You know...I still have my camera stuff in my old computer...I could take a pic and upload it. Perhaps tomorrow..I'm lazy!!! ;)

Welcome home!! :cheer2:

We bought resale through TSS, and fwiw the financing was better than WDW and the same money down. Credit hit was the same. However, the extra yrs didn't matter and we wanted BWV badly, so it all worked out for us.

I was terrible today and had pizza, wings, beer again. Did work 4 hrs in the yard (bushes and plants today) and will be planting trees all day tomorrow, so hopefully it will be offset.

Kittens are SUPER cute... I want that white-ish one, but NC is a bit far!

Sorry to hear about your DS eeyore, hope he is better soon.

I will check back in tomorrow night after planting 16 trees, sigh. Wish me luck!

Danielle, you're going to LOVE it!!!

http://stupidguesttricks.com/vb3/images/smilies/hottub.gif

We are loving it. We went in last night and twice today. Even ate dinner in our bathing suits so we could get back out there.

Winkers- Love the kitties. I didn't used to be a cat fan, but DD went through some terrible times and we got her a kitten as therapy. It's worked out great, and she is a super sweet kitty. One is plenty, though, thank you.

Oooh, you brought back memories. My cut hair sitting in a ziploc bag, looking like a dismembered squirrel's tail. Good for you for doing Locks of Love. Can't wait to see the new 'do!

Here's the haircut.

How are the student health services there? Is there any chance one of you could stay there or close by, so he could finish his classes? Can you talk to the school (or can he) and find out about making up exams later? I feel for him and you. Lots of prayers headed your way.

Tomorrow I am going to make Taco Soup. It works out to be one point for one cup of soup! I can post the recipe if anyone is interested.

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: Please post it!

Well, I worked it on the elliptical at the gym today while I finished reading Metro Girl by Janet Evanovich. It was no Stephanie Plum, but I still enjoyed it. I had some of the GS sugar-free little brownie cookies today. I don't think they are worth the calories. A serving of 4 cookies is 140, and a serving of 4 thin mints is 150. I'll stick with the thin mints next time.

Thanks, everyone, for the nice comments about my pictures, but I couldn't mess them up too badly - everything is just so beautiful! Melinda, your daughter's trip sounds a lot like the one I went on. We had only a few students - way more grownups. They take care of everything and it is a wonderful way to travel. I'm terrible about not reading and planning ahead so I really don't know what book to recommend. I've found it interesting since I've been home to look up the places we went on Wikipedia. (one reason I've been glad I was more careful this time in listing the names of the places we went, churches and monuments we saw, etc.) It's not quite the same as knowing the info while you're seeing it but they tell you so much I can't take it all in at once and this way I can take it in and appreciate it as I put it together at a slower pace - plus enjoy the trip longer!

:flower3:

What a great thing to do! I love to hear of people doing things like that. My niece did it a couple of years ago and I thought it was precious!
Winkers, cute kittens - and kids!!!
And Sophie - what a cutie!!

Here's the haircut. It's not great, but DH isn't home, so I had to take it myself. ..

sorry about your scale issues, but you and your new haircut look fabulous!

Spent today with a lot of extended family celebrating my grandmother's 90th birthday - casual but turned out really nice. Fun to see family we don't see often.

Left there and drove eight hours to my brother's in Texas to see the kids' choir musical and will drive home Monday. Quick trip but looking forward to seeing my sweeties in the morning. (They were asleep when we got in at 2 am) I'm up way too late but couldn't resist checking in.

Have a good Sunday!

ps Sandy - sorry about DS - hope he will feel better quickly!

Lunch-Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli w/salad 8 pointsHow is the ravioli??? I don't think I've seen that one before. Sounds good!
Me too!
Well, according to the re-weigh, my scale is accurate...today. Of course, I have no idea if it was accurate when it said I was 12 lbs. lighter a week ago!

Scalesrputz, too! Love the haircut! It does look like she thinned it out a bit at the bottom....very cool! Doesn't it feel weird smiling for the camera when there's no one else in the room?
Should we drive down there and bring him home? I have no idea what to do!Prayers for Nathan! Where is his doctor? Looks like they'd have better/more facilities to manage the situation if there's a med. center at the university. Can they get him in one of those stone-buster things on an emergency basis???? I think I'd go down there and then decide wether or not to bring him back. Praying that it's small and he passes it.
got into the rest of the cherry cordial kisses. Oh, no! They are SSOOOOO good. I can see how that could get outta control. A few kisses won't hurt the weight.

HAVE A WONDERFUL, BLESSED SUNDAY!

OH, newsflash for all you girl moms or young girls at heart!

They are opening a new BBB IN the castle on 9/10. (where the gift shop was, they moved that somewhere else)They started taking reservations today, so I called and made one for DD (and me too) for Sat the 22nd. We did just her last time but she wanted me to do it with her, this time I think I will...just for her enjoyment only ;) Anyways, they said there will be a place for pictures like DTD has, but theirs will be either IN the castle somewhere or on main street! How cool! I made mine for 8am, so we can be first ones in and out, and done before park opening to get our pics without lots of other people in the way. Dont worry though, no scary grown up princess costume for me. I just think it will be fun to have some pics of us together all done up.

Did you all hear we had an earthquake?:scared1: It was about 30/40 miles from me, we felt nothing! Luckily only 1 person was hurt but it caused loads of damage. It was about a 4.7 whatever that means not sure what's a big quake? We never ever have quakes so it's all a bit of a panic overhere at one point it was thought it was an explosion!

I am dropping that bomb! :rotfl: Nice wording, by the way! :lmao: It is helping, but it seems to be gradual. Today is cheat day, which usually helps too. Must be that eating something I normally wouldn't shocks my body or something. :confused3 I am going to be careful today though.

Thanks! :) When I went to take the picture, it was starting to curl up a bit, so I had to go straighten it before I took it. Today, I get to play with it myself. :) And we are going to church, so I am going to go do that very shortly! :thumbsup2 And yes, it did feel weird smiling! I almost made a face or did something non-smiling, like in Mimi's self-portraits, but I often look mad when I don't smile, so I didn't. I DID strategically pose so that the chins didn't show! :lmao:

Jo~ I always smile when you use the word "lovely"! It's a word that I don't hear alot. Only from the British and my Mom. I use it sometimes, but it sounds funny when I say it....maybe I'll use an English accent next time.

Dance and Jo~ your girls will love BBB. DD(11) and DD (13) went in April and it was wonderful. They loved it. BBB in the castle would be amazing!

Just got this e-mail and had to share with you. I've replaced some naughty words with smilies.

Most of you have read the scare-mail about the person whose kidneys were stolen while he was passed out. Well, read on. While the kidney story was an urban legend, this one is not. It's happening to women every day.

My thighs were stolen from me during the night a few years ago. It was just that quick. I went to sleep in my body and woke up with someone else's thighs. The new ones had the texture of cooked oatmeal. Who would have done such a cruel thing to legs that had been mine for years? Whose thighs were these and what happened to mine? Hurt and angry, I resigned myself to living out my life in jeans and Sheer Energy Control Top Panty Hose.

Then, just when my guard was down, the thieves struck again.

My :eeyore: was next. I knew it was the same gang because they took pains to match my new rear- end to the very thighs they stuck me with earlier. I couldn't believe that my new :eeyore: was attached at least three inches lower than my original. Now my rear complemented my legs, lump for lump. Frantic, I prayed that long skirts would stay in fashion.

It was two years ago when I realized my arms had been switched! One morning I was fixing my hair and I watched horrified but fascinated as the flesh of my upper arms swung to and fro with the motion of the hairbrush. This was really getting scary. My body was being replaced one section at a time. How clever and fiendish!

Age? Age has nothing to do with it. Age is supposed to creep up
unnoticed, something like maturity. NO, I was being attacked repeatedly and without warning. In despair, I gave up my T-shirts. What could they do to me next?

Then my poor neck suddenly disappeared faster than the Thanksgiving turkey it now resembled. That's why I decided to tell my story. I can't take on the medical profession all by myself.

This is not a hoax. This is happening to women in every town every
night. WARN YOUR FRIENDS!

P.S. I must say that last year I thought someone had stolen my :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc . I was lying in bed and they were gone! As I jumped out of bed, I was relieved to see that they had just been hiding in my armpits as I slept.
Now I keep them hidden in my waistband.

My heart is in my throat! Its sunday, I'm hoping if he waited this long he can wait another 24 hours - Lynda that's where he went 2 years ago for his first stone (he had blood in his urine, and hs gf/df made him go to that eR - it was the beginning of a long series of hospitals - he got the shunt, he got the shockwave...) Right now he doesnt have his cell phone charged, so who knows... :confused3 dratted kids when they are far from home and need mom!

cranberry juice, its going to become a staple - Food lists - the doc last time felt it was an anomoly and told us not to worry, but to cut down on soft drinks/sodas/coke...

DANCE!! thank you so much for posting that!! I just called and we're all booked too! I wouldnt have thought to book me - but I'll probably get a bigger kick out of it than dd!

yes, dh and I are a bit distraught! Should we drive down there and bring him home? I have no idea what to do!

You have our prayers for your DS:grouphug: ! Is there a nearby hosptial he could go to the emergency room at?? He should not put off treatment as you know he maybe smart but he is not a doctor and need not complicate life with self diagnosis thats what Moms do!

I would insist on him getting to the hospital or Dr office ASAP! PLeae let us know how this goes. I will hope he is just stressed out from studying and is bound up with bad gas. Boys and gas now thats a norm but this he should not mess with!!!!

Did you all hear we had an earthquake?:scared1: It was about 30/40 miles from me, we felt nothing! Luckily only 1 person was hurt but it caused loads of damage. It was about a 4.7 whatever that means not sure what's a big quake? We never ever have quakes so it's all a bit of a panic overhere at one point it was thought it was an explosion!

no, i didn't hear about that! i'm glad no one was killed and only one person was hurt.....well, i'm not *glad* they were hurt, but you know what i mean! we had an earthquake in georgia a few years back. it seems like it was in the early morning hours and DH woke up and said, "what the h*ll was that?" and i told him he was dreaming, go back to sleep. but then when we got up we saw it on the news and realized that's what he felt. crazy stuff!

lynda - i meant to comment on how good your hair looks! don't you just love getting your hair did! ;) i just got mine done the other day and i loves it! but i get bored with it really fast. and it grows soooooo fast so when i get highlights it's hard to keep up with the new growth - i'll probably end up changing the color again when we get back from disney!

by the way, about your *problem* down below.....have you tried mineral oil? that always works for me when i have that problem. i just do a shot (literally a shot in a shot glass) before bedtime and then in the morning my problem usually goes away. and the mineral oil doesn't taste bad. it doesn't taste like anything really....just oily. so i always chase it with cold water to swish around in my mouth so i don't have that nasty oiliness. just a suggestion!

you have any place that i can look up the info on it?
I saw it on one of the other boards here. If you do a search on BBB there is a FAQ thread somewhere that has info on the 'experience' in general. As for the one in the castle, I read that on a post started by a CM who works at the DTD location I think. She just told us when it was opening and when to book. I am now reading they changed the packages a bit,not sure if it is at all the locations or just the castle. The Coach pacakge (the cheapest one, what we got) is $44.95 and includes hair w/choice of style and crown, makeup and nailpolish. The next package up includes fake nails for about $5 more and then there is 'the big one' that includes a costume too. Not sure how much because it was out of the question for us.(over $100 for sure)

Amanda is going to love it!!! What a great thing to do together!! :cloud9:
I know she will love it, and she is gonna be so happy I get to do it with her this time. I tried to book it super early so as not to mess up our touing plans too :goodvibes

:goodvibes thanks Peeps :goodvibes

DANCE!! thank you so much for posting that!! I just called and we're all booked too! I wouldnt have thought to book me - but I'll probably get a bigger kick out of it than dd!

When are you guys going? Which day? I have to say it looked like a ton of fun last time and the 'fairy godmother' who did hers kept trying to talk me into it too....pushing the mother/daughter factor. I didnt do it but Amanda wanted me to. Now I get to do it, in the castle :cool1:

Oh My GOSH! This happened to me TOO!!!!!! :rotfl2:

Me too!

Well, according to the re-weigh, my scale is accurate...today. Of course, I have no idea if it was accurate when it said I was 12 lbs. lighter a week ago! Wendy, I think I'd like to opt out of an official number this week, so I can see what happens next week. I will try to verify that my scale is accurate next week somehow, and if it isn't, I think I will exchange it. If it is, I'll go with that number. Is that OK?

Here's the haircut. It's not great, but DH isn't home, so I had to take it myself. ..

:goodvibes PEEPS :goodvibes Keep those prayers comin - - ds is callin right now, he thinks the medicine the Health center gave him is messin with him - ( Ketorolac) its making him dehydrated but he knows he's drinking his Nalgene bottle of water, and his input and output are off - so he stopped that medicine and there isnt blood in the urine... but he still hurts... He would rather go to a doctor - so we're going to call the urologist from last time and get a reccomendation for him down there -

JO I forgot to PM you and ask how that was - they showed the center on the map and it wasnt that far from London! :scared1: Didnt see that one coming did we!!

Dance I also scheduled us for an 8am time slot - still not telling dd - but I may want to change it, or change our Princess Breakfast in Epcot( so we'll have our Princess Diva 'dos for the breakfast pictures!) - right now I have it scheduled for a nothing planned day! I really feel like my planning is all askewed!!

I do get confused about posting times and dates, and plans as I have been told that problems can arise from that - so I get a littlle freaked out, I know it has happened to others... :confused3

Lynda cant wait to hear how your church day went!! We went to the Caryle ER last time, but I think we're going to see if we can get a referral for DS to a urologist - but its Sunday, so it may not happen today!! Thanks for the :goodvibes

FORGOT to add!! lol

I did my run - - 1.5 miles in SEVENTEEN MINUTES!! :woohoo: I'm on my way... so later today I'm going to increase the distance to 2.5 miles and see if I can work that up to 14 min miles - then increase... I dunno never done this before... but I am out of shape! and I DO HATE running... and :Pinkbounc: :Pinkbounc:

Sandy~ Prayers and :goodvibes for Nathan.

Lynda~ Very cute!

UMa~ Woo Hooty!

I read about the new BBB when I logged onto DIS yesterday. On the main page at the top there's a box with news and happenings. Yesterday's announcements were the BBB, MNSSHP, MVMCP and fall P&PP sale dates.

Well, I can't stay, I have to finish cleaning my LR so I can paint!!!!!! I took the plunge and bought 2 gals of OOPS paint from Home Depot a few weeks ago. It was pretty close to the color that I wanted in the LR and for $1 a gal, it was a steal! I convinced DH to buy the rest of the primer and paint this am so I have to get everything put away and moved so we can get started. I have all the paint I need to finish the LR and to paint the guest room and will have enough for the accents in the mater bedroom. (I picked the same color scheme for those rooms, esp the MBr and guest room so I can mix and match things and save on decorating; just move a few things around when I get tired of seeing them everyday.) Anywho; gettign the paint led us to looking at furniture and we finally found something we can both agree on! I can't buy it now since we are going to Disney but I will get it in the fall. I've been dying to re-decorate for more than 3 yrs but until just recently we couldn't invest the funds so we've been waiting and planning. There's been lots of bartering, bickering, explaining and compromise but it's all coming together. :woohoo: The final thing we have to decide on is carpet..... :headache:

Hmmmmm, kids just moved the sofa, there's lots of interesting stuff under there. A lost sock too, I was wondering where that went.

Alrighty, I have to get my craft cart cleaned off and moved. No more DIS time for me.........

The appt usually takes 30 min or so, and we will both be going at the same time so we should be done no later than 9 I think.

I think the only way for your plans to get messed up from posting them is if you post a conf. # or something. As far as I know, nobody can mess ith a res. without the conf #. :confused3

And, yeah on the run!! That is awesome!!:cheer2:

eeyore The Ketorolac is for pain. It is in the same drug class as Motrin/Advil but stronger. We use it a lot with post surgery patients to help with pain because it is non-narcotic. I dont think it would directly affect the input/output. And from what everyone has said about kidneystones(a pain similar to unmedicated childbirth) I dont think the Ketorolac(Toradol) would help much either. The blood in the urine may still be there- it just may be microscopic- If he is still having pain, he may have passed one stone but may have more to come. If he wants he can do a makeshift strainer with a coffee filter over a plastic cup. You strain the urine and look for any gritty residue- those are the stones. I agree call the urologist. Prayers sent. Hoping he feels better soon.

Pixie Help! Help! I am a victim too! :lmao: :rotfl:

I work with a lot of autistic children in the music and movement class that I teach. I find adding movement helps the kids learn. The teachers tell me what they are working on. I try and put it to music or make a movement activity for the lesson. The teachers are always amazed at how fast the kids learn. Kept an open mind and be creative. I have a lot of fun working with autistic kids.
